2361  Economy / Gambling / Re: around 1.6 billion people worldwide gamble, What about a poker gamefi?? on: June 27, 2022, 07:17:44 PM
I don't know that poker is loved like this in online casinos, but I believe it is a regional game.
Wrong. Poker is played globally by players from around the world which is why it's one of the most popular skill-based gambling games out there.

When I mentioned regional, I was referring to my place of origin instead of an individual. You can conduct a poll for countries favourites gambling games to see which games people like in a casino, you will know that everyone has a favourite, the sportsbook is the first that dominates my place because:

1. It is extremely profitable and generates quick revenue for gambling start-ups as well as the government.
2. People do this for fun and entertainment, you can't separate sports betting from passion and fun.

However, this doesn't mean poker isn't played online from my region since it is online, they are all love but sportsbook is the most dominant here.
2362  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin Casinos Vs Ethereum Casinos on: June 27, 2022, 06:52:22 PM
After reading this article, I thought about starting to use an Ethereum Casinos. What do you think about this?
https://cryptogeek.info/en/blog/btc-eth-casinos
P.S. There is no casino advertising in the article.

There is a restriction on Ethereum when it comes to composability, you can't do much with Ethereum gambling and the Dapps as the writer has spilt out. The availability of smart contracts has openly given a wider environment for everyone to build but the speed cannot handle these codes, it is not fast to execute these instructions in mili seconds. I get the writer point with some of the options like implementing Dapps for people but if Ethereum doesn't transition from proof of work to proof of stake, it will be hard to enjoy gambling on Ethereum chain, it is better to use Bitcoin or you can deposit your ETH if you like the chain on any of your favourite crypto casino.

.... A tad long, to be honest. Is there another way to quicken things up a bit?

It's running on an 11th gen i7 with 16GB RAM and a 1000 mbps internet connection.

//Jaggen

Your machine is good generation that would finish downloading all the blocks within  2-3 days.
Probably that 1000 mbps internet connection isn't downloading at that rate, check your internet connection or try it on another device to see if the speed is exactly what you stated.

2365  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Any changes experienced within body - Gambling??? on: June 25, 2022, 03:35:35 PM
I remember last last time, I feel like I really want to vomit, my head is spinning and I really can't think well. All I knew was I need to get back what I lost, I always sleep late at night searching for some tricks and strategy, I am really happy that I encounter this thing in my life. It serves as a lesson to me that I need to take care of myself , my physical and my mental being.

What? Has really got to this step before? I would have quit and when I said stop, I mean completely, there is nothing in this life that worth more than life with good health. Gambling money can make anyone but not at the expense of life, the last time I experience such changes in me was when I gamble with the money (last card on me) I was supposed to use for the week when I travel to another state, I wanted to make something out of it to gain more on a sportsbook but turn out that I lost all, it was small though but at that moment, it was really big for me.

This is starting to appear like a paramilitary forum, which will be difficult for other members who aren't proficient in English and don't have a local board to communicate fluently. Also, we have several types of English, such as British America, Australia, and the US, how do you think the forum will manage this, or will the site reject my post because my official language is British? This is a waste of time that will never happen, and you are increasing the load on the forum and the speed by adding this feature.
The Mods are here for a reason, if you see a shit post, report it and any of them will look into it when they check.
2367  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does bitcoin dump have any impact on gamblers ? on: June 24, 2022, 09:01:27 PM
That's the advantage for us as crypto gamblers who have lots of coins to gamble and don't depend on BTC so if we feel not good for using BTC, we can use altcoins. I also often use altcoins like TRX, LTC, and ETH, especially if the price of BTC goes down because that means I have to use more BTC for a minimal deposit at the casino. But I also often stop gambling for a while when the BTC price drops because that's better for me.

This sound unreasonable, how do you think altcoins will be when bitcoin slumps downward? They all depend on bitcoin to survive, they are even worse when it comes to volatility anytime the market shrink, you can't preserve a value with altcoins and looking at Ethereum for deposit isn't palatable due to its nature of the gas fee.
If you are gambling in a casino that pays out winnings in BTC, this is the right moment to get an opportunity for accumulating more bitcoin, by the time we make a new bull run, you will enjoy two double profits.
2368  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Session That Lingers On Or Keep Staying On your Mind on: June 24, 2022, 08:21:33 PM
That is why we must be able to control ourselves when playing gambling because many victims have suffered big losses in gambling. We always want to keep playing, thinking we can win a large amount of money. We can win it someday but if we count the money we have or will spend, is it worth the time we spend gambling and can we still control ourselves in gambling? That is a big question mark that we must answer ourselves.

