Well seing as you posted a link to the gun robbery then I assume you mean protecting yourself when selling BTC in person? If so, then the answer is simple. Always keep to a public place. Don't make the mistake this guy did and be persuaded to follow him to his car or any private area for that matter. If you're in public then you're almost entirely safe.

Do these work in store seeing as they are only the digital code and because there is no physical card to swipe? If they do, then I'll be quite interested!

How did you get this code? Do you have proof of purchase? I'd be interested, but I'd insist on using Escrow and only releasing once I receive the goods that I order.

This really just seems like one of those NXT promoting threads. Yes, the Bitcoin Qt is slow... That doesn't necessarily mean anything bad about Bitcoin. Maybe your computer just isn't good enough to handle its sheer power Truthfully though, you can use plenty of clients for your BTC other than just the Qt. There are plenty off on and offline clients that work fine and have no safety issues should you follow all the recommended safety steps. Anyhow, enjoy the NXT.

I am currently trying to work out something to get someone from the US to distribute the bars, so we can bring down that shipping cost of 25$ to hopefully something like 5$.
Where will you be shipping from? How much would the difference be between shipping to the U.S. And shipping to the UK? When will you have a price in mind of the actual bar? If the price isn't too high, I'd like bar #95. Thanks

There were gold Kialaras? What do they look like? Is the design the same as the previous edition just with a gold casing or was it a revamped limited edition? I'd love to see some pictures of possible

What does the extra Karma do exactly? I've seen a lot of accounts for sale refer boy but don't see what the point is of buying a ready made one if there's no advantage to having the extra comment and link karma.

I know that there are a few trustable members in here who buy BTC and LTC often for PayPal. Other than selling to them I'd be extremely cautious. Escrow doesn't work in this case as the transactions can be reversed and disputed long after the initial agreement.

Great to see you making another group buy. For those who have any doubts (although there should be any) the last one I participated was extreme to easy and smooth. Mitchell organised everything to the last detail and there were no issues whatsoever. He's a great and reputable guy!
I'm thinking about the 2015 edition but I'm in two minds... I really need to stop buying coins...

This has been discussed quite a few times on other sites and newspapers. I remember a user coming on here trying to sell antiques from Syria with Arabian origins. Many thought that it was an antique stolen by ISIS from one of the museums in Syria although it could have just been a troll/fake. Either way, ISIS are using Bitcoin to hide the flows of their inbound and outbound cash flows to prevent both themselves and their supporters being traced.

I assume by dump you mean store as in long term? Paper wallets can be safe but it all depends on how you make them. It's best to use an offline generator with an offline computer. Make sure whatever code you're running is clean and has no back doors. Bitcoinpaperwallet has a tutorial on its site for creating safe offline wallets. Just to be extra safe, I'd distribute my BTC over a few paper wallets to prevent losing them from theft, hacks (if the private key was compromised), damage and theft/loss of the paper wallet. As long as you keep them safe and you know where they are, you can't really go wrong.

How long does shipping take from where you are to New York? I'll be in New York in early July so I'll maybe order some to where I'm staying as long as it would get there in time before I leave.

I think it's just a phishing page where whatever you input into the text boxes will automatically be sent to the page owner. Even if you proceed without entering any information, you will be redirected to the actual user profile as I assume that's what the redirect address is once you click proceed. I'm lucky I was alert and paying attention to the link. I have an address that I can prove account ownership from, but the hassle would have been far too annoying. I guess we all just need to stay alert. Scammers are adapting. Adaptation can sometimes suck

This thread should really be moved to the auction sub. Alternatively, instead of users bidding each other up, send the OP a concrete offer via PM and go from there. Unless OP has a rough price in mind and states that price OBO in the OP then this thread is in essence an auction. In either case, I suggest only going ahead with this transaction if escrow is involved.

This is one of the downsides in BTC. Coins are quite hard to chase and to match up to the owners meaning people can often get away with doing anything. The hackers could easily use a mixer to 'hide' the 'tainted' coins and then use a few exchanges and gambling sites to clean the coins. Eventually there'd be no concrete evidence who the extortionists are...

Well there's quite a gap between 10-50 thousand but anyway, both figures are quite good! I've been wondering how they calculate app downloads. I often delete an app only to re-download it a few weeks later. Does that count as a new download or not? I guess that could account for quite a few downloads if that is the case.

This question is always asked by new members on here. Thee truth is, it's actually very simple. If you have any skills then offer them in the services section. Do some work and earn BTC the hard way. While you're doing that, you can build up your account with quality posts and then earn some extra BTC on the side with a signature campaign. There's no one simple quick get rich scheme to earning BTC. It has to be done the fair and hard way...

Almost everyone want a high end expensive watch such as a Rolex, Patek, Omega, Breitling etc but their prices are just simply unaffordable. I think that on the forum you're more likely to make smaller sales and that people would prefer lower value watches. I for one like simple and slim watches. I personally prefer elegance but I'm adamant on the watch being slim. You can get decent and nice looking watches for about £250-£500. Selling a high value watch on here would be difficult for many reasons. When buying a watch like that, people would usually do it in person when they can see the watch on their wrist.

Do the physical Litecoins come with a COA from Smoothie? Were they funded by you or the person you bought them off or did Smoothie fund them himself? If these were funded by Smoothie, I'd take the last one if we can sort out a good price

This is comical and I like your style! What methods do you use for the comics? If there is long enough a story to tell (based on the limited information and the little that we know about satoshi) then perhaps an actual paperback book can be made and sold.
