2361  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Is interest pledge trustworthy? on: August 10, 2022, 06:04:46 PM
I am a newbie, I would like to ask is it true that the revenue is 100%?
Good thing you are asking first rather than just going ahead to try, this forum is great place to ask these sort of questions, and it is great that you are taking advantage of the forum to that effect. You must have gotten both answers to the question you asked, you should never trust any venture that promises 100% return, whatever gives you a feeling of too good to be true is usually too good to be true do not second-guess it. I see you're definitely interested in owning some bitcoins of your own, it is a good plan but you must approach this plan patiently and with proper planning.
2362  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin cannot stop amazing me on: August 10, 2022, 05:25:15 PM
Why would people choose to invest in a currency that has been banned by the powerful central banks?
The answer is simple and it can all be traced back to lack of trust. Lack of trust in the central Banks choice to make the best and a good investment option for you that is truly beneficial and not influenced by government opinion.

Why would people still have confidence in a currency that has faced countless media wars by powerful nations, corporations and individuals depicting it as a bad investment?
There is more access to information now and people know better than to trust and just take anything the media or an individual says without finding out for themselves. Everyone has an opinion about bitcoins, some say it's bad so people say it's a good investment, I say for yourself you do your research and give it a try for investment purpose so you could have your own testimony and decide for yourself if it's a bad investment or good investment, and this is what many people are doing currently in Nigeria, finding out if truly it is a bad investment option as they want to paint it to be, or if it is all a lie.
2363  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria (Naija) on: August 09, 2022, 07:59:05 PM
The reason wey most Nigerian youths in their 20s dey think say they are not doing well financially na because of the standard Yahoo boys and runs girls don set. Useless unsustainable standard.
Stop to dey compare your life with another person own, you go dey alright...na comparison dey start competition.

Na d period you should be broke to build your future.
There is no where that it is stated that in your 20's you must be broke.

You be undergraduate, you already want to command Billions. No be juju be that?
Nor be any juju bro, Likewise there is no rule that being educated or a graduate is a requirement to become a millionaire or billionaire.

In your 20s or 30s, you shouldn't expect too much for yourself, financially.
If Nigeria economy is functioning properly, I'm certain you will hold a different perspective. The age range you just used is the proper age IMO to begin considering your financial life and make conscious efforts towards making it better for the later years where you may not have as many opportunities as you may get. There are many young millionaires and billionaires, you don't need to be old before you are financially comfortable.

Understand that life is not a competition but a journey of self development and improvement all round, focus on your life...dey happy for others when e dey good for them, make e for still good for you, avoid bad jealousy, e dey delay blessing.

Manchester United needs more time to stabilize the team.
It doesn't look like the Manchester United problem is ending anytime soon, there are strong indications that the supporters are not happy about the club's owners "The Glazers" and how they have put the club in more debt which many believe is the reason the new coach couldn't go all out in the transfer window, a probable cause for their disappointing start to the season. They are fed up and demanding they sell the club to new owners. Supporters are planning not to enter the stadium but stay outside in their next game against Liverpool to send a message to the owners just like Valencia did.

It seems they already expect a loss in that game, the Manchester United players will be un-inspired playing in their home without no home supporter sitted to cheer them up.

2365  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Myths that we often hear on: August 09, 2022, 06:39:11 PM
I think some of the former facts are now considered as myths because of change, take for instance considering this statement now said to be a myth,
Myth 10: Teens Don’t Gamble, Only Older People Gamble
we can all agree that formerly this statement could be said to be true as the economic situation of things were better and teens/younger people had no reason to be all out in search of ways to get money desperately, so you generally found more older persons majorly in the gambling houses.

