23982  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi cashing out 1million BTC on: April 15, 2015, 01:42:50 PM
I thought it would never happen, if it really happened means he destroy what has been during this time he fought
I very much doubt it will ever happen, did you even read the OP, it's doesn't say he has sold it basically says 'what if' he sells.

Yes. it seems that no one actually read the OP. Anyway I almost got heart attack after reading the thread heading. Thought it will just crash the market.
23983  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin Money or Currency on: April 15, 2015, 01:31:30 PM
It is both
btc has value and that is why they can be considered as money, and also their value is governed by the market. That is why it is currency

That's really confusing. We should directly ask the Father of Bitcoin. May be he can help us out. Smiley
23984  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Beware of third wave feminism. on: April 15, 2015, 08:33:53 AM
Women are scary I will give them that. They are not so overwhelmingly by physical standards but can be cruel and cunning more than a man ever be. Not all of them are bad of course, but that group of women already tainted by feminism definitely is not fully aware of our reality - we will never be equal because we are different. But that is the beauty of it. Feminists don't want to be treated on par with men, they want equality and they want to have privileges of women at the same time!

Yes that is the root problem. They want equality but with some extra benefit.
When they want to have sex, they will make man do that for them but when a man wants to have sex and they will be having a huge headache Smiley
23985  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Turkish Muslims now permitted to use toilet paper on: April 15, 2015, 08:31:10 AM
In my views, using toilet paper or water or three stone (as someone has posted it) it mainly comes from the kind of culture and history of the country. I don't think it is actually deriving from religion.

Probable yes, another example could be the 'burqa' because I don't think it is written or nominated (that word) in the Muslims book. It is only a question about the various culture, and these cultures were mixed with the religions.

Actually it is the people which interpreter their religion book in a way that they feel it's comfortable for them and lead the other people in wrong direction. That is the main problem. So people should use their brain before following any man/woman or book blindly.
23986  Other / Politics & Society / Re: ISIS impregnates 9-year-old girl on: April 15, 2015, 08:27:02 AM
as that will become a usual thing which may result in more violence.
They believe that nobody will do the same to them. And that is why they're acting this way.  Roll Eyes

Humanity should be turned off while you're making any judgements related to their activity, because they're not humans. Animals don't deserve your tolerance. Their execution should be cruel enough to make them think a bit, pure logic and no amotions here. Smiley

An eye for an eye will make the whole world will blind. It isn't the solution my friend. The only solution, we should make them not happening again. As I see, it can be only done by education.
23987  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Bitcoin Advertisement on Times Square New York City USA on: April 15, 2015, 08:23:33 AM

On April 9, 2015,  the main screen of Times Square New York City USA shows the advertisement:"Bitcoin is here ,OKCoin is here,Everything will be ok!", which attracted fans' eyeballs.

So what is your point, my friend?
23988  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A basic question on: April 15, 2015, 08:21:40 AM
So my question now is which coin has a more reliable algorithm, preferably without the seal of approval from any govt?

No matter what hashing algorithm you use, it will be eventually cracked (according to your own post). So, why bother with them, anyway?

It's right. You can not stop it happening. Someone, somewhere will eventually crack it and you will be doomed then.
Better you go with flow.
23989  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your opinions on Online Gambling and Bitcoin on: April 15, 2015, 08:17:56 AM
Well, gambling in intself is just fun. When people start having addiction its diffirent matter then.

People tend to confuse addiction with fun. Many gamblers can't stop gambling because they find it "funny", in reality, the "fun" part is long gone and replaced with a bad addiction mostly caused by adrenaline. When addiction turns into obsession, the gambler is now in pretty deep shit without even realizing it. Unfortunately for some, they only give up on gambling when either forced by the complete lack of funds or following a bad life event such as wife divorcing (not necessarily a bad thing though, maybe not the best example?).

