Now I understand. Thank you very much and I'll let you know if it works!
Good luck and good hashings.

Probably not a good one...
USB 2.0 HUB Powered 7-Port high speed+Free AC Adapter

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/370812764010

Tnx for help

I'm using the same just with another branding. It works well with 5 USB Miners. For over a Month now. have You tried different USB Cables? Sometimes it helps to cut the red cable of the Connection, but I didn't.

I did change The cable, but no difference. I don't understand... The 2 usb asicminer work perfectly well if plugged individually either directly to the Pi or to the USB hub, but if I put them together (USB hub or PI port or one in the USB hub and one to the Pi that's what happens... Basically one the two gives errors, but is not always the same one...alone works perfectly!

Thank you for the help.
The AC adapters that came with my 2 HUB's like your's were of 5 volts, 1 ampere. As each USB Block Erupter needs 510 mA to hash and the switch also needs some mA to work, it can't give enough energy to both Erupters.

You need a AC adapter with more amperage. I'm using AC adapters with 5 volts 3 amperes and I can connect 5 USB Block Erupters without problems.

Today I am selling a limited quantity of Red fury USB miners.

Selling price is 2.1BTC and that is inclusive of shipping. No minimum quantity. Feel free to pm me or post questions in the thread. These ship our right after payment.
The included shipping cost is only for UK or is also included for the rest of EU (in this case, Portugal)?
244  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Fastest USB miner in the world. 2.5 gh/s on: September 14, 2013, 11:12:34 AM
Little confused....I could spend $199 USD and get the same amount of hashing power. As the BLOCK ERUPTORS are $24.95 right now. x8 = $199

333 hash rate X 8 =2664 hash rate

BTC-E for (2.1 BTC) =$262.25 USD

so is it just braggin rights?

Then you would need to buy a 10 port USB hub for 50 or 60 bucks to run those 8 Block Eruptors

cheers,

10 ports hub works great. make connectors and use computer PSU
Ok, you could buy those almost free USB HUB's from China, as I did. I even used a 5volt 7ampere PU (it comes with a 5v1a PU) to have 9 USB Block Erupters hashing. This was the result:

@bizwoo

May I suggest you ask JohnK to put the refund request through again? First one might have gone to spam.

Also, could you please address my question above about the backup plan?

EDIT:
No reply ... so may I suggest the backup plan. And as the chips are now shipping again, as in:
Quote

If this GB chips ship, I suggest you start making plans to not take delivery and have them sent back to Yifu so we can get our refund as requested some time ago.
If the chips do arrive to bizwoo, then there is no reason for refund...

This is great! Congratulations, tk1337. I already installed it in my Galaxy S3 Android Gizmo and already registered it. What do I need now to do to my 3 Rπ's with MinePeon?

Going to chat with Neil, try to get it in the next release, plus I want to see if I can get some information from him about other USB devices people are connecting to the rPi from within MinePeon. I'll let everyone know soon.
Thanks again, tk1337.
253  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Linux mining distro for the Raspberry PI - MinePeon on: September 08, 2013, 08:52:12 AM
Just thought I'd share this over here as well...

I just finished a little addition for MinePeon, which is integration with MobileMinerApp (including remote Start,Stop,Restart from within the app)... I haven't pushed it to github yet (still need to talk with Neil (MineForeman.com)), like wise I'm still playing with a few other things on MinePeon.

There is a script running in the background that updates MobileMinerApp with stats & checks for incoming commands, currently every minute. There will  be a configuration to allow you to turn the checking down to every 30 seconds (minimum).

Anyhow, here's some iOS screenshots...

This is great! Congratulations, tk1337. I already installed it in my Galaxy S3 Android Gizmo and already registered it. What do I need now to do to my 3 Rπ's with MinePeon?

Hi
I want my chips Smiley
Do you have any news if avalon will deliver soon?

Cheers,
Tom

Tom or any other buyer on GB1, please let me know if you still want the chips as it may be possible to allocate the number of chips you own in our GB1 on SebastianJ's remaining batches.

Greetings, Bizwoo.

I would like to have my 16 Avalon chips from first GB. If you still have 16 chips from second GB for grab (as seen in your own signature), you could cancel my refund of first GB and increment my 16 chips from second GB to a total of 32 Avalon chips, to be sent to nekonos for making 2 Klodike16's, with the hope that Yifu will send you the second batch and not another refund.

Last 24h to claim promotional sticks for old customers, after that I will just sell normal units.

Hi, BitAddict.

I already received the 9 USB Gizmos. All are working as expected, but interestingly, one of them keeps the led on, with full bright while hashing. I'm not worried, as it's mining with 336 MH/s as stated, but the led always on is a bit strange.

I don't intend to do a RMA, as it's working fine, but do you know what could be wrong with it?

Thanky you very much for your kind help and support.

Last 24h to claim promotional sticks for old customers, after that I will just sell normal units.
I remember that last 03 September 2013 ( today  Grin ) I bought 9 USB Gizmos @ the high price of 0,249 BTC. Am I entitled to buy 9 USB Gizmos @ the promotional price?   Tongue

I will be kind with you and I will offer you promotional USB Gizmos at 249 mBTC. That's a great price! Cheesy
I would never pay more than 150,000 µBTC for a promotional USB Gizmo, but thanks, mate.  Grin

But I could open an exception if you do a price of 150,000,000 nBTC or 150,000,000,000 pBTC or 150,000,000,000,000 fBTC or 150,000,000,000,000,000 aBTC or 150,000,000,000,000,000,000 zBTC or 150,000,000,000,000,000,000 yBTC for each USB Gizmo.

A question about HUB's and USB Block Erupters: What is the best way to connect more than 2 HUB's to the RPI?

  • 1 - To connect a HUB (powered or not) to the RPI and then connect all other (powered) HUB's to that first one
  • 2 - To connect first HUB to the RPI, second HUB to first one, third HUB to second one and so on (all HUB's powered)?
