2381  Other / Off-topic / Re: What If Pokémon Go Integrated Bitcoin? on: July 12, 2016, 02:05:02 PM
This game has had an insane amount of success, I presume it is because Nintendo has paid famous youtubers to upload videos all over the place. I mean it can't be a coincidence that I see so many people doing it. And once a couple famous one does it, the rest follow as well.
If you added actual money reward as well like bitcoin, it would be even bigger of a hit.
2382  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and me (Hal Finney) on: July 12, 2016, 01:48:48 PM
Hal Finney is an actual legend. If they ever make a Bitcoin movie, its characters like this that would make it really interesting. Bitcoin has so many characters that would make for a great movie. I mean Dorian Nakamoto, Craig Wright and the mysterious death of David Kleiman, Hal Finney as a possible Satoshi being cryogenized then reborn 1000 years later with millions of BTC in his power... great stuff.
2383  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: EU seeks tighter control over cryptocurrency on: July 12, 2016, 10:24:14 AM
EU and eventually all nations will try to control Bitcoin, this is why it's important that Core dev stays in charge because they are the only dev team that is pro privacy and pro decentralization, the rest of dev teams don't care about Bitcoin being a censorship resistant tool, they just want more and cheaper transactions at all costs.
2384  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Anonymous Enough For You? on: July 12, 2016, 10:14:55 AM
Not yet, but it will be once Greg Maxwell and the rest of Core devs are finally able to deploy all that nice stuff into the network, like confidential transactions, coinjoin in default payments, zkcp and the rest, we will be finally anonymous.
2385  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Euro 2016 on: July 11, 2016, 02:04:23 PM
CR7 was nos spectacular in the national by any means, but he was good enough. He didn't deserve the golden boot as the best player of the tournament and that's why he didn't get it, but he deserved to win a title with Portugal because of his career as a professional with great performances year after year in Real.
2386  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: OFFICIAL EURO 2016 Discussion and Tips Thread on: July 11, 2016, 12:56:39 PM
It seems that this was finally Cristiano Ronaldo's time to finally get a Eurocup. I remember back in 2004 they lost the opportunity to win and they were really close. Even if CR7 was injured, he still deserved a national title. Now he only needs to win the World Cup in 2 years to try to become a legend since he is only lacking a World Cup title.
2387  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting on sport = gambling? on: July 11, 2016, 12:30:43 PM
Well you would say that it is gambling because it requires luck, but investing requires luck too and it's called "investing" and not gambling, and both in investing and sport betting there is a skill that is nothing but studying the performance of the teams, in the case of investing, studying the performance of assets. So investing and betting on sports is the same thing, but one is not considered gambling and other is considered a gamble...
Well, I do not know which type of investment that is which required luck because investment itself means there is very low chances of loosing ( only in rare case company you invest with die ) , anyways gambling is not same as betting, because gambling needs sports knowledge and not just luck.

What kind of investment you do where there are very low chances of loosing? The chances of losing are 50/50.. do you mean that the chances of losing all of your money? (stock going to 0). Well then of course it's harder to go to 0 than with betting.
2388  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is the Bitcoin community 100 percent certain that the early big names from 2009 on: July 11, 2016, 12:23:24 PM
The entire core dev team has been accused to being satoshi nakamoto. Adam back is credited on the whitepaper for example, then we have szabo, hal finney... all those guys that were there pretty much since day 1. It's a very strange and fascinating story. Any of the early names could be Satoshi.
2389  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do u know someone who owns 1000 Bitcoin or more? on: July 11, 2016, 12:20:33 PM
I don't know what you mean by know, if you mean know as in personally known as a friend, then I don't know anyone, but in this forum I think there are a couple of people with 4 figures. I think the user rpietila owns 1000 or more than that. He is rich and owns a castle.
2390  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The new wealthy elite shared a 10,000 Bitcoin Pizza on July 4 on: July 11, 2016, 12:04:25 PM
I remember when I heard about the 10.000 dollar pizza back in the day and it blew my main, I was still ignorant to not only bitcoin but stocks and how stuff can high and down in prize like that. It helped me putting things into perspective. Whoever got the BTC for that pizza will feel like shit if he already sold instead of holding.
2391  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Misinterpretation about halving. on: July 11, 2016, 11:55:51 AM
Some say "the halving has already priced in" but this is not really the case, we will see the impact of the halving in the coming months, once it fully clicks in that the supply is shrinking faster and when people understand the importance of Bitcoin the price will go to mars as FOMO kicks in.

