241  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Going all in and losing the bet on: April 05, 2024, 07:27:30 PM
Greed will not give us a good impact but it will getting worst once we are actually going to let our greed take over us. But anyways if we put our all in bet then our luck is in our side then one thing for sure we will win a good amount of money. But If we don't have our luck in our side then one thing for sure we will not win but our last money the casino will took that. So we must not be greedy and we must not put our bet in all in so that we won't loss on the spot.
That's right, greed will always make us unable to get what we want and also we can't control ourselves when betting which makes us experience a lot of losses in the bets we play and only luck can win the bets we play if we play with greedy because while betting we don't analyze anything that makes us play uncontrollably and if we analyze first before betting then there will be a possibility that we will be able to win the bet we placed and it would be better for us to bet according to the amount of money we can afford. responsibility if you lose in a bet.

And that's what happen to me a couple of hours ago, I can't believed that string of luck that I'm getting. And in just a matter of minutes, I lose everything, my $100 dollar bankroll didn't win anything and I think this is the first time that I experienced it.

Was to frustrated that I want to deposit for more, good thing is that the other side of my brain is telling me to just quit and not extend my losses. I even wanted to go land base and and there recoup my losses from online. So I just sleep it over, and not thinking to chase it,  Sad
242  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Always check the deposit address on: April 05, 2024, 10:40:49 AM
The lesson here is always check the wallet address before you deposit no matter how long do you use the same address. Most importantly don’t use casino wallet address to receive funds that has a delay such as loan money and campaign payments since there’s a chance that they will update their wallet address without prior notice. Keep safe and have fun.
Ensure that the address is correct every time you want to make a deposit, steps that must be observed at all times. I really agree that the habit of checking addresses to make sure they are correct should become a permanent habit even though it seems very trivial to do.
The address obtained from the casino is not intended to be used as an address for receiving funds from other parties. There must be a separation between the address for making deposits to the casino and the address for other receipts.
I haven't deposited on any crypto casino's because I don't have one either, although I am planning to start using one with altcoins. It also happened to me some months back but it wasn't a crypto gamble site, I wanted to deposit fiat to my betting account but made a mistake and deposited it into my my cousins betting account. But it was my fault because I didn't check the account ID before doing the transaction and my bank if you deposit money to an ID that iD will be there until you remove it and put another one. But I didn't check them I deposit the money. Fortunately I told him to give me the login details of his betting account then I have to bet with he's account.

Meaning you are promoting a casino in your signature but you are not playing?  Wink

It's good that the OP has shared his experience here, yeah, some of us might have use several casinos deposit address because its obvious that we want to play. This is just a extreme bad luck in his part but it was resolved by the casino themselves so everything ends in a bright note. It will be sad that if the casino didn't cooperate with the OP here and so that money is gone forever.
243  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Mispadu - banking trojan and infostealer target crypto exchanges across LATAM on: April 05, 2024, 10:25:11 AM
I think that most cryptocurrency exchanges require two-factor authentication, so even if this trojan was able to obtain information such as email and password, it still needs a two-factor authentication code to log into the account. Therefore, I think that it aims to collect more data about users than stealing their balances. It is better to have a separate device that you use it to conduct banking transactions/connect to cryptocurrency exchanges and not to click on unknown links or download any file.

Yes, but we all know that this scammers might as well get over the 2FA, How Attackers Bypass Two-factor Authentication (2FA).

So there is still a possibility that we can lose our money with this infostealer that goes after our exchanges data.

But I do agree, we can't stress that enough, we should have at least separate device for our crypto and banking transactions so prevent this kind of attack.
244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Number of new memecoin traders hits record high on: April 04, 2024, 08:40:01 PM
Personally, I never considered memecoin for long term investment but nowadays, people are going after every memecoin with the hope of changing their life like we see some stories online but in reality only few can make such profits while others are going to lose just like every investment, so I wanted to ask how to you see this craze for memecoins in the recent days.

