2361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ever heard of this "buy at dip and be rich in the future" on: May 03, 2022, 04:48:32 PM
Buying the dip is a risky game. The dip that we will bounce off may be here now, may be at -90% after 10 years of bear market, may never be for some coins...

I'm catching the dip too but I know that we may dump much lower so I'm not using more than 10-20% of money I want to invest in single product and I'm ready for long term accumulation. For example I was accumulatin BNB for more than 2 years before it pumped from 15$ average buy to 600$.
There is really no way that you would be able to know when there would be a dip. Most people who keep looking for the market to dip ends up missing the opportunity they would have had. Sometimes we think that the price would continue to fall, but it wouldn’t fall as much as we expected it to, it would reverse and starts going up.

I have seen such happen several times, so it’s usually best to just invest whenever you feel that you are comfortable with it. If you have the money to invest in the market you should go ahead and do so and not wait for any dip, except when you are very short of it.
2362  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The trend is your friend if you know how to identify it)) on: May 02, 2022, 09:32:24 PM
There is no such thing as 98% accuracy while predicting the future of altcoins and difficult trend analysis while predicting bitcoin. Both of them are assets or crypto currencies who are highly dependent on market and its position. There is market depth, volume, daily use cases, social influence, external news forces and technical analysis which will define the collective price for current time or future times. Trend is based on above mentioned factors. Only way to get it right is to learn them and asses them so that you can come to conclusive results.
98 percent? Wow, they seem so sure with it but they can say that maybe because they think that alts always follow btc and for them its a piece of cake to predict alts that way but for some that don't know it yet or don't believe that it works that way, they are the ones that will argue.

It's more easier to predict altcoins that are in the top 10 because we are more surer that they have a brighter future than those who are in the lower brackets. Trend word on the hand looks like it only came from the social media but actually, trend is more than that. You already state different examples above where trend could come. We can use it to make our predictions more successful.
2363  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin reaches maximum, target $80K BTC on: May 02, 2022, 08:44:28 PM
Maybe we can try to understand and believe this will come when the 3rd quarter near to end because this is the time when the market and investors starts to show their support in market and this is also the time when the whole crypto community is making different approach ,
so lets see what is the to come in after this quarter, and if this coming to the near end .
Not the beginning because the month now is already may. almost 5 months have passed and along with that, the price had improved a little but this is not enough for some to say that 80k is coming. For us that are strict in terms of price predictions, we can only say that 80k is coming once the price reached 60k or more.

If we check the chart history we can see that on some years, the bull begins on the 3rd quarter but there are also years that it didn't happened so it is still hard to say if there will be a bigger surprises once we hit the 3rd quarter of this year or the situation will still remains the same as on what we are seeing now.
2364  Economy / Gambling / Re: Find out about the Best Bitcoin Casinos or any other Casinos ;) on: May 02, 2022, 08:11:54 PM
Surprised to see this thread get bumped after a long time which is weird if you think about it. Anyway, I decided to check the site out and didn't like it due to reasons like bad site design, unknown casinos etc.

Op should rename the title of this thread to 'Best FIAT casinos that accept BTC and other popular cryptocurrencies'. Pointless site for crypto gamblers overall.
I did some back readings and I see that this thread was bumped by user @Agbe (link to profile: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=3419144) I don't know if it's habit to bumped old posts or what but I believe that he is not related to the op or to the site that op is promoting because as we can see he carries a different signature (bitlucy) he is just another member that joins a sig campaign but anyway you are right the op's website are I think mostly fiat casinos but there is one casino there that accepts crypto, it is fortunejack.

I didn't find their design bad. The casino might be unknown to you or to some users here because again they are fiat-based. I just noticed that he mentioned " or any other casinos" on his title, which can be understandable already but he can go and follow your suggested title.
2365  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where does your country stand ? on: May 02, 2022, 05:58:49 PM
the same as in my country where casinos are still carried out in secret. and those who are forced to play will plunge into the casino secretly. and the casino here is not only used as entertainment, but the players have high hopes that their lives can improve drastically through casino profits.

because the economy is not good and most of the people who have lost their jobs. and they make a living through casinos. but lately more and more players.
I think I now understand why gambling in your country is restricted because if they didn't do it then it can lead to a more poorer life because in your country jobs are already limited and people have a wrong mindset about gambling because they think gambling can be a good alternative to it. Instead of prioritizing gambling and making it more legal, would it be better if the government focus first on providing jobs to their people?

