A cert of authenticity doesn't count for much. If you are going to fake a gold bar it isnt going to kill you to print a cert lol. Heraeus Gold bars have been faked to death, an example of the 2g ones -  If I was buying gold bars from a non trusted source it would defo be escrow until I got them xrf checked. |

Anyways we are considering escrow only for selected high rating members and escrows because it is not worth the hassle and the risk of tricky escrows playing and fooling around.

I'm rather uncomfortably on the fence on this whole thing after reviewing this all. So Maidak as it would seem is most definitely having liquidity issues. Even then, with liquidity issues, why wouldn't you just give the BTC back? The BTC was simply nicked and sold. I can't see a plausible reason a sane person would do this if their business was struggling.
When you offer to buy $5k worth of BTC saying you will send funds "over in a few minutes" then disappear for months then you are a scammer, no excuses or bullshit. He knew he did not have the funds to pay for the goods before initiating the deal. |