There is limit to everything and no gambler should ever play more than they can afford to lose but think of it as gmabler, if you are playing to win and thinking that all possibilities are going to be in your favour, isn't should be expectancy of a gambler to also be making preparation for loss, its either you win or loss but we are always centred on winings and that's why some players always put more than they can afford to loose and then at the end of the the day put themselves in a tight spot that may make them feel uncomfortable.
2369  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you trust a gambler with your money/savings? on: June 24, 2022, 07:10:35 PM
If I recall very well, I have seen a similar thread on this board but it was in a different context, that one was asking opinions on if you would employ a gambler in an accounting department in a company, I think there are some common messages between the two.
I wouldn't allow a gambler to come close to my business talk more of trusting him with any, we are friends and I'm cool with it and any other activities can join us together but not with business because a time will come when he may feel the heat and will divert my money to ease his loss which he may not likely win back and my business will suffer for his wrong moves.
2370  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is it so hard to win at gambling? on: June 24, 2022, 06:53:48 PM
The main reason why is hard to win in gambling is greed, most people prefer using just little amount to win hug amount which the chances of you winning is very low, some people will want to gamble with just $10 and they will want to win $500 which makes it hard to win, but if you gamble $10 and expect to win $20 that's kind of reasonable and the chances of winning is kind of high. Also some people will always be happy whenever they are gambling which they will want to win more, they don't really know when they should stop which at the end they will endup losing all the money they have win. So in gambling we shouldn't be greedy and we should always know when to stop.

The reason for the difficulty, as you stated, is not the case, there are some casinos that allow a minimum deposit of $10, and with that amount, you can wager it on any slot with a reasonable multiplier and get a huge return, the return depends on the multiplier you choose, for example, if you choose 10x, you should get back $100, and if there is a bonus, that is a plus. However, when a gambler who wishes to use $10 on a 100x multiplier is greedy, you don't make container money out of thin air, it doesn't work that way. Some casinos don't even allow up to that kind of multiplier so that players don't make them go bankrupt.
2371  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Top Cryptocurrency Scams To Be Avoided By Beginners on: June 23, 2022, 09:27:24 PM
Your topic should have been general scams every newbie should avoid, not necessary top. Scams is scam, it doesn't have a measurement or range because money is subjective to people, what you consider small may be another person total assets both online and offline.
The thing is that, scams are everywhere and you can't stop it as long as there is finance in such place, the only thing we can do is to continue to warn people especially the newbies to take caution and warnings about these things, malware and Spyware for example is something everyone should take serious both newbies and high rank members.
2372  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Wallet found has been lost on: June 23, 2022, 02:57:01 PM
Check the wallet address on an explorer if the UTXO has been spent or not. If you can see the bitcoin on the explorer, you should check your Bitcoin core if it's properly sync to current block and up to date.
2373  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: I lost my trust wallet! Pay reward! on: June 23, 2022, 02:38:14 PM
My main account is only 0.6 btc. My second account that held the other bitcoins. I tried using FinderOuter, but I can't remember any words. But I have the bitcoin shipping key for the account. Is there nothing I can do about it? I lost my laptop in the robbery, so I lost the words.

As advised above, if you have backed up the 12 words for the primary account, you should import it on a new device and transfer that balance to a new cold storage wallet ASAP. However, the chance of getting back that second account is slim, don't waste your time with online scammers that may want to help you unless you have wallet.dat which in this case you don't and that also require brute force.
2374  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: I lost my trust wallet! Pay reward! on: June 23, 2022, 02:15:28 PM
Hello, my name is Aécio. I am from Brazil. My cell phone was stolen this week. I need some help. I have Bitcoins stored in my Trust Wallet. The person who stole it couldn't access it, because he didn't have my touch id. But, I had it in addition to the main account, which I left empty so that if someone stole my phone, they would think there was nothing there.
However, I only remember the 12 words of the main account. Of my other wallets, I lost, because along with the cell phone, my laptop was stolen. On my account statement, it has the transactions I made for my accounts. I wonder if we can recover my account through the bitcoin remittance keys. I have 17 bitcoins.

Anyone help me?

You have more than one account on trust wallet and but you only backup the recovery words that was empty, what kind of bad security idea did you follow. You have up to 17 bitcoin but you couldn't afford to get a hardware wallet, this is bad news and sad news for you because you cant have access to your bitcoins again except you have the recovery phrase where your bitcoin was received on its address.

This is the message from Trust wallet when generating new recovery words, always take caution serious when you see one on your screen.
2375  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Full RBF on: June 23, 2022, 08:56:06 AM
I'm also curious as to what is going to happen when (for example) 50% of nodes have enabled full RBF, 50% of nodes have not enabled full RBF, and I try to replace a transaction which is opted out of RBF. What about if I'm using a hot wallet and not my own node? Will I have to connect to different servers to find one which will relay my replacement transaction?

