2361  Economy / Speculation / Re: Need more more to invest on crypto. on: February 16, 2022, 04:22:46 AM
On coinmarketcap.com, the price of bitcoin has dropped below 35K USD, which is an excellent opportunity to start an investment in bitcoin. Waiting for this time, but I just need more money. I'm hoping to earn more money the next day so that I may take advantage of the falling bitcoin market price.

I'm not really sure where you see $35k because the current price is around $43k-$44k.

In any case though, I do hope that you know "buy the f**ing dip" (BTFD). So that is the best opportunity to scoop BTC because they are cheap.

But as you have said, you need to have money first before you execute your plan. So best of luck to you!!!.

Good set of games tonight.  I like the Timberwolves against Charlotte -6.  Think they roll in a win at home tonight vs a tough Hornets team.  And then gimme Memphis-3.5 on the road against the Pelicans.  Until shown otherwise Memphis should roll on teams like this.

True a lot of good games for tonight. Very tough to decide but I go with the Atlanta Hawks +1.5 against the Cavs. This will be a close and high scoring game. I'm seeing Trae Young going to explode in this game in the latter part of the 4th quarter. Although John Collins is not playing, I think Bogdan, Huerter and Gallinari can cover for him.

Good call on the Hawks game,  I would say that it was a very close game, some lead changes, but in the fourth, when the Hawks have a slim margin, Young and Bogdan hit back to back 3's and then Huerter hitting on the side. And I think that is enough for a good separation for them and the Cavs wasn't able to get close. Lavert though has a horrendous shooting night.

Simmons are very lively with this new home, he even said that he feel that he is accepted by the Nets. And be prepared him making a comeback with him, Kyrie and Durant together.

As for Tyreke Evans, hopefully some teams will give him at least a 10 day contract and see if he still has it. This kid has a lot of potential, and even become the rookie of the year (2009). But bad decisions in life, hopefully he learns from it and could start a clean slate.
2364  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Estrada vs Gonzalez Trilogy - March 5 on: February 16, 2022, 01:04:12 AM
^^ Just sad to see the Estrada can't make it to this epic trilogy, but you can't blame his people for not allowing him to fight. Because they could make an excuse if they losses the 3rd fight and says that the lingering effect of Covid-19 is still on Estrada's system that's why the sluggish performance.

In any case Martinez is a good replacement, very hungry to be the first person to knock out Chocolatito. So we will see if he can do it.
2365  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is the objective of bitcoin redirected? on: February 15, 2022, 08:44:47 PM
From the past decade, bitcoin failed to add any value to the real world. It was supposed to be an alternative payments solution but it become an assets class for storing values. Its technology is old, slow, and expensive compared to many altcoins.

But you can still used it as payment system isn't it? What do you mean old? There is one recent development, which is LN (lightning network),  to enable instant payment.

Still, people investing in bitcoin because of its extremely fast-moving advantages compared to other assets like stock and gold and its extensive nature. Is the objective of bitcoin is dead or has it's been redirected on purpose?

Again, the purpose is still there, maybe the right term is that it has evolved because it become a class asset. Nevertheless, bitcoin can still be used for micro-payment scheme as envisioned by Satoshi himself.
2366  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Drake Wagered $1.3 million in super bowl bet using bitcoin on: February 15, 2022, 05:30:11 AM
Is this is paid publicity? I'm just curious, but regardless, I still like the fact that a celebrity is not afraid of risking huge money using a crypto sportsbook. Stake is already popular in the crypto space, but with this publicity, for sure they will be more popular, and it will not end there as the whole crypto gambling world will benefit from this kind of publicity.

I would say that it is possible, only Stake can answer that for us. They have been in crypto industry for so long that maybe they really attracted famous individuals to bet on their platform. Or maybe they contacted Drake to bet on them with something in return. Anyhow, for sure this is a big exposure for the whole crypto market seeing it being covered in the media for the biggest sporting events in the US.
2367  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: February 15, 2022, 03:27:45 AM
We all got destroyed by the Bucks bets, lol, no Giannis so it's a automatic lost for us.

