241  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Important Factors while joining a new Casino on: July 03, 2021, 03:56:31 PM
I personally check if the new casino has license, what cryptocurrency can be used, the choices of games, game fairness, the basic and overall appeal of the website as well. But before actually trying to start having any transaction, I check reviews and wait for an amount of time before trying. Nowadays, even with all the greatness being shown, sometimes it’s just a show for an underlying motive which is to scam people.
242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk's two tweets on Dogecoin drive value of cryptocurrency up by 7% on: July 03, 2021, 03:49:43 PM
Elon Musk’s affects the coin and the market because of the people that is willingly letting themselves be influence, manipulated in such an extreme, to follow his steps. But if only these individuals would realize how much damage that this has been done prior and is currently doing to the market and the people, then these who are willingly getting influenced would be wiser what and who to follow, hopefully.
243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: A crypto chat - A place to chat about crypto! on: July 03, 2021, 03:43:08 PM
Although the intention was good, which I must commend you for that, the website is not easily accessible at all. And with the already existence of the forum and numerous platforms to talk about crypto, you must make this more of an enticement to try so people may actually use it.
244  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online gambling becomes popular on: July 03, 2021, 03:31:51 PM
...
Playing at the casino is the old style, online casino is the new style. Especially if we use Bitcoin or other crypto to play our identity will be disguised.

In my country, there are very few gamblers at crypto casinos, maybe because there are still many who like fiat casinos online...

I switched from fiat casino to crypto casino because I can easily disguise my identity without having to fill out KYC. playing in a crypto casino is much more benefits than a fiat casino.
The same goes in my country, gamblers in crypto casino are fewer compared to those who gambles online in flat-based casinos. What happened here is that majority of games and settings being done in casinos prior to the pandemic are just set up virtually but all remains the same and thus the flat based payments. I think that it is also a factor that not many people are fond of cryptocurrency in my country when it comes to gambling.
245  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fate or lack of control - Gambling on: July 03, 2021, 03:26:25 PM
It's always a lack of control, if you have a control to yourself you wouldn't be able to lose so much in gambling since you would be able to control yourself to stop playing well if someone managed to master this kind of behavior or skill the user would be able to control his losses and won't spend too much and end up losing all their money.

It's not hard to control yourself in gambling, I believe, majority of gamblers are responsible, yes, they maybe lose some money but they are enjoying. If getting out of control is a major problem, then we should not be seeing gambling operators still up now, that's the logic.

Self-control when playing gambling is very important because we will play a game that has an unexpected ending, therefore we must be prepared for whatever results will come, although some people think self-control is an easy thing but that is not the case for gamblers who playing in online and offline casinos, many gamblers even continue to play when he wins and think if he plays longer he will get bigger wins, even though we know in gambling everything can happen suddenly and it is not impossible if the first one wins but in the end will lose, therefore self-control is quite important in gambling and we must know when we have to stop gambling,  in other words, it means when we win, we should be able to keep the excitement at a natural level and when we lose, we should be able to control our emotions, because emotions can cloud our minds, and once emotions do, it will affect our own judgment and meaning , both in happiness and sadness, if we don't have good self-control, we can certainly make decisions that we will eventually regret.
Self-control still won't be easy, if you say self-control is easy but in reality it's only for a few percent of them and usually they are disciplined gamblers. I never feel self control is easy even after you play for a long time, when you enjoy gambling then that's when you are only controlled by your own addiction. If it's like that, of course self-control can no longer be prioritized because you will only continue to seek pleasure in gambling that is difficult to control.
It is truly easier said than done. Especially if a gambler is into playing for a long time, and intentions are also being intensified due to various reasons such as needs, then self-control is a blurry aspect for them. Regardless of this, it is really the lack of control in my opinion, that has resulted to huge incurred loss for gamblers.
246  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will El Salvador become the "Home of Bitcoin"? on: July 03, 2021, 03:20:06 PM
Being the first country to accept Bitcoin as a legal currency, this put El Salvador on the light compared to other countries. This may be the primary reason why it can be called “Home of Bitcoin”, but as soon as other countries follow its footstep, which is still in question of happening, the title would most likely be fought for and certain criteria will be set forth.
247  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Thai SEC files criminal complaint against Binance on: July 03, 2021, 03:10:53 PM
The timing was somehow perfect though in regards to Binance celebrating its 4 years in the industry. The letter may have been sent this April but I guess they got a limited time for that, Binance will not get into debate, they'll solve it instead. If fine was doable I guess they'll do that but I think it will be confidential on what will be Binance's instance regarding this.
Of course they will do it discreetly, I don't think that it's anyone's business how much they pay in fines with this lawsuit. This Thai is much bigger problem though because it's a criminal complaint rather than a lawsuit. Hopefully, all this thing that Binance is experiencing is just a temporary thing.
Yes, indeed. I also think that Binance would not choose to be closed and be guilty of such complaint but will make amends in such ways that they can do so. They have more than enough capacity to pay fines if such will be lifted and to hire a team of people, like lawyers, to get them out of a bad situation. But of course, would still do with limited eyes and ears that can witness the processes.
248  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Daytrading vs Holding on: July 03, 2021, 03:01:28 PM
They hold for reasons unknown and one is that to delay until the following Bullrun will come, it requires months or a long time contingent upon the circumstance. The beneficial thing about holding is less pressure for the holders, they simply sit and trust that the ideal time will sell and make a benefit from it. This is the motivation behind why a great deal of them are losing as opposed to acquiring benefits. Day exchanging is anything but a simple peasy task however.
Time is the primary focus when holding, for some it may be shorter, but some will have to wait longer like what you have stated. And I agree, because it took me a long hard year before I profited with my holdings. My say is that patience and faith are what needed in holding, while knowledge is vital in trading. If one is weaker on the other aspects, then choose the latter, but either way both have risks.
249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happen if US ban cryptocurrencies? on: July 03, 2021, 02:53:05 PM
Assuming that US banning cryptocurrency will really take place, of course it would have a drastic impact in the price, as when China did the banning. But knowing that US is an innovative, futuristic and a game changer country, I don’t think that it will be ban cryptocurrency seeing how it benefits the people and the government in such ways as well. As said by the many here, it would be more likely on implementation of restrictions.
250  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Short one's own operation on: July 03, 2021, 02:45:43 PM
There is a very interesting thing that makes me a bit dilemma. Whenever I consider whether to look at an upward or downward trend in a trading cycle, things are always in the opposite direction. What is even more incredible is that when I want to abandon this transaction, the story is again It's the opposite direction.

