242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Crime is getting Worse, what do we do? on: May 02, 2019, 08:46:30 PM
https://news.yahoo.com/cryptocurrency-thefts-fraud-hit-1-211446327.html

In Q1 alone of 2019 there was $356m in theft of digital currencies from exchanges and scams while losses from fraud hit 851m. This number includes the QuadrigaX scam which accounts to about $134m in total losses.

What can we do to help stop these from happening and getting worse?
i think regulation is required to stop the hoodlums from running away with innocent souls money, i think there should be a body that new ico or ieo must register physically with before they can go on with any fundraising.
243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is regulation good or bad? on: May 02, 2019, 08:40:09 PM
In my view, regulation will be good for Crypto industry. As we can now see  that many Govt are looking for ways to regulate the industry.

Regulation will be a good thing in the long run. It will build trust for the industry among the masses thereby resulting in mass adoption. With regulation, people will feel more comfortable and have a sense of security to invest in crypto.

I don't believe that regulation means we have to declare our portfolio. Just as nobody cares to know exactly how much you own in the bank.

Regulation will also help in curbing the possibility of using crypto to launder money and place a check and balance in ICO which will make it very difficult for scam ICOs to operate.

I say regulation will in the end be a good thing for crypto..

What's your view about it?
Due to scam project that are rampant in crypto space a body is  needed to stop the activities of these scammers if there is a regulation in place it will reduce scam to its barest minimum.
244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: weird experince with scammers! on: May 01, 2019, 02:32:00 PM
One way or the order you have exposed your private key which you aren't aware of ot, that is why the scammer was able to transfer the token, besides the token doesn't possess any value you shouldn't feel hut by this.
245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO's Have Been Getting EXPOSED! Finally... on: May 01, 2019, 02:24:36 PM
Even the new system i.e IEO will also follow this trend, if exchanges launching them aren't scrutinizing them before accepting them, because the scammers will start to use what is in vogue which is IEO.
246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty Vs Trading on: May 01, 2019, 02:15:45 PM
2019 has been a year with mixed feelings for crypto enthusiasts. A lot of bounty hunters have now switched over to trading, because bounty is longer profitable.
Some that have combined the two (both bounty and trading), while larger percentage are still into bounty, despite not being profitable.
I envisage that in two to three years to this time, the population of people on bounty will reduce drastically, because it will no longer be profitable as it used to be.
This is not an issue of bounty isn't profitable the issue on ground is that the coin given to hunters as rewards doesn't have good price due to general bad market condition. This situation will not change until the market atmosphere becomes bullish.
247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Limit your participation in IEO on exchanges that you trust on: May 01, 2019, 02:06:05 PM
This advice is good for someone who is looking for pump and dump coin i.e quick profit, project adoption of IEO these days doesn't guarantee the success of those project, for someone who is investing for longterm, its better to do due diligence first.
248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't follow the hype on: May 01, 2019, 01:58:01 PM
I've been here for years and I can say that following the hype never works for investors, this is simply an advise.

Few examples: Synereo, Savedroid, Electroneum.

Even though these projects managed to get the money they needed and much more, they still didn't manage to deliver what they promised. Or in some cases, not even get listed in decent exchanges or give ROI back.

Cryptocurrencies are not going anywhere and there will be more and more ICOs until these things get regulated (maybe years from now). So If you're an investor and you don't want to stupidly lose your money in the process, I highly suggest everyone to start researching about the projects he's interested in instead of taking his decisions based on Tweets from McAfee, press releases, scores in Icobench, etc.
Many investors in the space have invested due to huge hype that surround a project, it is a very wrong criteria in choosing an investment, hype is used to attract many investors of which the project in question can go under radar after raising of fund. That is why it's not good to invest based on what people tell you.
249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum transferring to another address automatically on: May 01, 2019, 10:46:54 AM
Today I have sent a little Ethereum to my address but it instantly transferred to another address. Later, I tried again sending 0.002 ETH and the same. It also transferred that same address instantly.

How to get solve this?
It is possible your wallet has been hacked, what i am sure about is that someone is sending from your recipient address to his or her own address it can't just auto send to another wallet your private key has been exposed to a third party. As it stands you should open a new wallet or buy adware wallet for better wallet security.
250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Telegram forced invite on: May 01, 2019, 10:23:49 AM
So I noticed I've been forcefully invited by bots into multiple telegram community which I never wanted to join.. and most of these communities are either ponzi schemes or from #icos which claim to be legit companies with one or two things to offer in the crypto space..

