2381  Economy / Economics / Re: Covid crisis leaves Sri Lanka on brink of bankruptcy on: January 06, 2022, 11:54:11 AM
Working hard in a poor and underdeveloped country isn't the same as working hard in a rich western country.
Imagine working hard for a ridiculously low salary, while having to deal with rising inflation and increasing debt payments.
Inflation in the western countries is way lower and the salaries are way bigger, compared to Sri Lanka.
The western countries don't have big problems with their debts, because they can print more euro and dollars and pay their debts. The value of the USD and the euro isn't collapsing, despite the massive money printing.
I really hope that Sri Lanka will find a way out of this debt trap. The government will have to negotiate better conditions with China and try to postpone a part of the debt repayments.

2382  Economy / Economics / Re: 2022 Savings and investment plan on: January 06, 2022, 11:23:02 AM
It seems to me that life gets harder to predict and making long term plans about the future might not be as effective as it used to be.You can't make rational decisions in an irrational environment.
The world is going crazy right now(or maybe I'm just watching too much TV,it gives me social anxiety). Grin
I'm not going to make any long term investments in 2022.I'll just stick with BTC.
OP,how do you plan to diversify your assets and risk?Do you plan to buy real estate or maybe gold and silver?
Inflation is going to be the biggest issue for 2022.The pandemic might be the second big issue, because it might cause new lockdowns, increased unemployment rates and new stimulus plans.Nobody knows what will happen...

top bookmakers including Sbobet, CMD368, Pin88, ps3838, 3ET, Pinnacle Sports, Singbet, Penta88, Pasa888, CasinoOnline, Cryptoplay365, Fair777,Maxbet, BetISN, Oddswar and many more...

Are these "top" bookmakers really that "top"? Grin
I haven't heard anything about most of them.
This is a pretty interesting idea.Creating an account on sports book/casino will also create accounts in all those various sports book platforms.I wonder how will you handle all the KYC procedures for all these accounts(if there are any).

It would be nice if you buy copper membership and hire someone to make you a good announcement thread on the Gambling forum.Your current forum thread is a boring wall of text, which doesn't look professional.

2 days without answers. I think that soon we shall see some other new bet365broker or smth about it. Creating scam website from the template takes about a hour of time. +some hosting works - 2-3 hours. So it is not a problem to create a hundred of such "casinos". If the profit will be about even $50 from every site - it will be nice business and new money for new sites. Just don`t lose you money.

Yep,the OP's website and his Terms of Service look kinda shady.
I really hope that 100% of the gamblers on the forum aren't that stupid and they won't fall into such "fake crypto casino template" scams.
I also really hope that OP is legit and not a scammer.
Quantity can't beat quality in this type of gambling scam. The scammer can create thousands of similar looking casinos, but everything would be pointless,if nobody trusts those fake casinos.

