2361  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: India may ban Bitcoin! on: November 07, 2017, 12:14:44 PM
Meh, it won’t do much to the price even if it does happen. Maybe there will be less ‘show bob & vegena pics’ using sex services on the dark web but that’s about it.
It will also stop all the Indian account signature farmers as well, joking.  Even if so still is not healthy for Bitcoin and as  I recalled Bitcoin has always been illegal in India.  I once try to hire an Indian to develop a website and pay him in Bitcoin and he said it was not allowed and that was a few years ago.  Indians are learning that the gov or the banks cant really stop Bitcoin so they do continue to use it as of today.  Message to you guys do not let anyone tell you how and where to climb a mountain.  We strive for  world currency which we all can use.
2362  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Considerations before buying BTC on: November 06, 2017, 10:09:07 PM
What is the metrics that you take into account before investing in BTC? Do you think about how much it has been rising, what is news is coming up, and your personal belief in crypto?

I'm focusing on the bigger picture. Sure, it can bring short term profits but it's the big picture that makes me hold onto it when the price drops. I always read as much as I can trying to figure out why the prices decreased or increased and have my own view instead of trying to follow the crowd. .
I have invested because I could see how BTC is changing the world and how popular it's becoming. I've put my money into it long ago and haven't sold even when I was at a loss.

That is great you have not sold and I hope you do not sell it all once it reaches a million because it can go further then I thnk instead of people selling they should buy with bitcoin, if everyone is looking at this as just to dump, then yeah I will be expecting a pop the bubble on the bitcoin charts.
2363  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banks and Bitcoin on: November 06, 2017, 06:25:51 PM
Do banking corporations will create a formula to kill Bitcoin?

a formula is possible since banks and government work hand to hand.  Governments borrow from banks so is very possible banks will try to crush bitcoin.  Also big govs cant tolerate Bitcoin, this is a currency that threatens the fiat monopolies, for example it is happening in Venezuela, we just got to hope the major super powers do not follow.
2364  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTG Hold or Fold? on: November 06, 2017, 03:15:37 PM
Its too risky to buy the forked coins now.  Look at bch all who bought it was loss terribly. Wait for it to dump a lot before buying. As you already bought the coins its up to you if you want to sell it or hold it.  It might pump after the fork.

I bought some BTG, look like the miner today are not sure about segwit2x... Guys anyone can suggest if Hold BTG ( today lose 15% ) or fold it?

Well you are right, but in the future, bitcoin cash might well be the third alternative alt coin next to Etherum.  I am also hoping for a dump on BTG but to be honest, besides the only you can do is mine with a GPU what other benefits does the coin have?  I am thinking of what many people in the community have said about it that it gives nothing. But all this can be speculation and this might work as just a coin to trade but not to use.  Seems ETH and Bitcoin can be used for other things besides trading and gambling.
2365  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin price Worth $7500 on: November 06, 2017, 01:02:15 PM
Bitcoin Price Will Have ‘No Difficulty’ Hitting $10,000,
After Bitcoin hit $7,000 and stayed above it Monday, the virtual currency’s most famous fans are confident $10,000 will involve little effort.
Will the bitcoin price reach $10k by the end of the year, then what about the altco price??

im not really sure if bitcoin can hit 10000 dollar this month but maybe next month when were close to the next fork that said will happen again on december, resulting for bitcoin silver to spawn and altcoins price can still bleed for sure though not all altcoins can go down all the time, some are still increasing and its still possible to do trades and make a little profit.

It will hit that mark, there were over 100,000 new registrants on coinbase, so do the math, I bet 80 percent still did not get there bitcoins yet.  Plus there is an rush now to buy up more bitcoins, its the greed factor thats kicking in.  Everyone now wants at least 1 bitcoin.  1 bitcoin is gonna be alot different in value once you hold it for 10 years.  You have also colleges who are now experimenting with bitcoin, so the word is not spreading faster, and then you have Bitcoin futures which will launch by end of the year.  Do not tell me is not going to hit 10,000.  Is possible it can happen by end of this month.
2366  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do people think about Mcafee statement? on: November 06, 2017, 12:40:25 AM
McAfee said Bitcoin will be $500k within 3 years: https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/john-mcafee-claims-bitcoin-will-worth-500000-three-years/

Do you think he's worth listening to?