There must be wealthy people living on your country and they are the ones that will treat gambling as a form of entertainment and not as a way to make more money because they are already wealthy anyway.
2366  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin a Partway to Becoming Self-Reliance. on: May 01, 2022, 09:51:39 PM
You can only have financial freedom if you have a lot of bitcoin in your wallet. If you have less than 1 BTC then it might not be enough for you to survived specially if the cost of living in your country is very high.

Of course, we as bitcoin enthusiast know this one, that's why it's better to save and accumulate first before we can claim that we indeed gain our freedom. So invest early and just save as many as you can because the supply is getting thinner.
Yeah, another thing is that BTC doesn’t automatically make you rich, it’s something that takes time. You have to invest and you will have to patience for the market to become bullish, which I know most people hardly do, because they don’t have much to spare, they just want to invest and make earnings quickly which is usually not the case.

But, anyone who is able to have that level of patience and wait till the market goes up will always benefit from it. A lot of people has indeed obtained financial freedom through this.
2367  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is it bad to leave crypto on exchanges? on: May 01, 2022, 09:14:06 PM
if there is no activity on the exchange in the long term, it is better not to leave assets on the exchange because there will be more risk. except if we do transactions every day, so the activity is always there, and maybe only the profits we take are transferred to the wallet, and even then if we don't compound. if one day the exchange gets hacked, then our funds run out, and security is not in our own hands
It makes no sense storing your money in the exchange for no reason but is there anyone here did that? Except only to those who lost access to their account. Some exchange offers staking and other forms to earn when you lend your crypto to them but that's a different story anymore.

Being active like doing trades still has its own risk not because cryptos are volatile but because your assets are vulnerable to hacks as active traders doesn't withdraw all their funds but they keep most of it inside the exchange to save fees and time. That's still better anyway than losing all of your funds at once due to hacks. Rest only assured that we are using an exchange with good security.
2368  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is using 2fa safe in every way on: May 01, 2022, 08:48:06 PM
~
Obviously as what others mentioned in here, there is no direct connection between 2fa and your usual crypto transaction so no, OP.
Since the transaction went through already, I would be more concerned on the current device that you are using since the hacker could possibly more damage which I hope I am wrong. Either do a virus scan or clean install of your device.
Start from there then start implementing 2FA and PIN if you really wish for an extra layer of security.
There is no direct connection if he didn't set a 2fa but if he sets it then there is a connection because before you log on or do any transactions, you will need to enter the 2fa code that will be sent in your mailbox or phone number.

You might be right that his device is already infected by some malware or viruses and it's not safe to use it anymore. He can do some scanning, hard resetting the phone or completely logout all his accounts and transfer to a fresh device and next time he will need to be more careful on what he was dealing with. Who wouldn't want to have an extra layer of security? Unless if he don't care that his funds will get hacked one day (which already happened). I bet he changed his mind now.
2369  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Turkish Super League & 1. League 2021/22 Season on: May 01, 2022, 07:44:15 PM
It is my duty to congratulate Trabzonspor for this championship, who won their last championship(officially) before I was born. The whole city has been waiting for this championship for years like crazy. I hope they don't get worse after this championship as like last champion Beşiktaş.
Everyone talks about how shady the championship this year has been, but to be fair I fair half of ALL championships have been a bit tainted at the very least. I do not really believe that this one is really that much different than any of the other ones, not just one or two years, I suppose there must be like 20 championships like this in history, hence not really out of regular situation aside from the fact that Trabzonspor won it after 4 decades give or take which is unique. Kudos to them for building a proper team by the way, their team roster looks like a proper team unlike most other "big" clubs that tried their best this year.
2370  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon and and how this "dude" could effect bitcoin in the future? on: May 01, 2022, 01:21:19 PM
It was very difficult to refuse such an offer and Elon knows how to be convincing if he needs it. ) Of course, he will promote his interests with the help of twitter, but I have a question here: will this not be manipulation, will this attract the attention of regulators? Perhaps not, because if he was not held accountable after the manipulations with bitcoin and Tesla, then it will be even more difficult to do this here...
It wasn't really hard to refuse, it was mostly forced. I do not think that he is buying twitter to promote doge, that makes no sense and he can't possibly make that much money back based on that. I am 100% sure that crypto will be a big part of his acquiring of twitter, there will be some crypto related stuff but that's not the only reason.

