2361  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Success or Fail? - Talking about Gambling as a major income on: July 29, 2023, 04:11:48 PM
However taking gambling very seriously could make one be very addicted to it because since it's your major source of earning you would give all your time, focus, attention to it which has severally disadvantages cause it could affect your social life including your physical and mental health, it would even affect other areas of your work because you'll be giving more attention to it, that's why gambling should not be taken as one's major source of earning.
Except for someone who doesn't have a job or is unemployed, most people are like that who prioritize gambling as a source of income because without that they have no other hope of getting money, all their time and life is only in front of their cellphone to gamble even though they don't always win at least they can expect victory there even if a little.

But not many consistent gamblers get wins, they stop playing, on average, even the unemployed are greedy and that is humane behavior so that greed is the biggest enemy of gamblers who expect gambling as their source of income, because if they follow their greedy nature and always emotional he will always experience defeat. but the most important thing for anyone who has a job and family is never to make gambling a source of income let alone an addiction because it will interfere with work as well as the family we have
Sure, unemployment could only be the reason for someone to just decided to be a full-time gambler, even those who were lucky through gambling by winning very big still venture into business to at least pursue a reasonable career by using the winning as leverage. But for real, some people know only two major things in their life, they enjoy life and gamble, these people mostly gamble offline. I don't know how this is working for them but it's real, and it's not a life worth emulating. Gambling should never be viewed as a sole source of income, irresponsibility and less regard for one's future could be the reasons for that.
Not many can use winnings from gambling as leverage to have other businesses that can provide more income, and if anyone can get it, they are among the lucky people because not many can get it. And what happens is they become even more addicted to gambling, and many have experienced it, and it has even gotten worse because they cannot stop their gambling habit.

Unemployed can become addicted to gambling if he continues to play gambling and has no other activities that will affect him physically and mentally. He will tend to be lazy to do other things. Perhaps, more negative impacts can arise for those who try to make gambling a source of income.

Most of those who manage to win instead of taking the money out from this venue, they will think that they can repeat it from time to time, but like on your opinion, lucky for those who manage to divert their winning money to another income generated business or any alternative passive investment that will give them a chance to collect more money from any income generating venues.

Instead of keeping playing and be addicted, it's wiser to leave gambling if you still have that chance, else, you will suffer
a lot from this addiction.

There are others who are gamblers that when they experience a big win, they think that when they get that amount or close to that amount of what they won, they think that even once a week is okay.

When it comes to the reality of the situation, the truth is not like that when actually playing in a casino, we know that there are other casino platforms that will only make you experience winning so that you come back to them, that's the truth.

I agree that there are some gamblers who enjoy the experience of getting a big win once in a week because they just play to earn some money and when they get a good win then they don't really care a lot about any more time with gambling. Those gamblers just give up on gambling when they get the desired amount or more than that, and those gamblers are often successful in gambling.

I don't think that there are any casino platforms that makes you win all of the time because if they do that then that thing isn't fair and trusting such casino's is a very bad decision. Only the casinos that want to scam people can follow such practice because their main intention is to fool out everyone not to make them winners.

They often allow someone to face good wins so that the person could add more money and invite more friends, and at those times the casino will make the user face losses instead of wins. The shady casinos will always do something like that, and the ones who trust those casinos will have to face huge losses.
2362  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit gamble! Easy or Hard? Let's talk. on: July 29, 2023, 03:59:50 PM
A drug addict can get better with rehab but a gambling addict can't get better with rehab because there are financial issues involved where emotions work harder. And it is this emotion that does not allow a gambling addict to quit gambling easily.
I don't think so, does that mean that it will be vice versa onto a drug addict? Rehabilitation is different in every case but I think it will work on gambling addiction as well as long as the patient is doing the work that they need to do. Though I don't tend to know how financial issue works on gambling addicts as what you stated.
Rehabilitation does not bring drug addicts to leave completely, it's just a formality, many come out of rehabilitation but eventually they return to using drugs, so they can't completely stop even though they have gone through a difficult stage like rehabilitation, as well as gambling addicts usually have financial problems if they don't having money might help to cut down and stop gambling.

But if you still have money and assets I'm sure it's difficult because gambling addicts always sell whatever they have as long as they can catch up on the losses they've experienced so most gamblers always feel they can't control their emotions and revenge to get back what they lost, gambling addicts just can't accept the risk that gambling can lose money but they don't realize it so they keep playing after the lost money so they can come back again, but in the end they don't get it anymore and even spend all the money unconsciously. the only way to cure addicts that must start from the desire of the addict.

