Current status:

Restarted computer, Armory finally starts up again. Synchronizing, 95%. 6-7 hours remaining apparently. Will update.

It's been unusable for me since the latest version, too, though my issues are different. Had to import most valuable keys into QT. Sad

I don't think it's possible to access the keys without Armory running. You should probably try deleting Armory (make sure you have wallet backups), then installing an older version.

Worst case scenario, I can keep Armory open long enough to extract privkeys. I could give amount in wallet to escrow, then you could send me the .wallet file, I'll send you the privkeys, and you'd release escrowed money back to me (ideally, with a tip Grin).

Didn't get it Sad

Spam him with transactions of 0.00000001 BTC

*sigh*

Where does one begin to tell the tale?

I talked to the Armory representative that works on the forums here, they suggested I download this other version of Armory. What was my issue? Synchronizing was stuck at 94% and would not move past that point. Oh well, so it worked for some time. Until four months later, when the price of Bitcoin exploded. Excited, I wanted to get my Bitcoins out, but now, Armory won't even start! That's right, nothing happens when I click it!

Should I restart my computer and try it? After reinstalling, it's never been the same.

Right now, I desperately want to get my Bitcoins out of Armory and back to the normal Bitcoin client. I wanted security, but what's security without liberty to withdraw at will?

Help would be appreciated.

Tl;dr

I need to transfer Bitcoins from Armory, but Armory won't start.
2388  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Has anyone tried cgminer? Is this normal? on: October 24, 2013, 12:56:35 PM
Ok so I'm used to Bitcoin mining, where I just click Bitminter and tada! I'm mining

but FTC mining has got all this crazy overcomplicated stuff

This is what my .bat file looks like

cgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://stratum.wemineftc.com:4444 -u username -p password -I 13

When I click it, it shows some stuff, then it goes blank, but I can hear stuff going on in my computer, and my hashrate once showed as 134 KH/s then went back to 0

and hasn't moved since

is this normal?

Did you make a cgminer.conf file?

Nope, why was I supposed to have one?

Yes, it searches for a cgminer.conf file to run off of bat file. Otherwise, you can run cgminer in the cmd line.

Can you please help me figure out if I'm actually mining FTC?

Thanks so much guys! <3
Tip me when you mine some Tongue

Absolutely, I'm all for communism, so sharing is caring!

Keep in mind though, I'm just a gambler using a spare laptop, not a dedicated miner.

Based on individual computer specifications

Bitcoin mining is now 0.3 cents per day for me  Angry

Also, I'll mine using my GPU

Is there some sort of calculator to check what's best?

PLEASE HELP! Smiley
It's appreciated
2394  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: All my bitcoins locked in armory forever, how do I pull them out? on: October 24, 2013, 04:15:34 AM
Maan, that's the least of my concerns now. It's time to sell BTC and armory won't even open anymore..  Cry  Angry  Huh

I double click the executable and nothing happens. Think I need to reinstall?
2395  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: All my bitcoins locked in armory forever, how do I pull them out? on: October 21, 2013, 10:14:57 PM
Whoa thanks! It worked!

There's one more problem though

This is my wallet
http://blockchain.info/address/12vARzQRPwUf19sCGUNUYasBK1kYu3F3xw

How come it shows "Final Balance   0.10084735 BTC" on there but on armory it says spendable funds are 0.0857 BTC?

Anti dust measures added to Qt, maybe?

That is stupid. Ate like 15% of my total wallet. That's worse than any tax.

2397  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: PLEASE Backup your wallet! A Paper Backup is *Forever*! on: October 21, 2013, 12:46:10 AM
If you have no backup or only a digital backup, and you get hit by a bus, your family will not be able to recover your coins -- they will be lost forever.

Lmao

That's the informal fallacy of accident
2398  Bitcoin / Armory / All my bitcoins locked in armory forever, how do I pull them out? on: October 20, 2013, 02:54:07 PM
I used to gamble with Bitcoin back in the day (because there are no laws that prevent minors from gambling with Bitcoin Cheesy)

I put all my Bitcoins in an armory wallet, that I encrypted, and now it's locked in there :@:@

Please don't misunderstand, I have my paper backup and passphrase, I'm not locked out in that sense. You see, when I open armory, either it shows Armory is offline, or if I start it with "skip online check" it does "scanning transaction history" and gets so damn laggy. How do I pull my coins out of armory, I just realized there is no good reason for me to be using armory, the Bitcoin client loads faster and has encryption too.

tl;dr - All coins in armory, got passphrase and paper backup, but can't open the wallet.

Anyone that helps me will get 10 cents worth of BTC. Thanks.

2400  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BFL only works for mining bitcoins? on: June 04, 2013, 07:45:08 AM
BFL will use your money to make their own chips that will be utilized in mining for themselves, then when the difficulty becomes too high, they'll send you the trash you ordered.
