I really don't understand how Belgium is always the 1st team in the ranking with the low-mid results they have, is a mystery.
Anyway, good victory for them.

Superb Spain and disaster from Germany again after 2018.

Waiting to see the game for Brazil but at the moment it seems Spain and France in a very strong shape.
I thought they weren't anymore in the first place.. There is a ranking system that put them first. I would say the first to leave in the next stage once they pass the group stage.
BTW Germany did a great job losing vs Japan. Such defeat made this version of World Cup very weird, even Japanese didn't believe they won it.
2362  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion Thread || Current discussion: African teams at Qatar. on: November 23, 2022, 11:32:58 PM
So far for African teams we have:
2 draws: Tunisia and Morocco
1 defeat: Senegal
Tomorrow we have Ghana and Cameroon matches that will be interesting Portugal and Switzerland respectively.
Basically all games in the first round for African teams were hard but they did good overall standing in front of powerful teams. Senegal lost its game but they could do better, hopefully they will learn from their mistakes for the next matches.

Congratulation to France for the massive victory they got from Australia at the end of the match.
Congratulations to France and England for being the only European teams to get good results. Netherlands won too but with difficulty. The other teams got a draw and surprise surprise, Germany lost vs Japan with 2 goals to 1!! Teams and fans are speechless Lips sealed
Spain and Belgium next, hopefully they will not continue bad results Roll Eyes

Germany 1 - 2 Japan
I don't know what's going on with the "favourite teams" in this version of World Cup but it is weird to see such poor performance and creativity against what supposed to be weaker opponents. These underdog teams are exciting and insist to fight and pass to the next level! Much respect.
Few minutes left on that game and Japan is still trying to push and score. The German defence is making silly mistakes sometimes.

I can say that this match belongs to Mexico they can control the game at least better than Poland it's just that luck wasn't on Mexico side
And about Lewandowski we can conclude that he is no longer a mainstay because of his age and maybe this is his last match with Poland.
I saw a part of that game and I saw a Mexican dominance while Poland was playing defence too much. Lewandowski missed a penalty and wasn't able to score a single goal for Poland for many games which draws many criticism but that doesn't mean that his days are over imo.
For Australia now, after a good start, they were crashed badly by France by 4 goals. Australia chances to stay became very low tho.
2366  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: November 22, 2022, 07:38:58 PM
Today was a day of surprises. First Argentina lost to Saudi Arabia, then Denmark drew with Tunisia, but there were fewer surprises here. Now France are playing a draw with Australia for now. But I think France have a chance of success in this match.
The amount of surprises in today's games is beyond everyone expectations. I am just wondering if there is someone that placed a bet on Saudi Arabia to win against Argentina. How many expected Tunisia to get a draw vs Denmark?
Poland to draw against Mexico is ok but France to receive an early goal and lose a defender in the first minutes of the game was hilarious. They recovered from that mistake and they are leading 2-1 right now. Australia should focus and try to get a draw at least.

Last few hour ago Manchester United and Cristiano Ronaldo have released on mutual agreement cut off contract early before over on June 2023, right now Cristiano Ronaldo become free agent and his chance moving to the team participants at Champion League could be easy. Ronaldo have great reputation right now and bring positive impact based on he has many fans around the world, I think new team reach agreement to sign Ronaldo have potential with T-Shirt sold out and home ticket easy for selling.

For new team maybe Ronaldo will announce after World Cup because he want fully focus with national team and could be last time opportunity for him playing on World Cup.
Came here to report that since I just read it. It was an expected move after all. ManU is pissed from CR7 attitude, his dropped performance and of course his latest speech about the club and the coach. It is whether not playing a single game under Ten Hag and keep giving him money for free or get ride of him since he will leave the club after all by the end of the season.
It is just a bad way to get out of the club that he owes it much..

There is many surprises in this World Cup. I have the feeling that European teams dropped slightly in performance comparing to less favourites teams or we are underestimating them.
No need to talk about Argentina surprising defeat or Wales hard draw.. Denmark is also having hard times. There is Poland and France that will have games today, we will see how they could perform.
2369  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion Thread || Current discussion: African teams at Qatar. on: November 22, 2022, 02:33:29 PM
I feel like Senegal missed a great chance to beat Netherlands. I think they probably felt missing of Mane. But their overall team looks solid enough to go next round. I believe they mainly have issues with goalkeeper and defensive strategy. Although they may compete well enough with Ecuador. Qatar is definitely no match for them. Waiting for other African teams to play to assess them myself.
What do you think about Tunisia? I am surprised about their performance today. Hopefully they can win. BTW there is a doubt about penalty for Tunisia but it was cancelled by VAR although it is an obvious hand.
For Senegal there is still chance for them to qualify, they need to win the remaining 2 games.

The German media Sky Sport News reports that Dortmund striker Youssoufa Moukoko won't move to FC Bayern anytime soon. After a World Cup press conference with Bayern goalkeeper Manuel Neuer and Moukoko at the national team a few days ago, there had been repeated rumours about a possible transfer of the Dortmund youngster to FC Bayern. However, Sky now reports there is no truth to these rumours.

