2361  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you trust to bitcoin casinos? on: June 04, 2016, 07:10:55 AM
Do you really trust online bitcoin casinos you play at?

I think all lost in casino, except the owner.

Just make sure that the site is provably fair, and it has a good reputation, before you gamble. You should be alright after that. There are lots of scams around though, so don't deposit what you cannot lose.

And yeah, the house edge means that the casino will always win in the long run. Although you can win in the short run.
2362  Other / Off-topic / Re: What will you do if you own 21 BTC? on: June 04, 2016, 07:08:31 AM
It was my little dream to own 21 BTC and today i achieved it after hard work of so long time. Now i want to make my hard work pay me.I mean,i want that these bitcoins work for me someway and grow.Is there bitcoin bank that pays interest? What will you do with 21 BTC? How will you spend it? How will you grow it? Share anything you want that may help me to decide what should i do. Smiley

I would hold it in cold storage safely for an indefinite period of time because I believe that bitcoin is a good store of value, just as precious metals are right now. Bitcoin can serve a role as the "virtual gold".

Earning 21 bitcoins right now shouldn't be that hard. It's pretty simple actually if you have a job. Just save on your expenses and you should get there within 1 year.
2363  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will you quit your day job to go full time on bitcoin? on: June 04, 2016, 07:05:43 AM
Are you inspired by those bitcoin millionaires? Are you thinking of filing a resignation letter on your day job (if you have any) and focus on bitcoin instead?

Me? I do have a day job and I consider bitcoin as my side job. I don't want to lose that another source of income just because bitcoin is awesome.

I don't think there are enough opportunities in the bitcoin world to make it work. Also there is no job security nor income security that you can get from working for a bitcoin startup. While currently a day job covers majority of that.

There are also already a ton of competition within bitcoin. So no, I would not consider right now to go for a bitcoin job.
2364  Economy / Speculation / Re: 10 BTC. Will I be a millionaire by 2030? on: June 04, 2016, 07:04:59 AM
100 BTC? 0.00000001 BTC? Nah... extremes are not for me.

What do you guys think?

Definitely sir. By 2030, bitcoin prices will not even matter anymore. The currency will be so inflated that no one will use it anymore, and everyone will switch to the infinitely better alternative - bitcoin.

1 Satoshi for a million dollars is also possible, but if that happens, there is seriously no point for measuring anything in fiat currency.
2365  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Exchange best for you on: June 04, 2016, 07:04:28 AM

Hello If you develop the exchange that you have added the new which is not yet at other exchanges or that have changed in other exchanges.
What exchange you prefer and why?
The best way to enroll in the balance?
Anonymity, the Commission and other

I prefer poloniex and yobit because they are completely anonymous. There is also Bittrex and perhaps C-cex, which all adds some variety to the altcoin market. I think there are probably most coins at c-cex and yobit.

However if you're talking about exchanging fiat for BTC, localbitcoins because it's also anonymous and has an escrow system. The traders usually release funds very quickly as well.
2366  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: who was a member on Mtgox? on: June 04, 2016, 07:03:12 AM
Let's start this thread and have some fun figuring out who here was a member on their site  Cheesy

I'm not a customer of Mt Gox myself, which is very fortunate of me. I only use Localbitcoins to buy my bitcoins, and occasionally some other major exchanges. But I never used Mt Gox.

I feel sorry for all who have lost their savings at Mt Gox. It's really a tragedy to bitcoin. And so is cryptsy. The lesson learned is that never keep your coins for a long period of time on an exchange.
2367  Economy / Economics / Re: I have 12 BTC in my Account, How should I invest this?? on: June 04, 2016, 06:52:36 AM
Advice, tips, speculation please.

I suggest you keep that 12 BTC safe somewhere. Put it in a hardware storage wallet, or a paper wallet. Physical coins even. Anywhere that you feel like your coins are safe and you can soundly sleep at night. I believe investing in bitcoin itself is the best investment you can make.

If you don't control the private key, you don't control the coins. That's a lesson I've learned.
2368  Economy / Economics / Re: Why You Should Never Sell Your Bitcoins Ever on: June 04, 2016, 06:51:47 AM
Definitely. Bitcoins are a good store of value in my opinion and we should save bitcoins for the future, instead of being narrow minded and selling it when it rises by just $10. That's literally nothing to profit from.

Only sell when you really need the quick cash, or there is something that will return more than bitcoins will give you.
2369  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are you buying bitcoins? Why? on: June 04, 2016, 06:51:32 AM
Why buy now? Bitcoin is going up up up...trade your alts for maximum profit, selling for bitcoin. Get your BTC that way Wink

I think bitcoin has not reached its maximum potential yet. We are a long way off that. I don't even think that we are close to the maximum potential of bitcoin. Bitcoin can be used for so many purposes... We haven't explored them all yet.

I'm buying bitcoins for the future price rises. I think bitcoin is going to rise for years to come.
2370  Economy / Economics / Re: If bitcoin price is $10.000, will fiat be worthless? on: June 04, 2016, 06:49:22 AM
In one of the topics I read "If bitcoin will reach $10.000, fiat currency has become worthless"
Do you agree with this statement?

