2361  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: One mistake and l have lost all bitcoin on: June 14, 2020, 02:15:12 PM
1.How did I lose my bitcoin?
I learned about the ETHBull and ETHBear Token which is the 3x leverage token of the FTX exchange. The price of ether was then below $ 100

At that time the price of ETHBear was $ 30 when I invested. Then the price of the Ethereum was around $ 120. At the same time, I panic and I made all my investments on ETHBear in the face of huge profit.

2.Big mistake of my life Angry Angry  Angry

this investment was done at the behest of a youtuber which proved to be a big mistake in my life. Now I have thought that do not invest at the behest of others.

When I lost my entire BTC, I felt very bad, please do not do it.

                                  Thanks for all

In my opinion, there are only a few cryptocurrencies, such as Bitcoin and Ethereum, in the prospects of which there is no doubt, therefore, long-term investments in any amount in these cryptocurrencies will bring real profit to the owner. All other cryptocurrencies, as well as not too popular projects, carry a huge risk for the investor. Of course, in most cases, cryptocurrency users invest their funds not only based on the results of their own observations and full analysis, but also invest under the influence of active advertising, which is one way or another the engine for any project in the cryptocurrency market. But I believe that you should provide all the information about the projects and specifically about the owner of the YouTube channel, which seems to almost trap the investor. at least the community should be aware of the fraudulent actions of certain bloggers if they see unacceptable actions in their activities.
There is only one incomprehensible thing, when you say that you lost all your bitcoins, although in fact you invested in other cryptocurrencies in the project.

Maybe it could be a lot of YouTubers or youtube celebrities are very influential and a lot of companies are using them to promote something like an investment like this.

For sure a lot of them didn't really know the risk of investing in different platforms etc. Since they are just getting paid to do this and not really their own content a lot of people will be influenced to invest too if they see their favorite youtube promoting the thing. I've seen a lot of people loss a lot of money just because they fall into this, don't invest unless you know that you are trusting someone the have experience in the field.
2362  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: {Warning}: Fake Kraken Twitter Account on: June 13, 2020, 08:00:29 PM
Be careful, there is a fake Kraken twitter account. The UI is very similar and even the tweets are exact replicate. But you look at the spelling, it's obvious that this is clone site using homographic attack vector (typo squatting).

FAKE:
Code:
https://twitter.com/kakenfx

Real Kraken account: https://twitter.com/krakenfx

I guess its obvious since we could identify the real account if it has the blue check and also the followers.

Maybe we could just report the other account of pretending to be someone else so that the account will be block or deleted on Twitter. The fake account is trying hard  Grin .
2363  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Coronavirus affects Bitcoin and when it will end on: June 13, 2020, 07:06:40 PM
We do not yet know how long the outbreak of the coronavirus will last. It will depend on the discovery of an effective and readily available vaccine. The vaccine may actually have a few more years in the overall field in the next one year. It is very difficult to say how Bitcoin is affected by the Corona virus crisis. But everyone should be mentally prepared for this.

Pandemic is probably going to last for years around the globe a lot of countries have low cases of COVID-19 but there are also a lot of countries that still don't even recover from the pandemic.

We market is already recovering from the dumps in the past months that I could probably say because of the pandemic or effects of the pandemic in the market but for sure the market is already recovering and sustaining its market price we could even see bitcoin market price back to 9k$.
2364  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Lost password and all access on: June 13, 2020, 05:50:50 PM
Try to reach out to WalletRecoveryServices (if you have an idea about the password and its complexity), I think they're the only ones who support cracking BIP38 wallets. They charge a 20% fee if they manage to crack it.

You could still try this suggestion but if you could just remember your password then it might increase your chance to recover your account.

Most of the time is already lost if you don't have your BIP38 key, I didn't try the WalletRecoveryServices but a lot of people still doubt them but I've seen good reviews too.

You could check this topic for some reviews:

2366  Other / Meta / Re: [Proposal] Show total Received and Send merit on the Merit summary page. on: June 12, 2020, 04:21:08 PM
One of those things is the Signature Campaigns Management, to filter the spammer and shitposters now the campaign managers required a certain amount of merit to be earned in the past 120 days in order to accept participants.
Although I like the suggestion, I don't think the forum should adjust to make it easier for signature campaign managers. And they still need to review the Merited posts to check if the Merit was earned.

A third party service can easily provide this without involving Admin. I've been thinking about offering my scripting-services (example) for the benefit of campaign managers, but didn't get to make a topic yet. Apart from this example I have a much better working system to review and count posts, but it's non-public.

I like the suggestion and it would make it easier to check the merits and the merits earn in 120 days for a lot of users.

But @LoyceV have a point here, Hmmm I guess its because we need the information of merits for joining a signature campaign which should not really be the focus or should not be the focus here in the forum. Maybe we should focus or improve other parts of the forum which is more important than this matter.

2371  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 5 Reasons Why I Prefer a Bitcoin Mobile Wallet on: June 10, 2020, 05:08:37 PM
Everyone recommends a hardware wallet to store Bitcoin, which Bitcoin wallet is good to safeguard your investment for free is a question? maintaining those hardware wallets is a pain in the wrong place.

As of my experience, these are
My Five REASON Why I do not want to buy them?

1. They are costly if you are paid in Bitcoin as a bounty hunter or for a gig.
2. They are a liability as if, you lose it you will lose your investment.
3. They are not easy to operate and most exchanges do not support them.
4. They have to be updated periodically or you will never see your Bitcoin in them.
5. They can still be hacked if you are using them online for trading or other stuff.

If you think I am wrong with my opinion then do comment.

Thanks.

Probably a lot of people would still store some bitcoin in a bitcoin mobile wallet because it is easy to navigate or manage your wallet, more reliable, and the portability.