I don't agree with you at all. Rehab can indeed be a very important step in helping addicts overcome their addiction. True, in some cases the addiction can return after rehabilitation, but this doesn't mean that the rehabilitation is just a formality. Addiction is a complex problem, and relapse is a common part of the recovery process. However, many people successfully recover from addiction through rehabilitation, so it is not good to generalize and simplify things like this.

I agree with you that Rehab has the power to stop someone from addiction and it can greatly reduce the levels of addiction. I also agree that some of those addicts who have gone through rehabilitation can still get addicted to gambling once again, but I highly doubt that they will have the same levels of intensity or addiction levels after going through rehabilitation. The addiction is a powerful thing and that's why rehab centers often have a hard process for the addicts so that they can give up on their addiction. However, I still think that rehab with some strong emotional bound can cause huge changes in someone's mindset and that person can somehow control his/her addiction to some extent.
2363  Economy / Gambling / Re: what are the best crypto casinos! on: July 29, 2023, 03:54:23 PM
The column "Minimum wager to withdraw" seems to me very strange. Casinos who do not allow withdrawals without bets shouldn't be in this list at all. What if I changed my mind and decided not to play? Do they just steal my money?

I don't think that any reputed casino will stop you from withdrawing your money even if you didn't placed any bets, but yes if you have joined a promo and then you wanted to withdraw your money without any wager then in that case the casinos will definitely freeze your withdrawals. I should also clear out that those casinos require KYC for huge sums of money, and they won't allow withdrawals without KYC verification. I know that with small amount of money there isn't a need for KYC but for huge amounts KYC is important.

2364  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Invest in Bitcoin by selling wife's jewelry on: July 29, 2023, 03:49:24 PM
I would not recommend selling the wife's jewelry unless she wants to, although having that money and then putting it in bitcoin is not a bad idea, because it would multiply the money that can later buy those jewelry again, but making that move with her consent, and well I don't see it badly, I also agree when someone borrows money to be able to invest in bitcoin, this when they can pay the loan, because it is not known when the bticoin will increase, or bvaje de price or something like that, but I wouldn't last it is to sell jewelry and buy bitcoin, I would.

My opinion is same like you.Because you should earn some money then save that money in cryptocurrency. He should analysis the market well and find the gem of current market. Then he should earn some profit from it.He should reinvest the same money to earn additional profit from it.Like wise he need to repeat till he gain 3000$ as profits. Then he can easy invest to avoid of using his wife jewels.Because every month their will be interest for the jewels, when you take huge time for the profit from investment. All your profit you need to give to the interest of jewels.Avoid of jewels and use your income to do business.

I think it's morally and ethically wrong to sell your wife's jewelry without her own consent even if you can earn quite huge profits by selling her jewelry. Investing in Bitcoin is a great thing but only for the ones who have spare money because selling your assets for purchasing of Bitcoin isn't recommended at all, and anyone who does that can face huge problems due to the volatility of the market, and also because of someone less understanding of the technical aspects of it.
2365  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit gamble! Easy or Hard? Let's talk. on: July 28, 2023, 06:40:21 PM
That statement proves that an addicted gambler without any willingness to face that hardship to avoid gambling will continue to repeat that same cycle, and nothing can be solved, there's a need of proper guidance with the help of professionals, there are patterns that those professionals studied to bring the balance back, and with your dedication and focus to really quit, you will be able to find ways to keep yourself busy without thinking anything about gambling.

To develop habit for something is very easy but sometimes very difficult to quit especially when the it's a bad one, sometimes those addicted to something doesn't know they're addicted until people let them know about their addiction to such act, and it's in our best interest to help people who are addicted to gambling change from the addiction, they could be your brother, sister, relatives or even neighbours that's why they need help because the consequences of their addiction might affect you in one way or the other, it might be a stressful task to carry out, but it's worth it and the change doesn't come easily, it takes a gradual process and requires one to be patient with addicts until they gradually change from their addictions.
Every problem have a solution also their a solution for gambling addiction as well and there are several ways they could be helped, earlier on i mentioned patient, you need to be very patient with them, giving them advices and let them know the consequences of addictive gambling and how it could destroy them mentally and financially, you don't go advising someone to change with violence or raising your voice on them, for cases that seems difficult like cases where the gamblers are deeply addicted you could refer them to visit therapists that would teach them to maintain good behaviours that would help them with  their gambling disorder.

Extending your patient applies with a person that close to you, for sure no one wants to see someone they know are suffering from any addiction that have a bad side effects to their life, the relationship with the addicted person is important as you really wanted to bring that help to a possible solution that will move the person from his addicted habits to something that will alternatively use his time and his mind, something that can get his attention and possible his focus to forget about his gambling addictions.

