241  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino workers forced into unpaid leave on: November 20, 2020, 03:10:10 AM
It's not just casino but most of the customer interaction based business has followed the same. Traveling and hospitality business suffered the most and casino are just a small part of it. Airlines and hotels too have sent off most of it's staff on unpaid leave. It's difficult for tourism based individual entrepreneur like myself to sustain when there are no people traveling anymore.
242  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An Indian boy committed suicide after losing money by Betting in IPL on: November 20, 2020, 02:48:34 AM
Gambling addiction has been a social problem. It's necessary to educate people on the risk of gambling. Banning gambling is not the solution as it would bring up more problems and gambling itself has it's own contribution to the society and economy.
It's about self control mostly both on gambling habits and outlook of life. Human life is much more important than money.
243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why can't the current Ethereum price keep up with the Bitcoin price? on: November 20, 2020, 01:30:28 AM
Ethereum is a utility token and it has not done much to decrease it's transaction fees and increase it's speed. Ethereum 2.0 could make the difference but at current moment, Ethereum's price increase would render Ethereum unusable. Bitcoin on the other hand does not have to be fast and cheap but still it's fees and speed are comparable to Ethereum.
244  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is an entertainment? on: November 18, 2020, 01:53:13 PM
We should realize that their is a higher probability of losing on gambling and gambling is not an investment or job, at least for most of us. If we take gambling lightly and just for fun, not only we would be able to enjoy gambling without addiction, we would have a better approach to life and increases our risk evaluating skills. A life without risk is not fun but the risk should be manageable.

246  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 4% return - compounded DAILY on: November 16, 2020, 09:23:51 AM
Freebitcoin has been one of the longest standing faucet at the moment. They started just as faucet, added the dice, added the interest bearing wallet and now even the sports and event betting. I also used them as my bitcoin wallet for some time as it's fees were cheaper than most others, provided interest and let withdraw to any wallet, even to multiple wallets within a minute. The reason I left it because everytime I put my coins for the interest, I always ended up gambling it away. Always wished it had separate wallet or maybe a locked one for interest and a separate one for the gambling.
247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are we getting better over the years on: November 16, 2020, 09:04:42 AM
We can't blame crypto for scammers, they are everywhere. For hacks and exploit of codes on the smart contract, it's the individual project and their security to blame, you can't blame the blockchain technology or the sidechain platform just because some developers failed to carry out his job properly.
Overall it's been a great decade for crypto, it has been one of the most viral technology that have take a huge foothold in just a matter of 10 years.
248  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: US Presidential Election 2020 and its impact on gambling on: November 16, 2020, 08:59:53 AM
Trump said numerous times that the dems are going to raise taxes. Biden is also going to lock the country down. I even heard Biden is after a 5 Trillion USD QE which is... crazy af.

He is going for the great reset.

Even the world's reserve currency cannot handle that much QE but we will see.

What Biden wants to do and what Biden can do might be very different things. It is likely he will face a Republican-controlled senate, so he's unlikely to get anything through without at least an element of cross-party appeal.

