23821  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why we must trust with bitcoin? on: September 04, 2016, 01:46:15 PM
Bitcoin is the original crypto-currency, and therefore I believe in BTC. Other alts such as Ethereum and Litecoin are just copycats. Some of them may be technologically superior to altcoin, but Satoshi Nakamoto was the first person to have invented the idea of a digital currency, and therefore we must continue supporting BTC over the alts.
23822  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is your plan to get rich with Bitcoin? on: September 01, 2016, 01:55:20 AM
I believe that the easiest and the safest way to get rich with Bitcoins is to give out loans here in Bitcointalk. You will get nice interest, and there is no risk of default as a collateral is secured in the beginning. I have never given out a loan to anyone, but if I have enough coins with me, then I will seriously consider doing it.
23823  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who are the richest Bitcoin users and how much do they own? on: September 01, 2016, 01:51:48 AM
The richest bitcoin user is the people that hack bitfinex bitcoin, the hacker got bitcoin worth $72 million stolenn from bitfinex. The hacker is get rich in instant and i can't imagine that.

If that is the case, the richest guy must be Mark Karpelès. In 2014, he stole around BTC650,000 from the Mt Gox users (in addition to another $50 million worth of fiat). Now he is enjoying his life, moving from one luxury apartment to the other in Tokyo.
23824  Other / Off-topic / Re: When is Bitcoins going to die? on: September 01, 2016, 01:48:45 AM
Bitcoin will die when a previously unknown bug is discovered, which enables double spend / counterfeit. Or it will die when supercomputers make it possible to hack the private keys of online wallets. I don't think that BTC is going to last for more than 10-15 years. In technology, the lifespan is smaller. For example, first we had floppy discs. They were replaced by CDs. These CDs were replaced by DVDs and finally the Blu Ray Disc was invented which replaced the DVDs. Something similar will happen with the BTC.
23825  Economy / Speculation / Re: If bitcoin rose to $1M, what you do? on: September 01, 2016, 01:45:47 AM
Right now, I have around BTC0.03 in my wallets, and I am going to hold them till the price climbs to $100,000 per coin or even $1 million per coin. But  holding is risky, as a lot of people are reporting their online wallets getting hacked and the coins stolen. So the first thing to do if BTC climbs to $1 million is to get a good storage device.
23826  Other / Off-topic / Re: Have you ever lost Bitcoin? on: August 19, 2016, 12:31:57 PM
I have lost small amounts of coins in the past. Once someone hacked in to my online wallet and stole the coins. In another incident, the exchange site which I was using went AWOL, taking my coins.
23827  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Megaupload + Bitcoins on: August 19, 2016, 12:30:23 PM
What are we talking about? Isn't Kim broke now? Kim Dotcom loses appeal to keep millions?
he's sure broke but he's now trying to gather money as you can see he's planning to make megaupload 2.0,his previous income which make him rich was from megaupload that now has been raided and been seized because he just breaking the copyright rules such a good idea but also could break the copyright rules for the second time

If he is caught for the second time, then he will end up just like Ross Ullbricht, and will never come out of prison alive. He was just lucky during the first time. The Hollywood mafia is very powerful, and they will make sure that this guy is gone for good.
23828  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: August 19, 2016, 12:26:02 PM
Gold because if the world falls to crap, gold will still be valuable, just like it has for thousands of years.

Yes.. and also gold is accepted everywhere. Even in countries where the US Dollar is not accepted, you can go to the pawn shop and exchange your gold to the local currency.
23829  Economy / Economics / Re: How too get rich on: August 19, 2016, 12:24:17 PM
just sell your house and then invest all the money in bitcoin and hold it for a long period hope you will become a rich person, because we can expect that the price of bitcoin will become double in next few years, therefore to me investment in bitcoin is the best option in present time.

I remember someone here had actually sold his home for bitcoins. There is a thread about the process and the aftermath. It is not for the weak-hearted, though...

The OP of that thread had lost interest in the forum soon thereafter (and most likely in bitcoins as well)

I don't know whether he lost his interest in Bitcoin or not. But a few weeks ago, he posted this:

Just checking back today.