Likewise considering that online gambling just became a thing which has giving access to people to gamble at their privacy from home without exposure to the public has made it possible for younger people to gamble without knowledge of the public, if gambling has still remained completely offline where people still need to visit gambling houses to place bets and gamble, I am certain that even teens that consider to try out gambling will be afraid and discouraged to do so considering that they know they are young and may be scolded if they are found in the gambling houses by the elderly.
2366  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Significance of uppercase or lowercase “B” in Bitcoin. on: August 09, 2022, 05:03:28 PM
I don't think there is any current laid own rule concerning Bitcoin capitalization (I might be wrong). For me just as other currencies enjoy capitalization in sentences, I always capitalize the word Bitcoin regardless of its connotation or meaning in the sentence.
Do as you wish, no one will penalize you for it, but the knowledge of this cannot just be overlooked considering that knowing in details is better and what differentiates you that is a member of a forum that centers on bitcoin from someone who just knows about bitcoin. Thank you for highlighting this detail OP, it is an added knowledge that will assist us better in our writing.
2367  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why I love Bitcoin and bitcointalk on: August 09, 2022, 02:42:22 PM
I don't need to know anyone or work with a group before getting whatever guidance and correction I need to guide my decision,
Just like any other forum you come across, it is basically an environment with free flow of knowledge where users exchange ideas, views and perspective on topics without concern about the identity of other people there and no need to have a personal relationship with someone before you can benefit from their knowledge. Bitcointalk happens to be one of such forums that centers majorly on bitcoin first before other discussions.

You also have to be careful of users opinions here that you consider to shape your personal decisions, because still though it is a forum, not all the advice/opinions you get here is correct, you also owe it to yourself to DYOR.
2368  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Coinbase And BlackRock Deal Send Bitcoin To $773,000? on: August 08, 2022, 09:06:51 PM
$773,000? or $73,000?  Huh

Do you think this coinbase and blackrock deal gonna have an effect in the market?
It may have an effect, but not so much that it sends the price back up suddenly. BTC price will definitely get back up, but it will take and require a series of positive events like this for this to become a reality and not just one news. As btc hodlers, we continue to remain optimistic about the price of btc and it is in our expectations that the price gets back up shortly.
2369  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Could Bitcoin's recent decline lead to the start of mining disasters? on: August 08, 2022, 08:50:47 PM
Bitcoin is down 189 today, shall I try to buy the miner?
To become a miner is a decision to make that should not be affected by the fluctuating price of bitcoins. One btc still remains One btc, and that is what you should be your overall motivation. If you plan to buy a miner, go ahead and do so, btc will not continue to decline even if the situation currently looks as though there is no end. I believe that if you have an interest in mining and you have settled and put under control the other factors necessary for successful mining, go ahead without consideration of the decline.
2370  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 08, 2022, 07:10:55 PM
I think Liverpool should be willing to let Roberto Firmino go.
The Liverpool coach is just holding on to him and starting him in the games out of respect but for me Roberto firmino has seen his better days. lf he decides to stay or Liverpool decides to keep him at anfield soon enough he will become a substitute for Nunez who is a striker more in form and hungry to perform in the premier League.

Can someone please explain what this means??

Manchester United agree fee for Adrien Rabiot but face task of negotiating with his mother
They desperately need this deal as their midfield was lacking in their first game this season in the premier League, I am optimistic that they will find a way to come to terms with his mother.
2371  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What can we do against Blockchain fraudsters? on: August 08, 2022, 02:04:14 PM
Blockchain fraudsters can't be easily tracked...
As a result of this, you can notice that the number of fraudsters taking advantage of the blockchain space is increasing daily. The probability of one out of ten individuals you meet online being fraudsters has now increased from that to like six out of ten individuals you meet online being potential fraudsters.

...the best thing we can do is to not fall for their bad motives.
and this can be achieved by never letting your guard down and not easily trusting someone that you meet online regardless of whatever title they may have or any occupation they claim to be involved involved in, especially those that are crypto related.
2372  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [COMMONWEALTH GAMES] - BIRMINGHAM 2022 on: August 08, 2022, 11:21:13 AM
I wonder why the commonwealth games is not getting as much attention as it should here particularly since some of the countries present in the games have citizens who also members of this forum.

I am proud of Nigeria's performance so far in the games, surpassing our former record of eleven gold medals with now twelve gold medals.

Nigeria Gold Medal List

I believe probably dressing smart may not totally secure you from the harassment but puts you at a better position.
If you stay in an environment where people go to work from say 8am - 4pm, and you don't, unto say na 24/7 you dey dey forum dey package, my best advice for you na to blend in and stay low-key.