Whatever it takes, that key word patient will be a big factor for you to keep your distance close to the person you love, if there's a self-will the chance is not impossible, even how hard is it you both will find success to quit,.

Yes you are right that mate and in addition it's hard to have a friend or a family member that addicted in to a specific thing.  Because you need to influence him back into normal.  And also by the help of a gambling addict your goals will be achieve but if you don't have the cooperation and dedication then one thing for sure you can not change him back into his normal life. Because the main thing they need to quit is their self.

An addict can give up gambling if he/she gets a good treatment from those whom he/she cares about. Those addicts can only stop such a thing if they get impacted by emotions of the ones whom they love, but still the loved ones would have to show them that they really need them, and that's the only way to make a gambling addict give up on the habit of gambling.

That's true that those gambling addicts need self-determination to end up gambling but that self-determination can only come when they feel that the ones who truly love them are in need of them, and they would harm those with their bad habits if they continue gambling. Love is a very powerful emotion, and the ones who are influenced by love often tend to give up on any addiction.
2366  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble Responsibly on: July 28, 2023, 06:32:55 PM
I still hard to believe if a gambling addict will stop and realized if they was wrong with their gambling habit, because there are many gambling addict get forced by their parents to not gamble and get kicked from their company, but it doesn't make them to stop gambling.

There's nothing wrong about this thread, but if you hope you can help an addict by creating this thread, you shouldn't hope to high.
Theirs one my thread I made i stated it that gambling addict is like someone who some virus is running through the blood vessels, and you very well that anyone a virus touched the blood it will be very difficult before the virus will be flushed out of the blood, the way I'm seeing addicted gambler I don't think that someone can stop a gambling addicted person not to pertake in gambling, the only thing I said before now is that you can move the person to a place it can not see opportunity to gamble.
When addicted to gambling, it works in a way that seems to mix with the blood.  Just as blood cannot be removed from the body, it is difficult for them to give up gambling. That is why gambling has to be controlled from the beginning so that it cannot control our-self. Management of animals is very difficult so we have to be careful in all directions otherwise we can't get into a good position. And we have to take responsibility for our own losses

I agree that gambling addiction is a quite severe thing but I don't thing the analogy is correct because in a sense blood can be removed from body and we all have seen that with blood donors when they have donated the blood out of their body for the ones who needed that blood. The gambling addiction can also be fixed, but it's a very tough task to make an addicted person to stop gambling because you know such users would try their best to continue gambling even if you put them behind bars.

I only effective strategy to stop those gamblers from gambling is to make them fall in love with something that's better than gambling and with that thing they can forget other things. For some people true love is that thing because a gambler often searches for a true love and when they can't find that then they start building that love with gambling. For such a person love can cure gambling addition and it has been tested out that strong emotion of love and empathy can eliminate additions.
2367  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] Mixin Safe - Decentralized Bitcoin Custody Solutions | Review Campaign on: July 28, 2023, 06:21:08 PM
Bitcointalk username: SamReomo

This is my review about Mixin Safe and in this review I will describe in detail each feature of this amazing system. The review will describe everything in detail as I try to cover as much I possibly can. I will soon add the screenshots of the review because at time time I'm having some technical difficulties due to shifting to another home.

The Mixin safe website

I have visited the website of Mixin safe and the experience was quite interesting. The exact URL of the site was safe.mixin.zone, and I have visited the website using my Android based smartphone and there wasn’t a lag or delay browsing the site on that device. When I visited the website there was a button named “Get Started” and when I tapped it, I was taken to another page where the information about the Safe was shown in detail. The information include following text “Prepare Owner Wallet, Prepare Members Wallet, Set Mixin Messenger PIN, Add Mixin Messenger Contacts, Sign in Mixin Safe,” and when I scrolled down I found frequently asked questions as well. I have visited the website for sometime and after that I decided to go further and test the applications.

Mornin Key

Mornin Key was the application I used to approve my safe because I didn’t had access to complete Bitcoin core in order to install the PC version of the safe. I download and installed the APK file of the Mornin Key on my Android based smartphone. I recommend the Mixin team to make the Play Store and App Store version of the application to be free so that users would be more happy to install this application. However, for someone like me a free APK is enough to install an application.

Downloading of Mornin key

When I visited the website of the Mornin Key which was mornin.one, the website interface was similar to the Mixin Safe’s original site, and I didn’t gave further time to browse it in detail because I was basically there to download the Mornin Key. I scrolled all the way down to the bottom of the site and from there I clicked on Mornin Key option, and within a second I was taken to another page where I had the option to download Mornin Key either from Apple App Store or from Google Play Store, and when I clicked on the Play Store one I saw that the Application wasn’t for free. I have never used any paid application because I have never had any purchase on Play Store, and that’s why I revisited the website of Mornin key, and download the APK file from that page. Once the file was download then I installed it for free without any issue, and I began testing of the application.

