Manchester United now i line and contact for Harry Kane, how true is this ?

Reportedly, Tottenham is waiting for Man United to bid for Harry Kane. Maybe this is Tottenham's strategy to get Man City to buy Harry Kane for £160 million or at least close to that price. In my opinion, Man United will not be interested in signing Harry Kane with the price offered by Tottenham, other than that what Man United needs more is a defender.

I don't think at all that they would go for a major signing above 100m Euro given that they already made the Sancho deal done at 90 m Euro. I can understand them going for targets at 50-60 m Euro range but above 100m Euro I hardly think they would go for unless they sell player like Pogba or someone.

Spurs are very likely to keep Kane this season and that hasn't changed. If Kane pushes for transfer again and is adamant on switch to different team then things might change and Spurs might consider City offer. There is lot of time in transfer window so yeah lot of time to work this out.

https://www.marca.com/futbol/liga-francesa/2021/07/22/60f8296446163f011e8b45ee.html

Marca says that Kylian Mbappe has rejected PSG's last contract offer. He really wants to go to Real Madrid now. And Real Madrid also want to finish this deal without having a problem. On the other hand, PSG don't want to lose him. He has only one year left on his contract. I wonder how this will end.

I hope that from now on PSG will start looking for a player to replace Mbappe, when a player wants to leave a certain team and can't, he starts not having good performance and focus, the right thing would be to let him go to real madrid, and honestly, as a real madrid fan, I would be very happy with Mbappe playing in real madrid because it would bring more contributions to the team and we could win the la liga and champions league if we have zidane as coach, with this new coach I still don't think this season can expect a lot of good stuff from real madrid

Everyone wants a change and try some other league to develop especially young players. Mbappe has lot of years to play and he is already enjoying his status as a pacy striker. Lot of clubs are interested in him and the current club are interested in keeping him tied with them but you can't change things when player wants to try something different. Better sell him off rather than to try against his wishes and eventually send him on free transfer and lose the fee.

I think its time to think about it unless they don't mind to lose him on free transfer and keep on trying.

https://www.footballinsider247.com/sources-grealish-move-from-aston-villa-to-man-city-edges-closer/

This source says that Manchester City have reached an agreement with Jack Grealish. And they are ready to offer a sum around £90m for him. The 25-year-old player got really decent statistics in the last season at Aston Villa. He scored 6 goals and made 12 assists in 26 EPL games. It was enough to draw City's attention to buy him.

City are making an effort to sign Harry Kane also. And it looks like they are preparing to make an offer between £120m and £160m for Kane. Do they really have this much money right now? It looks like they have.  Grin

That's a great signing for City. Never thought it would be that easy and inch this close in just a short time. Here is a fun fact about him: He was the most fouled player last season in PL and he is right now the most fouled player in Europe last season. 110 times in PL and that goes to show how he is too hot to handle for opponents defence in PL.

Regarding the other, I mean Kane one, I expect Spurs to keep on dragging until the transfer window end.

Manchester United anticipate a formal approach from Paris St-Germain this summer for France midfielder Paul Pogba. Where Pogba will finally go? The saga around him really lasts too long.

I also saw those reports about PSG interests on Pogba and upon watching that I was like "still doing transfers?, just stop already you got everything with recent transfers what more do you want?". He has denied new contract being offered so yeah likely that he is gonna go there in his country playing for the best club in there. Also United will also be happy offloading one of the CDM's in which they have good density. So IMO its a win for United.

In other news related, it seems PSG fans don't want him at the club: https://metro.co.uk/2021/07/24/paris-saint-german-fans-hang-anti-paul-pogba-banner-outside-parc-des-princes-14982955/

Arsenal planning to bid 40 mil pounds and 130k weekly wages to Tammy Abraham? As John Henry would say - what are they smoking there at the Emirates?

When I started watching football, Arsenal was a synonym for a club with smart transfer policy, finding bargains on the market and turning them into superstars. After Wenger left, they are totally lost and are making one mistake after another. Chelsea must be laughing right now, Abraham is decent, but this is definitely overkill.
I hope this is a mere speculation of Arsenal bidding for Tammy Abraham because I don't see any quality this guy will add into that squad, he is no different from Nketiah can he play like Alexandre Lacazette? with the kind of strength, zeal and ruggedness whom Arsenal is refusing to offer a contract extension offloading Lacazette for Abraham is absolutely making a wrong choice of signing Edu and Arteta are making a mockery of transfer policy of Arsenal by paying him mouth watering offer of 130K weekly the same mistake they did with the signing of out of form Willian last season is about to be repeated again.
Youngsters nurturing which is synonymous with Arsenal had been jettisoned and abandoned since the departure of Arsene Wenger which I completely agreed with you.

