241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hybrid Smart Contracts based on Hyperledger's Fabric | an experiment on: April 04, 2017, 11:20:28 AM
I played with IBM's hyperledger fabric proposal last november and was really surprised how quick it was to set up a fabric with vagrant at that time. Contracts utilizing the chain code was easily to write and verify too, and supports multiple languages too, not sure what changes have been made to its final production version, the enhanced security features looks interesting too. I hope you get more interest in your experiment!

bitcoin is becoming more popular in our country that is why it has been in the list. i know too that it will rank up sooner or later since philippines already has its coin called pesobit which is already acknowledge by the central bank of the philippines.

WOT MATE

Since when did your central bank acknowledge any crpytocurrencies other than giving out countless advisories against crpytocurrencies  and the handling and management of crpytocurrencies financially?
243  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: The Criminal Syndicate That Is Bitcasino.io and sportsbet.io on: April 04, 2017, 09:32:49 AM
I have not use both of the sites you mentioned.

However, if you want to start a scam accusation against anyone or anything, bring some proof with you.

You can say they have bad odds, give me proven statistics of their ridiculous odds? For example give some odds from wizard of odds?

Just because you bought a watermelon from a supermarket which turns out to be rotting inside, you cannot accuse the supermarket of scamming you or selling all rotten watermelons can you? If you want to argue for a refund, you need to at least bring said watermelon back don't you? Similarly, you are listing all their bad points without giving some examples? Like the so called promos? Link some with the fine print you mention.

There are always companies that are unscrupulous and everyone knows about, but even if you want to take action against them, you need actual proof, not random accusations with no examples

Another one is the countless tech errors . If anyone has played this site, you will have many errors they have too look info.

In the past a support person name andrea has helped whenever there was probs. Now there is not good support people and they are part of the problem

So if they brought back this andrea for you personally you would say something else?

Your scam accusation is looking more like speculation rather than an actual accusation with proofs.

244  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Margin Trading at Polo on: April 04, 2017, 06:03:42 AM
This should be in the trading subforum.

In short, basically you have to deposit inside your polo margin trading account, this balance is kept separated from the exchange account.

Margin trading means you borrow money from other margin accounts whos owners have setup loans, time for loan and interest rates. You use said loans to trade for margin profits similarly to the exchange, with the difference that if you profit from a trade or end of loan period, any winnings you have will have your borrowed sum + interest returned to your lender, you get to keep the profits.
If you lose money, the margin account balance that you deposited will be used to return the base amount you borrowed + interest back to the lender.

Do you even search polo helpdesk before you ask this kind of questions..
245  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Studios: the first knowledge hub for South East Asia on: April 04, 2017, 03:05:22 AM
Hello everyone!

We wrote an article about the newest blockchain incubator, Satoshi Studios, and we think its a great development in the region especially to countries who are starting to embrace Bitcoin and blockchain. This will result to more blockchain applications from south east asia and increased adoption across the region.

What are your thoughts about this? Let us know  Smiley

Last i heard Singapore had already became one of the best fintech startup locations in the world, with multiple companies utilizing blockchain technology already setting up in Singapore, I guess there are right about satoshi studios being the first incubator in sea, as Singapore's advances has already pretty much matured into actual companies. Haha

From experience, many Filipinos are going to trash the source of your chart and question why they are last on the list even though "Many of us are using bitcoin, i wonder why so low on charts" haha.

Malaysia on the list eh, I wonder if one single person contributed to Malaysia being so high on that list.

Why is Nigeria at 14 though? And india at 6? Must be all the HYIPs and ponzis along with the cheap electricity miners.
248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What would you do? 10 Coins rise 500%, but i have only 1 BTC, buy all or 1 Coin? on: April 03, 2017, 03:17:41 PM
Be the smarter guy, make a deal with the smart guy, give him the 1 BTC and let him decide.