Bayern have nothing to do with a possible Youssoufa Moukoko move. In Germany, the only club for Moukoko is Borussia Dortmund [@SkySportNews]

Too bad! After the transfer of Robert Lewandowski to FC Barcelona, FC Bayern is still looking for another striker. And here the (very) young Moukoko would have fitted perfectly into the FC Bayern team. It would be a shame if another talented player leaves the Bundesliga. Come on Bayern, sign him!
Bayern will end up signing a striker whether it is him or another player. They are doing good so far but they need more firepower to be able to maintain positive results whether it was in Bundesliga or Champions League.
Dortmund won't hold its players for long as usual so whenever they find a suitable offer they will let him go so it is up for Bayern to decide.

I think Denmark's match against Tunisia could be just like Argentina's game. Tunisia looks much better than Denmark right now and has better statistics. Although the favourites for the game are Denmark. Same thing we saw when Saudi Arabia beat Argentina, but Argentina were still favourites to win.
Today's game were surprising so far!
Saudi Arabia made an unexpected move by stopping Argentina successive victories and won against them after being 1 goal behind Roll Eyes
I am imagining Saudis will not forget that match for the next century.
Now Tunisia and Denmark is an interesting game, both teams are pushing for a goal to unlock the game but it isn't that easy.
2372  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: November 21, 2022, 05:48:28 PM
Senegal 0 - 1 Netherlands!
Although Senegal pushed more in the second half and was close to score but Netherlands and its goalkeeper are doing good, he saved them at least twice in these difficult minutes. Few minutes left and things is getting harder for Senegal..
2373  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion Thread || Current discussion: African teams at Qatar. on: November 21, 2022, 05:43:47 PM
Senegal chances dropped after Sadio Mane injury and withdrawal from the list of players unfortunately. They were able to advance to the next stage but that doesn't mean they lost that possibility obviously but their chance was reduced.
Mane doesn't make the team, he depends on his teammates to find the back of the net. Contrary to what other people may say, I don't think his absence is going to be such a big issue as long as they play as aggressively as a team, their odds will be higher. And they may be the second African team to reach the knockout stages after Ghana. Well, I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
In every strong team their is this one particular person every player looks up top. That particular good particular give confidence of victory to other players. Mane absence can affect the mindset,  confidence of other players that look ups to him in the team
Indeed that what I was talking about. Look at Senegal now vs Netherlands, they are doing pretty much good but you feel that they are lacking a finish touch. Their attack line is doing its best but can do better and be more threatening. Even if we consider that Mane won't score, his presence will put more pressure on the defence line of the opponent and make his teammates play more comfortably.
Anyway I hope Senegal to get at least a point in this match.

Edit: Netherlands scored...
2374  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: November 21, 2022, 05:37:38 PM
A balanced game played by the Netherlands and Senegal, they are equally capable of performing well in this match. I highlight the efforts made by Senegal, especially in launching a counter-attack. They were always late in making the transition from defense to attack, as a result they were unable to capitalize on the void in the Dutch back line and the Dutch were able to quickly close their gap. I noted there were at least 3 times they were late in the transition. If they can do well in the first half, Senegal will be able to trouble the Netherlands more in this match. The second half has just started, if the two countries are still on the same strategy, then I think they will draw until the final whistle.
Indeed the game is interesting and the most balanced so far comparing to Qatar and Iran ones. You have the feeling that there is a goal that can be scored at any moment. It is true that it is a goalless so a little bit annoying but a single counter attack can reverse everything. It is unfortunate to not see Mane here, you feel his absence.
I prefer to see a draw between them. Both teams deserve to pass to the next stage imo.
2375  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion Thread || Current discussion: African teams at Qatar. on: November 20, 2022, 07:21:52 PM
I agree with you on this. I don't think the African countries that will be playing in the world cup in Qatar have what it takes to make it to the knockout stage. We have Cameroon, Ghana, Morocco, Tunisia, and Senegal in the world cup but the African Champions are expected to go far this time if not because of the injury case of their hitman Sadio Mane who everyone believes would have been a strong force in the team of Senegal. Well, I guess we should be hopeful because football is not by big names the players in Tunisia and Ghana are good players and their groups are difficult but I believe they will shock the world because they will come out from their groups to the next stage.
In my opinion, the most intimidating African squad in the World Cup is Ghana. Knowing who you are up against makes scouting and planning for all the African teams quite simple. You have no idea what Ghana is like. Additionally, Senegal has the greatest chance of all the teams to advance. However, neither Cameroon, Morocco, nor Tunisia are likely to go past the group stage.
Senegal chances dropped after Sadio Mane injury and withdrawal from the list of players unfortunately. They were able to advance to the next stage but that doesn't mean they lost that possibility obviously but their chance was reduced.
Ghana could pass if they play good, their group is a bit harder than Senegal but easier than the other African teams. Tunisia won't pass, Cameroon isn't lucky and Morocco might get a chance.