I disagree with this agreement because I believe that a bitcoin's value should be a lot more than the current level, and way more than $10,000 a coin, even. And that is before inflation USD.

While fiat currencies do depreciate over time, and bitcoin will retain its value, i just believe that bitcoin is extremely undervalued still.
2371  Economy / Economics / Re: help with banking on: June 04, 2016, 06:36:20 AM
Hi all,

so I have around 3 bitcoins in hashnet and was going to transfer this to my coinbase account, but have read a few negative remarks about them here, just wanted those who know opinion on them are they safe ?. going to buy a lot more coins over the coming years and really want to not worry about them till the time comes to use them.

thanks guys I know many questions are on these matters but for newbies I need to know long term its safe.

Well, if you don't control the private key, you don't own the coins. It's simple as that.

Coinbase has a pretty good reputation as an online wallet, but anything can happen to a company. Like cryptsy, they can close down and pull off a runner any time. Because you don't have access to your private key, you lose all your bitcoins. I suggest you use a cold storage facility to store large amounts of coins instead.
2372  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ALL IN!!?? on: June 04, 2016, 06:33:30 AM
Ever go all in  Shocked  and have a positive result?

Definitely. I accidentally bet around 0.03 BTC on 5% all in, when I was actually supposed to type 95% instead. Somehow, the roll hit, and I profited like 0.5+ BTC from that bet. That was awesome.

But seriously, most of the time you lose instead of win. That's why the casinos are winning so much instead of you.
2373  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is gambling so addicting? on: June 04, 2016, 06:32:21 AM
Why is gambling so addicting?

Simple ans is to get quick and instant money
but there are many others who play for fun

Definitely. Getting simple, quick cash is very an alluring aspect of gambling. Gambling does wonders to your brain... The thrill of gambling is just amazing. You are literally on the edge of your seat, your butt is all clenched up...

And you press roll, and you lose. Gambling is addicting because it's thrilling and stressful. But at the same time, you have the potential to get quick cash.
2374  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Which Wallet Do you Use ??? on: June 04, 2016, 06:30:03 AM
Just out of curiosity, I would like to know which  BTC Wallet is the Most used.

I prefer to use blockchain.info because it's a trusted wallet that has been around for years. It is probably one of the earliest online wallets I've used as well, from memory.
It is pretty simple to use, especially with signing messages, importing and exporting.

You also get access to your own private keys, which is always good. Others like coinbase doesn't offer that option.
2375  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How greedy you are ? on: June 04, 2016, 06:26:51 AM
I think greed is one of the biggest killers in gambling. I usually have the feeling that I'm extra lucky today, so I go all in and I lose, when I really shouldn't be doing that and I can't afford to lose.

I think I'm pretty greedy, and I should definitely fix that attitude.
2376  Other / Off-topic / Re: Getting My First Whole Bitcoin? on: June 04, 2016, 05:44:06 AM
Well, getting a whole bitcoin is actually pretty easy in my opinion. As long as you can be patient and have lots of time to invest into getting the bitcoin, you should definitely get it.

One lesson I have learned - never gamble what you can't afford to lose. Rage betting has been a problem with me.
2377  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I never spent any savings on Bitcoin and I'm not broke on: June 04, 2016, 05:40:50 AM
If I had invested my savings in Bitcoin would it be more likely to be broke? Cheesy

Not really. Fiat currencies loses value over time and that's really really bad in my opinion. I'm sure you wouldn't be happy if you wake up one day and all there's left is 50% of your original wealth.

While bitcoin is exactly the opposite. It retains value over time. So no, you would actually get more from bitcoin than you would from fiat currencies.
2378  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you holding your bitcoin for a price increase? on: June 04, 2016, 05:37:42 AM
Yeah, definitely. I think we're going on a ride right now. Bitcoin prices are going wild, and I expect this to continue in the very long term future. The price cannot stay cheap forever.

I bought a lot in at $400 and now I'm already in the green. But I think I can at least expect double in the next few months Smiley
2379  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin Gambling is Exploding on: June 04, 2016, 05:33:11 AM
It's definitely exploding, because bitcoin is so simple to use wherever you are in the world. Bitcoin has many advantages over conventional fiat casinos, and a big one is the lack of government control.

The process of joining an online casino with fiat currency is very difficult, but with bitcoin, it's simple.
2380  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is your plan to get rich with Bitcoin? on: June 03, 2016, 11:02:03 AM
I believe that bitcoin has a very long future in front of it, so I personally would like to hold as much bitcoins as possible from right now. Holding bitcoins in my opinion is one of the best and most efficient ways of earning value, as bitcoin not only retains value over time, it also probably gives you a decent profit as it increases in its value.

Investing is simply too risky for me. I have never been a fan for risk. Especially with bitcoin, where there are so many ponzi schemes and scams out there. Simply not secure enough for me to be able to safely invest.