I do think though that they have a good chance even with Holiday and Middleton, but the Blazers can't be denied on this road win.

I also enjoy the Thunder vs Knicks game, it went into OT but OKC prevail eventually.
2368  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING]: RYAN GARCIA vs EMMANUEL TAGOE - April 9 on: February 15, 2022, 03:04:48 AM
Obviously Garcia will win in this fight, but I don't know what's the odds from bookies... if the odds is very small I wouldn't bet and just skipping the fight since it will be boring. Garcia is young and have fought many times, why does he should cherry pick instead of become a challenger to got world title. If Tank and Kambosos are really hard opponent, he could fight with Devin Haney.

I wouldn't be so sure Garcia would win. Of course, youth and endurance are on his side, but experience is definitely in Tagoe's favor. Tagoe is not yet the age where he can be scared of his form, so in my opinion it cannot be said that anyone here is a definite favorite.

For now, there is no odds yet for a Garcia vs. Tagoe fight, but I think when they show up they'll be quite even.

Definitely, no one could be sure of the outcome, however, Garcia is surely the favorite to win and though Tagoe has a decent record I think the qualify of his rights is not good enough to level the capability of Ryan Garcia in the ring. This is my personal opinion too, I could be wrong though.

Garcia has great marketing and will definitely be favored in this fight. Right now I can see (while there aren't even the official odds yet) that a lot of people are putting him on as a sure winner in this fight. He did not lose and it is certainly a gold mine for the promoters, but I believe that Tagoe's experience should not be underestimated. He is still at an age where he can achieve a lot.

Yeah, because of Garcia's big mouth and his social media presence, he himself is a great marketing tool. But what we wanted to see him if fight Tank Davis or Haney. Specially Davis who he have been calling out years ago before he take a break in boxing. Tagoe has the experience but I think the younger one with good fundamental skills are going to win this fight.
2369  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: February 13, 2022, 02:57:00 AM
There is a Warriors - Lakers game tonight and this is a really good one. Warriors are of course the favourite side very highly here. Because Lakers' latest results haven't been impressive. They are still depending on Lebron only and this makes them desperate in most of their games. They need to perform better as a team to be more effective and to get decent results regularly. Warriors are the second best team in the regular season so far. They wouldn't have mercy on Lakers if they come across a poor resistance.
Warriors last 2 games are not good as well, however, comparing the two, the Warriors are more consistent than the Lakers, and this season Lakers are really losing against a stronger team, so I guess we will still be seeing some chemistry issue in this game.

Yeah, but it is still close at halftime with the Warriors just having a 3 point lead. But we all know that Warriors love a 3rd quarter run so we will see, I think they will beat the struggling Lakers here.

It the Lakers win, then Warriors are on the slump and the Grizzlies can catch with them at the 2nd spot at they won their game today.
2370  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: February 13, 2022, 01:57:55 AM
Tonight's ML was very high, 3 out of 11 games tomorrow have a spread of more than +/-10 along with the superdogs Phoenix vs Magic (+/-16). Also tomorrow, it's 76ers vs Cavs but I think Harden still can't play tonight though.

Other lines were risky, so I'll play much safer for now. I'll pick Memphis Grizzlies -7 vs Charlotte Hornets.
Hornets have won against Pistons and will play a back to back game tomorrow, I'll guess they'll be much weary tomorrow against the fresh Grizzlies. GL!

Yeah, similar bet with the Grizzlies, again they are on the hottest streak so why not?

And then we have the Suns vs Magic, I think the Suns can cover the double digit spread, they have been covering spreads lately specially if they are the underdog.

Warriors vs Lakers has started, Warriors took a slight lead already.
2371  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: February 12, 2022, 04:34:36 AM
Finally, a discussion far away from the Lakers.  Grin I think we filled 2 pages or more with all speculations about them.