Tell him to do what he wants with the 1 BTC, after a month, he keeps 50% of the profits, tell him to have an agreement that no matter what, he must give you back 1 BTC.

If he is really a smart guy and he knows his stuff + his methods really work, he will gladly help you manage your 1 BTC for a month, if he refuses, chances are he isn't really a smart guy and he is just toying with you.
249  Economy / Lending / Re: Loan of 0.01 BTC on: April 03, 2017, 04:15:56 AM
Hello. I need a loan of 0.01BTC

It is to start my website. I can repay in 4-7 months with an interest of 0.0012.

I have a domain as a collateral.

What kind of website are you starting?
For a loan that is 4-7 months, an interest of 0.0012 is too low, or perhaps you meant 0.0012 per month?

Have you tried looking at the other threads in which there are members offering loans of small amounts such as yours?
250  Economy / Economics / Re: Can we stop talking about the same shit? on: April 03, 2017, 02:37:02 AM
On the first oage of this sub-forum there are ~33 threads, with a total number of posts to average 1,000 each.

What does this mean? It means we don't have anything to talk about. We're rehashing the same ideas over the same topics...either out of laziness or greed.

Let's stop bullshitting around with each other. Let's stop posting to these beaten-to-death threads. Let's start new conversations or stop trying all together.

Let me summarize and rephrase the point of you making this thread. Shall we?

On the first page of this sub-forum there are so few threads but all the threads got so many individual spam posts, I should start yet another main thread to incentivize this huge signature opportunity.

Let's stop bullshitting the fact that I am posting something off-topic inside the economic forum. Heck , if I am using bashing others as the pretext of signature spamming signature campaign masters can't remove me from their campaigns right?

Very valid points, all of them.

Thanks for replying so that I can reply to get an easy +1 to my paid posts count.

Honestly I'm expecting the intersection of pay-for-post activity and the policing of signature spam posters by Campaign owners, the Community, and Mods to result in better variety of conversation.

Honestly I'm expecting to get paid more by debating about sig spam by using sig spam on irrelevant boards.

Not all signature campaigners are spam posters. Not all post with poor quality or unoriginal content. I'm one of them, I believe I set a better example.

I believe it is a first that anyone thought of using "encouraging creativity" as a front for me to sig spam. Typing a bunch of perfectly readable sentences using good English means that my posts are not of poor quality nor are they unoriginal. I believe I set the best example of subtle signature spam.

Maybe we need to do a better job policing the regurgitated posts we see in this sub-forum every single day. What else can we do?

I need someone else to reply , preferably someone to talk more about what else can we do, so I can sig spam more.

Seriously HabBear? You need to resort to this? I have reported this post to the mods to either move to the off-topic or trash section. For all its worth, if somehow the system pays me for this particular post, I will refund double to Lauda.

The next time you want to act a saint, do so somewhere where there are no conflict of interests in what you say.

253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Automated altcoin trading robot - 97% profitability on: March 31, 2017, 12:08:59 PM
@Quartx we have so much order on PPC it may take some time to be 100% filled

I think the bot should check client individualy and then open the sell order if the buy was 100% filled, cuz some of us were filled

You do realised that the altcoinbot set inital buy order at :    0.00067086
My buy order was set at                                            :  0.00068073
Poloniex order when my buy order was made                :  0.00068174

I had to create an own order at  0.00068175

Same as yesterdays rep order that the bot set first buy order at : 0.00908779
My accounts buy order was set at                                          : 0.00947025
Poloniex buy order when my account order was made               : 0.00934986
I had to make own order at                                                  : 0.00924986

Bot set xcp at         : 0.00354918
My buy order set at : 0.00360138
However when buy order was created, poloniex buy order was already at 0.00362721

Pretty sure the bot is either facing lag time or not processing accounts fast enough
254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Automated altcoin trading robot - 97% profitability on: March 31, 2017, 11:52:46 AM
My buy orders were always set at 20% higher than the bots initial buy price..

