241  Economy / Speculation / Historic BITCOIN crash on: January 31, 2018, 03:55:32 AM
let me remind you of this, that this is not the first time bitcoin has crashed very significantly and its not the worst of all crash. (correct me if i'm wrong) Based on bitcoin history, crashes occur on:

2011 jun- Nov: -97%---> From $ 32 to $ 2
2012 jan - Aug: -36%---> From from $ 7 to $ 4
2013 Mar 6 -11: -25%---> From $ 49 to $ 36
2013 Apr 10: -79%---> From $ 266 to $ 54
2014 Feb 24: -49%---> From $ 867 to $ 439
2017 jun 11-16: -36%---> From $ 3,000 to $ 1.869
2017 Sept 2-15: -40%---> From $ 5,000 to $ 2,972
2018 Jan 17: -48%---> From $ 19,783 to $ 9,496

If viewed from history, crashes often happen every year since 2011 and proved that this year is not the worst year of the year - the year before. What do you think, whether this crash will continue or not?
242  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it enough? on: January 30, 2018, 10:28:24 PM
The number of bitcoin is only 21 million, is that enough for the future?
given the vision of bitcoin to become world currency?

what do you think of this?

The journey is still long to say whether 21 million BTC is enough for the future. The number of circulating supplies currently shows the figure of $ 16,836,012, and there are about $ 4 million BTC left that can be mined. Remember that rewards will decrease over time, and difficulties continue to grow. Price will be more expensive. If it is true BTC will reach $ 1 million / BTC, you will need $ 10 just to get 0.00001 BTC.
243  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook bans all ads related with cryptocurrency (Bitcoin altcoins, ICO, etc.) on: January 30, 2018, 10:15:38 PM
Quote
Facebook is banning all advertisements for cryptocurrency, including Bitcoin and initial coin offerings, as part of an “intentionally broad” policy against deceptive marketers. Product management director Rob Leathern explained the decision in a blog post, saying Facebook will no longer accept ads that “promote financial products and services that are frequently associated with misleading or deceptive promotional practices.” He says the decision isn’t permanent, though, and that Facebook will revisit the rules when it’s gotten better at detecting and removing bad ads.

Source: https://www.theverge.com/2018/1/30/16951670/facebook-cryptocurrency-bitcoin-ico-deceptive-marketing-ban

So, what do you guys think about this? Do you think it is fair that Facebook is just going to ban anything related with cryptocurrency, also legitimate services?
I mean, I can understand that there are many scams going on in these ads and Facebook users were probably complaining, but this?

I think this is a bit of an overreaction and Facebook must also be losing a bit of income over this, since crypto is so popular with advertisers at the moment.

this is a surprising decision on the part of facebook, because if they refuse cryptocurrency-based advertising such as bitcoin, altcoin, and ICO, they will certainly miss out on huge profit potentials.

But if viewed from the good side, the goal of facebook is nothing but protecting its users from fraudulent acts that occur in the ICO project because the role of facebook as the largest social media in the world is very influential on the spread of something.
244  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My advice to Bitcoin newbies: relax on: January 30, 2018, 09:49:45 PM
Hello everyone, recently there has been a lot of panic on this forum due to the big price change of Bitcoin (as it always happens). Understandably, many people are confused and worried as they have lost thousands in their value, especially if they have bought higher than the current price. But as someone who has been into Bitcoin for 1.5 years (not too long, I know) I want to advice to newcomers to simply relax. Huge price swing were always a part of Bitcoin, so there's nothing extraordinary here and the worst thing you can do is to make panic trades. Basically, there are two main approaches to Bitcoin trading - you either hodl it, meaning you never sell it until it reached "the moon", or you are actively trading it to get profit from volatility. So, if you believe in Bitcoin's technology and don't experience as a trader, I suggest you to not touch your coins - Bitcoin always tends to increase in its value in the long run.

In the last 24 hours bitcoin again showed a decline below $ 10k, that means bitcoin back near the support level in the last few weeks. I am wondering if this has anything to do with the prohibition of bitcoin & ICO's advertising in the world's largest social media company Facebook. As written by Rob Leathern, the company's product management director that

"We want people to continue to discover and learn about new products and services through Facebook ads without fear of scams or deception. That said, there are many companies who are advertising binary options, ICOs and cryptocurrencies that are not currently operating in good faith."

well, this will be a great trial for beginners in bitcoin and it will also dismiss the notion that bitcoin is a place where we can get instant benefits.
245  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Why don't people realize the problems with cloud mining? on: January 29, 2018, 02:43:27 PM
The reality is, people are too focused on the positives offered by cloud mining service providers. While they say when the promotion is very different from what happens when the promotion is complete.