Nice job finding a 3 month old article newbie.  but anyway, he might be right.  people will buy and keep buying, more gold fever, will create more gold fever.  It has been happening for a while.  The question is when it gets to 1 million is everyone gonna dump?
2367  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: To Satisfy Soaring Bitcoin Demand, China's Exchanges Find A Loophole on: November 05, 2017, 11:00:51 PM
Actually, this news is mixed.

If the people of China free themselves up from their oppressive government, how will they treat the rest of the world? Bitcoin might go up to $500,000 per bitcoin when that happens, but will the resulting destruction of the fiat system be beneficial? Are we really ready for that? Is Bitcoin strong enough to take up the load?

Cool

OK wow you make some valid points there, but this is a great message to send all governments around the world.  We are tired of being controlled. To hell with the fiat system, and no I do not think we are ready yet, but the fiat system can handle it for now I am sure of it.  Freddie Mercury, "I want to break free"

That's kind of hilarious in a sad way.

But then again, I'd advise staying away from all airdrops. You never know how many coins the "dev" team holds because it's easy and cheap to buy hundreds of sockpuppet accounts to redeem airdrops and manipulate the coin. And they have too much control anyway... just look at Onion.

I actually believe this is happening with this coins and others, how long this forum has been in operation?  for only newbies and jr members to be interested in these alt coins.  Im seeing alot of activity like this, Also maybe I am wrong, maybe not enough exp members not joining these air drops due to them being burnt by these kinds of events.
2370  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is BTG worth the trouble? on: November 05, 2017, 03:17:15 PM
So far of what I had been reading from peoples statements about BTG, I can understand.  They made a coin with no point, they made it only for the rich, you and me with harldy any bitcoins will be able to benefit from it. It was make on the sole purpose of greedy developers, and this is why it failed and hopefully truly fail, it did not have a healthy start, even if it gets the replay protection.
2371  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All of my friends have finally dumped all of their alts on: November 04, 2017, 10:18:11 PM
I have been telling my (online, because I don't know anyone in real life that even knows what bitcoin is) friends to get rid of their altcoins, because sooner or later there would be a massive bull run to bitcoin that would last months. They never believed in what I had to say. "Bitcoin maximalist" they would accuse me off.

Recently, they finally dumped their alts, which they were holding in hopes of a pump to make more bitcoin with, and simply held BTC. They have dodged the massive alt crash that has brought up BTC back above %50 of the crypto marketcap dominance.

Im not saying all altcoins are shit, but most are. It seems finally reality is kicking in amongst noobs that thought they could get easily rich with altcoins, and they are finally going back to BTC.

You should not give that advice to be honest it can turn around a bite you where it hurts.  Altcoins are going to play a big part in the cryptoworld.  You can call most shit coins but there are some that are already changing the game. Never put all your eggs in one basket is the old saying Smiley
2372  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: its Already 10 Days - No BTG Wallet till Now on: November 04, 2017, 11:41:32 AM
In forking, there is something we call the replay protection. Is BTG supports the replay protection? I don't know what is that, I am just hearing that thing here.

Well, this is the reason I am not participating in forks. These things happen.