I can't decide, Portugal is I think a worse team than France. Sure. Portugal has Cristiano Ronaldo but France has Antoine Griezmann and Payet which are a killer combination. Cristiano is still not a killer player when he plays in the national team, but he can always deliver so I can't decide...
2394  Economy / Speculation / Re: Lose all your capital fast, with MatTheCat and his TA 101A! on: July 08, 2016, 06:21:37 PM
That's the problem, I played the ups and downs of the rise almost flawlessly at max leverage (up 2.7x Bitcoins - around 3.6x fiat equivalent)

You are full of shit r0ach.

I see absolutley no signs from you at all, that you are capable of reading markets so well, that you can sit and sell the highs and buy the lows consistently, like a pro.

Regarding metals.....it makes sense to me to hold physical metals, so yeah, I can take the poundings the market has given me over the past 5 years up unitl very recently, a bit easier. But holding Bitcoin? Urgghhhh...no thanks. Even more vaporous than the worthless fiat that it is traded for.

Bitcoin is Nothing, quite literally.

Wait are you still stuck in the "bitcoin is nothing because i can hold it with my hands" phase? This is how the average 60 year old reacts to Bitcoin when you mention it to them. Are you fucking kidding me? What are you still doing on this forum if you haven't understood anything yet after all this time? lol.
2395  Economy / Economics / Re: What if all those Fund houses dump all their Bitcoins? on: July 08, 2016, 06:01:36 PM
That isn't shit to the honest. We are on a 10 billion marketcap. Sure, it's tiny compared to gold, but it's enough to absorb sellouts. Unless a big billionaire guy wants to dump, we are safe from market crashes.
2396  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: July 08, 2016, 05:49:30 PM
I think in the future, planet explorers will use Bitcoin as the currency for their other planets, and we will become the pioneers of the galactic currency. And as we reach that point, mining operations in asteroids and in outer space in general will be a thing, this means gold supply will EXPAND a lot while Bitcoin supply remains the same.

In the long term, Bitcoin wins and will deliver a lot of gains for holders.
2397  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitfury Introduces ‘Flare’ Routing Solution for Lightning Network on: July 08, 2016, 05:45:48 PM
Yep, I saw this yesterday, I also saw the Fibre news, very, very interesting and good news, Bitcoin has a very promising future to take over the the entire planet and be a better performing means of transaction than any other platform on earth, and we will not to give control of Bitcoin to big datacenters running nodes thanks to technologies like this.
2398  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is going on with this transaction ? on: July 06, 2016, 04:15:49 PM
That's a double spend, it will never confirm.

I don't understand. How can double spends happen? Wasn't this solved already and it was impossible for this to happen? Or is it normal that it can happen sometimes and it is a success that the bitcoin network can identify that this is going on and automatically reject it as a double spend?
How can I learn how does this work in layman's terms? cause im not a coder.
2399  Economy / Speculation / Re: Anyone else is going to hold while people try to short the halving? on: July 06, 2016, 04:13:01 PM
too many high expectations during this halving and if everybody decide to holding all their bitcoins and waiting untill the halving to sell it i think we going to see panic selling and the prices also will be dumped and for me if they believe short trade will good for them leave it as it is and for those who believe long term good for you be assured with what you're doing

Panic sellers will get burned to death because we will keep going up after the correction, so all the panic sellers will have no bitcoin on their hands and all they will have is deprecated fiat currency that will keep going down in purchasing power while in the big picture bitcoin is the best performing asset for 5 years straight now.
2400  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The iRacing World Championships (virtual simulation racing) on: July 06, 2016, 04:09:56 PM
I have a g27 myself, I like it but I don't like the deadzone in the center. When im driving in a straight line, the wheel makes absolutely no force feedback if I keep the wheel straight... this is a design error in this wheel, that's why if I ever get more serious into this hobby I will sell the g27 and buy a better one, but for casual fun its great.

Can you buy iRacing with bitcoin? I would like to try it. I still have to try Assetto Corsa tho, I don't really like the subscription model.. i hate paying monthly for games.
