Lately bitcoins transaction times AND fees have been completely absurd. If that doesn't change for the better (and probably won't since they are not proposing any reasonable solution for the scalability problem - segwit2x is only gonna solve the problem for a small time frame), i hope Bitcoin Cash triumphs in the future. I want a coin everyone can use, anywhere and anytime - with fast and cheap transactions, so you can use it to buy day-to-day stuff, do groceries and stuff like that.
Hodling some OMG myself - and looking to increase my position in the upcoming weeks. Things seem to be going very fast for their development team, and Vitalik walking around with them all the time only helps
I'd love to see these guys reactions a few years from now... Bitcoin is growing steadly along with many other icons popping off left and right. And even if it eventually fails, there'll be another coin in place to keep the cryptocurrency ideal going forward, no doubt about it in my mind.
SegWit 2x is only a temporary solutiong though. We're already having problems with the blocks being full the last couple of days, with high fees/very high transaction times... Segwitx2 only increases the blocksize to roughly 1.7mb... It might be sufficient for now, but how long will it take before it starts getting clogged again?
I hope the influential people behind it can find better solutions in a more efficient way going forward...
Would you be invested in bitcoin if it meant losing money by doing it? I'm absolutely sure you and 99,9% of other people wouldnt, only the true passionate and fanatic about the project would . Bitcoin is great but so are many other crypto coins out there - you don't need to be a bitcoin maximalist to call yourself a 'bitcoiner' (which is a useless tag anyway)
Lisk seems kinda undervalued at the moment - while all altcoins surged up in price the last few weeks, Lsk maintained it's price while the devs keep working and adding more people to the team to help you... who knows when their breakout is gonna be, but i'm betting on december/17 or early 2018
I wouldn't put too much trust in siacoin. It has a nice project and nice goals, but it's gonna take them YEARS to achieve what they're set out to do...and in years from now, i don't think what they're trying to solve is gonna be a problem anymore...
Hello irfan! I applied using your form. How will we know if/when we're accepted? I'm also interested in the mod position, if you could PM me the details.
