Add ~50w for all other parts (mobo, ram, ssd, fans) and your core tdp. If you're under 80%-85% of psu load it's okay. If you're above, your psu can act like little plane with it's fan and die quickly.
242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: August 20, 2017, 12:23:35 PM
It should go smoothly. Right now I have 2 Gigabyte Gaming X with 75% tdp  and power draw at wall is around 460-500w from whole PC (depending on algo and your CPU TDP )
243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: August 20, 2017, 12:12:53 PM
Well Max power draw I saw somewhere was around 320w per 1080ti. So yeah, you will need at least 2000W to run system stable .
244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining rig MOBO (?) problems after adding 3+ gpu. on: August 20, 2017, 10:57:06 AM
Well, I've checked all cards and risers if they are working correctly and they do, as long as all are not connected at once. I've disabled integrated gpu, switched off all unnecessary bios devices (audio ).
I've tried without add2psu, with jumper on pins and powering psu on manually but still nope.
The cards got power from psu (Zotac &Asus ROG have leds on backplate that indicates if there is a power), they starts spinning fans and flashing they rgb lights, but mobo just freezes at black screen or no output at all.

I've read somewhere that this chipset use more pcie lanes that is occupied by expansion cards*.
I'm not crossing psu's, all risers are powered with the same one that cards are powered from.

*just read it somewhere
245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Mining rig MOBO (?) problems after adding 3+ gpu. on: August 20, 2017, 12:55:24 AM
Hi guys, today I've just received my next 3 1080ti plus all accessories (risers/m.2 to pcie/add2psu/psu). What was my disappointment when I've connected everything and saw my MOBO (MSI 250m Mortar) flashing VGA led and not booting (no hdmi signal at any output from cards/mobo).
I've enabled 4G decoding, changed pcie to gen 1/2 but still nothing, with more than two cards computer won't boot. Running Win 10.
I'm powering everything with 2 evga 850w, I'be checked all cards/risers.
I just need confirmation that this mobo if f*cked or any advice what could have gone wrong ^^
If it's mobo fault please suggest any not top cash tier 1151 socket mobo which supports 5-6(with m.2) cards without any problems?
Thanks in advance !

Reading about 1070 -makes me feel like buying two 1070 is better than getting 1 x 1080ti

For example 1070 guys are getting ~ on average 400-450 sol - with 1070 single out of box. The 1080ti is getting 700-740 with +150 core and +300 memory.

Skein 1070 are getting 450-550 - 1x 1070

and 1080ti  get 900-990 - with overclock.

Cost wise 1080ti is around what 900-1k

Dual 1070 similar cost ?

In my experience for most algos except ETH you can use this forumula --> 10x1070 equals 6x1080Ti

For example:
skein -
1x1070 - 585Mhs
6x1080Ti 5900Mhs

skunk -
1x1070 - 29Mhs
6x1080Ti 300Mhs

lbry
1x1070 - 315Mhs
6x1080Ti 3000Mhs

I prefer my 1080Ti setup

You are comparing 1 with 10 ? I don't get it.

I posted the numbers up.

6 x 1080ti = 6k
12x1070= $4-5k

However, you'll be getting more speed out of 12x1070 setup. That's what I was suggesting and plus- you save 1k as well as on power. Since 1070= 180w and 1080ti = 250 watts.
You calculated 1k $ per 1080ti but 330-420$ per 1070? Where can i get them, will buy 6 at least Wink
247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Where to buy from 100 to 1000 GPU on: August 17, 2017, 02:07:49 PM
Anyone have direct contacts with the manufacturers Gigabyte, EVGA, Asus..?
Well manufacturers often are selling themself (evga) or have distributors
Here is EVGA distributors list:
https://www.evga.com/products/wheretobuy.aspx?t=distributors
MSI:
https://www.msi.com/wheretobuy/shoplist
Gigabyte:
https://www.gigabyte.com/Buy

You should always try to contact distributor, not reseller/retail seller. Can't find Asus tho.
You could always try to contact customer service of brands and they should be ablt to give you more information about bulk orders.
248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Where to buy from 100 to 1000 GPU on: August 17, 2017, 01:55:23 PM
It looks impressive but I just want to know if it possible to buy GPU directly from Gigabyte, Asus or other brand.

Because they cost a lot to buy from stores maybe buy in bulk directly they cost less.

Anyone know?

china  p106-100 cost 228$-235$
Yea, but buying more than one will most of the time results in paying duty. So depending on duty rates and additional taxes that could be added (like VAT variation between countries or like in EU you need to pay VAT yourself) & shipping cost You could end up paying more Smiley
249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: August 17, 2017, 12:34:48 PM
I'll have my 3x1080ti order shipped by monday, by far i think they are the best cards for mining. Got 2x MSI Gaming X on board, ordered another one, one Zotac Amp Extreme core & one Asus ROG Strix. Choosed different ones because of sale and stupid 1GPU/Customer restrictions.