I don't see Abraham that bad but yeah with that age and how the last season went I also have some doubts over Abraham signing. Still it would be great if they can have him through loan instead of permanent transfer with buyout clause and try him out for one season. If he plays good then sign him or just let him go back to Chelsea. I can see why they are trying for him. They want to have some young gun as Lacazette has reached 30's and they need someone to replace but it would be a huge gamble. It could help them or could become disaster for them.

Also don't forget that Abraham had a good season in 18-19 (I guess) but that was championship but then in next season he scored 15 for Chelsea as well. He is a good talent but need chances IMO.

Regarding youngsters not being given chances, how about Emiliano Smith Rowe, or Saka or Tierny? They have got lot of first team chances in last season and have delivered as expected. I don't know about other managers before Arteta but things are changing under Arteta. About Nketiah that is one who isn't being given chances after being bought but maybe according to manager he is not ready yet.

Chelsea are moving from Haaland and now they are focusing on Inter Milan officials Belgian striker, Romelu Lukaku, if any club wants to sign him this summer.
Romelu Lukaku had a great season at Inter & has become a valuable team member there. I don't see why he would want to leave in a hurry for the English Premier League at the calling of Chelsea, this move won't happen.

I also think that is a rumour as after the Serie A season end Conte left but Lukaku confirmed that he will stay despite leaving of Conte. Guess reporters are just making something up out of thin air to get some views. Chelsea were also reported to be interested in Lewandowski. Nothing is moving yet but it is clear that Chelsea are interested in a proper striker.

only case that might make Inter think about selling Lukaku, is the arrival of an offer exceeding 120 million euros.
Money talks,  stories walk! If Chelsea are ready to spend this much which is unlikely, Lukaku will be at Stamford.

Yeah possible but I find it hard that Chelsea will spend that much considering there are much better options to get in that position.

^  Yup.  Pep should prolly look for a cheaper alternative for Kane cos Daniel Levy is a shrewd businessman even if he wanted to let go of Kane.  What more when he wants to hold him..?  Maybe he’s just making City think he doesn’t want to sell so he could squeeze every penny.  Grin

But I think I good cheaper alternative for Kane and a somewhat upgrade for Jesus is Danny Ings.

Yeah could be possible with a money like around 150 + million Euro you can get very good players and build a good squad at the expense of one striker who will hit 30 after 2-3 years. The thing is will City take the bait. BTW earlier offer of 100+ player wasn't that bad for Spurs as well.

Yeah Danny Ings will be a good one. He is a very good striker of the ball and is very good in finding spaces.

Its still just a conflicting news about Harry Kane's move to Manchester City.
The Sun newspaper is tge one that confirmed a deal is settled and City will pay £160 million.
On the other hand The Athletic confirmed that the London club will not sell Harry this summer at any price!!
In my opinion its true that City needs a striker this to be realistic, but the unrealistic is to sell Spurs, the best striker in the league, to a competitor with them in the league.
And personally I don't want to see Kane in Man City because they will be a perfect team and the league is going to be boring a one side dominating the whole league while other 5-6 teams battle for tge remaining UCL seats.

Guess then they are just making news only and no confirmed one. I also watched some articles saying City made 160m Euro bid and others saying 160m tag is a bit too much and City are backing off. Here is the status of the Kane-City-Spurs drama from a credible transfer reporter Romano: https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1418526418141696000

It will be a good long race with Spurs denying bids and City trying to make something in order to get Kane. Glad after Sancho-United- Dortmund drama we have something next to enjoy and talk about.  Cheesy

Messi can play well in next 2 to 3 seasons but he won't be able to carry Barcelona on his shoulders and bring them to win titles with his goals or assists. His contribution will be big as usual but the team have to work more and should not rely on Messi in important matches. He might score goals or make great assists to help Barcelona win matches but if the whole team always begin matches with dependent thought on Messi, they will end with defeats.

Yeah, they are relying too much on him and they need to take on some responsibilities and step up the game. I think there isn't a proper leader. Team is mostly with young or new players and haven't well adjusted. I wonder how Barca will be with all the new signings. Wijnaldum in mid would have been a strong character in mid but that didn't went through but still Aguero and Depay are good additions to the firepower and certainly gonna lift some work off the Messi's shoulders. They need a strong player in the mid but given the financial condition I don't think they are gonna find a good one even if they are considering that.