I am sure that majority of the reason why he is buying twitter is combined facts of the business being a profitable one and also him wanting to change some stuff. We have to remember that media is changing style, there are more people watching youtube and reading twitter to learn about news these days, specially us younger generation who are under 40-50 years old.
2371  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Good crypto casino comparison site on: May 01, 2022, 10:06:41 AM
Tried to open playbetr review but it looks like it is not working. I see only 6 casinos listed in your website, are you planning to add more casinos or gambling sites that you are going to review. I think there are some good crypto casino here in the forum that you can add such as 1xbit and roobet.
Not only playbetr but other casino reviews are not working as well. There's only 2 casino reviews that are working and that are mbit and bitstarz. I think the site is still new and it's under construction and I think they only prioritize this two casino because they are being paid to do so while the rest can only be referrals that they will be getting and as we can see their number one casino in the list is bitstarz but I am sure that most of us here won't agree with that as this casino is rarely heard and being talked about in this forum.

I agree that roobet is a good casino and can be added on the list but 1xbit? This one is shady but I understand why you include it because you are a participant on their campaign.
2372  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: More regulation on crypto developers, altcoins and exchanges on: April 30, 2022, 09:58:02 PM
I am thinking this will be for altcoins and exchanges and not bitcoin.
Technically, yes. The government can not regulate every decentralized cryptocurrency and privacy coin but they will want to regulate the initial offering (crypto developers), CEX, and some stablecoin like USDT to prevent another market cap manipulation which was once done by the USDT team.
I would say that it is not a horrible idea neither. All those stablecoins collect hundreds of billions of dollars from the investors and they make a profit from it and they get away with it. I mean if everyone gave me 100 billion dollars, I would be able to store it well enough and make enough profit from it and could pay it back whenever asked as well.

It would take me a year to get that going properly with the legal papers but I would be easily handling that eventually, not really impossible. So, why trust tether? Why trust any company at all for it? It is such a huge amount. So, them getting some closer eye on them would be fine by me for sure. They are not decentralized anyway, they deserve it.
2373  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Semifinals! on: April 30, 2022, 09:42:19 PM
Winning this game will see Real Madrid attacking more in this game and if Pep Guardiola utilize this very well then he can win the game successfully.
It's all clear that Liverpool are already in the final, the likes of Danjuma and Chukwueze were all absent but present in that game.
That waa as a result of them defending ,if you they was creating chances and defending they should have had a goal in the match.
Pep is the perfect mastermind to counter teams who are overtly attacking. Madrid needs to attack, they lost the first game and they need a score and not like they can't find it. I am sure both teams will score in this game and wagering on that should be an easy bet, probably has very low odds as well.

But, the real deal is that if Real is fighting so hard to score, then their defense will be a bit higher, and their midfield will basically be around the box of City, which would allow city to pass quickly and go counter attacking and that means City will use the weakness of such tactics for their advantage and it will once again be a game with many goals.
2374  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: April 30, 2022, 09:18:02 PM
in the 80th minute when the score was still ahead of PSG 3-2 they replaced 3 of their players and of course it will be difficult when new players are not able to adapt very well on the field.
it's true that PSG have confirmed themselves as champions and this result has no effect on them but I think it is very embarrassing for a team with great players like PSG to be able to come back by the Strasbourg team.
I lost a lot of my money in this match because I chose PSG to win. Cry
I mean it wasn't a bad decision to wager on PSG for such a game, sure it was unexpected and even a draw would be a shock let alone a win from strassbourg, but at the end of the day it was a 90+ minute goal that secured the draw. They do not have that many games that end up with such result, PSG usually wins, 24 wins in 35 games, it was 24 wins in 34 games before this so it makes sense to wager on them.

I personally believe in martingale used in sports, so if you wager on PSG to win the next game then you could probably make your money back, risky move and you should be careful if you do not have the funds for it and should just wager regularly.
2375  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are new bitcoin users early or late to the party? on: April 30, 2022, 08:20:30 PM
Bitcoin values still not stable and changed nowadays looks worry for the beginner not have based on their expectation, maybe when investing on bitcoin and price drop their mentality is not ready. Maybe still not late enter on crypto but always waiting with lower price for investing, don't worry without achievement profit on daily day but how keep consistent profit weekly without to be long term investor after price drop and need waiting more than two or four months later to get profit.
Beginners will always end up being overtly scared of every single volatile movement, that is going to change the more they see it because they will eventually get used to it. Having daily profit would be impossible for the long term as well, I mean you could profit for a day, a week, or maybe even a month if you are lucky and a veteran but eventually you will lose, nobody should be focusing on making a profit every day.

Long term investors thrive in that situation, I have been holding bitcoin so long that even if it drops to 20k I will still be in profit and that is what I love about bitcoin, it is a long term appreciating asset.
2376  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon and and how this "dude" could effect bitcoin in the future? on: April 30, 2022, 07:22:12 PM
No, sorry I can't agree with that. It wasn't Elon that inspired people to use bitcoin but there are many influencers that encourages the use of bitcoin before he came in the scene. Elon isn't a true bitcoin supporter but he only use bitcoin to gain followers or attention because later on he drop the support for bitcoin and then replaces it with meme coins. There where rumours that Elon will change twitter for good, saying that he don't like the current twitter because it restricts some post or countries. That's a good advocacy there, only if that is true.