Stay low-key unto say make you nor go come dey run some kind immature doings and lifestyle for your neighborhood make eye nor dey your body because people sabi talk well well and all those plenty talk nai fit carry your matter enter ear of people wey be informants for EFCC abi na SARS.

Blend in unto say dey act the way people for the area dey do, on weekdays during working hours when people dun go work, try dey stay inside house, nor dey waka anyhow...make people nor notice say you nor deh follow do 8am-4pm.

Erik ten Hag has not been fully able to control the players as ideal as expected.
If he didn't know the level of challenge he will have to face, The coach of Manchester United Erik has just gotten a clear introduction of what he has in front of him in the premier league where every team is looking to outplay the other. The midfield of Manchester United is looking absent in this game and the defenders have made several mistakes that Brighton has punished them for. Ronaldo was warming up before the second half, let's see if his introduction in the game will have any effect in the second 45mins.
2376  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do Online Gambling Streamers Ever Get Addicted to Gambling? on: August 07, 2022, 12:44:24 PM
I can't help but wonder if online gambling streamers ever get addicted to gambling. What do you think?
When it comes to addiction, IMO, I think it all depends on the personality of the person in question. If the online gambling streamer is someone who has a personality that is susceptible to addictions he may easily get addicted to gambling even without much engagements, but for someone that doesn't get easily attached or addicted to things, they are still at the danger of addiction but it may take longer exposure and engagements to their online gambling streaming activities.

And can the viewers who watch these streams tell if the streamer is addicted to gambling by observing some physical symptoms such as pale skin, weight gain/loss, acne and dark circles under the eyes?2
Viewers who are very observant and have been addicted before or know someone closely who was addicted and showed some similar physical symptoms can tell.
2377  Economy / Economics / Re: What crisis what food crisis ? on: August 06, 2022, 11:59:01 PM
Wherr is the crisis and where is the food shortages??
You may not yet be experiencing it, but it doesn't make it any less a reality to some others in other location and the fact that you are not experiencing it doesn't mean it hasn't started and won't get to you. When people complain about food crisis, you should get worried because it is a ripple effect and if people are experiencing shortages and your location has supply still, it  means your supply will soon be under pressure and it is under the danger of shortage.
2378  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: August 06, 2022, 10:05:10 PM
Newcastle managed to show their strength to a team that had just been promoted and I think with the current squad it will be quite promising for newcastle to be in the top 10...
Newcastle United has great prospects this season but I feel that this first game although the won is not enough for us to rate them just yet. They had the home advantage against a team that just returned to the Premier League after more than two decades. I am of the opinion that Nottingham forest would have been more motivated to put up a better performance and score at least a goal had they played in front of their home crowd. I am very optimistic about Nottingham forest this season, I like to see how well they will perform.
2379  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Looking for best casino on: August 06, 2022, 08:26:38 PM
I also wanna know the which Cryptocurrency based casino is best for me ? Because I saw lots of casino here .
Welcome, it's a good thing you are doing your research before choosing an online casino to use their services, many people make the mistake of not acting like you have and they learn bitter lessons which tarnishes the image of other credible online casinos. There are many credible casino's here with very transparent service.
Personally I will suggest these casino these are well reputable and cheap in min withdrawal and fees and also supports alt-coins-
  • Stake
  • Betplay
  • BlackJack.Fun
  • Cloudbet
  • ROLLBIT
This List cannot be complete without Livecasino.io. I endorse them not just because I promote them, but because I play on their casino and have won a couple of times, their payout to your wallet is very fast as well.
2380  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: August 06, 2022, 02:06:33 PM
It is a big disappointment by Liverpool. I was very confident about them to defeat Fulham truthfully but they couldn't.
The premier League is full of surprises, that is what keeps it exciting...all the teams big or small play to win regardless of who they meet, they show no respect, and if care is not taken by a big team, they can suddenly find themselves losing three points. Liverpool were lucky to have even gotten a point. Klopp is still trying to respect Firminho else i don't see any reason why he is starting as their striker when Nunez is clearly hungry to make his mark in every game. It may be too early to say, but i think Liverpool against Fulham did not look like a team that can win the premier League this season.
