Why second chance? Second chance is not for all. Only good posters with good net effects can be given second chances. If a shit poster plagiarized, no second chance. If a newbie plagiarized, no second chance I guess. Plagiarism is what gets people permabanned, not just copying. Plagiarism is copying with the intent of passing the work off as your own. In essentially all cases, plagiarism deserves a permaban because it usually proves definitively that the person is here for the wrong reasons: to fill up space in order to get paid, not to actually discuss or contribute. If someone was able to convince us that they were plagiarizing just to eg. impress people rather than to fill up space, then a lesser ban of a few months might instead be warranted. But this has never happened AFAICR. (Arguments based on plausible deniability aren't going to work; we don't need to prove that you had the motive we see in your actions.)
Second chance There's been no policy change. redsn0w wasn't permanently banned due to several factors which made me think that permabanning him would be a net negative for the forum. Nobody is banned strictly because of "the rules"; it's always handled case-by-case, but almost always, plagiarists deserve to be permabanned.
If you think that a ban should be ended, make your case in a new topic from a "good for the forum as a whole" perspective.

Once we start making exceptions for people it just opens up a huge can of worms and then everyone else who's had a ban will come out of the woodwork and complain it's not fair to them and people who are banned in the future will use this case as an example why they should be given another chance. PM theymos or cyrus and make your case to them and maybe they will remove it. I'm not against second chances but there needs to be some consistency so it's fair to all. Hopefully signature bans could be issued in cases like this instead and people can keep their accounts, but at the moment I just wish people would stop plagiarising content so these bans aren't even needed in the first place and it's truly a sad state of affairs that they are. |

I'm not so sure about this. Ramos is getting old he needs to be regenerated, but playing for one season again with some new substitutes would be even better. Ramos can pass on his experience to new players who will come. I realized that Madrid had to regenerate their old players. It's like barca but it has to be done, but I need a process and this is anceloti's job right now. I prefer young players who have good progress and will be useful in the long term.
In Real Madrid, Ramos is considered as a barrier for growth of young players. Oppositely, in another club, if he joins them, he will be considered as Thiago Silva in Chelsea or Ibrahimovic in AC Milan. Those young players in those clubs need old and experienced players like Silva, Ibrahimovic and Ramos. Like I said before, I am not saying Spurs is a bad team, I never claimed that, and you guys are acting as if I said Spurs is a bad team, you have named a few players that came out Spurs, which is good and all but that doesn't make you at the top tier neither. All I said was there are like maybe 5 or at most 10 teams at the top tier of all european teams, those are at a different level and I believe spurs is not there.
Spurs have good players but the general quality of their players is not at top levels. Some of them are at top levels include Harry Kane, Son Heung Min. I can not find other players in Spurs can have same level of Kane and Son. Bale is not their player and he has problems with his fitness. I would say that they are definitely in the top 20 of the european clubs but I wouldn't put them in top 5 at all, its a place where we have to talk about if top tier is top 5 or top 10 or top 20, if you say top 20 is top tier then you can put Spurs in there for now.
Spurs can not belong to the top 10 because they can not end their national league (Premier League) in top 2 or top 3. If considering the top 10 is best clubs from top national leagues in the Europe, they need to be in top 3 of their national leagues, and their leagues need to be tier 1 in the Europe. Spurs belong to the top 20 but that top does not make sense. They can not win titles, just try to join the Tier 1. Harry Kane feel disappointed because of no titles from his contributions. However Hhampuz shows that they have been "good" for 3 seasons, and that good is being top 16 and I know that, I still think eliminated at top 16 is not top tier, and they have done this recently, go back further and they are even worse. I just feel like I wouldn't put them in the same category as Barcelona, Madrid, City, Bayern, PSG and the likes.
