The cost of living is increasing because the current growth model of the world is simply not sustainable. The earth is hollowing out. We have already mined deep and flattened the mighty mountains. Nice thought but the problem is that humans are the reason of all the evil in the world. We have already emptied the coffers of natural resources. I feel if this earth is a living creature, than sure humans are cancer which is in stage 4. The cancer might not be curable by now.
