241  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How I lost 95 Bitcoin on: October 11, 2017, 08:45:47 PM

242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do Altcoins really have a future? on: October 11, 2017, 08:19:22 PM
Even BTC and ETH have not really gained ground yet. Does it make sense speaking about altcoins?

True! Beside a few niche areas and the occasional business that just want to the forerunner of anything new, BTC is not really usable in daily life. The Pizza guy or the shoemaker, much less a store, cannot use a currency that is not somewhat stable. A currency that jumps 100% only to drop 200% the next day is unusable in daily life.
You would use all your time correcting your prices and the consumer would be equal confused.
243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BEST NEWCOMER COIN IN THE LAST FEW MONTHS!! CAST YOUR VOTE!! on: October 11, 2017, 12:07:33 PM
Why a lot of people love deeponion so much? thay have a good bounty programm or what? Some days ago i read that deepOnion scam. I don't know what to trust,  howewer i think best is playkey and hazza

I am also confused listening to it, because once read the thread if deepcoin scam and accompanied by evidence. but there are still many who believe and love deepcoin

Yep I love Deep onion. I did read the scam thread, but I see no scam. The argument in the thread can be made for most coins. In the end you join the community, get free coins have some fun – how scam can that be?

For now it does not look like the dev are running for the hills with a bag of money. Looks just fine to me.

The Deep Vault features of Deep Onion are simply magnificent. The usefulness of it is endless. I cannot praise it enough.
246  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptotourism - is it evolving? on: October 10, 2017, 05:19:22 PM
Bitcoins is a too unstable currency to become a tourist currency. I mean the pizza shop or shoemaker can spend an endless amount of time adjusting prices to the vivid life of bitcoins.

Bitcoins is just not suited for small daily business across the globe – yet.
247  Local / Skandinavisk / Re: År 2020 Coins on: October 10, 2017, 12:14:50 PM
It is going to be Deep Onion and Bitcoin. Deep Onion is the way of the future  Grin

What is this coin? The aim?

Deep Onion is still considered by many to be a scam so that's the big overwhelming question. It is inevitable that after 40 rounds of airdrops that the price will crash when people dump. But following that there could certainly be some very nice price rises if development is as promised.

It is indeed inevitable that someone will dump, and as far as I can see, it has already happened a couple of times…. but I say, too bad for them. They will regret that in the end.
Scam? I don’t think so. Who are those many?
I may not write much, but I do read a lot, and this is the best setup, thoughtful and supported project (altcoin) I have seen so far. I grow more fun’d of it each day.
251  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is Global Warming Real? on: October 09, 2017, 08:18:42 AM
In my own opinion, it is real.
When I was a child, in my home town, there was a lot more snow.

Nowadays there is a less snow than it used to be, and it is getting hard for ski resort to operate.

I used to think like that also. “When I was a kid the winters were cold and snowy, and the summers was endless sunshine….” It sure seemed like that in my mind. But then I checked the weather chart for the last 40 years, it was not all that true. There was not always snow on Christmas, and the summers were not all that shiny and warm...

Basically this, their airdrop distribution in the form of a signature campaign has attracted the attention of an important part of the members of the forum, for better or worse, some think it is a scam and some think this is a legit project, I’m still on the fence on this coin, with so many coins being distributed I think we are going to see a huge dump in the value of the coin and after that interest in the coin is going to diminish, and whether this project is going to become a success or not will depend on the next year after that happens.

Maybe, maybe not.
The new deep vault feature is of great value. I like it especially that it is integrated directly in the wallet.

254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Deep Onion on: October 04, 2017, 06:36:54 PM
Most of the posters on Bitcoin Talk in general sound like zombies. This isn't a phenomenon that is exclusive to DO. The vast majority of threads are pretty much identical posts of people who never even attempt to read what has already been said. There's almost zero communication on BCT and mostly just a bunch of spam for the purpose of increasing activity levels and campaign post counts...

Either way, that's not something that I would blame DO for. It's factually a BCT problem.

I guess that's the consequence of having a place that makes it possible to earn money through posting without imposing very strict rules. But what can you do. This has been a problem on BCT for a very long time now.

DO in and of itself doesn't raise any significant red flags for me though, and the devs seem exceptionally hard working and active, especially when considering the overall state of the current crypto scene. Couple more months until the first major core feature is due for implementation, at which point we'll all know more.

I’m not in disagreement at all. Campaign post counts and such is indeed not something I’m fund of either; however I’ll like to add that the very speed with which some threads run up post, makes I near impossible to read all. I do not have 4 hours daylily to follower every interesting thread (and there are many) and read all that is being said, much less in every thread. I got a family and such, you know a life  Grin

I post now and then, and I cannot guaranty that somebody 50 pages before in a thread has not said the very same thing, I’m saying on page 278.
255  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptotourism - is it evolving? on: October 04, 2017, 12:25:03 PM
Look at it the way of credit cards. You can pretty much go everywhere with only your card now (and have so the last 20 years), still some places you will need cash. But an atm might not be far away, so you can get those cash.

I believe it will (eventually) be the same with c-coins, might take 20 years tho.
256  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Transaction with a low fee on: October 04, 2017, 05:40:03 AM
I at one time send 0.4btc with an extreme low fee (close to zero, if it was not zero) and it took about 20 days to confirm Smiley, but it got though in the end. I will come back with the exact transaction details when I get to my wallet.
So I believe all transactions will come through in the end, regardless of fee.

Well it was not as low as I remembered. I have had two transactions that took a while to get though.

One of 0.47btc at 11sat/b, took 800 min (about 13 hours) and one, also 0.47btc at 9sat/b that took 39500 min to confirm. Roughly 27 days Smiley

258  Local / Skandinavisk / Re: tax on bitcoin profits in scandinavia? on: October 03, 2017, 11:35:41 AM
You don’t need to pay tax for bitcoin transactions. SKAT Denmark stated that already in 2014. SKAT does not regard bitcoins a “real” currency, and thus is not subject to skattekontrolloven. The exceptions are companies whose primary business is trading bitcoin (all coins). This also applies to private individuals who speculate and trade, so that it looks like a company. It’s up to SKAT to decide in each case, if it can be regarded as primary business.

Furthermore income via bitcoin mining (providing hash power) is not subject to Momsloven (VAT law) and in providing hash power,  you are subject to deduction from electricity expenses, - if is your primary business.
259  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Wallets and Coins on: October 02, 2017, 04:11:50 PM
I personally would like to use a wallet that holds different kinds of coins. Just ensure to keep the security up. Also increase the amount of coins we can store in the wallet.

Ohh that would be sweet. Security issues i belive, but it sure would be nice to have a wallet that can hold many different coins.

Any exchanges besides NovaExchange? I wish to buy a couple a hundred onions but I heard that the only exchange where onions are traded are disabled for new registrations.

I believe it the only one, sadly enough. I for one is looking forward to a listing on another exchange. Maybe after the airdrops are finished first?  Embarrassed