Really depends on the investors, but I will be with you saying that we never consider memecoins. It's a bigger reward but the risk is also higher, and some of us are that conservative as far as our money goes and would rather invested on some solid coins.

Ans for the new record high, I'm not surprised, we are about to hit the bull run and so the market is going crazy about this whole memecoins again. And you have to look at it both sides, if there is someone making millions with it, for sure there are investors as well who are losing millions.
245  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 04, 2024, 08:16:57 PM
Just funny though that in the beginning and if I still recall it correctly, some of us thinks that Wemby is just over hype rookie and we even put Chet above him for the rookie of the year as Chet is with a good team while Wemby's San Antonio is struggling.

But now we talk about his as DPOY which he is still a huge underdog against his country man @12.00, as compare to Gobert @1.02.

I guess we've seen him enough to say that he is no longer overrated as he has proved his skills already.

Maybe it has help him to play like he is expected to, the criticism he received made him better and now we are seeing the real beast in him. He is truly and Alien with a skills of an exceptional big man. he is still young, a lot of improvement he can do for himself and for his team, and as long as he keep himself healthy, the Spurs will likely be back to the playoffs again.

Odds now for DPOY, Gobert is still at the top, Wemby is next but not close.

https://www.covers.com/nba/nba-defensive-player-of-the-year-odds

I'm surprised to see Anthony Davis has fallen to number four on that list.  He was an early favorite to win DPOY after a great start defensively and I thought he was keeping it going.  He's even played in most of the games this season helping him shed the Street Clothes nickname.  I might have to take another look at the stats because I thought Anthony Davis was going to have his year, but now it seems that Gobert is going to win it again...  Not saying he doesn't deserve to win every year and his team is doing great, but I hoped we'd see a new name this year.

I thought he was going to be the DPOY too; some of the nba players are saying it too, like Bam, who said that Anthony Davis is the best defensive player at the league. But is Gobert winning again? I don't really know too; people do have voter's fatigue in MVP but not in DPOY. If he wins it, then congratulations to him; it will be his fourth time winning this award. I think the team records can affect the odds in this award; looking at the TWolves from a first-round exit from last season to a 3rd seed this season is great. But if AD wins it, he deserves it too; he is the Lakers' defense this season, and he has been healthy for them, giving it all out on the defensive side every game.

That odds on Gobert though, Lol, as it was sure that he will win it again. But AD in the last couple of games specially with the Lakers in a winning streak, shows that he can change and block shots as well just like what Rudy does.

But I guess it's more on this defensive players really being consistent and that's where Rudy Gobert shines. He has been intimidating players this season, while AD and Bam and to some extend Wemby, just have games wherein they defense was magnified, in my opinion.
246  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Land Based Casinos in the Digital Age on: April 04, 2024, 09:48:09 AM
Hey everyone,

As online gambling platforms continue to grow in popularity, I’ve been wondering about the future of traditional, land based casinos. With the convenience and accessibility of online betting, will brick-and-mortar casinos become a thing of the past, or will they evolve to offer experiences that can’t be replicated online?

Do you think they’ll manage to hold their ground, or will we see a shift towards exclusively digital platforms?
They'll both exist into this gambling industry no matter how online gambling would progress, we should make ourselves aware that not all people would really be loving on playing online and still nothing could
beat up that real ambiance and experience on which physical casinos that could give and this is something those gamblers do loving and this is where they do preferred it out.

If you do try to look around then those casinos are still on existence on which means that there's still that a huge demand and i dont see any decline. Despite on online gambling casinos rise
or demand but still there are gamblers who are really that preferring on playing into these places. They are still making that significant revenue and we've seen on how
still relevant they are even up in todays era.