2384  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Internet is down on Kazahstan, Bitcoin Hashrate drooped, Price affected? on: January 06, 2022, 06:35:26 AM
The news coming from Kazakhstan(and the news about the Federal Reserve) definitely have some FUD value and they can definitely cause some panic across a part of the crypto traders.
Having the hashrate dropped isn't such a big deal, because the mining difficulty will be adjusted after a awhile.
Internet in Kazakhstan won't be down forever, but I'm not sure about the political situation in this country.
Perhaps the future government of Kazakhstan won't be so Bitcoin/crypto friendly and it might try to kick out all the Bitcoin/crypto miners of the country.Mostly because of the usual BTC hater arguments-wasting energy, damaging the environment, bla bla bla...
However,I'm just speculating about this.
2385  Economy / Speculation / Re: Elsavador President Predicting $100,000 Bitcoin price looks like another joke on: January 05, 2022, 11:48:40 AM
The president of El Salvador is a die hard Bitcoin maximalist(for some reason).
I don't know who or what had such a great impact on Bukele's vision about Bitcoin.
Anyway,a 100K USD prediction isn't a joke.In the middle of 2020,the Bitcoin price was around 10-13K USD and predictions about the price hitting 30-40K or 50-60K USD were considered a joke.Bitcoin hit a new ATH at 69K,proving that many people were wrong.
I'm not the biggest optimist about Bitcoin "hitting the moon",but 100K USD is totally achievable and the price will definitely reach that historical level, sooner or later.I think that the 100K USD peak will the surpassed somewhere around 2023 or 2024.
2386  Other / Off-topic / Re: Theranos and the limits of Hype on: January 05, 2022, 07:25:28 AM
I find similarities between the Silicon Valley startup industry and the crypto industry(all crypto projects,DeFi,ICOs,IEOs,NFTs,etc).
Both have a really low success ratio, which is normal for high risk industries.99% of the crypto and Silicon Valley startups end up as a failure or a scam.Only 1% end up being successful and growing.
Both industries rely heavily on building hype and having lots of wild promises,in order to raise funds.
Lots of manipulative sociopaths are CEOs of both crypto and Silicon Valley startups.Elizabeth Holmes is one of them.Theranos is a total scam, nothing more and nothing less.
All those "angel" investors buying shares in startup companies know that their money will be wasted 99% of the time, but they are betting money on that 1% "Unicorn" companies, which will later turn into the new Facebook,Google or Apple.
2387  Economy / Gambling / Re: 💣 Minesweeper.Games | The Best Bitcoin Minesweeper | No KYC 💣 on: January 05, 2022, 07:02:18 AM
The website looks nice and clean.
I curious about this project having an .onion website.I've never seen a crypto gambling website on the forum having a darkweb .onion version of the website. There might be some crypto casino having .onion, but I've never seen one so far.
What's the point of this?Attracting active darknet surfers?Trying to keep the gamblers as anonymous as possible?
Don't get me wrong. There's nothing wrong with having an .onion website.Even Facebook has .onion version.
I usually don't trust minesweeper games since I've lost several dollars on satoshimines a few years ago. Grin
Anyway,good luck with this project,OP.
2388  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Billionaire Chamath Palihapitiya says Visa / Mastercard biggest failures 2022 on: January 05, 2022, 06:40:46 AM
VISA/Mastercard are "too big to fail" at this point. Grin
If a competitor has a competitive edge against VISA/Mastercard,they could simply buy that competitor.
If the crypto industry has a competitive edge against traditional fiat credit/debit card payments, then VISA/Mastercard will just adopt crypto/blockchain payments(if the authorities allow them to do so).
"If you can't beat them, just join them. Grin"

Facebook bought Instagram and Whatsapp, because they were competing against Facebook, right? Grin

I agree that DeFi projects and the cryptocurrency payment infrastructure aren't really matured but they have a lot of potential. However, the vast majority of the people will stick to what they are familiar with-credit and debit cards. The crypto industry must become way more convenient and user-friendly,in order to get the attention of the "average Joe".
2389  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitmex is sending a physical bitcoin to the moon in summer of 2022 on: January 04, 2022, 12:44:15 PM
This is supposed to be some kind of marketing/PR move.Right?
Other than that,it's a totally pointless idea.
They are going to waste a bunch of money and resources to send a Bitcoin to the moon...So what?
What's the benefit for the company, the country or the human civilization in general?
Can't they use the money and resources(and the one Bitcoin they're going to send) for some charitable project that will actually help real people? This will have a better marketing/PR result than sending one physical BTC to the moon.
2390  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2021/2022 on: January 04, 2022, 12:24:29 PM
It is really unbelievable for me to see Manchester United having a huge problem against Wolves. Don't get me wrong, of course. I don't mean that Wolves are a weak team in this league. It is the opposite. They can make surprises against the biggest teams also as they have capable players. But the main problem was that Manchester United performed very badly. And this caused them to get an unexpected 1-0 loss in Old Trafford. A team like Manchester United should be able to do more than this. If they performed in a great way but still lost, then I would regard them as unlucky. But it was not the case obviously. I hope that Rangnick can make this team more powerful in time especially before the end of the season if it's possible.  Grin

Rangnick should be building a better team for the 2022-2023 season.
This season is basically wasted for Manchester United.Their only target is to reach the fourth place to qualify for the UEFA Champions League in the next season.
Very weak game against Wolves indeed.I was expecting Ronaldo to score again, but this time he could be barely seen on the field.
Maybe the Man United owners will have to spend millions of pounds to buy Levandowski or Haaland in the next transfer market.
Phil Jones isn't good enough for Manchester United,so Rangnick will have to buy better defenders as well.
2391  Economy / Economics / Re: If the government loses control of the financial system, we have a fall back on: January 04, 2022, 12:04:55 PM

Who should be blamed for “that”, President Erdogan? You want everyone to hold the Turkish Lira, while your cabal inflate and deflate the currency according to your “mood”.