The reason I am doubting is because Elon has some shady background before. If he adopts dogecoin on twitter, I don't think that will affect bitcoin. What I know is that bitcoin only affects altcoins and not the other way around.
Elon really didn't do much about bitcoin to be fair. People are forgetting that we were in a pandemic period where everything went up with fake money, governments all around the world kept on printing free money for everyone and most of those people who didn't need it ended up buying investments with it, some did gold ,some did stocks and plenty did crypto and that is why it went up.

Doge could be his baby and that is why maybe he got up but at the end of the day it was a fake one and dropped harshly after he stopped tweeting about it. Bitcoin didn't get any help from him whatsoever, maybe just the purchase they did but that's it.
2377  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: April 29, 2022, 09:50:44 PM
I think that the Barcelona - Mallorca match is going to be a huge opportunity for Barcelona to improve their morale a lot after getting poor results in the recent times. Maybe they are still not one of the most credible teams lately but I feel that they are going to get an enormous win against Mallorca in Camp Nou. They would surely dominate this match from the beginning of it. But the most important part is to reflect this performance on the score of the match also. They couldn't do it against Cadiz and Vallecano but I believe it is time to do it against Mallorca.
Or a chance for them to lose all of it. They have been playing well up until the Frankfurt match, and now it looks like they have been put into a chaos and they do not know how to get out. If they can win the Mallorca game then it's great, two wins back to back, but if they lose this one as well, I do not know what to feel about it anymore.

Hopefully they will end up with something decent, otherwise they are going to be fearing about the second position and they will be fearing that they will turn into that bad Barcelona at the start of the season all over again. I do not think that they could handle something like that, it would really screw their minds.
2378  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - 🦉 DRAKE x STAKE 🥩 - Watford FC & UFC Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: April 29, 2022, 09:03:41 PM
-snip-
Is not always same.

Based on the recent activity, I also expect more money during my rank up from Platinum 1 to Platinum 2. Because I get a huge money during my Platinum one from Recent Game, Rank Up Reward & Claim. However, my platinum 2 has the same reward.

Since, recent game and waggering activity could be different.
It is basically the reward based on plenty of things that stake doesn't really say. They have a way of calculating it, and it is not a public information, we do not know exactly what matters. Your level matters, your recent betting matters, your wins and losses probably matters, I mean we could probably see the type of game you play could matter as well. No idea what matters the most but there must be some mix of all of these that come into play when they are calculating.

So, someone with a higher level could earn less than someone with a lower membership because of recent bets for example, that is still a possibility and that is why it is always unknown to us what we will get.
2379  Economy / Economics / Re: Does anyone care about the environment? on: April 29, 2022, 08:14:42 PM
That small protest goes viral, and many people now are already aware about the current situation and most probably this is a wake up call, so I think it can make waves but still its better to have a more crowd to wake up the government as well and do their action as early as possible, this should be addressed the right way.

Bitcoin investors are indeed into the profit only, they didn’t even care about the cost of the mining especially on the electricity simply because that’s a miner concerns and they are just buying and selling, that doesn’t effect the price of Bitcoin after all, at least not yet.
It can easily go viral because of the technology that we have now. I think this is also the reason why some parts of the US are said to undergo a btc mining ban. Why do you want more crowd and why do you want the government to make an action? Do you really want the ban to happen? You're supposed to support btc and not support the ban because you are here and you are taking the benefits of using a bitcoin. If that happens that btc mining is banned, it will affect btc.

I think it can make the network weaker and the news itself will cause for someone to worried which can lead them to sell their precious btc's.

@OP
No, not all the people care because if they do then they shouldn't do things that damages the environment.
2380  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Using Crypto profits on: April 29, 2022, 07:03:33 PM
Usually people earn more on cryptocurrency when cryptocurrency market rise.
But when cryptocurrency market falls people lose their interest to digital assets and sell their cryptocurrency.
There are many ways to earn crypto not only in the form of trading and investing but you can also earn a crypto in the forum by joining bounties, airdrops and signature campaigns. We also have gambling, staking and others where you can earn more cryptos no matter what is the status of the market, rise or not.

Not all will lose interest once the market falls because they know that fall in the price was only temporary but they will just wait for the market to recover again. Those who easily lose interest are likely new in this market and have invested in scam projects and maybe they have lost many times, so for them, that is enough to quit.