Definitely see where you're coming from, but let's not overlook the appeal and convenience of online casinos. They're not just about playing from home, they're about accessibility, variety, and innovation. Sure, physical casinos have their charm, but online platforms offer a vast selection of games, often updated with the latest tech developments, which you can enjoy without waiting for a free table or slot machine. Plus, for those who might be intimidated by the grandeur of traditional casinos or prefer a more private gaming experience, online casinos are a perfect fit.

But I don't think there is innovation as far as games are? I mean you can play games in online that can be played as well in traditional casinos. I don't know but there is also waiting time for a free table in online as far as a experience.

And that's what land base brings, I mean it's granduer so why would gamblers be intimidated in the first place. And there is always a first time and when you set your foot in a land base maybe you don't want to go online again, just saying.
247  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anxiety in trading (heart disease) on: April 04, 2024, 09:26:10 AM
If you realize that trading is hurting your and you take it serious then leave it because nothing is more important than your health and if your health gets effected then no matter how large sum of money you earned you will not be able to enjoy it.

If you are calm in trading and have knowledge so I think you will have no pressure of win or loss but if you cannot keep calm then it will surely effects your heart. Therefore it is better to enjoy your life with the amount of money you have because one day you will realize that a satisfied life is much better than wealthy life full of diseases.

Apart from what you said, it is really important in trading that our health is in good condition, whether we eat right or are not sick. Even if we have a problem, we are still calm because we know how to manage the problem we have.

Because, like you said, the stress is hard for us, and we are still hurt by what happened because of the big losses we experienced in conducting trading in this field. So, it's only right that we stop for a while, and I don't think I see anything wrong with it.

We will only know if we do have daily check up with doctor, but the question is how many of us are doing that until it's too late? Most of us are are not aware of our health to be honest, even myself I don't do checkup unless I really need to go to the doctor because I can't bear the pain.

So for trading, don't overthink, it we lose then just take it as a man and live another day. Don't overstress ourself specially if we are not that young anymore. And just take trading lightly and don't be very serious. Although our money or even our future is in stake here, we should really be careful not to over do things not just in trading but in life.
248  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Subriel Matias VS Liam Paro IBF Super Lightweight June 15th Manati, Puerto Rico. on: April 04, 2024, 05:15:13 AM
Subriel is one of champs that is also avoided by many fighters. Liam wasn't accepting this fight in the beginning, it was rumored to be Elvis Rodriguez so he wasn't ducking Subriel after all.  Although Paro is also undefeated, I think Subriel is too much for him. But he is a decent fighter that could give Subriel a run for the money.

Any of these two can beat Garcia but Tank, it's an uphill battle.

I don't think that he was avoided by many fighters, it's that the incentive is not there as he is not well known. Paro is just a step up fight for Matias, and if he could win here then the whole 140 lbs will take notice and he could get some unification fights.

So it's good for him, at least his name is already there and the boxing media is hyping him.

But I don't think he can beat some of the champion like Teo Lopez or Haney.
249  Economy / Economics / Re: Lock your bank balance on: April 03, 2024, 08:16:22 PM
This is not bad but you better not lock the only amount of money that you have. If you have a goal and you’re saving towards it, I hope you know to have emergency funds too, so if something unplanned happens, you will not worry on how to access the locked funds but use the emergency fund. If you don’t plan this way, you could get stuck someday with no one to rescue you. You’d have your funds locked but can’t access it to help yourself.
I don't have any experience of locked funds in my country, maybe it exists but I've not used the service, what I know in my country is fixed deposit, that is where you keep certain amount in the bank for specific period of time, you can not access the money until after the agreed time and interest will be added to the person. This type of savings applies when someone has a project that they perhaps don't want to touch their funds until the time when they want to use it, aside from this, it's better to invest and leave some money in savings, Incase you need to spend unexpectedly, so you'll not be stranded or looking for where to borrow money.

Well we all know that there are a lot of disadvantage of keeping our money in bank, regardless if it is on locked funds or what we call time deposit. For one it offer fixed rate and it's much lower as we compare it to say stocks.