The Turkish government/central bank doesn't deliberately inflate or deflate the Turkish lira.
They were trying to stabilize the lira, but they are using the wrong approach.Lowering down the interest rates and pushing more money into the economy and finance sector will always backfire.
The confusing behavior of the central bank and the government also made more people to lose fate in them and to sell their lira for other currencies and financial assets.
This is not how you build trust in a country's national currency. This is the exact opposite.
Perhaps Erdogan have lost his mind and/or he's too old to govern the country.I hope that the situation will normalize soon.
2392  Economy / Economics / Re: LEGO Sets Are Better Investments than Stocks, Bonds or Even Gold on: January 04, 2022, 07:33:31 AM
Really interesting article.
I remember having LEGO as a kid,but I don't remember where did I put those LEGO toys. They are probably thrown away in the garbage. This is like throwing a laptop with your Bitcoin wallet on the hard drive. Grin
I'm pretty sure that the company, which produced LEGO toys will find an alternative to plastics.
I'm hearing lots of news about companies producing new kinds of materials, which are more environmentally friendly and easy to recycle.Sooner or later, plastics will be replaced by a another material.

Quote
Maybe if the apocalypse happens, people won't exchange gold or silver. They'll simply exchange lego sets as a form of currency. It appears lego sets appreciate at a greater sustained percentage than precious metals, anyway.

If the apocalypse happens, people won't bother exchanging anything, because they will be dead.

2393  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: prediction betting platform pros and cons? on: January 04, 2022, 07:12:27 AM
Cryptocurrency price prediction should stay in the crypto trading industry, not in the gambling industry.
If you want to make money by predicting cryptocurrency prices, then there are plenty of tools on the crypto trading platforms-leverage trading,Bitcoin futures, contracts for a difference, etc.
I don't see any point of creating some kind of crypto casino or bookmaker website, where the gamblers should bet money and try to predict the future cryptocurrency prices.
Such casino would have to compete against all cryptocurrency trading platforms and most of these platforms are already established and have a good reputation and thousands of users.
Betting on some events like the US presidential election can be done on fiat betting platforms.
I don't believe that a crypto betting website would successfully compete against the big fiat betting platforms on this gambling niche.
2394  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin celebrate 13th year birthday with new all time high harsh rate on: January 04, 2022, 06:50:19 AM
It's strange that I remember days ago I saw a thread talking about it, I can't find the thread, anyway all people's eyes are focused on the price, which is in a very dangerous area that if it falls will trigger panic selling, as long as satoshi doesn't show up every year when bitcoin is celebrated, people will be asking the same question again: where the hell is satoshi. but as i said now people are worried about price drop

Happy BDay BTC

Can you believe it's been 13 years already?

time passed quickly

By "people" you mean newbies and inexperienced traders, right?
No serious Bitcoiner is going to be "worried" about the Bitcoin price. If the price drops, that's OK.
If there's panic selling, that's OK as well.Just buy the dip and start waiting for the upcoming bull run.
The question "Where is Satoshi?" doesn't matter to 99% of the Bitcoin community.Satoshi can't influence the hashrate. His possible appearance might pump the Bitcoin price for a awhile, but this will be a short term impact.I'm 99,99% sure that Satoshi will never come back and his identity will remain hidden forever.
Happy Bitcoin Day to all the Bitcoiners around the world!
2395  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Bitcoin mistake In 2020-2021 on: January 03, 2022, 12:08:32 PM
This is not a mistake, you just regret for missing the opportunity of making bigger profits, which seems like greed.
We can't figure out the best time to sell our BTC.We can't always maximize our profits from selling BTC.
If you bought BTC low and sold the BTC at a higher price, you made a profit,so there's no reason to call this a mistake and feeling regrets.
I guess that your profit is caused by luck and the fact that you are not being focused on the Bitcoin price 24/7.
Being so emotionally invested and cautious about the Bitcoin price can create some sort of fear and anxiety about the price suddenly dropping. This might cause you to panic sell your BTC right after a small price drop. The price drop might be followed by a price pump, which will make you regret your decision.
2396  Economy / Economics / Re: COVID has driven Americans to bank $1.6 TRILLION in savings on: January 03, 2022, 07:07:30 AM
Quote
Wouldn't it be so much better if consumers bought up inflation protected assets, rather than placing their savings in low interest rate accounts for that period. Bitcoin's value grew dramatically in 2021. Could a portion of that growth be attributed to consumers and retail investors placing savings in bitcoin, gold or silver?