Testing of the Mornin Key and Setting Passcode

I installed the Application of my smartphone Poco M3 pro with just 4 GB ram and there wasn’t any issue during installation, and then tapped the app icon to launch it. When the app was launched I had to create a new account and for that I clicked on “Create a new account” button and I was taken to a window where I had to write my account name. I used my Bitcointalk name for the account and then tapped the “Create” button. Soon after that I was taken to another window where I had two options “Use Biometric” or “Use Passcode”, I have selected the Passcode option, and there appeared another window where I had to set a 6 digit passcode to protect my data. I have selected the 6 digit passcode and it asked me to retype the passcode and I have retyped the passcode once again, and within a second my account was created. After that process a pop-up window appeared that asked me to “Secure the account,” and for that it had an option to select a Mnemonic Phrase. I tapped on Start button on that window and it asked me to write my passcode to unlock Mornin key, and after writing the code it gave me a Mnemonic code that I saved instantly, and then I tapped on Next button. After that it asked me to confirm the Mnemonic code and I confirmed it without any issue, and now I was ready to test Mixin Messenger.

Mixin Messenger and Setting of Pin

In order to test the Mixin Messenger I also used the same Android based smartphone, and I have gone with the same route of installing the APK file directly instead of going with the Play Store one. The installation was pretty smooth, and after the installation I tapped on the Mixin messenger icon to launch the application and it was launched without any lag or errors. Once the app was launched it asked me to write my phone number in order to create the account, and I entered my real phone number to get the verification code, but unfortunately after so many tries and waiting for a long time, I was still unable to get the code on my phone. The code wasn’t coming on my number and that’s why I decided to go with a throwaway number which was already allowed by Royse to be used during registration.  I tried to register my account with a throwaway number and I received a 4 digit code on that number without any issue but after confirming the code I found that someone has already created a mixin account using that number, and after that I tried to log out the account, but unfortunately I never found a log out button even after searing it for 10 minutes, and each time when I tried to load the Mixin messenger the account was already logged in on my app. I decided to “clear all data” of the app so that I can somehow be able to recreate another account and fortunately that worked for me. I have done the process on many throwaway numbers and most of them already were used to create an account by someone, but finally I found a number which was fresh, and I verified my account using that number.

After that I was taken to a window where I was asked to write my name, and I have written my Bitcointalk account name once again this time and tapped of next arrow. After that step I was taken to a window where I had to create a new wallet for me, and for that I clicked on continue button. After that it asked me to create a 6 digit pin, and I have written my 6 digit pin and clicked on start, and I have to reconfirm the pin for 4 times if I remember and then a small pop-up message appeared “Set PIN successfully,” and a some messages were given by team Mixin. I clicked on that tab and read those messages which were basically welcome messages, and some guideline messages.

Testing of Mixin

After that was done, I started testing the app. I first tapped on the left down icon on the app that was somehow similar to a lock type of icon, and once I tapped that then I was taken to a page where I had the option to send or receive crypto-currencies. I decided to deposit some money to test the app’s functions and out of all available crypto-currencies I went with Lite Coin as that’s the one which I always prefer because of low fees. I sent only $5 worth of Litecoin from my wallet and after 12 confirmations the Lite coin appeared on my messenger wallet. After that I added random contacts in my contact list to test the app, the contacts were added. I sent them some messages, but got no replies from those contacts.  I should also mention that I had transferred the $2 from my mixin messenger by reading the QR code of the wallet and then sending money to that wallet was easy. As soon as the transaction was completed the MixPay message appeared in my chat. After the purchase I had only $2.94 worth of Lite coin left on my account. I gave it a try to withdraw the money, but the fee was too high at $1.84 per transaction, and after seeing the fee I decided to deposit $5 more into my account. The deposit process was just like the previous one and it appeared on my wallet after 12 confirmations.
Now I tried to send some of my Lite coin to the ones in my contacts, and the first transaction I send was just 0.0001 LTC and it was sent very fast without any issues. After that I send another transaction worth of 0.001 LTC to another contact and that was sent instantly like the previous one.

Creation of Safe

Now it was time to create my safe and for that I used my Mornin Key app to scan the QR code. I have now scanned the QR code of mixin safe from its website and authenticate the Mixin Safe Service to get access to my safe on the website. After that I have purchased the standard plan of the site which costs $2 dollars, and with that plan I was able to create my own safe. The standard plan to use the safe cost $2 dollars as of this day and may later be reduced or increased depends on the decision of the mixin, but I really recommend to reduce the cost of basic plan to $1 or even lower then that to attract new customers. After that was done and my account Samreomo was approved as a member of the case then I decided to deposit some money into the case.