Quote
On the other side of the discussion I wouldn't be so sure that Griezmann will play for Barcelona this season. Just today Barcelona president Joan Laporta has made it clear that the club are 'open to all offers' for Antoine Griezmann this summer. So that's it, Griezmann is done.
I do neither like nor hate Griezman but I think he should leave and find another club to revise his career. Staying in Barcelona will be wasteful for a few seasons when he is still young, before his thirties.

Griezmann is a good player but I think he is not well adjusted with the Barca style. His position has not been a fixed one and hence has been struggling. I also think he is also well off to other team. He still has potential but don't think Barca is a right team to develop. And with Depay being signed I don't think it is gonna be easy with keeping on his name in regular lineup.

Why are you guys saying Manchester City to be the favorites?? Do you have information that makes them the team?
Chelsea a team that beat them twice and denied them their first UEFA trophy could be on that list, Leicester City have made some reinforcements which should put them in a position to contest not forgetting Manu and Liverpool.
Honestly the best time to get an idea of who is likely to win is in December around boxing day, not when the league isn't even started .

Are they not ? Cmmon. I can understand Pep has tendency to overthink sometimes but in the long run he is a good manager. City is as favourites as other big clubs in PL are. It's a long race and at any point things can turn around in the title race. IIRC, last season's boxing day it was Liverpool or Spurs up on the table but fall apart after that.

There are many teams who have acquired some good players like Leicester, Aston Villa so I expect things to tighten up a bit in this upcoming season.

It looks like Tottenham give Kane green light for £160m Manchester City move. And he verbally agreed to a £400,000 per week contract. It's going to be one of the biggest transfers Manchester City have ever made. And it's really huge in terms of transfers in general in history.

£160 million is a fantastic value, and that's a very high price even for a striker like Harry Kane. If Man City really agrees with the price offered by Tottenham then this will be a new record-breaker. A salary of £ 400,000 per week will also make Harry Kane a football player with the highest salary in the Premier League.

Wasn't a surprise TBH. Hary Kane is a world class striker and Spurs wouldn't have let him go to other club so easily. So a big offer on the table was the only thing to budge the Spurs mind. 160 million is a lot but I find it just right paid for acquiring Kane.

With that I wonder about Jesus. The guy just got his place after Aguero left and has been fantastic but now there is another world class about to come into the team.

bayer leverkusen has found a new central defender. Odilon Kossounou is moving to the bundesliga from club brugge for a record transfer fee of €30 million.

Quote
It is now done. Bayer Leverkusen have signed Odilon Kossounou. The 20-year-old center-back arrives from Club Brugge and has signed a deal until 2026. Die Werkself announced the deal officially on Thursday. According to a report by Het Laatste Nieuws Leverkusen will pay in the region of €30 million—a record deal for any outgoing transfer from the Belgian Jupiler Pro League.
https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/bayer-leverkusen-sign-kossounou-belgian-record-departure/view/news/389805

That's a surprise. 30 million Euros for a young player that hasn't grabbed much attention is a very heavy bid. Its a very big gamble considering such a big money invested into a young player. What if he doesn't adapts into the Bundesliga play style? It's a heavy risk. Although I think he will be a good development since Bundesliga is a good league for young player to develop but still it would have been a risky transfer if some PL club would have made a bid for him.

Among those four players is Raheem Sterling the newspaper claims. Four players sounds like a massive exaggeration to me if they pay a transfer fee on top. Raheem Sterling is quite good as well. I believe the transfer will happen somehow. If rumors are so huge it usually also happens in the end and I am sure Harry Kane will do his part as well.
What kind of deal is this , Harry Kane to be swapped with 4 other players and among those is Raheem Sterling who I think would cost more than Kane himself... if this is the deal then its not happening!

Wierd.. Even City are not that fool to give four key players for Kane. They would rather sell them rather than include them in swap deal for Kane. Maybe it is possible that they are giving four options and giving Spurs option take one or two which is also I read somewhere couple weeks ago. Anyway, like I earlier said Kane to City is a very tough deal and Spurs wouldn't give him that easily to any PL club.