What can you say about this??
Can you really believe a good project with good concept would forcefully invite you into their community without any prior notice??
Most time this is the work of bounty hunters, they add people without their consent just to fulfil some task given to them to earn bounty tokens it is not done directly by the project team also someone guys are paid to add people randomly from other crypto related group. Not all project that does this can be trusted but some of they can be after doing your own due diligence.
251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NHCT to be listed on exchange on: April 30, 2019, 07:27:02 AM
Since it has been trading for sometime now on a dex, it is yet to be seen if NHCT will be a good investment, people who have bought cheaply on dex might dump it on those new exchanges if they can get at least some gain. If they have a solid and dedicated team you can invest more if otherwise i would advice you sell and move on.
252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is IEO Profitable than ICO's? on: April 30, 2019, 07:16:10 AM
IEO isn't profitable than ICO there are many IEO that has failed woefully than some ICO, what makes IEO profitable depends on which exchange it was sold on, if you observe it the profitable IEO were launched on binance and during ICO days also there were many sold ICO who has better returns.
253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: GRAYLL [IEO] Simple Automated Investment App Driven by AI & ML on: April 26, 2019, 03:38:20 PM

Your project is developing an app to automate returns on investment. How does this really work do one need to have investments in other cryptocurrency to enjoy this or they only need your tokens?

255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO are good for startups seeking funding. Is IEO efficient enough? on: April 04, 2019, 06:32:18 PM
As everyone knows ICO's are good for startups seeking to raise investment for their products. Nowadays IEO slowly gain popularity. Still i am confused which one is effective enough.

Also is it necessary to use Blockchain technology for raising ICO investment?
Form what i have seen from few IEO that are being launched on exchanges, personally i would say IEO is a better effective way of raising fund for project development, but it is only effective on top exchanges.
256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ARRIVAL IEOs _ Investigate before investing on: April 03, 2019, 11:51:56 AM
Recently several exchanges have announced launch pad, where ICO are sold and listed in those exchanges almost immediately at a high price.
This have attracted many investors.

Please while investing in the IEOs don't forget to investigate most of those exchanges because very soon scammers will soon take advantage of the IEO.
You have point but what can keep you safe to some extent is taking part in IEO launch on reputable exchange like binance, bittrex, okex because they will want to protect their name and reputation.
257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stake allocation on: April 03, 2019, 11:30:57 AM
The stakes depends on the signature space.

The space provided by senior member and hero members are more visible and bigger than the lower ranks.
When I was also new to the forum, I also noticed that but I don't know the history of it, probably that's it.
That caused by you need more effort to make or increase your rank from the newbie to the legendary. The history of stake created by the old system of BTT that gave you 14 weekly activity and you need a certain amount of your activity point to make you able to increase your rank. That's why there was a stake allocation based on level.
Mate i agree to some extent that more efforts should put in order to increase rank but at the same time those that came late to the party are the one most affected, you as an example, you have only earned 4 merit apart from the one given to you because you are a legendary just imagine you are newbie when the rule was implemented, you will still be a junior member by now.
258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Time to cash out perhaps ? on: April 03, 2019, 11:21:54 AM
This week has provided good signs already with a massive growth in value of bitcoin and other crypto currencies
Everyone is claiming bull run is here, Satoshi is back and so on but I think that’s greed setting in

I believe this is the time to cash out if you are in profit already
It is time to cash out for those who didn't buy bitcoin at 5k and above, this is not case of being greedy, those that bought at ATH can't cash out anything bcos if they sell they will be selling at a loss.
259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Veriblock IEO finish in 10 seconds, what's your take? on: April 03, 2019, 11:05:50 AM
Most IEO have tried to participate in has never been successful for once, they are sold out in the blink of an eye, a times i wonder maybe my Internet connection isn't as fast as those who were able to buy, i hope it can be more transparent than this whereby people can see address of those who bought.
260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KYC IN THE BITCOINTALK FORUM: April Fool on: April 01, 2019, 01:59:51 PM
Are you seeing what am seeing? KYC is now required! In order to continue using the forum, submit your KYC information

The information requested are somehow irrelevant, and nobody in his or her right senses will send his or her credit card details to third party winch is why i count this as a joke to test some people gullibility. I filled it for fund though without my card details.