Connecting my safe and depositing money into it

Now it was time to approve some transactions using Mornin Key and for that I had to scan the QR code of my Safe with Mornin Key application. I scanned the QR code of my safe and approved it with Mornin Key app, and during approval I was required one again to enter my passcode, and the safe was approved instantly. After that I decided to deposit some of the Lite coin in my safe and for that I had to add the wallet number of the safe which I have added using mixin messenger once again and then I sent just 0.0001 LTC as first deposit to the site. The deposit was sent after sometime, but the fee was too high for that transaction. I just deposited 0.0001 LTC and the fee was 0.02 LTC which was quite higher than the transaction itself, and after that I decided to sent 0.02 LTC as my next transaction, and that transaction also had 0.02 LTC as fee. The fee was higher then other exchanges and that’s why I got curious that why the fee was so high as compare to the exchanges. For that reason I had to contact their Customer Care service.

Mixin Customer Care service

Now it was time to ask some questions from the customer care service. I posted the message that why the fee of the transactions made with Lite coin were higher with mixin wallet from other exchanges? And, within few seconds I got some replies from the customer care of the mixin. They have explained the reason for higher fees, and I must say that it really made sense so that I thank them for the information they gave me. I must say that the customer service is quite good and responsive and they are always there to help you with their assistance.

Withdrawing Money from My Safe

After contacting the customer support now it was time to withdraw my Lite coin from the Safe, and for that reason I used my own Lite coin wallet address to withdraw coins into it. To do that I clicked on transactions button on my account page, and at the transaction page and I selected SamReomo safe, and after that I clicked on next button. After that the next window appeared in that window I pasted my wallet address and selected the amount that I was going to withdraw, and then clicked on the next button once again. Now I was taken to another page named summary and from that page I clicked on Create button, and I was taken to next page where I clicked on Approve button. A pop-up appeared where the member of the safe had to approve the transaction with a QR code to scan, I scanned the QR code using my mixin messenger and the transaction was approved. After that the final window appeared and at that window I also clicked on Approve button, and this time I need to scan the QR code with Mornin Key application. I have scanned it with Mornin Key and the transaction was approved, and soon it was completed. After a few minute I received the Lite coin In my wallet.

Setting Emergency Contact

Now it was time to have my emergency contact and for that I had tried on all of those contacts that I added, but none of them added me back as a friend and for that reason I was unable to add any of those as emergency contact. I was worried that how can I fulfill this requirement of the review and sudden I got an idea to create another mixin account on my brother’s smartphone, and for that I took my brother’s smart phone which had similar specs like the one I used. I created the account in the similar way that I used to create my original account. Once the account was created fully I added it as a friend by searching it with the help of its mixin id, and then I added my account as a friend on it in the same way. Now, I added this account as my emergency contact and I got the code from it and entered it to make a my emergency contact. The operation was done successfully and I had faced no issue at all. I must say that adding an emergency contact was a hard task, but still I have completed it successfully.

Withdrawing money from Mixin to my wallet

I decided to give mixin a try by withdrawing the money into my personal wallet. For that I have added my personal Lite coin wallet and requested a withdrawal using mixin messenger. I have withdrawn 0.0065869 worth of LTC to check that what happens, and fortunately I got my withdrawal without any issues, but once again the fee for the withdrawal was 0.02 LTC, but since I knew that why the fee was so high, and that’s why I didn’t care about that.

My Suggestion

Although the Mixin safe is a quite useful system but it needs some changes in order to be more useful for the users. The first suggestion I want to give is that the Mixin team should reduce the costs of the plans because many users won’t be happy to begin with a system that starts with $2 as basic plan. I would also advise Mixin team to make the Mornin Key app free on Play Store as well on App Store because many people don’t trust the applications that are installed from outside of the Play Store or App Store, and those people also consider such apps as suspicious. I find it okay to register an account using a phone number because most of the messenger apps also require phone verification, but still it would be better to allow the users to create accounts with e-mail address, however it isn’t necessary. Finally, I would recommend Mixin team to reduce the fee for withdrawals because the fee is very high and for those accounts who have less amount of crypto won’t be able to use it with those high fees.