Leass, have you tested (very likely though) all these cards side-by-side with default settings? I've been wondering how big of a difference there is between them. Would anyone spend that extra money if the cards actually hash at the same rate with stock factory settings.
One of the reasonings for spending extra is relying on the resale price in the future. For example, buying second hand Galax/KFA2 or Gigabyte Aorus 18 months later? It's like, Galax who, but costs less for sure and could earn you the same money while crunching bits.
Still waiting for order to be delivered, but from what I saw, Zotac hashes (lets take Skunk as example) at around 49-50.5H(dont know if it was OC or not), Asus at 50-51.5mh, and MSI at 52.5mh (OC).
It's a bit of difference, but Zotac give 5 year warranty, Asus are kids FTW, and I've got MSI's on board, so thats why  i ordered another Cheesy
For all mining skein - You can lower your memory clocks - You'll save energy/enable more juice to core, and got better efficiency (~4.6MH/W). Skein isn't memory hard algo, and 1080ti keeps memory clocks high even with downclocking.
250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: August 17, 2017, 12:34:26 AM
The best thing about 1080ti is density. You got 1 card, 1 riser set, 2 power supply per 6xrig (or server psu) and you're getting 2 full 1070 rigs with cost of 1 MOBO, 1 CPU ,1 RAM , 1 HDD and 1 OS.

One 1080ti rig will never be 2 full 1070 rigs, especially if you are mining ETH.

Its ~36MH per 1080ti and ~30MH per 1070. So thats more or less like 1 1080ti rig = 1.2 1070 rig (36/30=1.2).

It actually depends on the scale of mining you want to do. 1070s will ROI faster if you just plan on mining at home.
Well, IMO if You are mining for ROI there is a lot of better altcoins (and algos for 1080ti) to mine than ETH that will bring You overall same or more BTC/ETH than 2x1070rigs.
That will kill ROI. Dont mine ETH with 1080ti. Mine alts and trade to crypto of your choice.
For sure autotrading is best ROI killer. When you are making ~3.5$/day but could have cashout once a week and get 7$ per card.
BUT if you want to hodl, yeah ETH could be good bet.

1080ti costs about 1.8x what a 1070 costs, for 1.6x the hashrate.

but there are a lot of benefits to a single card, fewer cables and risers, less troubleshooting, and if you want to game with it a 1080ti is superior to SLI'd 1070 cards in almost every single benchmark

what klondike said + i don't see big crash in crypto coming this year, but if it does, i see 1080ti reasale value being much better than 1070. percentage wise

Aorus 108tti extreme cards might not be the best, or the cheapest BUT they have 4 year warranty

Sniff is optimized for 1080ti that's only difference I think. Can I disable one guy from mining by -cdri number in Sniff bat? Can't test it right now, but want to split rig for btc auto convert and strict nist5/skein mining to check differences.

use nemominer 1.7.3 for split rigs

... did anyone see what I wrote?
Well I saw what You wrote, but that wasn't answer to my question Smiley I want to enable only one card for algo switching, and I'll launch separate miner for one algo only. Just wonder if I can pass -cdri into bat file or I have to add it in every miner .ps1

Is there a way to see all "Hashtap" earnings?
If no, I think it'd be great to show it as maybe Hashtapped BTC or something like this.

Can someone share Sniffdog bat file to get it working?
I've changed everything in standard bat file to my wallet/MPH user, but got No Pools! Message after few secs of Powershell working.

whats the best hashrate for a GTX 1080 Ti ?

With Palgin's 1.1 miner, I've got 47.1MH with 77%TDP, +0Core, +0Memory (MSI 1080Ti Gaming X 11G)
Try my settings, I'm running on MSI Gaming X too Smiley
whats the best hashrate for a GTX 1080 Ti ?
Around 55MH on ~80%TDP with modded miner.
With CWIgm beta I've got 53.5MH with 75%TDP, +150Core, -502mem (same settings as for skein)
waooow u kick in newbie
Well, I doubt that Your post brings something to this thread other that insulting others, and getting post counter ticking.

... testing Alexis giving me a profits which equals to hashrate, just over longer period of time.

Sure 'bout that? Normally its the pool that causes this.
Sorry, got something wrong, was thinking about Tanguy CCminer.
Well AFAIK, pool dont see hashrate, only calculate it basing on weight of submitted share. So sometimes my rig send BIG BIG shares, which got counted as if I was submiting 1.5 GH, sometimes shares are so pathetic it goes to 300 MH, still over period of time, effective hashrate is close to this reported on miner (so I dont see any overestimation in Alexis78 miner on local side, it really can squize up to 1GH from single 1080ti on skein).
260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: August 15, 2017, 01:06:07 PM
Alexis give the best hashrate locally, but it fluctuate as f*ck on pool side (~960mh on miner, from 300 to 1500 mh on pool side).
Sniffdog gives a stable hashrate (both on local miner and pool looks similliar), but from testing Alexis giving me a profits which equals to hashrate, just over longer period of time.
