2361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH price soaring. Are you going to move some BTC into ETH? on: February 09, 2016, 05:49:36 PM
There's a very real chance that ETH goes to $10-30 and even $50 in the next weeks, think about that, bubble or not, the opportunity to make ACTUAL money is right there, that's how rich people make their money.

On the wings of such dreams do the whales play.
2362  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH price soaring. Are you going to move some BTC into ETH? on: February 09, 2016, 12:22:06 PM
Still not too late to invest at least a little, you never know.

You'd be a god-damn idiot if you'd be 'investing' right now.

High probability that it won't break .01. BTC

May have been saved by 112 sats  Wink (but probably still not)
2363  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH price soaring. Are you going to move some BTC into ETH? on: February 08, 2016, 12:12:59 PM
Don't do it!!

High probability that it won't break .01. BTC won't rally until ETH finishes somewhere above 008

Edit:
While what's cheap? ETH? Ha, it's up 400% and you think NOW is the time to buy?

Surprised you think that. The thing's been developing into a classic bubble, and a surge above .01 seems entirely possible.

The guy tried his best to help fix a problem and was treated as shit for it.

Maybe he should have tried harder to write some actual code.

It doesn't seem like our current conundrum is due to a lack of code.

Oh no, I was rather questioning the image of the industrious guy who tries his best. Seems like he's a slacker to me! Cheesy
2365  Economy / Speculation / Re: Returning to gold standard? on: February 07, 2016, 04:30:49 PM
Dissatisfied with the state of humankind, feeling like civilization is a bit subpar?

I look on with glee to the day we are reduced to dust.

Heh, j/k.

Adopting Gold would mean adopting monetary discipline, so for that reason alone it will never happen. We would sooner burn in the sulphurous pits of hell than live frugally.
Gold standard would be an anachronism, like those quaint Amish people with horses and buggies

Nothing to do with frugality.

Why how noble of us that the only reason we refuse to adopt it is its outdatedness, and that its frugality, we would in fact be more than happy to impose. We surely are the greatest civilisation this earth has known.
2368  Economy / Speculation / Re: Morecoin analysis [bitcoin/USD market observations] on: February 06, 2016, 05:11:15 PM
Wonder how many others are thinking the exact way that I am thinking, and whose next BTC transaction will involve them getting all of thier funds off the exchanges?

Fuck, I remain more optimistic. The fucking activity on some of the fucking exchanges does fucking look rigged indeed but if you look at China and BTC-e they seem to support my main fucking count:

BTC-e      Huobi

i.e. fucking staying above ~380 with the fucking simple moving average acting as fucking support.

lmftfy Wink

Btw, if you already have core, then you can use the same blockchain, no need to download again.

Yeah, I assume you could just replace the core exe/libs with the classic exe/libs, and you'd be good.

Did you notice the huge spike down to the 2550s CNY on btcchina earlier today?

Let me grab my magnifying glass...
2372  Economy / Speculation / Re: should i go 50/50 with gold and bitcoin? on: February 05, 2016, 01:58:31 AM
Gold's currently tapping the top of the channel. We should be due a breakout now judging by historical patterns (not to mention global production is finally set to decrease this year). Even if 2011 proves to be the peak of the bubble, I would expect to see prices reach the 1400 range.

Of course, an asset with a marketcap in the trillions is never going to experience any great deal of growth. Bitcoin has orders more magnitude of potential.
2373  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 04, 2016, 05:34:13 PM
Price is stagnant which is bad even for traders as there's not even 1% price change in between several hours. Seems most investors are now in altcoin.

lol nobody who is really trading is even considering altcoins... You should better put your money in a slot machine then into an altcoin..

If you really want to trade there are other markets which are mega liquid...

What, altcoin/shitcoin trading is lots of fun. There are some great opportunities there if you know where to look. It's obviously no good for large trades though (well, except eth recently).

The Four Punch Raiders are real. This picture was painted by a first-hand witness of their pillaging.

The jib covering over [whatever those square sails with "four punch" are called] came out nice Cheesy

Its a fore-course.

I agree, thats the coolest graphic I've seen here for a while. Nice work.  Who's the face on the top left?

I don't think I should say, but whoever has investigated the origins of Satoshi should have an idea Wink

You've been Four Punch Raided, boys and girls.

Google turns up four results for "four punch raid". Wanna ELI5?

Is it SFW?

Just something that Billy came up with

.@Richy_T: what are these?

Those are the mined blocks.

White square for a regular block, black square for an empty block, red for 99% full and purple for 75% full (but not more than or less than that).

Thanks, handy Smiley
If you get a chance, might add it to the Explanation (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=178336.msg10084622#msg10084622)

Second that suggestion.

Another two or three weeks of downtrend likely before this turns. Then we will see if the rebound attains new stature or fizzles out.

Still think we will see an uptrend going into July, but I guess I have been wrong before Smiley
2378  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin goes to 1200-1300 (within a month?) on: January 21, 2016, 09:27:08 AM
Predicting something once or twice doesn't mean anything, you conspiracy theory fuckers with your bullshit links spreading false information, get a life. The fuck are you even talking about, fiat a ponzi scheme?

I don't know about the analogy, but I'll say this - if you think national currencies and the markets are in good shape, you should pay greater attention. All of our actions since the crash of 2007-08 have merely been a grand postponement. The fundamental issues remain and are in fact worse.

A liquidity crunch caused by cheap money was fixed by cheaper money, excessive debt was fixed by issuing more debt. It is no wonder European legislation was recently enacted for bail-ins of depositors. A reckoning is coming, and the game of numbers shall bear its teeth for all to see.
2379  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 20, 2016, 11:08:02 PM
Speaking of volatility... I am not sure what to make of this recent price action.

It is the work of the meddling Gods. Through the shallow waters of the kylix doth they spy our world.