Conclusion

Mixin safe is the most secure and useful safe for all those users who want to secure their crypto-currencies, and I believe that it is very important for everyone who wants high level of security. My experience with this system was really good and I have never faced any issue by using the safe. Anyone who is uses this application for one time would love to use it forever because the system is the safest one in the market, and so far my experience has been really good I must say. Anyone who loves to make their crypto safe can easily rely on Mixin safe because this thing is among the best one in the market.
2368  Other / Meta / Re: Are these flaws of SMF forum software? on: July 28, 2023, 03:54:21 PM
If you have a user in your ignore list then you would be able to still see the post of that user if quoted by another user. Avatar and personal text are also visible to an ignored user. I am not sure if this issue is because of the old version as the forum version is 1.1.19, whereas the newest version released is 2.0.16. I am not sure whether a patch would stop this problem, you may give it a try.

Maybe because am not the type that do ignore often, I don't seem to get familiar with this features actually, but to those that make use of the ignore button would have many encounters of the likes, but i expect not to be able to view any related quote, signature or avatar of any member on ignore list, ignore could mean having nothing to do with the user irrespective of how they have been active or contributing to the forum, because most users on ignore list were either scammers or shitposters.

I also have a similar habit of not ignoring any user because I don't really care about the ones who often do shit-posting or use bad words in conversations because in life if we have to face such people then why not on this forum? As far as I know that we often try to ignore the users whom we don't trust or who can cause some problems for us. I would rather not reply to the ones who do shit-posts rather than ignoring them because it's not necessary to ignore all those whom you don't like.

Now back to the OP, I don't think that new patch would solve that issue, and it isn't a bad thing to view Avatar and personal text of the ignored users because the Avatar and personal text doesn't really matter a lot when you're not reading a reply done by the users that you added in your ignore list.

2369  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Just Another Good Source Of Motivation For You ... on: July 28, 2023, 03:40:40 PM
It is one of the best ways for Motivation ever and it's true at the same time. The comment is very true and we all know that, and yes instead of wasting a lot of money on our eating habits we can save a little amount of money each day or week and spend that on Bitcoin. I know that no body will get rich by investing such amount of money on Bitcoin, but still something is always better than nothing, and the ones who invest some amount of their money on Bitcoin will have a better future as compare to the ones who spends that money on unnecessary things.

I know that there are people who won't be spending more than $2 to $5 per day on the food or other items because they live in areas where they don't earn a lot of money and that's why they can't spend a lot of on food or other items, but the ones who spend $10 or more per day on their food should learn a good lesson from this comment, and they should try to reduce their eating expenses and invest a little amount of their money on Bitcoin at least.
2370  Other / Meta / Re: Deleting Several Previous Posts/Comments To Reduce Post Count... on: July 26, 2023, 12:08:05 AM
I think there are only few members who do that and that's their right so no one can stop them from doing that. I don't think that deleting one's posts and making post to merit ratio higher would give someone edge over others when it comes to signature campaigns. A campaign manager often tries to select those members in his/her campaign that can write well constructed content which can help a campaign to get more attention of the forum users. For example a user having 1000+ merits having only 700 posts which are well constructed while another user having 1000+ merits having more than 15k+ unconstructed posts. In this case the one with 1000+ merits and 700 posts would get high priority to be accepted in a campaign than the one with 15k+ unconstructed posts.

The mangers often look for those participants that can be valuable for a campaign, and they try to avoid the fact that how many merits they have earned unless the funder of the campaign demands the members with higher merits only. I don't think that a campaign manager cares a lot about number of posts of a user when selecting him/her in a campaign because most of the campaign managers want those users who can produce good quality posts during the running time of a campaign, and there isn't any issue with their previous posts because most of the previous posts can be considered dead if they aren't in a active thread anymore.

That's my own opinion, however the managers might consider other factors as well. I'm quite sure that each manager who wants to run a successful campaign may give priority to those posters who try to make well constructed posts that can help solve the issues of the other users. And, yes if a user who makes constructed posts can post more than the requirements of the campaign then that's a plus point, and most of the campaign managers appreciate such users with bonuses.

If someone with no political or other power ties gets this accused of fraud, banks and credit providers would not provide liquidity, that is what I meant.
Agreed. If they didn't have so much power and money, they would have disappeared off the face of the earth a long time ago, but that sadly didn't happen.

Though, if they have so much influence and power, there was no rational reason they would decide to become a scam casino. They could have developed some campaign to continue doing legitimate business as any other platform. But I assume that, as soon as they encountered some economical problems, they turned to shady practices to continue in business.

I mean, instead of scamming it would have been better just to ask money to their parent company to solve the temporary problems...

Well, they don't really care about any bad comments because they are more than happy by running their shady business and so far no one has been able to stop them from doing that. I'm quite sure that they will continue doing their shady business for a long time and they won't really care about anyone who makes negative comments about them. I don't know why still the gamblers join such sites and try their luck on those sites which are known as scams and shady businesses.