With the coach change it is also possible that there would be change in stance of players about leaving the club. Right now Nuno is sure about Kane being Spurs player but haven't seen any updates about Kane's end.

https://www.90min.com/posts/chelsea-transfer-news-timo-werner-open-to-leaving-dortmund-bayern

According to this source, Chelsea's young striker Timo Werner is open to leaving Chelsea this summer. He would like a move to a Bundesliga club again. Maybe he would go back to Leipzig again. I don't think that Dortmund or Bayern would like to sign him unless they lose their best strikers (Haaland and Lewandowski). Maybe Chelsea can use Werner in a swap + money deal with one of these teams for one of the two players I mentioned.

That is pretty much the only source putting it this way. What I just found is that Chelsea is allegedly planning to let Werner go if they can then realize a mega deal with either Lewandowski or Haaland. Werner's advisor said a few weeks ago that there won't be any transfer for Werner right now. I also don't believe that Werner wants to leave Chelsea. He is very likely earning a shit ton of money and it doesn't that much sense to let Werner go if Lewandowski or Haaland comes since both are playing in the center, Werner isn't. I don't think there is any substance to these rumors.

There are lot of memes around about the bloke with his finishing and all but I think he has got the pace and a very good pace and that is a good key in this player. He just needs to work on his finishing and all. See no one is so perfect it just that the tag at which Chelsea bought him ties with him so much expectations. I think Chelsea also doesn't wants to let him go. I think they should rather think about developing him rather than sending him permanently. Maybe sending him on loan is also a good idea but just don't let him go. Its just one season give him one more to prove.

Navi just won their match and clean swipped G2 3-0 in grand finale of IEM Cologne 2021. They deserved it the way they have been playing CS lately in these past 2-3 months. They have worked out a lot and building the team chemistry which is working wonders for them right now. 'b1t' and 'simple' were stars today but honestly all 5 of them played crucial roles today. I really dont think that Bayern Munich will give them Robert Lewandowski , as Chelsea is a direct competitor in the Champions League.
And yeah it looks like Chelsea is not happy with Timo Werner at all .

Guess before we see something there we will see a possible transfer from Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid , he already said he would be playing threre.

I find it a bit shocking when I watched the reports. I see it a bit hard to happen but since Lewandowski is getting old maybe and just maybe they might budge towards selling him if find a good bid.

Regarding Werner, he has been a flop signing. A player at that position is normally is expected to have finishing and dribbling. He has got the pace right but lot to improved in terms of finishing.

There are reports that Chelsea are preparing a bid of 50m Euros for Bayern Munich star striker Robert Lewandowski which I think is an alternate transfer target for Erling Haaland. (Source: https://www.bavarianfootballworks.com/2021/7/18/22582306/bayern-munich-report-chelsea-bid-robert-lewandowski-erling-haaland-transfer-rumor-striker-werner)

A good target but I doubt that it would be that easy for Chelsea to get him. Bayern might deny it or maybe ask for more. Lewandowski is in form and has lot to offer.
Lewandowski would be a great addition for Chelsea but I don't think that can land him for 50 million , put in a better offer and show some seriousness!

Yeah I am thinking it as more as a type of thing that they want to see if the striker is considered as "untouchable" at Bayern or maybe they are fine with a bid that comes within the Chelsea's budget. It will really boost the attack. A proper is striker is what Blues are lacking right now and that target can really fix that problem up.

ESL Cologne Final and we have Navi and G2 locking their horns in the finale. So far Navi are dominating in this one with 1 map already won. Second map ongoing and they are currently dominating in that one too. Navi are just playing a great CS right now. I have all my money on Navi today. Lets see if they can continue with the domination throughout the whole match.

After the second meeting between Sassuolo and Juventus, the negotiation for Manuel Locatelli hasn't found an end. Sassuolo's asking €40 million, the same amount offered a few weeks ago by Arsenal and in the last few days, the Gunners have come back for the midfielder.
Personally, I don't understand why Juventus is focusing so much on him as with 40m there's much better on the market.

I think they made a loan offer with 30m Euro buy option which was rejected and TBH it was a smart one. To me it seems like they won't be much interested after they denied them and seek 40m for him. I can understand why Arsenal need him as they are finding a possible replacement for Granit Dhaka who is reported to be leaving this transfer window.

Juventus can obviously find someone better but why not try bidding on a young talent. Remember they got Chiesa from Fiorentina just like this loan and then triggered the buy option and now lot of big clubs are easily offering Juventus 100 m for him and they are just denying them. It's not much if you are investing into potential star.