And again, for obvious reasons, your money is locked, meaning yo can't touch it for a certain period of time. What if you have a emergency on your end? And of course, inflation, after the lock in and taxes are paid, the profit you are going to make will not beat inflation.
250  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 03, 2024, 07:58:52 PM
Stat wise and early in his career, yeah I would have to agree that Luka is better than Dirk at any statistical categories. But still though the barometer at least for me is to win 1 championship for the Dallas Mavericks. Yeah, Dirk could have been surrounded by good team mates by that time, but they faces Lebron and Wade in the finals and it was Dirk who carried that team with his clutch fade away shot. And so if Doncic can do that against a stack up team like Celtics or the Bucks in the finals, then I would agree with Cuban. So for now, Doncic is great but he is not on that level yet with Dirk as far as what he brought to the City of Dallas in his era.

If we compare Dirk's stats for his entire career with Luka's stats, Luka is not better than him in all aspects. For example, their field goal percentage is the same, but Dirk's three-point and free throw percentage was better than Luka's now. Overall, I would say that Luka is a more versatile player than Dirk. However, that doesn't take away from the fact that Dirk was one of the best power forwards in NBA history, and he made a huge contribution to the Mavs franchise.

And Dirk probably one of the best power forward that changes the game itself. European that can shoot from the outside, we haven't seen that kind of players before and so Dirk revolutionized that position.

So really hard to compare, but then again, for us fans, its the championship that really counts and so far Luka hasn't give that to the Mavs franchise. It's that the Luka was really insane this season.

Anyone wasn't talking about Joel Embiid's comeback game against SGA led OKC and beat them?
251  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Claw Machines: a category of gambling? on: April 03, 2024, 09:42:46 AM
The way claw machines work is that the owner sets how strong the claw can grab and it randomly grabs with different levels of pressure. Every once in a while it grabs with enough pressure to let you win something. While people may fool themselves into thinking it is a game of skill, it is chance that you get a strong enough grip to grab something.

I have the same hunch, it's possible that the claw is set up on how tight or loose they can be to make it difficult for the players to get prizes. Of course, as a businessman who wants to make players happy, we can't agree that we won't make money from the machines we set up in our place, right? then others will even like to play it more because it is challenging to do. There are times when other players have techniques that make them win a lot of prizes, like when it was trending on social media that they used a magnet for the claw, but that's not allowed, because that's cheating.

And with that, maybe we can compare them to slot machines as well that can be set up with RTP so that it will be difficult for players to win same with claw machine and so it could be define as gambling already.

Maybe are hook in this game, specially young kids who is motivated to win big prices. But their young mind can't comprehend that the machine is rigged in the first place and the only way to win is by extreme luck that you get in at the right spot and bring it back to fall.
252  Economy / Speculation / Re: Road to 100k? on: April 03, 2024, 09:22:09 AM
For me it's better to just observed the market and be ready for any fall in price and then re-buy and continue to invest even if we enter the bull run or after the halving run. Market price is very volatile, there is no assurance that we might not see any correction. And this is the first time that we have seen new ath pre-halving, so it could be scary for some investors.
Yeah, at the same time buying the dip is the most important part but we are not at the dip anymore, so all you can do is constantly keep buying whenever you get some money, that's how you should approach this in the end.

DCA, yeah it is our best friend and strategy all throughout, regardless if we are in the bear or bull market, and as long as our goal is long term, DCA is the plan.

I believe that we are going to end up with a good return here and there, which should be the most important part. I get that people are not approaching things like they are the most valuable things, but that doesn't mean that we are going to end up with a great increase right away, so we still have time to buy some bitcoins. If we do that, from 70k to 100k means nearly 50% profit, and that is great for half a year time, and in half a year that could happen. This is why we should be considering investing even at this price.