I think that they get those gamblers only because of those influencers who have just sold their souls because of money that they get from them. However, I'm quite sure that knowledgeable gamblers would never fall into such scams because they are quite aware about those casinos and they do their research before joining a casino.

3. Set a fixed point at which you stop. After three, four, five or whatever number you choose, stop for a good long break. It’s when one trade follows another that most mistakes happen. Consult your trading journal and review your strategy.

I don't think that a trader needs to stop for getting three, four or even more winning trades because if a trader is having a well developed strategy based on technical indicators and other trading tools then that trader doesn't need to wait for another long time because as soon as the strategy and its requirements are met the traders needs to place a trade. A good trader often know his/her limits and would never ever place a trade when the requirements are not met.

7. Watch out for greed. Greed can make you stay in a trade when you had planned to exit, hoping to milk it for a little more profit. Such trades risk turning out badly, just when you thought you were winning. Use your trading journal to judge the best exit points based on past behavior.

That's a very valid point and it has been a proven fact that when a trader is grabbed by greed then that trader won't be able to place good and winning trades. Such a trader will hardly get any wins because his/her greed won't let him/her to close a position with profit, and when the market goes in inverse direction then that trader will lose instead of winning. A top level trader would only take profit which is possible according to his/her strategy and would never ever think about anything higher than that.

2374  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can a person buy a hardware wallet where crypto is ban? on: July 25, 2023, 03:49:10 AM
I am from a country where crypto currencies are strongly legalized. I know about the hardware wallet security it's best for the long-term bitcoin holder. Now is there anyway to import a hardware wallet to any country where crypto currencies are illegal ?
And one more things I wanna know that how can I chose a best budget friendly hardware wallet?

I would recommend you to go for a cold software based wallet instead of a hardware wallet because the software cold wallets are also very safe and one can use those without any issue. As far your cold wallet is not connected to internet your security is far higher than those hardware wallets, and in a country where Bitcoin is banned one should opt for software based wallet instead of hardware wallet.

I suggest you to go with Electrum if you made your mind to go with a cold software wallet because this wallet is open-source, and is currently the best wallet most of the investors use. I'm quite sure that most Bitcoiners who use Electrum are very sure that this is the safest option when it's used as a cold wallet. I highly recommend you to go with this wallet instead of looking for a hardware wallet, and yes, you should still be careful because there can be legal problems for a citizen if he/she is doing something that's banned in a country. Do it at your own risk my friend!

If you still want to go with a hardware wallet then try to build your own instead, and for that you can find many tutorials online which teach you that how you can built such a wallet yourself. I would recommend you to watch this video whose link I will post below because I think this video can be very helpful for you.

I know that shit-coins suck and they don't hold any value, and at the same time they are useless, but I don't think one should represent them in such a way. It's something called racism because the people who are black are far more worthier then those shit-coins, and I don't think that one should represent a useless coin in that way. I don't really care about those shit-coins, but I really do love and respect black color people. I know your intention was not to hurt the ethnic groups where members have black skin color, but still you should avoid creating such posts. I request you to never represent anything in that way even just for fun because such things can hurt others feelings very badly.
2376  Other / Meta / Re: Merit source and top merit earners on: July 25, 2023, 03:11:57 AM
You're wrong about merit sources and I recommend you to not promote any lies because the merit sources in our forum are performing their duty very well, and they also know very well that which user deserves a merit and which doesn't. The merits are often given to those users who make well informative posts, and they posts somehow reflect their helpful nature, and if a user doesn't gets a merit then that means the user isn't trying to help others but is only after grabbing merits, and we call such users as "merit fishers," because they try their best to get merits even though they do not deserve to get any of merit because of their poor positing habits.

And, when it comes to new accounts getting merits then you must have to look their post history because a useful post from a newbie is more appreciated by our merit sources because they want such newbies to rank faster. They only give merits to those newbies because they know that such users can be helpful for the forum, and they can produce more constructive and reading worthy posts after they are appreciated with merits.
Instead of blaming our merits sources you should better try to make good and helpful posts, and I'm quite sure that you'll see that merits will flow toward your good posts like to the ones that you have seen on this forum.
2377  Other / Meta / Re: Charles-Tim merit source application on: July 24, 2023, 05:10:47 PM
I think Charles-Tim is a very competent member of the board and I wholeheartedly support him to become a merit source. A user like Charles-Tim could be a very useful merit source for that local board because he is already generous with the users of the board, and wants to help the active users of the board. I hope that during upcoming adjustment theymos will consider the application of Charles-Tim, and would accept him as a merit source.
2378  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Important message that I don't know the source of on: July 24, 2023, 04:55:33 PM
I think you know what the merit system is for, so instead of just expecting the community to appreciate your post, get their post with merit if you think it's helpful. It's also great as another way when you want to thank a user who helped you get the right answer. I don't see you sending any one sMerit to other users, while you are still trying to rank up and earn as much merit as possible.
I asked about things I didn't know. When someone gives an answer that makes the questioner know, shouldn't we say thank you.