** Update **

I am still around.

I still have all my bitcoin.

If you check the original posting from 2 years ago, I did indeed sell my house for Bitcoin, and there are links to the actual news articles.

I currently live in Toronto now, and rent a house with friends.

The price of Bitcoin is currently at close to $700US or $900 CDN.

My original investment is worth $598,000 CDN.

My initial investment is up nearly 50% since I purchased Bitcoin 2 years ago.

Cheers,

Tay More

He seems to be pretty happy about the returns.
23830  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What is your opinion on Buddhism???? on: August 19, 2016, 12:18:10 PM
All these is theory, in practice, you can't truly love someone unless you believe in the God who created the universe - not several gods.

Do you have any evidence to prove this? Forget it. There is no point in arguing with those who are brainwashed by religious indoctrination.
23831  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Donald Trump Vs Hilary Clinton on: August 19, 2016, 12:16:34 PM
Hillary Clinton cleaver than Donald Trumb because of i choose Hilary Clinton

High on weed?

I have no doubt that Hillary is intelligent. But the only issue is that she is using that intelligence to destabilize the world through warmongering.
23832  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Uncovering the brutal truth about the British empire on: August 19, 2016, 12:14:00 PM
The luxury and prosperity we are witnessing in London and the other British cities are a direct result of 300 years of exploitation of third world countries by the British Empire. All this wealth must be confiscated and redistributed to the former colonies.
23833  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Up Like Trump on: August 19, 2016, 11:21:47 AM
This is very significant:

To win the elections, Trump needs to out-score Clinton in these states: New Hampshire, North Carolina, Florida, Iowa, and Ohio. The first two will be the toughest.
23834  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you also think that USA is the biggest plague of the world? on: August 19, 2016, 11:18:28 AM
The Americans tried to invade Canada long ago and we booted your cocky ass's back across the border.
Care to comment on that ?

That was a long time ago - like you said - and weapons technology has made a quantum leap forward since then.

If America wished to invade Canada today, there isn't much you could do about it.

Is there a reason for the Americans to invade Canada? I don't think so. IMO, Canada should merge with the US, and the Canadian states and territories (perhaps with the exception of Yukon) can retain their statehood once that happens.
23835  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What do you think would happen if all drugs became legal? on: August 19, 2016, 11:15:02 AM
In my opinion if drugs get legal always have a crime everywhere and everyday because if you are in high dosage of drugs you didn't know what are doing if right or bad.

That can be said about Alcohol as well. Do you favor banning alcohol?
23836  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Olympic games should be abolished on: August 19, 2016, 11:14:02 AM
Why destroy something that brings so much joy to the world for so many. Huh

We should not bother about the mad rambling from the vocal minority. More than 99% of the world population supports Olympics, and it is here to stay.
23837  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russia's sinking: Spain is now richer on: August 19, 2016, 11:12:30 AM
OK.. here are the stats:

Russian national debt: 14.92% of the GDP ($148 billion)
Spanish national debt: 100.14% of the GDP ($1.18 trillion)

The Spanish economy is like an inflated balloon... It can burst at anytime.
23838  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Azerbaijan and axis Moscow – Tehran on: August 19, 2016, 11:08:46 AM
It was a torture to read all that verbal diarrhoea. Russia and Iran are more or less neutral when it comes to the Karabakh conflict. Turkey on the other hand, is actively provoking the Azeris to exterminate the Karabakh Armenians.
23839  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Kasparov on Ukraine... This man is mad! on: August 16, 2016, 10:12:32 AM
He have gone this way very long time ago. Most of his "political career" is a product of schizophrenic mental disorder.

Kasparov was a very respected individual, when he was concentrating on chess. He has ruined his reputation after getting involved in politics. Anyway... he wouldn't care I guess. He has realized that politics is far more lucrative than sports.

Ever heard of Kim Dotcom ?
New Zealand is not a 3rd world country.

Kim Dotcom is still roaming free in New Zealand. The Americans can't do him anything. The same with Edward Snowden as well. They want to control the internet, but are unable to do so.