Yes gambling is also one form of addiction like Alcohol, drugs, dope, women, etc. You get same Kick from Gambling as you get in case of above addictions. The only difference is here you directly dealing with money, so if you lose it then it's gone.
23990  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is this the end of bitcoin? on: April 15, 2015, 08:14:27 AM
Yes, I do mean 1 btc=1 dollar.
The workings of the banking system can (and will) drag Bitcoin into submission.
Bitcoin is now an official currency and subject to control. Bitcoin falling off a cliff?
As if they'll let you buy a thousand of their dollars or pounds for ONE Bitcoin.

control of what? the market? the market was always controlled by whales(maybe not when bitcoin started), this isn't a new thing

bank are not controlling any bitcoin, just government is holding those coming from criminal activity

Yes. Traditioanal markets had always been and will always be controlled by some most powerful Richy-Richs. When they enough money and want a reset of market, they just crash it. Same thing will be applicable for Bitcoin as well.
23991  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did Satoshi expect Bitcoin to last this long? on: April 15, 2015, 08:11:04 AM
It must have been "Pot" or "crack" ..... Drinking makes you dumb and clueless.  Wink

Seriously... This is not a person, who did something on a whim... This is carefully thought out... Read the whitepaper again... it's specific, and it makes room for future developments. {Processing power increase.. deflationary features... etc.}

Nope... He knew what he was doing and he executed it with perfection.  Grin

Yes I second your post. This was not a child's game. He has planned every step of it. He might be having a vision even more than what we all are thinking right now.
23992  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where can I sell a large portion of my Bitcoins at once? on: April 15, 2015, 08:09:07 AM
Ok, here's where I'm at. I bought some bitcoins 3 years ago. I wasn't even aware of the account until I was deleting stuff out of my old computer that I happened to log in and was shocked at the value it had amassed. Over the past year i've been selling them here and there. There problem is, I keep having to go down on the price on almost a daily basis. In other words, IM LOSING MONEY. I've lost 2/3 of their value in the past year. Do any of you guys know of someone willing/able to purchase my remaining 1165 bitcoins. I'm not looking to sell them one at a time anymore. I'm willing to sell them at a discounted price if I can find a buyer to buy them all.

* Before you guys berate me, i'm not a Bitcoin fanatic like most of you guys are. I don't really know where to turn. That's why i'm asking you guys for advice.

This is really fortune you found out. Lucky guy. I could have bought all from you but don't have that much money Sad

But I will also suggest it's very risky to put all these in one exchange and sell it. You better divide and put these bitcoins in multiple exchanges.
23993  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Maine cops pay Bitcoin ransom to end office hostage drama on: April 15, 2015, 07:09:48 AM
Normally, a police department in the United States would not consider paying a ransom. Typically this is not advised, but in the event of what happened recently in Maine, apparently, they felt they had no choice.

Indeed, it appears several police departments in Maine had to pay approximately $300 in ransom money to computer hackers so that they could get their police records back. This includes the computers within the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office and the computers at the Houlton Police Department.

http://www.theregister.co.uk/2015/04/13/us_police_ransomware/

They might have learned a hard lesson now. They should hire a professional hacker to find out loopholes in their system who can also fix them.
23994  Economy / Economics / Re: US Dollar collapse in 2015? (2) on: April 15, 2015, 06:02:19 AM
a nice reset is in order soon, backstopped by the IMF, or a never ending U-shaped recover...

Ya that's going to happen very soon. And not only for US, it is going to crash most of all the countries. Just cross your finger, don't want to witness another 2007.
23995  Economy / Economics / Re: My bank account's got robbed by European Commission. Over 700k is lost. on: April 15, 2015, 05:57:24 AM
What was the idea of Cyprus or Greece to stick with the Euro and not go back to its own currency?
Eventually it would happen, it's inevitable, so why they haven't done it 2 years ago and this way they could have saved the falling bank, print money, and go back into growth faster than ever, and even gain more trust by investors than the way it looks so bleak now?!

Why common sense and politicians never coincide?