Regarding the lack of Ben Simmons shooting, the Nets could patch it up with their high offensive rate. Durant, Patty Mills, Kyrie, and more can definitely shoot the ball and that includes Seth Curry. He may work like a forward/center to be near the rim and his hooks. Coach Nash doesn't need to force the point guard position on him as long as he can play ball again.

76ers on the other hand may have to go through their floor spacing after losing one of their sharpshooter Seth Curry. Let's face it, Danny Green lost his touch, he's not that scary anymore unlike when he was at Spurs and Raptors.

Well we can go back to the Lakers discussion, Lol. There were reports that there is John Wall-Russell Westbrook trade. But Houston wanted a draft pick but the Lakers refused to give it to them.

So I guess Westbrook will be a Lake for this season, but it will not end well with him and Lebron James as they are still in the 9th place in the West.
2372  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The impact on BTC price in case of a potential Russia-Ukraine war on: February 12, 2022, 03:40:04 AM
Everyone hates war, I hate it too. But these days everyone is talking about it  Angry If such war would happen which would be the impact on BTC price?

Depends on how long this war will take, if this is going to short then there shouldn't be able major impact to the price. But if the wars drags on for months and even years, then maybe "smart" people will put their money on bitcoin and hedge their wealth on it. Take note I emphasize smart because there could be individual who thinks that gold or precious metals is still the best investments today.
2373  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: February 12, 2022, 03:09:24 AM
My bet barely made it Cavs at -6.5 against the Pacers. I think the Pacers is still in disarray right now but they made it close to the Cavs and I almost lost my bet, but the Cavs won by 7 points.

Anyone who bet on the Bulls? I don't know what's the opening line for them against the Timberwolves but it seems that they are pulling away at the end of the 3rd quarter.
2374  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 11, 2022, 03:44:28 AM
What are the next few interesting boxing matches in the coming days and weeks?

The most recent i can see is the one between Jacobs and Ryder on this Saturday, day after tomorrow. The next one is between brook and khan on Feb 19 but the most awaited one will be on April 30 between Taylor and Serrano.

In addition to the upcoming fights you mentioned there is also the rematch between Jermell Charlo and Brian Castano next month. Although this is not the Charlo that was earlier rumored to be fighting against Canelo, this twin is also an interesting fighter. He is after all no less than the unified world super welterweight champion. This match will finally decide as to who among the two is the better man after a split draw last year.

But all these are not really mega fights. Especially compared to the Fury vs Whyte match in April.

Yeah, the first fight was controversial, Castano has more power shots as per stats but Charlo won the fight and ended up in a split draw. So this is a rematch and for the unification.

As for Jacobs, he continue to fight after his lost to Canelo, he took a hiatus and then went up in weight and continue his boxing career. So it's good that he will have a fight early this year.
2375  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance, led by Changpeng Zhao, is taking a $200 million stake in Forbes on: February 11, 2022, 03:19:03 AM
Grin Grin Grin forbes is old and maybe trusted by lots of people and yes after buy this you can control the media  Grin Grin and gain more people to join binance

i think binance would not stop here

Maybe CZ wanted to change the perception of the public towards crypto and he can used the Forbes to market it for him.

Or he is just expanding his business because he has so much money right now that it is better to really spread out his wealth and not just put everything in one basket. So I guess it's a win win move by CZ here.
2376  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin touched $43k, from $33k in two weeks on: February 11, 2022, 02:46:12 AM
It all be good now, actually. But somehow, many are still thinking about a trap and consider this current situation a curse for them to lose. In fact, I don't see it either. Instead, we gonna see it moving high and reach back to $45k.
It's not odd, I mean if you were to look at what the past looked like, there have been many instances of traps in the market that happened. I mean it wouldn't be that odd for another dump to happen, and by then people would really be fearful and probably sell. I'd honestly just take it as a good sign that the market is slowly recovering, I just hope no big pumps happen since that again might cause the market to crash down to even lower levels than what we have right now.