Average cloud mining says it will start mining process 3 months after the purchase of hash rate, and some even more. Whereas in 3 - 4 months mining, they can buy more mining tools that they buy with investors money. It should not hurt them to give a lifetime profit facility if it did happen.
246  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-05-24]Bitcoin Will Hit $1 Million in 5-10 Years, Says PayPal Director on: January 28, 2018, 12:48:57 PM
My prediction with a simple calculation that compares the bitcoin market cap bitcoin and gold market cap.
current bitcoin market cap = $ 199 B
current gold market cap = $ 8.2 T
current bitcoin price = $ 11,872
$ 8.2 T / $ 199 B = 41.2
bitcoin need 41.2 times current market cap to reach the gold market.
Possible price is
41.2 x 11.872 = $ 489,197
With very fast bitcoin growth, $ 1M / btc may still be practically reasonable.
247  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can I transfer bitcoins to my bank account? on: January 28, 2018, 12:07:03 PM
Can I transfer bitcoins to my bank account?

Already so many people say that it can't be done. Well, to my knowledge, there is no bank that received bitcoin to be liquidated into the currency, which I know, you must use the services of third parties. Examples such as an exchange. Some major banks in the world do use cryptocurrency called Ripple, but for the activities of receiving and sending money to between countries or between banks is not to be traded as the exchange site.
248  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is this the Stable Btcoin Price? on: January 28, 2018, 11:52:30 AM
Hello Bitcointalk Family,

About one month, Bitcoin Price up and down between 10-12k USD. And, it went below 10K for some reasons. But My Confusion is" is this price will be stable for long time?" or is there any chance for pump like before? What do you think about it?
Please kindly inform

Thank You .

If we are based on the last all time high, the current price is a bottom point for bitcoin. Is this price will be stable for a long time? I don't think so, although only this time bitcoin prices are at a low point for a long time, I thought we will see a recovery and then a new all time high in the first quarter. Moreover, this is cryptocurrency, stable is not its characteristic.
249  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin rising on: January 28, 2018, 11:02:26 AM
hello everyone i just want to hear your prediction in bitcoin to decide what will i do in the future thank you

Too early to say that. Although in the last 7 days bitcoin indicates a strong support point at the $ 10,200 lift and resistance at the point of $ 12k. While the volume, has not shown a positive trend, so the price could be back near the support point. But opening a position on the $ 11k point can be said to be a good entry point. Because of ATH while still $ 20k.
250  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How Do You Secure Your profits? on: January 24, 2018, 10:06:36 PM
What are all your methods? you use to secure profits from your crypto? when markets are green and you take profits with you before the market goes down

In trading cryptocurrency, determine the take profit point is very important because the movement of prices above 15% in a day is still said to be reasonable. I often secure my profit on altcoin when it has reached 100% and it is minimal. So I can say I do semi-longterm investment because it determines the point of high-profit taking. Then from the profit, I re-allocated to bitcoin by 50% and the rest are for my daily use. So it can be said that my main asset is bitcoin.
251  Economy / Economics / Re: how can the beggars access Bitcoin? on: January 24, 2018, 09:53:36 PM
If all paper money were change into Bitcoins, can it be access and use by everyone? how can the beggars access Bitcoin?

This is a very silly question. For what a beggar accesses bitcoin and for what someone begs if he knows about bitcoin. Do you really think that in the future beggars will receive donations from people with bitcoin? At almost a corner of the street, is there a person holding a piece of paper containing a QR bitcoin address code ?. If a beggar has become like that, I can't imagine how the condition of the rich person.
252  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finally Bitcoin is becoming normal on: January 24, 2018, 09:32:11 PM
Lower fees, transactions are approved within minutes or hours and not within DAYS!

Can this please keep itself like this permanently?

The waves are receding, we just wait for the time when the wave back. Price movements that only move in the range of $11k and $ 12k make the demand and supply is always balanced. This is still the impact of a very significant rise at the end of 2017. A $1k up and down movement may still be stable for bitcoin and I think we'll see a return at the end of this month.
253  Other / Off-topic / Re: What age to teach kids about crypto? on: January 24, 2018, 02:35:21 PM
If your child is 1 - 5 years old now, I think they will be part of the cryptocurrency era, so teaching them early is acceptable. When he was 12 years old, I think he has been able to digest about cryptocurrency since he was a child who already interacting with contemporary technology. Do not forget to set aside some of your assets to be used by your child in the future. Maybe the next few years it could be a big capital for him.
254  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investment Tips For Cryptocurrency in 2018 on: January 24, 2018, 02:25:55 PM
cryptocurrency is a currency. in fact they are designed to be a currency. for example bitcoin is a currency and all the effort that goes into it is in order to make it a currency. the fact that sometimes these efforts are not capable of catching up with the changes or attacks against bitcoin does not mean bitcoin is not a currency.

regarding altcoins, they are mainly short term speculation assets and on very rare projects they do try to be a currency. none has succeeded much.

none of these had anything to do with your title though, i don't know why you started your topic with it.