Biden on his campaign promised to close tax loopholes for the rich and make them pay what they need to. He might do that but I don't think he'll be increasing the taxes for most of the part. It's still can't be said for exact as there have been claims of corruption and differential behavior to the business as well. There's an increasing trend of giving tax cuts for their supporter while increasing it for the ones who didn't supported him.
For gambling, it's been known that gambling tycoons had graced for Biden, he won't be hurting them.
249  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Looking: Sources that show information about suspended/injured missing players on: November 16, 2020, 08:23:06 AM
Rather depending on a single website, I'd google search for the exact thing I'm looking for.
Goal.com fulfills most of my football inquiries and things that I want to read but had no idea about.
Sports gambling prediction sites that gives predictions like sportsgambler.com provides every stats and missing players before game.
250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Yet another Defi platform got hacked again on: November 16, 2020, 08:01:57 AM
To jump into the DEFI  hype a lot of new and old project jumped into the market without proper preparations and troubleshooting the codes. For anything as important as DEFI codes and smart contract, they should have gone with an extensive penetration testing and find out any bugs before they gets exploited. But the project as well as the auditors are in such a hurry to get cash, they compromise with the security and ultimately the trust.
251  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting strategy advice on: November 16, 2020, 07:53:45 AM
Emotions and bias is what makes sports betting troublesome. If you are to excel at sports betting you could just follow expert picks. Many of the top tipsters charge for their tips but these tips are often found for free if you know where to look for. And with that and a good bankroll, you could martingale the results to have a win, martingale works much better on sports betting than on other kinds of gambling as it's not all luck.
252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are we getting better over the years on: November 16, 2020, 04:57:17 AM
We certainly had the technological advancements in those 10 years. We have governments issuing their own blockchain based coins to replace the fiat money. The prices of old coins have increased and is stable on a higher price. The price rise is backed by more demand and adoption both by public and corporates. Fund raising through crypto has always been a hit and miss and still we haven't found a proper way to do that.
253  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers lose more money than win. on: November 15, 2020, 03:40:19 PM
Gambling should always be taken as an entertainment than on wining and losing and you'll not lose much.
Whether you win or lose, you'd never be satisfied. If you won, your greed would make you gamble more and may eventually lead you to lose more. If you lose, you'd always add that up even if you are winning and count yourself in loss and keep on going with larger bets which means larger chances of losing. Win or lose should not be taken seriously in gambling an gambling that much which you can afford to lose.
254  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Gang uses crypto for illegal purposes on: November 15, 2020, 03:15:43 PM
Gambling in itself is illegal in China. Some wealthy people do visit Hong Kong and Macau to gamble while Chinese near the boarder visit the bordering country for gambling. But for most of the people has no choice than to indulge in illegal gambling. The customs check in China is strict and it's difficult now to move money through and into China, so crypto coimes as a choice.
It's a classic example of authorities not being able to restrict the flow of money.
255  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An Indian boy committed suicide after losing money by Betting in IPL on: November 14, 2020, 04:58:03 PM
He's so young. Is there any threat if he can't pay the debt from his friend? Or he borrowed from others, not from his friend? I already read the post, but the details he borrowed from his friend are missing in the source. Honestly, this is possible he commit suicide because he loses a bet with a large amount of money. But it's possible too that he committed suicide because he borrowed from a bad lender who will do something if he can't pay the debt. This is a serious case. Many would follow this event if their authorities didn't make a move to prevent this from happening.

Could even be the humiliation he felt for himself. He could have lend that money for something else like study or business but put it all on gambling and as he lost, he saw no way out of debt and humiliation in front of his friends and family.
Unplanned gambling and gambling with borrowed funds is a sure way to destroy your life. It's difficult but people need to control their urge to gambling their life savings.
256  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: November 13, 2020, 05:37:33 PM
I would not consider the finals one-sided. Though Delhi lost all it's matches with Mumbai, Mumbai was not undefeated in the league. And the final was itself a competitive one as Delhi took even the smaller target for Mumbai to last 10 balls. And statistically, it was a good league for Delhi as they reached the finals for the first time
257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Tezos going to be next Ethereum? on: November 12, 2020, 04:05:35 PM
Tezos has been here for a quite time. I know they gives reward for staking but except that, I have never heard of any real use case of Tezos. I don't even know if they are a utility platform like Ethereum or not. Never heard a Tezos token or a smart contract on Tezos blockchain. Tezos for me is an dead project. Old and useless.
258  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: KYC on gambling casinos on: November 10, 2020, 03:46:12 PM
I'd not use any sort of online casinos that are not licensed and that have the terms where they could ask for KYC.
KYC is needed for license casinos to stay safe in case the government of USA asks information about the individual gambling on the site. If they are not licensed, they are not legal in the US and they would face legal issues themselves in the government got interested in them.
As of KYC as I already said, every licensed casino are obliged to enforce KYC if asked to.
259  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: November 10, 2020, 02:38:37 PM
This is probably the most one sided IPL league and finals. Delhi Capitals are humiliated on every of their game with Mumbai and this one too is going towards a humiliating loss for them. There were no team stable enough to challenge Mumbai Indians and they were the champions from the first day. Though Iyer and Pant are trying to settle, it would be hard for them to create a defendable target.
260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Recent situation of Cryptocurrency... on: November 10, 2020, 09:53:08 AM
Can't tell for sure a trend would continue and for how long but crypto has been a volatile market. The adoption and use of certain currency have increased largely and coins like bitcoin are getting rarer as business and funds are hoarding coins and different platforms are freezing bitcoin to create their own bitcoin pegged tokens. And there are hyped coins which may or may not reach the success people are expecting from them. So, it wise to be cautious and picky on choosing coins for investment.