It is likely that most nodes will implement the Full RBF and here are my reasons:
The mining Nodes will benefit in this aspect because having transaction default with Full RBF allows signers to boost transactions with more fees whenever the mempool becomes congested making them earn more sats from transactions fees.
There is also a high chance that other SPV wallets will follow the adoption just to keep their customers in the circle so that they don't move to other hots wallets that run their own nodes with full RBF feature for users but how soon I can't say.

Quote
And then presumably some block explorers will show the original transaction while some will show the replacement, and I'll have no idea which one will actually get mined until one of them is mined?

If a transaction has been flagged as RBF by a node, does block explorer has the ability to exclude it from transaction details? If the node you are connected has an RBF enable, that shouldn't be a problem with any explorer or is there going to be a change in RBF when nodes relay transactions within the network?
2376  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you bet on transgender only events? on: June 22, 2022, 10:20:26 PM
This remind of the message Qatar president spread around to warn LGBT and other sexually abuse kind of people who are coming to watch FIFA in coming months to adhere to rules and regulations of the country. I don't think some countries will buy this idea and I even doubt if the investors will want to pour some millions of dollars in sponsoring this kind of games.
It's cool for those who don't see anything bad in it but personally, I wouldn't and never put my money in these kind of events, it doesn't align with my believe and same will go for plenty of people.
2377  Economy / Gambling / Re: risk of kyc on crypto casinos ? on: June 22, 2022, 09:54:55 PM
I am not 100% sure, but difference between gambling and exchanges lies in licenses. From bookkeeping position, any huge amount can not be put in "other short term liabilities" or into similar "other assets". Any auditor will ask for a detailed decoding of that, detailed info of creditors. They cant put just "user12345" or "Cookdata" there. I know that casinos use KYC to put on pause withdrawal or even to cheat a gambler. Passing KYC there is stupid. But passing KYC in a reputed casino is something that looks ok to me, but I will try to avoid doing that at any cost.

I'm not sure what you mean about other short term liabilities but I know very well the difference between exchange and gambling. However, they all have to do with financing and thus, regulations will always want to know every details of what happened behind the scenes.
We have exchanges that are globally experience, well known but doesn't request for KYC and allow inflow and outflow of money without request of any kind of documents though it's limited, why can't some casino build the same thing. There should be freedom to gamble, not as if physical gambling house do request for information before they allow people to play, as long as you win, you will get paid with out foul play.
2378  Economy / Gambling / Re: Which crypto sportbooks are VPN friendly on: June 22, 2022, 08:00:54 PM
I hope you know the implications of making your ways around vpn on gambling mediums, it's is good for privacy but you should look around every footer of casino platforms for terms and conditions before you make any deposit or have it in mind to play. If you mistakenly forget to put on your vpn and login on any of them, just know that is the beginning of 1000 ways of losing your hard earned money to house, they wouldn't allow you to withdraw until provide extra documents which of course you may not have.
2379  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Looking to buy my first hardware wallet on: June 22, 2022, 03:34:51 PM
You are actually wrong. Trezor do not have secure element and because of that, it makes such attack easily possible. But the use of passphrase would be helpful to avoid the attack as explained above..

Charles-Tim, you are right!
I have just checked the thread by dkbit98 on how careless Trezor was with their securing element chip, my reason wasn't not enough to justify that you are wrong by cutting out trezor as hardware wallet after all that risk they might have made customers to undergo with out passphrase. I can't just imagine what will happen to anyone using their hardware to generateseed phrase with passphrase.
I hope you continue to correct my wrong comments in the future. Thank you.
2380  Economy / Gambling / Re: I miss the old OnChain gambling on: June 22, 2022, 10:19:28 AM
Those were the days and I've seen one before that no registration is needed and you just send your bet to the given address per user/guest that visits them.

Well, we have to embrace the changes as before the authorities don't look at crypto gambling as a legit thing and it looks like a game to them. Now that money talks and the value and worth of the entire market is huge, they now have to make rules that they'll have to require the casinos for their customers to follow kyc.

If we should go by the year, bitcoin price would be less than $1k, winning 100btc wouldn't be a problem since it hasn't get the attention of the regulatory bodies and mass adoption. Many didn't see bitcoin as big thing then and free market money wasn't there too but since the emergence of AML schemes, they began Crack down of different payment medium that has to do with crypto payment making a mandatory kyc for all. Some Companies that weren't ready for that close down and new people comes in to the market and change the system.
Since we still some casinos who play without kyc, then there shouldn't be a problem at all.