I will explain to you what replay protection is, I really think your just post boosting for your sig, but I will explain to you anyway. So first of all for you to learn what replay protection is, you must understand what is a replay attack first,  OK so in the occurrence of an hardfork without it having replay protection, transactions that spend prefork coins are validated on both chains right?  So if Anna sends Dustin 1 coin on chain A, the same transaction will be valid on chain B.  Anna may be wanting to send Dustin 1 ACoin and 1 BCoin, in which case she will be transmitting the transaction on both chains and have no vulnerability. However, if she wanted to send Dustin only 1 ACoin and not 1 BCoin, we have a problem. Anna will, of course, broadcast the transaction on chain A, but the transaction is now public and that opens up a security vulnerability.  The attacker can take the public transaction sending 1Acoin from Anna to Dustin from chain A and replay it on chain B. This would cause Dustin to get the 1 BCoin. This is called a replay attack and causes a lot of strange transactions.  So from here now you should know what replay protection is for and there a few ways of implementing replay protection.
2373  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is this SUDDEN price rise good for BTC? on: November 04, 2017, 01:26:36 AM
Im seeing alot of people point to this coin as only a commodity which is not a good thing in bitcoin.  Are you telling me each of you are buying bitcoins only for investing?  I use it for a store of value, if I ever need fiat I have my bitcoin debit card and I withdrawal the money.   If I need a service or item I buy it with Bitcoin.  If everyone is only seeing it as an investment, then yeah we have a problem.  Maybe Bitcoin is a commodity instead of a currency.
2374  Economy / Economics / Re: Best strategy to profit from crash on: November 03, 2017, 07:23:57 PM
I will be honest, I regret the day that I did not start with bitcoin. It was in the very early days, value was still around $1. But I calculated that the costs of mining would exceed the value of the coin. Then around 2011 I had some money to 'invest' and considered bitcoin. I don't even want to calculate the value it would be now, that's just frustrating  Grin. But hindsight is always easy. If we could look into the future we would all be millionaires the next day.

But I could not stop following it because I like the technology and also the economic aspect. So I believe the point of investment is just gone. Even if it go's up to 100.000 this still would 'only' be about 10 times the value now, so not the mega profit from the early days.

But I'm convinced that bitcoin will crash some day. Not because of envy, but there are a lot of things pointing to a tipping point. A bubble for sure. The question is when will people realize this and when will the fall start.

So I'm pretty sure about this and this time I don't want to miss this opportunity. The question is, what would be the best strategy to profit from this crash? I thought CFD's and short-selling, but when it go's up a lot, I don't have the equity to hold the positions and they will be terminated/margin call. Also I don't trust the brokers, will they pay when the fall is huge?

We can discuss about a crash yes or no, but for me this is not a question anymore. The only question is, how can I make sure not to regret this opportunity this time.

The only way possible that it can go a value of 0, is that somehow Bitcoin is hacked and I am not talking about double spending hacks.  Im taking about a hack that can really hurt Bitcoin itself. Bitcoin is a currency where we can store value.  I am using these coins now for purchasing gift cards for my game streams and other necessitates that I cant not get at my grocery store, your treating it as its only a stock.  Bitcoin is not only an investment to many, people are now using it to pay for services, such as the sign campaign I am in now.  If Bitcoin was go to 100,000 I will not make an asinine choice and exchange my bitcoins to fiat.  Why when I can use it to make the same purchases I can with fiat?  You see what I am saying?

2376  Economy / Economics / Re: The value of bitcoin? on: November 03, 2017, 11:52:29 AM
I don't agree with Adam Smith.
Bitcoin price is being determined by the free market, it worth what people are willing to pay for it.

The more the bitcoin price goes up, the more it becomes profitable to mine, which makes more miners to join the circulation, which increases the difficulty of mining a bitcoin, and makes it cost more to mine.

I think that the price of something is only related to how much people want it and are willing to pay for it.

