2381  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 23, 2015, 09:56:35 PM
My last prediction in May for a rise to $315 in June or July and then a collapse below $150 was correct yet again.

...

Can you provide a quote of your post in May that predicted a rise to $315 in June or July rather than expecting us to take your word for it? You have made over one thousand six hundred posts and it would take too long to read through all those made in May in an attempt to find a prediction.

I saw a quote but it is hard to find as i didn't remember who said that. But he said that prediction and has become real

2383  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your biggest problem with Bitcoin on: July 23, 2015, 09:54:17 PM
The biggest problem is confirmation time, which sucks at stress test

I've never experienced slow confirmation except when I accidentally sent a transaction without including the fees. even while they were doing stress test, my transactions usually got confirmed very fast when I set the fees to 0.0005

Well the fees are something that has become more and more strong to get fast confirmation.
Try to set no fee and see if you get any confirmation it is very rare.

I see a good future of HXX
2385  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Methods of growing your Bitcoin? on: July 23, 2015, 05:10:29 PM
A good opportunity is also buying some new coins that are in the market, but is a high risk if their price fall down after their get popular
Every new coin is not good opportunity I done this mistake and pay heavy price before investment we need to check some stats about them

It is better to stay with bitcoin rather than experimenting with some new coins that are entering into the market. I think we should have patience and should give some time to bitcoin for the stability and as we have faith in bitcoin it would surely be more attractive and more valuable in future as the adoption level goes high.

Yes i think that a bitcoin is a good pillar, it is like a main cryptocurrency available at the moment.
All other coins are depended by bitcoin price, check the price of the other coins and you will see it's like they are synchronized with the bitcoin price. If bitcoin go up they go up, if bitcoin price goes down their price goes down too.
Altcoins price are only depending on what bitcoin price, from the word ALTCOINS means alternative coins, this coins are used more on trading because its easy to sell than bitcoin because you can't sell bitcoin into small quantity and the demand of people by buying bitcoins is small.

this is only true about a couple of altcoins and even then it is dependent on bitcoin price to some extent and not totally dependent.
and the rest of them are just depending on how much people are buying and selling them, and a lot of other factors like the devs, features, etc.

Most popular alternative coins are depended from the bitcoin price.
It happens that not always the price goes up when the btc price goes up too. but mostly are depended. So that is true
2386  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: THINGS TO CONSIDER WHEN BUYING AN ACCOUNT on: July 23, 2015, 05:08:24 PM
I see many sellers says about potential activity and i have seen that it takes some times to count them.
My question would be: Is there any bot or any tool that would automatically check the potential activity of an account.
2387  Other / Off-topic / Re: How many Bitcoins are lost forever? on: July 23, 2015, 05:06:37 PM
This is much to less if you follow all the proofed looses.
I just read this today http://www.newsbtc.com/2015/06/01/blockchain-sent-8k-worth-bitcoin-to-wrong-address/
Another 8k of Bitcoins are (probably) lost forever, if no one has the private key of the wrong address.

If you are looking for a number, my guess is about 5000 lost bitcoins if we gather all together. And even more...

I think it is much more then 5000.

they are at least 7k, we have a confirmation from the owner of his old wallet https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0tMXLDVpPs8

however i changed my mind i don't really think that 3M, like many are emphasize strongly, are lost forever, while it's cool and all to reveal that you lost your money, perhaps in hope to become famous or something or to be more recognized

telling to everyone that you have retrieved your coins back in some way(you remembered your passphrase, you found an old back up ecc...) it's more unlikely...

WOW, the guy who sent $8k worth of BTC to the wrong address is the biggest idiot ever.
I always check the address twice when paying for something..

I double check it always so i make the other party confused to check again the address that i want to re-check.
I think these type of lost bitcoin should be solved but there is no way Sad
Every bitcoin that is sent to wrong address is lost Sad

2394  Other / Off-topic / Re: what you like best in Bitcoin ? on: July 22, 2015, 12:16:22 PM
Fast and secure transactions and it's all done in the blockchain. And the transaction fee is usually very low or none. And bitcoin created this wonderful forum for us to talk about our investments. Bitcoin will be the future of currency, if not btc, then it would be something the same that uses the blockchain as well.

Well comparing to other alt coins the bitcoin fee are very high.
I know at the beginning when the bitcoin price was very low(it was very cheap) at that time the fee was near 0.00$ but now it costs some cents
2395  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why DOGE is so cheap, What am I missing?? on: July 22, 2015, 12:14:32 PM
DOGE has good distribution, but there are a LOT of coins in circulation and inflation is high

It will be interesting to see how things play out. Other coins could learn from DOGE marketing

Yes, i loveed the DOGE coin since when it was launched for the first time, the wallet the design the coin it self.

I think DOGE is pretty good for tipping. Maybe that makes DOGE a pretty useful crypto. The devs should have limited DOGE supply to 25 million in order to reduce inflation and thus price would be higher. At this pace, looks like it's pretty far for DOGE to become worth at least $1

What i like most to DOGE is that it has its fee very very low when we compare to bitcoin which is pretty high at least for me.
Yeah, for tipping is great, the confirmation to go to the person is very fast
2396  Economy / Economics / Re: Let's Be Honest. We Are Waiting for $100/BTC to buy on: July 22, 2015, 12:13:25 PM
I can't imagine if that is possible (price collapsing to below 100). Judging by the buying sentiment I'm sure everyone would want to get their bitcoin paying lowest price as possible. Even if the whales wants to manipulate and dump it to that low level, they will also be taking a huge risk. Unless you are talking example, a security loophole in the blockchain, that could probably causes a panic sell.

I have a feeling that if the bitcoin price fall down even more than these days, other coins will drop their value too.

Its been holding for the $200ish for the longest and now in upper 200`s.

I have a feeling its here to stay, and just know other countries need it if they are in situations like greece.

Yes it was at 200's for a long time now, expect when it was on 150-170$ cant remember exactly.
But threre are amny thing that i dont understand that hold the bitcoin price to it's level which is at the moment.
2397  Other / Off-topic / Re: How often do you check bitcoin price? on: July 22, 2015, 12:11:25 PM
I check the bitcoin price everytime everyday, maybe more often but at least 1 time per day
2398  Economy / Economics / Re: Why have Bitcoin instead of cash? on: July 22, 2015, 12:10:34 PM
It can't be physically stolen I guess, maybe that's a good thing. So less thieves in the world. But hackers don't count.

That is true that it cannot be physically stolen but that are hackers and scammers who are keeping eye on our hard earned coins and one advantage of holding bitcoins is you will spend less as compared to that of cash as it will be always in your mind that bitcoins are for investment purpose and not just for spending so you would think twice before spending.

The only way to be  physically stolen i think when google wallet will implement bitcoin, so by smartphone NFC on that way bitcoin can be stolen
2399  Economy / Speculation / Re: Woooooo!!!! 308$ atm!!! on: July 22, 2015, 12:09:24 PM
278$ at the moment.

2400  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your biggest problem with Bitcoin on: July 22, 2015, 12:06:40 PM
We have been kicking the can down the road for the past few years with these issues waiting for the second generation of bitcoin development which has solved many of these longstanding issues:

Bitcoin is not safe enough for the average user
Change addresses. I guess it's unsolvable, but if only there could be a bitcoin which didn't require the use of a change address with transactions (i.e., unspent funds remain in original address).
That problem has been solved too:  You can obtain a new private key for your same address anytime you want to.

How can you create a new private key for the same address?

How is that possible Huh If new private key is generated does the old one still works same as the new?