That's correct, many traps in the past has been set, when we thought that we are in a bull run, suddenly the price will go south. And then it will rebound again, as it someone behind is playing the market for us. So just like what I said in the past, be wary and cautious of the sudden spike in 2 weeks, the more we grow the higher we fall, just saying.
2377  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: February 11, 2022, 02:25:27 AM
EDIT: Harden has been traded to the Sixers!

Just read the report from Chams...  Looks like Harden for Simmons is a done deal.  Pretty exciting move for both teams as Simmons wasn't playing and Harden has been terrible this year.  I think it's a win-win for both teams as a result.  I think Harden and Embid makes a better combination than Embid and Simmons.  I'm not sure how Simmons will fit in with the Nets, but I think given that Kyrie and Durant both love to shoot the ball, his style of play won't be as out of place as it was with the Sixers.  I'm looking forward to seeing Simmons play again and although I'm not sure if he is a "big 3" type of guy, he'll definitely have a chance to prove himself.  It can't be worse than the Harden experiment.
That's surprising. Steve Nash made it clear that they need Harden but it feels like he has no say to whatever the management will do.
Or... is this how powerful Daryl Morey is to make things happen so they will have a shot for the championship. Now, the 76ers just needs to wait for Harden to heal while the Nets will have a new pointguard that may change the trajectory of their future. We might see the Nets win again if ever Simmons will work out with the rest of the team.
Yes, its exciting. A bit of twist at the Eastern Conference.

Yes, I was also under the impression that Harden will be at least untouchable up to the end of the season. But guess what? when the management want to shift you, they will, just like what they did here for him. 76ers though give up a lot of their players and future picks, so they will feel the weight of this trade for now because Harden is still injured. As for the Nets, lets see how Simmons will contribute, if he can play right now and then bring a W for them, then good.
2378  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: February 11, 2022, 02:05:50 AM
Warriors literally let every one down! The first 5 minutes of the game was incredible, and it felt like it was going to be an easy win for them but the narrative change after that and the Warriors had no answer whatsoever.

Yup mate, it was a big let down, I put a decent money on them to win by that handicap but when I check the score in the 3rd it was a blow out already.

Anyhow, let's move forward, I still got them -9.5 against the Piston in their homecourt, so hopefully they will bounce back from that awful lost the Jazz gave them.
2379  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin on its way to $100000?! on: February 10, 2022, 03:32:52 AM
I truly appreciate your submission I do believe that Bitcoin is  on it way to $100k no doubt, but are we going to see the Bitcoin at $100k is the most difficult things for any price speculators though Bitcoin is actually on it way. Remember that Bitcoin is not going to be on the straight increase in value till it reaches $100k without redress no to that because Bitcoin value is influenced by the forces of demand and supply.

Be careful what you wish for, I mean if we go hit $100k is just short amount of time, we could be in a bubble phase and it could burst anytime soon, so it's not healthy.

So it's better to have a steady growth in prices, for me it's better if we are not going to get there this year at least. Might be good to just see the price below that 6 digits while we accumulate at this year and still buy cheap bitcoin to fatten our wallet. And then wait till the next real bull run, not artificial one this year.
2380  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: February 10, 2022, 02:43:46 AM
For the weight issues, he has to work hard to lose that excess pounds. Still months to go, so again, this is doable and hopefully that stomach issue that he had before won't come out again. That is the main problem here as it is viral and come back anytime.

If I'm not mistaken Casimero has had already a number of weight issues in the past. His latest weight issue involving his match against Butler was certainly not the first. This has become a recurring problem with the boxer. I guess there is a problem either with his personal physical conditioning training or his conditioning team.

If Casimero is having a hard time adjusting his body in his present weight class why doesn't he move to another class so that he'll get his 100% comfort?

Maybe he has a hard time adjusting to this weight class already, but we will see if he wanted to stay here or move up after this fight. Maybe it will depend on his training right now and how we feels, and it could also depends on his team, what will be their best advise for him. We want him and Inoue to go against each other this year, but if he moves up then obviously this might not happen in this division unless Inoue goes another weight class as well.