Why do you direct to merit and efforts to rank up?
Btw, thanks for telling me to issue merit to other users.

I think he has given you a good advice because when someone helps you like in this case @FatFork has helped you then as a appreciation you would definitely send some sendable merits to such users. It isn't necessary, but keeping your S-merits won't help you at all because those are not useful for you, however they can be helpful for other users who need those, and those who provide valuable information deserve to get some merits.

@ShowOff said that because on you haven't sent a single merit to a user of the forum, however you have received many merits from the generous members of the forum who support users that do a value thing in this forum. I hope that soon you will realize that keeping those s-merits won't be helpful for you in any way at all, and giving those s-merits will make you happy as well because you will feel a pleasure to help those who somehow helped you with their knowledge.

And, I must say that you have learnt about factoids from @FatFork, and that's why it should be very generous to send such users merits to show that you truly appreciate their help. It isn't mandatory, but it shows that how generous a user if with those who try to help him/her with their knowledge.

I have been thinking for some time now to discuss some of our personal matters with all of you. I myself have been involved with Bitcoin for a long time and my cousin knows quite a bit about Bitcoin. Whenever I have any problem I discuss it with him and he gives me a lot of helpful words. I will discuss some personal matters of my cousin with you all. My cousin and his friend are studying in the same college. His best friend said to him what are you doing.  He said I have been involved in Bitcoin for a long time and his friend knew he traded in Bitcoin. Bitcoin He works hard and because of this hard work he is a successful trader. Seeing his success, his best friend requested him a lot and finally he agreed. The problem is that he had no capital. He borrowed about 800 dollars from my cousin. My cousin did not share this with anyone. His best friend worked hard enough in Bitcoin and now he is successful. So my cousin said friend pay me the 800 dollars you took from me. As soon as my cousin spoke, his best friend said, "Dude, I paid you 800 dollars long ago. He could not understand what to say as if he was losing his language after hearing this. My cousin just keeps saying one thing and if he doesn't pay me back the 800 dollars I won't have much financial loss but I can't trust anyone else who did this to me I will never forget it. My cousin is very broken mentally and can't share this with any of his family. He can't take any legal action because Bitcoin is not legal. My cousin keeps saying one thing my best friend cheated on me then I told her a lot that what happened happened don't worry about it anymore.

I think such people are always there to teach us some lessons that everyone in this world can't be trusted and your cousin's friend also did something that only a scammer would do. He took money from your cousin when he needed money, and now when he is financially stable, he just take U-turns and falsely says that he had already paid him that $800 dollar which he borrowed when needed.

You should tell you cousin that there are always such kind of people who take advantage of one's generosity and take U-turns by say false words and lies to convince other that they have already done them a favor when they needed it, or totally ignore the people who favored them. I think those people really don't have any morals because they can sell their soul for money, and they don't really care about someone's goodness, or about someone's emotions that they hurt with their behavior.

2380  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: As a gambler do you have a potential winning amount limit? on: July 24, 2023, 03:31:09 PM
I have heard and read about people gambling because they had no source of income,  a job or they wanted to add gambling as part of their streams of income. Whatever your category the bottom line is that we all gamble to make money though some group claim it's mainly for fun. But who would want to be losing money all in the idea of catching fun!

There are gamblers that don't place their bet not until they have gotten a certain amount as their potential win. Some do this based on their financial challenge with the anticipation that just one win they may get on such amount is a life changer for them.

My main focus on this thread is in this question: as a gambler do you place your bet according to the weight of your financial need or you're always okay with whatever amount that comes out as potential win no matter how small amount?

playing bets, must make sense! or it's not betting but throwing money away.

if you go to add results only to obtain a certain number it is impossible to find the right combinations you need and you will always be forced to add "random results" or ones you are not sure about...
Such an approach in gambling fails right from the start. It's kind of impossible someone could make a living in such way Wink

That's right because when we are placing bets, in a sense we are throwing money in hope of getting more of it rather than losing it, and if someone does that without proper timing then the result will be the loss of that money. Yeah, the ones who follow an approach where the surely is very less then the result of that kind of approach is often the loss of money.

A gambler should understand that gambling requires some kind of luck factor, mostly the games that these casinos offer, and if someone delves into those games with a low luck then that person could face huge losses in gambling. A good and a proper gambler would work with a strategy and should also have luck to get winning bets.