What do you mean by 'Print Money'?
23996  Economy / Economics / Re: How to save money. on: April 15, 2015, 05:52:51 AM
I totally agree with the original poster. But there is one more important thing which is well said by the famous business tycoon Warren Buffett that as soon as possible try to create a second source of income. Now let's try to understand what this second source of income can be: it can be an investment in the form of property through which you can have a rental income, or it can be buying of shares of some good dividend paying company, etc. But the sooner you created this source the better would be for yourself.
Yeah that is my point in my thread. I said that there are 2 types of how you spend your savings. Your example that you have must second income is my second type how you spend . If you read the thread and understand you must invest or make a business so that your savings will be worth it and also you can have another income.

Ya, true. I might have missed that point. But could you please explain, what kind of new business we can start for second income other than the full time job, one is occupied with? Even I want to do something like this other than my full time job. Thanks.
23997  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is not a bubble on: April 15, 2015, 05:44:10 AM
people around the world are not adopting bitcoin because of those thing in general

1- security
2- regulation

those two thing must be addressed in order to rise the adoption of bitcoin

the secuirty can be done by the exchage(so it's not even a bitcoin fault)

the regulation is on the way on some countries, but need to be speeded up and should be easy for average people, not something like "i need to take note of every transactions" or other things too laborious

Now, the question is who will take the burden to regulate Bitcoin. That will hell of a responsiblity because it's known that Bitcoin has security concern. There are illegal trades happening all over the world and the payment is happening in Bitcoins.
23998  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: April 15, 2015, 05:41:50 AM
Is it better to save money in bank or invest it online, in real estate or maybe gold?

Investment is a kind of savings. If you are doing savings then you can not keep it in the cash form with you. You will have to invest it in Fixed deposit, Real state, gold or shares, etc.
Investment is a kind of savings I disagree with that because, investing have a risk that your money would be lost or earn a profits. Also investing take too much time than saving. Saving takes 3-5 years before you stop to save (it depends on your salary every month) but in investing takes 10-15 years depends on the contract and the company (you wouldn't assure that your money can earn or will be lost its) its 50%-50%. And f you invest you can earn more profits by using the compound interest it can earn more profit as years passes by than simple interest.

Not totally true. There are some investment tool available which has zero risk and will give you return in 3-5 years as well. That will totally depends upon the risk profile of the individual and his requirements.
23999  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: how much can you make weekly? on: April 15, 2015, 05:29:21 AM
when i was a newbie i used to work 2hr daily on faucet and earn 0.001btc daily
It seems to me those were 2 hours daily you wasted. Tongue

Wouldn't it have been better to use that time to find some form of (online?) work, and then buy the btc?

as i told i was newbie that time so i dont know where to get those....well still i dnt know ;p
Of course it is wasted time. He worked 2 hours to earn 22 cents.
That's quite a waste of time. Working minimum wage would earn you much more. Why spend 2 hours for 22 cents? It's not like you can buy anything for that. Maybe a piece of gum?
[/quote]

Yes that is correct. Working 2 hours to earn 22 cent doesn't make sense. We are literates not some 10 year boy selling lime soda to earn some descent pocket money.
24000  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: April 15, 2015, 05:25:48 AM
Why do you think gold will get rarer with time? It doesn't age, its production is pretty consistent through years (actually, slowly increasing). If you say that there are more people on the planet and thus less gold per capita, then you should take into consideration actual demand for it (meaning that even if it does become rarer, there maybe still less demand for it nevertheless)...

A significant portion of the gold produced is bought by central banks and institutions which do not intend to resell them. This gold is effectively removed from the market. Once gold production decreases (it eventually will, when existing gold mines run out of gold), there will be an imbalance in demand-supply. There will be demand for gold from jewellers and from people who don't trust central banks (and bitcoins.  Tongue)

To say that gold will become rarer since gold mines will run out of gold one day seems to me wishful thinking of the same kind that bitcoin will hit 1 million dollar mark another day. It may indeed happen, but personally I wouldn't hope for that (meaning that such a possibility wouldn't in the least affect my economic decisions)...

Why did they not run out of gold some fifty years ago already?

Because there is still so much of Gold available to fulfill the world demand. And anyway the 50 years back Gold was not that much in demand. In the last 20 years, there was a steep demand.