Calling bitcoin a protocol that can help the distribution of currencies may sound more worthy than to call it a currency. This protocol has risen in price so expensive that people will be more difficult to get it along with the increasing price. My advice for 2018 is very simple, buy now because you will not see the current price in the next few months.
255  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is useless on: January 23, 2018, 09:52:59 PM
I am amazed with number of people being fooled with BTC:

1. Transactions takes hours
2. Fees are high
3. Development team sucks, uncapable solve scalability issues for years
4. Its not anonymous, every solution to make it, failed so far
5. Its centralized: who is biggest hash power owner? Who is biggest miner hardware provider? Who owns most of bitcoins? What is % of Bitcoins in coldstorage and what in exchanges ( Ye Mt Gox )
6. There is 0 economics for BTC, it just tight to USD with liquidity providers, cut that and try to value pizza box with just BTC
7. Its not store of value, its not digital gold, and it will never be 100k USD. Because it has no value. It has value only for energy probiders, hardware manufactures and random phils.
8. Its not insured, If some crap happened to your BTC, its gone.

Such crap will never be used in payments, noone wants to support Terrabytes or Petabytes of data.

Its funny to observe how uneducated shills trying to make casual office landline phone to look smart phone.

BTC is scam of the century, stay away.

well, bitcoin still tops the CMC with a market cap of $ 186,859,331,400 and with a volume of $ 10,159,100,000 in the last 24h. If most people think the same way as you, this certainly will not happen. Since they believe in bitcoin, more people will buy it and the problems you just mentioned will take time to solve it. It is not easy to change the bitcoin system whose users are 2x altcoins or even more.
256  Economy / Economics / Re: Some things to consider before starting a business on: January 23, 2018, 09:28:56 PM
- decide to go into business according to your area of expertise. Because if you don't, first you need to learn from zero about the field you are going to be in and then get started.
- think about what risks can happen and are you ready to face those risks.
- Remember that in business, there are also so-called ups and downs, don't just think about the positive.
- Start acting, do not waste your time with mere planning without realization.
257  Economy / Economics / Re: The markets are finaly stabilizing. on: January 23, 2018, 01:17:26 PM
It looks like we are going back to confirm the bottom. Honestly I wasn't expecting it to start going down again like that but it will either stop before the previous bottom or touch it and go back up.

calm before the storm
i think this consolidation moves will last longer
but i think in this condition is not good for trader  Grin
good waves is good gain and also high risk

We've just witnessed the storm last week!

and also, this calm wave will be break probably in mid year

In which direction? Tongue
i am not expecting that the price of bitcoin will not come down below 10000$, i think that this time when the price of bitcoin will start increasing we will see the price of bitcoin trading above 20000$, although the bitcoin price is currently decreasing but still we can see that investors are not selling bitcoin. They are still holding bitcoin and hoping that bitcoin price will start increasing again.

The current continued decline could be due to CME's first bitcoin contract that will expire on january 26. So that the owners of cryptocurrency thought that the decline that occurred 2 weeks ago will be repeated. I also hope the bitcoin price is no longer back at the point below $ 10k, because if that happens, most likely $ 8k will be the next down point. Today's chart shows $10050 as the lowest price.
258  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: KFC now accepts Bitcoin! on: January 23, 2018, 01:00:57 PM
This will have considerable influence all the places that bear the name of KFC around the world adopting bitcoin. If that's just Canada, I don't think this will have a meaningful effect. We know that KFC is a company engaged in food and its Franchise has been purchased by almost all cities in the world. So almost no one is not familiar with KFC logo. Therefore, if the entire KFC counter adopts bitcoin, then it will have a major effect on the development of the bitcoin itself.
259  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is 2018 the downfall of bitcoin? on: January 23, 2018, 12:47:31 PM
*Newbie Here!* Because of fluctuations in the value of bitcoin, is 2018 going to be the biggest downfall of bitcoin? What do you think?

You can see the history of 2 years lately. This also happened in the previous year in January, for some reason, the price has decreased drastically. Regardless of the news that might affect the price, it makes people more doubtful, that bitcoin is indeed an asset that can be manipulated by its rise and decline. Because this is not the first time this has happened. But if viewed as a whole, even though prices continue to fluctuate, the increase in value every time is very clear, therefore, I do not think this year going to be the biggest downfall.
260  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: ICO investment Risk on: January 22, 2018, 10:11:10 PM
I just work on bounty at this moment.But every person have a dream.I have a dream.I want to make a big investor.I want to invest on ICO.Can anyone explain me, Have any risk involved invest money on ICO?

investment to an ICO project can be said to be 50% profitable, and 50% scam. This is not an instant investment, it takes months and even more to reap the profit from it. Learn, thoroughly aim, watch the activities of the team, and try to follow the project when Pre sale, so you can get token with cheap price.