Sigh, it seems like many people do not really quite understand bitcoin yet.  I do believe you are somewhat and then somewhat wrong on your statement.
There are many factors that determine the value of bitcoin, it can just be based off greed and what people are willing to pay for it.  You said that mining makes bitcoin more valuable which is true and that is just one factor of it.  The fact I believe that bitcoin is the first Digital or crypto currency to have a cap is one of the reasons why it holds so much value.  To point out Bitcoin can be used to make online purchases not just to store value.  These are only two factors that give it the value it is going to deserve.  There are many factors that are driving of bitcoin. Its not only based on what people are willing to pay for it.
2377  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bubbles: Tulip Mania, Dot.Com and Bitcoin on: November 03, 2017, 09:51:56 AM
Many online and mainstream media press comments refer to Cryptocurrencies as bubbles.

The most often quoted are the Dutch Tulip Mania and the Dot Com bubbles.

Tulip bulbs serve only 1 purpose - growing flowers. They have no use as money - ie store of wealth, medium of exchange etc. Tulip Mania was a true bubble driven by speculation. It was a Ponzi scheme, which collapsed. A few people made huge sums, but many people lost all their savings.

The Dot Com bubble was a different. Up to 90% of the Dot Com startups were cash burners, having no business model, and no value. Was it a Ponzi scheme? Probably not. Again, a few people made huge sums, but many people lost all their savings. But, a few Dot Coms had genuine prospects, and some of these have grown into tremeandously valuable FAANG companies.

Cryptocurrencies, and especially ICOs are very like Dot Com. 90% will fail. A few will grow into big players by providing innovative and valuable solutions.

Bitcoin is definitely not a bubble, because it is like money and is a store of wealth, medium of exchange etc. Also, it is already providing innovative and valuable solutions, like hedge against hyperinflation, and independence of Central Bank control.

Is BC overpriced? Maybe.

Is BC underpriced? Maybe.

Is BC's price rise currently speculation driven? Probably.

Will the price of BC decline, short term? Probably

Will its price drip to zero (like tulips)? Definitely not

Will it be here in 20 years? Definitely.

Will it still be valuable in 20 years? Absolutely

They really do not grasp the understanding of what Bitcoin is and the blockchain.  There basing a tulip just because price is going up instead of trying to learn what is making it seem so valuable.  They are biased because they feel like the are missing out, its human to feel this way.  The people that think this way.  Also you seem to be answering your own questions, but the part where you say BTC is driven by price speculation, you must not be keeping up with current events.  I advise you too google CME Group bitcoin futures so you can learn what that is.
2378  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: future about Bitcoin on: November 02, 2017, 05:33:09 PM
Bitcoin made history yesterday when CME group introduce Bitcoin Futures where there investors at wall street can invest in bitcoin without purchasing bitcoin.  So volatility of bitcoin will become a stable one and it will be safer for investors.  The doors are open now and from there, things will get much better.  We will have less speculators now then we did before.

Hi Everyone
Just wanted to make a clarification on the banned websites and on what happens to funds of banned websites.
When we ban a website we do not leave the funds from your accounts for ourselves.
Instead we refund these money to our advertisers
The refund is effected automatically by our system as soon as a publisher was banned.
Those advertisers, who had ads shown on this particular website or had clicks made from the website that was banned will be refunded on their campaigns.
If you as an advertiser haven't received a refund, then it means that you haven't had any clicks (or impressions if we're talking about CPM) made from this website within a particular span of time.

I am still waiting on a reply

Million dollar bitcoin would be a dream but congrats to that in a month the price has had major swings just keep holding it or if you want use 10% of those funds for trading i can assure you you can make more money by trading anf get profits even faster. My target is 7000$
Bitcoin becoming a million dollars is not a dream is the inevitable, it will happen, the question is when.  I said this before 21 million bitcoin is circulation, There is a bitcoin gold rush almost every few years, but now I believe that 2018 will be a bitcoin fever, we might see a bitcoin that is 50,000 USD, due to demand.  Miners will not be able to keep producing enough for everyone, making the satoshi more significant than it ever was before.   Look at Zimbabwe,  They gotten the fever, next year it will another country, Romania, Bulgari, Turkey, USA?  There has not been a a real gold fever yet in the USA, not yet.