The best advice is to get a hardware wallet and store bitcoin that you want to store for a long term investment, and at the same time, you could also store a small amount of bitcoin in the other wallet where you could easily withdraw or deposit bitcoin.

It doesn't mean the bitcoin mobile wallet or custodial wallet is not safe. Just don't store a lot of funds in it, or probably just use it if you need to withdraw and deposit.

Hi,
I wonder if any of you have this problem? It's been a long time since I've been interested in Bounties section. And it was strange for me to receive notifications email about a new campaign there. I thought I turned on the notification there somehow, so I went there to turn off the notification and this is the result

Meaning I didn't turn on notifications but I still got the notification, it must be something wrong here. Has anyone had the same problem?

Are you talking about this bounty?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5254397.0

Maybe your notifications are ON on the service section, where the topic originally is, I reported it since it is in services to be move-in bounties section.

When you open the notification it is already moved in the bounties that could be it  Smiley.
2374  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [DISCUSSION] How to overcome a big loss in gambling? on: June 08, 2020, 05:22:42 PM
I guess you just need to take a break after losing a big amount of money here in gambling as we know we cannot always win in the game so losing is part of the game.

A lot of gamblers are quitting after a big loss which is I think normal if we don't want to lose money anymore. But it just how gambling works sometimes your luck and win the game and sometimes lose.
2375  Other / Off-topic / Re: 5 Privacy Browsers that are available for Android on: June 07, 2020, 06:42:19 PM
@Asuspawer09, using Chrome or any other service Google provides isn't really the wisest move if you value your privacy. I wouldn't recommend it.
Regarding brave, read the article gentlemand referred to and you will know why you shouldn't use it (they were using their referral links when redirecting users!).
Didn't use the other browsers yet but what I would recommend is using Tor over vpn.

Appreciate it, if only TOR doesn't make the connection I would not stop using it.

I was annoyed logging-in here in the forum, especially when using TOR since you need to log-in every time you open the website. Also, captcha is a nightmare if you have a slow internet connection.

I would still use TOR if I have secured and fast connection on my personal computer.
2376  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Solve this Blockchain Puzzle & Win Bitcoin [Puzzle #2] on: June 07, 2020, 06:04:56 PM
Solving a puzzle is always fun, but people always do that thing only if the bounty is acceptable and not to low for them to waste their time finding hints and etc. Also, I didn't see engagement into that tweet where the puzzle is posted, maybe people are too choosy to solve a puzzle since there are still unsolved with higher price.

The twitter account who posts the puzzle only has 17 followers and the account is just created Junes 2020.

It is fun to do this  puzzle and you could also win prizes, I remember last time where you could win a 1.1 BTC if you solve a very hard puzzle (By Phemex):

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5219581.0

If the contest is legit that's great but if he's just doing it to get more followers on twitter it's a no for me.
2377  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquiao Might Fight Golovkin on: June 07, 2020, 05:32:32 PM
>>Manny Pacquiao vs Golovkin (Proposed)

Manny Pacquiao is campaigning at 147 lbs while GGG at 160 lbs. Manny is 41 years old and GGG is 38. Both fighters are on a downhill of their career.

IMO, even if the fight will take place at 154 lbs, Manny would still lose as GGG will be too big for him though a little slower than Manny but he is a heavy puncher and a single punch from him would slow down Manny. I'm a Pacman fan and personally i don't want this fight to happen as this would damage Manny's health.
This is the real take on this match up, Manny Pacquiao is not a match up for Gennady Golovkin because of the size difference and there is nothing left to prove for Manny Pacquiao at 41 years of age. He is still fighting to raise money for his charity works and he should not fight bigger established fighters, i am fine Manny fighting new fighters to raise money but not GGG.

I think Manny Pacquiao can still dominate his opponent because of his speed and being furious inside the ring. I know that there are people who are saying that Pacquiao is already old and he is not in his prime now. Golovkin is really a great fighter and is unpredictable in the ring but we can't conclude a result.

This matchup can really make a lot of money because people still want to watch money inside the ring. He is a crowd favorite and he is really relentless and he respects his opponents with all his personality. That's one of the traits that I'm looking for in an athlete.

Sometimes we just really do think of the possibilities that Manny Pacquiao can still fight even if he is already not that fast enough to dominate his opponent. Goodluck to the both of them!

Manny Pacquiao is also a Senator in the  Philippines and at this moment I just don't think if he is still going to be interested in a fight in the boxing ring because the COVID-19 pandemic is just a big problem already for the country.

Without the COVID-19 Manny is going to fight whoever wants to fight him in the ring, He still has the speed and power to fight even he already have the legacy and could retire at any moment.
2378  Other / Off-topic / Re: 5 Privacy Browsers that are available for Android on: June 07, 2020, 05:10:24 PM
I only use google chrome because it just feels a bit fast than the other browsers like Firefox, Microsoft Edge, etc. And I just download the Brave browser because I read a lot of good feedback here in the forum.

I've been using it for almost a week even in my android device so far it did a really good job, and it just links in a lot of cryptocurrencies so I feel like using it.

What could really be the advantage of the brave browser compared to the other browsers?

Guys,

Matanong ko lang sa lahat ng matagal ng user ng Coins.Ph ...

Normal ba na mag auto Log Out and account natins a mobile kahit wala tayong ginagawa?i have installed and using my coins.Ph apps for more than a year now sa same gadget pero never pa ako nag log out, pero ngayong gani pag open ko eh nag ask ng "Sign In" ulit meaning nag auto log out ang account ko,Normal po ba ito?

That's It kabayan, yan ang pinagtataka ko kasi hindi ako sa web nag online in which not normal sa Apps na mag auto log out.