Why not, maybe he doesn't really affect the performance of the team or can increase team achievement but sure he can provide benefits in terms of club income, he has many fanatical fans around the world and will provide benefits for his new club as long as the club can give what he wants. There are also rumors that Bayern Munich are interested in him.

if ronaldo moves from MU to chelsea, PSG or bayern then he is no longer worthy of being called a MU legend. many people criticize and support whatever he does, but he must realize that the team that first raised his name was MU. if Ronaldo retires at MU then he deserves a MU legend but if next year's transfer market he moves to another club, then he is not a MU legend.
Since when CR7 cares about names more than money and titles?
He recognise what ManU did to him and especially Ferguson but for now he doesn't like Ten Hag and blame the team for keeping him and reducing his participation and not supporting him.
CR7 was a legend in ManU and Real Madrid but he ruined it and he is almost banned from Real Madrid and soon from ManU. Other clubs already barred him. There isn't much choices left other than Chelsea in EPL AFAIK.

Pogba is rumored to be ready for the 4th of January for the 1st game after the break of the World Cup.
Also Chiesa will be almost at his 100% for January.

Juventus will basically already signed 2 "new players" if nothing wrong happens in this month.
I like "signed 2 new players" Wink
Pogba decision to not undergo a surgery at the beginning of the season made him, his national team and Juve suffer a lot. Hopefully he will recover by January and will not require additional time and especially avoid another injury, just like Benzema..
For Chiesa, he will return for sure but it is unlikely to see him playing like before after the knee injury imo. Unfortunately many players went through this and wasn't lucky. I don't want to be pessimistic but I hope he could maintain his good form.
2378  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: November 20, 2022, 06:57:05 PM
Toulouse, AC Ajaccio and Auxerre are clubs that have successfully moved up the ranks to the highest caste in France. However, of the 3 clubs, only Toulouse performed better than the other 2 clubs. Ajaccio and Auxerre are still trying to get out of the red zone they currently occupy. However, it will be a very tight competition at the bottom of the standings because 6 clubs only have one point difference from the position they occupy, even from the 3 clubs having the same number of points, namely by collecting 13 points. . I hope that from the three clubs promoted, they will not only pass, but they will provide real competition in the table.
The promoted teams have always difficulties to stay in the league for the first season since their players are weaker and weren't used to play vs professional teams mainly.
Their most important goal is to stay in the league first then to progress in the ranking whenever they consolidate the team with new good players.
Unfortunately for Ajaccio and Auxerre is that they joined Ligue 1 in the hardest season where 4 teams at once will drop to the second league..
2379  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2022 Group Stage Highlights on: November 20, 2022, 06:50:30 PM
Enner Valencia is playing very well for Ecuador, scoring the two goals for them, and Qatar players are attempting to destabilize Enner Valencia because it appears to be the key Ecuadorian play. I feel that Qatar not playing in qualifiers is a disadvantage for them because they won't gain enough experience. Having an automatic slot and adding another shows how committed Ecuador is to this World Cup.
Ecuador isn't that good in this match. It was Qatar that was particularly bad that made Ecuador looks good!
Qatar defence was medium to weak and under repetitive attacks and pressure which made them make many mistakes. There wasn't also coordination between them and the goalkeeper that made unsuccessful decisions too especially in the cancelled goal.. The midfield of Qatar was quite empty to reduce the pressure on the Qatari defence and to plan a coordinated attack. Now the attack line was playing most of the time? in their own zone except for some attacks? I can't remember more than 2 unsuccessful attempts made so we couldn't say how good was the defence of Ecuador. BTW Qatar was close to score in both attempts which would be embarrassing for Ecuador.
What I can say is that Ecuador dropped after the second goal and if they were playing vs a good team they would definitely lose that game.
2380  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: November 20, 2022, 06:42:04 PM
I kept my coupon. Actually, before the tournament started, I thought that Qatar would beat Ecuador, but when I saw what was written here, I gave up and played under 2.5 goals in the match. Only when the goals came in the first half, I was afraid that my coupon would definitely lose, but in the second half there was no sound of the hall. Enner Valencia would have scored the earliest Hatrick in tournament history, but his first goal was not counted due to offside. In the matches to be played tomorrow, Senegal Netherlands match will be over 2.5 goals and I will play against Wales in the USA & Wales match. Good luck everyone.
VAR was efficient for this cancelled goal otherwise we would see 3 goals at least.
I am particularly disappointed from Qatar. At the opposite I was quite sure they won't win but I was expecting a good performance and maybe a draw. Conmebol teams is way better than AFC teams and Ecuador isn't an easy opponent.
Honestly after the first (cancelled) goal in less than 3 minutes, I was like whoah promising! I still don't know why Ecuador dropped and let Qatari made some useless attempts at the end of the first half and in the second half. Qatari players were passing the ball between each other then returning it to the first player without finding a way to progress before ending the cercle they were creating with the ball.
That was a shameful match for them, basically everyone was disappointed with their performance and a catastrophic failure was so close since they didn't receive more goals. They will definitely leave the competition early and I doubt they could score more than 3 goals, I would say even more than 1 but who knows...