The bot should not try to create a sell order if buy order wasnt filled.

The bot should also take into account the buy price set for individual accounts. For example, as my buy prices for xcp, ppc and rep were all set 20% higher than what the bot initially set a buy order for, there was actually a lost rather than a profit.

OP would you please reply as to why this is happening, are you favoring certain accounts or is your bot lagging
255  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Good platform/website to learn trading/read graphs on: March 31, 2017, 07:31:10 AM
When I was first learning about forex, investopedia articles as well as babypips helped me a lot! What you do not understand on one site is usually explained in a way you can understand on the other site.

Good luck diving into trading! On a side note, there are a lot more factors when it comes to trading cryptos , especially new ones, so be careful!
256  Other / Meta / Re: Coin mention stats on: March 31, 2017, 05:50:02 AM
I think you must reconsider the other meaning when you say, time, which is the abbreviation for the chronobank. You must just consider the word time when they are talking about it, and not when they usually talk like in the Off topic and Politics and Society, time has other meaning for that.

But all in all, it is really good, but I am just dissapointed that, senereo, or this amp, has greater mentions than litecoin and Ethereum.

I think theymos already excluded posts from off-topic from the numbers quoted.

Chronobank inflated numbers aside, I am kinda surprised that siacoin actually has lesser than 500 mentions.

With all the measures the dev had towards inflation and other innovations, and the upcoming minebox, I have read their whitepaper, seems like a severely underpriced asset for now, although probably not a bad thing as the dev wanted prices to be kept low for storage users.

Disclaimer: I am not affilated with siacoin, just thought that it is pretty innovative.

258  Bitcoin / Press / [2017-30-30] Major Banks, Startups Advance Blockchain Syndicated Loan Pilot on: March 31, 2017, 02:26:23 AM
A group of banks and financial firms led by Credit Suisse recently completed the second phase of a blockchain proof-of-concept focused on syndicated loans.

The system was developed Synaps, a joint venture backed by blockchain startup Symbiont and Ipreo, a fintech firm co-owned by Goldman Sachs and private equity giant Blackstone.

The demonstration drew a variety of finance firm as participants, including Barclays, BBVA, Danske Bank, LSTA, Royal Bank of Scotland, Scotiabank, Societe Generale, State Street Corporation, TenDelta LLC, U.S. Bank and Wells Fargo. Buy-side companies AllianceBernstein, Eaton Vance Management, KKR, and Oak Hill Advisors took part in the trial as well. Distributed ledger startup R3's research outfit managed the test.

The effort, first announced in September, will continue with further refinement of the tech developed by Ipreo. Emmanuel Aidoo, who leads Credit Suisse's blockchain efforts, said that the bank intends to keep working closely on the initiative.

He said in a statement:

"Over the coming months we will work with Symbiont and Ipreo to implement the remaining functions to allow for distributed ledger technology to support a syndicated loan facility from origination to payoff, and work toward market adoption. The technical and market expertise that the project participants brought to the table means this solution will be tailor-made for use in live transactions."

Work on applying blockchain to the syndicated loan market – in which multiple lenders pool capital for single borrowers – has been pursued by other financial institutions as well. Last year, Japan-based Mizuho and Microsoft began work on a syndicated loan project.

- Internet 100 Mb

aaaand you lost me. 100Mb?! I have 100x that for my phone alone. That'd be good for emails and Idk what else but what if I want to watch a video? I guess that'd fine for 1 short video on Youtube lol. Good luck but with a forum full of nerds (such as I) I think that's going to be a dealbreaker.

I think he meant that his connection speed is 100Megabits per second, I doubt your mobile phone has a 1.25 Gigabyte per second Internet speed lol.

To OP, my suggestion here is that you offer your place for rent in fiat, just so that you are protected under the rent laws you have there in Malta. You can always charge lesser but convert your profits from rent to btc. This way you get the best of both worlds