Best time to buy is in the bear market, but then again, profit is profit so whenever we buy at $65k, and the bull ended at $150k++, that is already a x2 gain and we will take that. Problem is there are people who are greedy who wants more profit. But in this bull run, everyone will have a slice in the pie so whatever it is, still that is profit that we will take.
253  Economy / Gambling / Re: My experience on live bet on: April 03, 2024, 12:41:15 AM
I started to question why this sport bet robot was acting that way after two of the three games had already been played, even if I eventually won the game. At that point, my cash out was #1,641.
It's mostly due to your multi-bet's last leg. The live odds are higher than the pre-live from 2.07 to 3.45, and can likely fail when you start to look at the situation of the match(85 mins in with only 1 goal).

The cashout amount would've been higher if that match just started instead of nearing the end.

IMO, that's still a generous cashout amount, even though the bet is only a few minutes away from being graded as a loss.

Yeah, still a win for the OP although gamblers really like to get that max amount of win. But sometimes cash out make sense if you already have some money on your multi-bet. Just don't regret your decision.

Might not be a good strategy for others and it just shows that gamblers are also very different in terms of their gambling style and strategy.

Others might go all in, but there are also some conservative gamblers within us.
254  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Claw Machines: a category of gambling? on: April 02, 2024, 08:54:30 PM
^^ But still, how do you get those tokens? right, you will buy it with your money and so that is already the very definition of gambling per se. Risk that involves money is already gambling and this is just a way for this arcade to hide it and make it fun specially for kids to play claw machine ask their parents for their money and play.

It doesn't mean that because it's token and then you are not being rewarded by money is not going to fall on the category of gambling.
255  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bull run again, huh on: April 02, 2024, 08:12:35 PM
how do you say this is exaggeration because it may be that the price of may not increase more than our expectation after having because what makes the Bitcoin to continue to accelerate in price is when there is a massive adoption in cryptocurrency there is every tendency that the price of Bitcoin will not to reach hundreds thousand as we expected after halving...so the increment of Bitcoin is something we know that is uncontrollable and unpredictable.
What mostly determines the price of bitcoin to go that high is when the demands is very high than the supply, meaning if there are much buying order than the selling other this would now cause the price to surge the way can't even imagine. Reason that those that hold would never want to sell except for those that doing trading, even as that the price would keeps surging, coupled with when there is good news surrounding the market because I always believed that positive news gives a serious lift to the bitcoin price. Just as the Bitcoin ETF created a new ATH without even getting to the halving main month.

And with the upcoming halving, which makes the supply super scarce, the demand is going to be very high this year and 2025 and that's why we are expecting like $100k as what others have predicted.

We have seen new all time high already, but that is not the top price, its just the tip of this bull run. That surge might be due to the approval of Bitcoin Spot ETF. But the catalyst of this bull run is the halving and we are going to see it this month if I'm not mistaken, so it's going to be a promising year for all of us.
256  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Global wealth preservation" on: April 02, 2024, 03:07:01 AM
In what ways do the historical narratives and cultural perceptions surrounding gold as a traditional store of value intersect with the emerging narrative and evolving cultural perception of Bitcoin as a digital store of value, and how might these intersections shape the future landscape of global wealth preservation?

Thank you for sharing your insights and perspectives!

You just have to look at El Salvador, as they experimented and make Bitcoin a legal currency and then the government investing on it together with Gold as their reserves. So far he has been criticized when the price of Bitcoin goes down hard, but now that we are in the bull run, they are making profits.

That's just one example of how Bitcoin has change the narrative already at one angle. And then we have the approval of Bitcoin Spot ETF in the US, investors are exposed to it and obviously it's another vehicle to this rich to get their money grow and preserved it.
257  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Seasonv on: April 02, 2024, 02:41:56 AM

On the other hand, I guess it's still good that the Warriors are hanging on that 10th seed, and now the gap has become larger between the Warriors and the Rockets because the Warriors won, and the Rockets lost. The Rockets are now 2 games behind the Warriors, and I'm a little bit bias here, but they will not get that play-in spot. Smiley The next games for both teams will be hard as the Warriors will face the Mavericks while the Rockets will face the Timberwolves. Like I said, all games between both of these teams are important for that final play-in spot.

