My long term alt coin is definitely ethereum. It's the only coin I feel safe holding regardless of the day to day fluctuations of the price point. Any of those other coins I feel the need to constantly monitor and trade. I never sell my ethereum and always feel safe in the belief it will continue to grow in value.

I always hold my ethereum in my opinion it is a long play and will continue to grow over time.

I believe this coin will be trading at $1000 and more over the next couple of years.

My votes are on ethereum for something fairly safe and deep onion for something with potential to grow rapidly.

In my opinion, Ethereum is the best coin to mine in terms of stability and price point. You can also mine a secondary while mining ethereum such as SIA which is slightly less exciting. I hold my ethereum and use the SIA I mine to buy into more exciting coins such as DeepOnion

I would definitely say looking into DeepOnion is a good play! But looks like you are already into that based on your signature!

I would definitely recommend mining ethereum. The coin holds good value, the future is bright and I think you will be happy with the results whether you are choosing to sell it or to hold it. I have been mining ethereum for a few months and have been holding all of mine, as I feel comfortable that this coin will continue to rise steadily in value.

I have a few mining rigs I use to mine ethereum that run on windows 10. I am not the most technically inclined person when it comes to troubleshooting or messing with settings. Luckily I am invested in this with someone who is. The drawback is that this person lives approximately an hour away from me, and every time something needs updating or fixing he needs to make the trip to my place. So I am wondering what software is out there that would allow him full control of these mining rigs from the comfort of his home? I have played around with quick support but find it is somewhat limited in terms of what I am looking for. Anyone out there have any better ideas?

I'm thinking today is a good day to pick up ethereum and deeponion both of them are at a bargain today.

My favorite coin for long term investment is Ethereum, my favorite newer coin for potential rapid growth is DeepOnion.

In terms of high risk high reward coins I think the most exciting one out there right now is Deep Onion.
For something less risky and more established I also love Ethereum.
These are my two main holdings right now. I think both of which have potential to jump drastically in value.

What are you using to mine? I have some rigs using GPU and mine ethereum as my primary (which I am happy with).. From what I have been told, mining Deep Onion is not feasible using GPU miners. I am really interested in Deep Onion though so if you have some idea on mining them I would love to hear it. I have been purchasing the DeepOnion and holding it religiously, but if there's a way to use my current systems to mine it, I would love to know.

I have had a few rigs up and running for the last 6 months, and have found that you can actually get 8 cards onto a unit. Depending on the price of Ethereum and the stability of your set up, you should be able to generate approximately 300 USD per month per unit. You then have to subtract electrical and maintenance costs from that. So depending what your goals are, it may not be worth running just one small rig.

I have been mining and holding Ethereum and am quite happy with the way it is performing, I think it is a pretty safe bet to say this coin will continue to perform well. I am less excited about the secondary coin I am set up to mine which is SIA and am thinking of changing over to something that has more opportunity to jump in value such as Decred.
 
In terms of riskier/newer coins, I have been buying DeepOnion for the last couple of weeks and I think that it will be a big hit over the next little while. Definitely plan on continuing to purchase and hold this coin.
