I had no idea it could be TB. My symptoms started as swollen feet and peripheral neuropathy. Later it became welts on the back of my head, tinnitus, uncontrolled muscle contractions and spasms, with severe Chronic Fatigue. I suspected Multiple Sclerosis. Which is another reason that incidence can be so high here, yet people don't know it, because it can manifest as mimicking other illnesses (and there is a lot of chronic illness here especially amongst the 50 and above age bracket).

Even the WHO is hiding the fact that TB is so endemic. They stated 0.3% per annum new active cases, which obscures the 70 - 80% rate of latent TB. Even the filipinos and even the pharmacist didn't know that. How am I supposed to know that when everyone else doesn't?

Also there were no indications of TB, except for an expert who would be aware that TB can also be disseminated throughout the organs of the body. This information is not common knowledge and it not immediately apparent from causal knowledge about TB.

I would have thought that I would at least have some cough, but I haven't had a cough since at least 2011.

I was scouring the Internet for ideas about my illness for the past years. I was periodically doing searches and reading journals and blogs and trying to find any possible theory of my illness. I was talking to doctors (even some Western doctors on this forum) and none of them suggested testing for TB.

In your apparent ignorance and arrogance you seem to assume that TB is the only disease that is endemic in the Philippines, as if I should have focused on that when my symptoms didn't match and it is not common knowledge that latent TB afflicts such a high percentage of the population.

If I have a strain of TB resistant to the main 4 drugs, then if that idiot doctor made my TB resistant also to levofloxacin, then basically there are no drug remaining to cure the TB!!

He was treating me for h.pylori and I had a very toxic olfactory reaction to clarithromycin so he decided to prescribe me levofloxacin, but he should know that he must test for TB before giving me levofloxacin, because it can make my TB resistant to levofloxacin, thus meaning I could become incurable. When taking levofloxacin for curing TB, you take much higher doses and for much longer prior of time, than for treating h.pylori.

That is insane. If he had tested me for TB, I wouldn't have been sick for 4 fucking years, which caused me to go bankrupt.

I am simply giving a warning to foreigners to be very careful when visiting the third world. I don't think most foreigners realize that LTBI (latent tuberculosis infection) has a 70 - 80% incidence in the Philippines. The WHO hides that statistic by only displaying the annual rate of active disease at 0.3% who actually bother to go to a hospital (many poor people don't bother to go), but that is very misleading. Actually nearly all the people have LTBI that can become active at any moment so the likelihood of infection is very great. Also one can be active and not even realize it is TB, as in my case. I think sharing that information to my fellow foreigners is helpful.

Again if you have problem, we can settle this as men. Just stop being a coward.

I wrote that testosterone is correlated with higher spread (i.e. higher standard deviation) of IQ, which is not a necessarily a higher average IQ. Testosterone is associated with higher risk taking and higher variance.

I did not write higher testosterone, rather just testosterone. I was referring to distinction between genders.

As for higher comparative testosterone amongst the males of different racial groups, I wouldn't be surprised if very high testosterone is associated with lower IQ, because it would seem to me this excess physicality and violence is driven by a society in which many men are impregnating the woman at the same time, i.e. a very primitive society that is not breeding for IQ.

I was also thinking about that, how excess testosterone can be counter productive to mental work. I know that when I am healthy, one of my problems is that my testosterone is so high that I find it difficult to sit still and do mental work until I first go exhaust myself in sports. And if I skip my sports for more than a day or two, I become very aggressively moody and could easily get into a fight. I am ~52 and ill, yet my testosterone was measured to be 23 out of 25. I have noticed that black women on average have much more lean muscular shoulders than many white women. I have seen some strong (especially nordic) white women though.