That's just how it is for them and such scenarios are common when the time of NBA playoffs arrives, there are always some teams who push their way and exert all efforts to get to that spot but unfortunately for the Rockets, it's too late for them and they only hope is when the GSW will lose every game in the future and they, on the other hand, win all of their remaining games as well which we all know not gonna happen because this is when they are strong when facing such challenge and you can tell that they don't give any easy games to whatever teams they are facing in their last few games ahead.

I agree, if they could have push it earlier, not that we want Sengun to get injured and see how the Rockets will do without him, but as how tough the competition in the West, they could have won some of their games earlier specially those games that they lost with just a couple of points. And now they try to make a comeback, but against a champion team in Warriors, might be hard to do that.

And now that they have lost already, their chances are getting slimer as the Warriors have the momentum now.
258  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Atomic Stealer - Mac OS malware that targets crypto wallets on: April 02, 2024, 02:16:48 AM
Like they always say. “No system is 100% secure” The hackers are smart, and they know that people “trust” macOS and Linux more than Windows and Android and so will look for a way of creating malware for such Operating systems too
It's a very bad security practice to completely let one's guard down just because they think they are using a purported secure operating system.

Right, it seems that they are one step of the game, although majority of us here remain vigilant or at least learn our lessons and educate ourselves, but there are moments wherein there could be mental lapses and so we might see ourselves trap and falling for this scams.

That being said. uBlock Origin has really done me a huge service to block all those unnecessary ads from my browsing results.

One of the best, and there is also MetaMask blocking known scam sites and they are very quick at updating their list. In this case, since this website is not secure, it automatically block by our browsers already.
259  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 01, 2024, 12:36:21 AM
I think we will see that the winning streak of Houston Rockets are going to be broken.

Luka is playing playoff, 44 points already and counting, and he is throwing every move that you can find in the book and no one can guard him. While on the other hand, the Warriors is leading against the Spurs and so if the trend continues, they will make at least a good separation between them and the Rockets and then we will enter wherein this two are going to play against each other on April 5.
260  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Devin Haney vs Ryan Garcia on April 20 on: March 30, 2024, 09:40:52 AM
~SNIP~

That is his only lost in his career, against Davis but it is at 135 lbs. He won against Oscar Duarte last December and that is his last fight. So he was able to move up in weight after that lost to Davis. And to add to that, there are a lot of clauses in that fight, including rehydration clauses. Meaning even if Ryan can make the 135 lbs, he can't go and fully hydrate himself to whatever weight he is comfortable after the weigh in. And it's obviously has a effect on him as he is weak in the body and that Tank Davis took advantage of it. But now that he moves up and we haven't heard any clauses, hopefully this will be a good fight for boxing fans. However, with Ryan's recent actions, we really don't know if he can win against Haney here as he is a big underdog as per odds. Almost 6:1 now.

So this is the only loss from Ryan Garcia wow just wow I mean he is probably at the top of his career right now. Is there any news that they gonna do a re-match hahah because if this his first loss he probably wants to fight again

but what do you think about upcoming fight "Devin Haney vs Ryan Garcia" did Ryan Garcia still have a potential to win?

Ryan Garcia is a huge underdog against Haney and with that it might be hard for him, and the chance are slim. And every time that Ryan Garcia will step up his competition, he usually lost the fight.

He was carefully build by Oscar Dela Hoya and that's why he got the hype that he deserves in the 135 lbs, but when he faces another undefeated fighter in Tank Davis. I will say that he was exposed, he doesn't have that movement, just relying on his left hook that if it didn't work he doesn't have plan B. And in his last fight, he try to be a slick boxer as he was trained by Derrick Jones, but it was funny to see him doing the Philly shell to that point that he is turning his back.