The people, who are putting money aside "for a rainy day" most likely wouldn't choose a volatile asset like Bitcoin.
I also doubt that they would buy gold, because they need assets, which can offer the best liquidity and lowest risk.Gold has very low risk, but not the best financial liquidity. When you urgently need cash, you'll have to sell your gold as fast as possible.
Keeping cash and having money in the bank are the most obvious choices, when it comes to having the best liquidity and lowest risk. Those people would prefer losing part of their savings due to the inflation, rather than investing in long term financial assets, which can bring decent profit above the inflation rate.
We have to bear in mind that people aren't always rational, when it comes to financial decisions.

2397  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: January 03, 2022, 06:49:32 AM
It's nice that the rivals and title chasers take advantage of Real Madrid's unexpected slip up. I hope Sevilla gets all three points against Cadiz as they are supposed to. For sure the neutral fans who wants a more exciting end to the season would love to see the gap decrease even more.

Real Madrid would still win La Liga. The lost game against Getafe doesn't matter.
It's kinda normal for some football players to be in a not-so-good condition after a pause during the holidays.
Getafe had a great goalkeeper and lots of luck,so kudos to them for the win.
Sometimes teams like Real need to lose a game or two. This will motivate and mobilize the players to improve their performance during the spring, when the most important games in both La Liga and the UEFA Champions League have to be won.

Holding down the likes of benzema and Vinicius junior, Real Madrid are nothing without this two when it comes to goal scoring.
This is a good reason why they do need the transfer of Kylian Mbappe.
A good team will hold down this two, if they do Asensio and Rodrigo won't be as effective as them both.

I'm not sure about the financial situation of Real Madrid and can they afford to pay 100 million euro for another player.Real Madrid has to get rid of Eden Hazard. It's pretty obvious that Hazard can't play a crucial role in the team.He has to be sold to some other club.
2398  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is really controlling the Bitcoin market. on: January 03, 2022, 06:24:22 AM
Nobody is controlling the Bitcoin market. However, there might be some people and entities, who can influence the price. For instance, the crypto whales and the crypto exchange platforms could pump the price by buying more BTC or creating panic selling by selling some of their BTC.I remember that some crypto exchange platforms were artificially pumping their trading volume.
It's debatable about what impact fake trading volumes had over the BTC price.
There were speculations about Tether being the main reason behind the massive Bitcoin price growth in the last 4 years. This is a subject for another discussion.
Influencing the price doesn't necessarily mean that they have control over the market.
Nobody can predict the price. The traders are just waiting for the right moment to buy the dip or to sell at another ATH.
2399  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin close to becoming totally irrelevant for most "normal" people?? on: January 02, 2022, 11:54:39 AM

Is it just my impression or is interest in Bitcoin going down rapidly? One of the top recent threads is "Btc is boring".
Most of the other threads is mainly about hodlers trying to convince others to buy BTC, kind of reminds me of some random MLM forum rants promising riches and little to no substance.

Bitcoin isn't supposed to be boring or entertaining.
People will always find something to complain about.
The Bitcoin price isn't moving-some people say that Bitcoin is boring.
The Bitcoin price is dropping-some people say that Bitcoin will die soon.
The Bitcoin price is increasing-some people say "This is a speculative asset, ponzi scheme, scam, bla bla bla..."
The interest of "normal people" towards Bitcoin takes the form of waves-it can go up and down.
Currently, the interest towards Bitcoin is down, but that doesn't mean it won't go up at some point(a new bullish wave).
The Bitcoin HODLers aren't trying to convince anyone to buy BTC.
Using a low quality shitpost about Bitcoin being boring to prove your point is kinda lame.
2400  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin collapse or mature? on: January 02, 2022, 11:31:37 AM
Basically all opinions, predictions and "analysis" about the future of Bitcoin are biased.
People like Tom Lee,Michael Saylor, the Winklevoss twins and Jack Dorsey are pretty much biased about the bright future of Bitcoin and the BTC price hitting the moon.
People like Warren Buffet,Jamie Dimon,Charlie Munger,Steve Hanke and pretty much all the bankers and economy professors around the world are biased against Bitcoin and they hate it.
Just take a look at the bullshit about Bitcoin having a high price but zero value. If BTC has zero value, then why are the people buying it?This is complete nonsense.
Will Bitcoin collapse or hit the moon?I'd say that Bitcoin will be somewhere in between those two alternatives.
It won't collapse, but it won't hit the moon.
