Price seems to have been holding pretty well since the turn upwards last week so looking more positive as time goes on. If more whales are entering the scene that can only be a good thing long as you can sell before they do when it goes up alot!

Bit of an open question really, Number of reputable altcoins? Total number of altcoins? Altcoins worth investing in?
As others have stated coinmarketcap tends to list majority of them but there'll be people just tinkering with code theoretically creating new alt coins and building new functionality every hour I expect.

Weirdly high pump volume, got a feeling we maybe hearing some big announcement on this soon and the big boys already know the news

Been in same boat regarding any transactions using MEW. Tokens are especially difficult to transfer at the moment. Not going to pay $7+ to get my funds moved about it's turning ETH into BTC!

Lol @ crypto kitties, whoever thought of that is a genius. Selling virtual pics to idiots for crypto. Wait wait for our next release there'll be a super mega ultra rare glitter kitty "Opens up photoshop, add some effects, save as > glitterkitty.png"

Just needs to prove itself I guess, if they're still communicating and hosting new ICOs come mid next year people will start to believe more in the project. There really needs to be an incentive to holding tokens i.e. letting you investing in projects using the ICO purchase price (not the current market value). At least then they'll hold a minimum value.

Reminds me of the "Next bonus ball" trick where you sent spam email to say 100,000 people saying the bonus ball with be X number next week. By end of first week, if there's 50 balls 49 will be wrong and 1 will be right. So you're left with 2000 people who think you predicted right. Repeat the week after to those 2000 people and suddenly 40 people now think you've guessed the bonus ball two weeks in a row and are perfectly vulnerable to be scammed.
Only in this case there's more margin for error!

Datadash did a good video on this recently comparing bitcoin to the dotcom bubble. Interesting to see comparison between the old internet big hitters like Lycos, alta vista, geocities! I imagine in 5 years time some of these altcoins will still be around, maybe 1 or 2 will become the Ebay/Google/Amazons of the world but majority will buy up / merge and do whatever they can to survive before they'll finally die. Not to say they won't be big but can't see those lasting 10+ years. https://www.cbinsights.com/research/dot-com-bubble-companies/

Personally going to hold until it hits around 80-90 cents I think. People are starting to see this coin for what it really is, awesome!

Monetha is starting to get some good support and so is Substratum. Both newish coins on the block but have long term roadmap so be prepared to HODL.

Just need to be aware of transaction charges depending on how you're depositing the money. Coinbase charge around 3.75% I believe for debit/credit card transactions. This quickly adds up where as if you did a bank transfer which some banks charge a fixed fee for, you could save a bunch on admin fees.

Market starting to look at bit more stable laterly, might not be such a bad investment after all. Still be amazing if it managed to get onto Bittrex.

Mined with 140 coins for pretty much 10 weeks solid and nadda. Funny how nearly all the posts saying mining is working for them are either newbie or junior accounts.
I OR most others may be Juniors to bitcointalk.org, but last 1-2 years I am in crypto space... No offense, Tell us how to stake/mined with 140 ATB coins. And expect steady gains? As any other coins when difficulty skyrocketing, you should have more coins in ur wallet in order get a reasonable return. This is my personal opinion !! Did I say steady gains? SOME gains would be expected over that period of time though, it's not like my amount is minuscule unless with your pretend ATB staking you've got 100k coins. Either way I don't really care as this coins shite. Just giving others my experience with it.

Look at the price history and ask yourself when was too late? People thought the same thing at $1, $10, $100, $1000, hell I'm new to Crypto and was 50:50 on buying one at $3500 in September. Biggest mistake I made, instead I invested in some altcoin that has gone to 20% of my investment.

My advice would be, be selective. Don't just join any old airdrop or bounty programme. If that's something you want to do and invest alot of time in though Excel or Project for keeping track of schedules would seem sensible.

Here's to waiting to see if it hits 1m by 2020 or we get to see John Mcafee eat his dick lol
"Mcafee tweeted that he will eat his d**k if the bitcoin price does not reach $1 million by the end of 2020."

Pretty disappointed with treatment of long term signature members, got 22 stakes from over 75 posts with Pundi and was one of the early participants.
How did my stakes even manage to go from 12 down to 7 when my forum rank actually went up? It's been amended on the spreadsheet but not in my stake calculation?

Invest half in Bitcoin, and 10% in 5 other top 10 coins of your choice. Wait 5 years, cash out and retire.

Basically there's no benefit at moment to holding KICK vs Eth which has much less chance of dropping. The whole bit about getting bonus emissions each month don't really give you that % as profit as it just devalues the entire supply.