1. Good speculators are always waiting, always patient. Waiting for the market to confirm their judgment
2. Don't completely trust your judgment until the market's performance confirms your opinion
Being patient is very important but you can never get it 100% accurate no matter what, just you need to adapt this and play the game of cryptocurrency trading. Mkre shorter your trading the the risk is going to be higher so if you are always wrong then you need to change your trading strategies.
I agree with you. There is no shortcut in trading, whether it is in terms of learning techniques or hitting that “jackpot” kind of moment. Being patient, when it comes to trading, can put a trader a long way and in a good place. Although it is easier said than done, emotions and aggression to success must be kept in the cool to not lose one’s sanity in making trade decisions.
251  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terms and condition a must read before signing up any online gambling site on: July 03, 2021, 02:39:56 PM
There is reason why terms and conditions exist in these gambling sites in the first place, and there is also a purpose why it signed by players through the question of agreement. By agreeing in such, rules and regulations must be applied and complied with throughout the entire game experience. But many fails to do so, and the bunch of ranting and posts of regret are proofs of this. I cannot emphasize enough how important it is to be read upon signing up, notwithstanding that the status of money and progress is at stake upon one’s understanding of game terms and conditions.
252  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why people are comfortable investing in government controlled investments on: July 03, 2021, 02:36:29 PM
Some people feel that there is more guarantee when it comes to safety and security of investment when it is under the control of government simply because the government is the law. When something happens, anything that actually takes place with the investments, the government has the power to interfere and provide actions, which is both a good and disadvantageous. Government controlled investments may be backed up for security but limitations are also set, and not all governments act in good faith. Any investments, in reality, is risky so practice due diligence.
253  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is still the favorite choice on: July 03, 2021, 02:32:25 PM
It is indeed true that Bitcoin can be considered as the crowd’s favorite. In addition to the matter that it is the top word that comes to one’s mind when cryptocurrency is heard, it is also being featured in various platforms with high value. It will stay as a favorite choice because it is a safety net type of coin, it is the primary cryptocurrency and has deemed to be the sustainable one in its existence.
254  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HODL...until when? on: July 03, 2021, 02:28:02 PM
I guess it can be said that patience is truly a virtue in cryptocurrency. While it is true that there are risks in holding, primarily the devaluing of coins, there are also benefits and rewards waiting for those who do. I personally hold until the day came that I think it is time. I take all the time that I need in researching and deciding when to actually do it, to maximize the profit that I may gain. But it is important to also consider that there is volatility and so lost chance to sell for a good price is melancholy.
255  Economy / Gambling / Re: FAIRLAY.COM SCAMMING USERS, ILLEGAL BET VOIDING on: June 27, 2021, 08:45:33 AM
What's the status of this allegation? I've seen that this website is one of the old betting sites, would that be possible that they might be really scamming people it's too bad that there's no representative here in the forum I tried to look online but only found this user which was already inactive: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2582351
256  Economy / Gambling / Re: Pragmatic play slots not available in my region on: June 27, 2021, 08:39:11 AM
I think this is related to where you are located and residing at the moment. Most of them are probably limiting your access because they are not technically allowed to let you play. Just like what panjul07 said, you can try VPN but it's dependent on the casino's rules as well if it's okay. You have to be careful, I have seen people getting banned because of that, IIRC.

It's really risky to use VPN especially to gambling sites. You can take risk and play with VPN but my suggestion if the game is not allowed then accept it otherwise if you insist on playing it might give you problem at some time so please be careful in using VPN just like crwth some people gets banned for using VPN and of course the money was confiscated.
257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Still thinks that crypto is manipulation free? on: June 26, 2021, 04:19:07 PM
Manipulation exists because there are manipulators and people who are willingly or unconsciously being manipulated. Crypto is manipulation free, if people would just consider their own perspective and decisions, but as recently being witnessed, people are being dragged under the influence of some known individuals, and thus their crypto related decisions.
258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: China Has Ordered All Financial Institutions To Cut Crypto -Related Services on: June 26, 2021, 04:13:56 PM
I am also starting to believe that this is a planned scheme by the Chinese government, to control their citizens and existing businesses and corporations in the country perhaps. Although this decision may had an impact to crypto, I agree that this won't make crypto end here, especially that many people globally are also starting to engage with crypto.
259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Far from possible but let's just say on: June 26, 2021, 04:07:48 PM
Let's just say you woke up one morning and you noticed that something odd is up with BTC and you look closer only to realize that BTC is down to 1$ meaning it's dead to many, would you still decide to buy some or you will exit crypto space instantly

I cannot really imagine Bitcoin dying, but you got my attention at its being priced at $1. No questions asked, I will buy as much as I can. I am a solid believer that Bitcoin, crypto in general, will continue to be here now. Especially when I saw that even during the beginning of the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic didn't stop its reign.
260  Economy / Economics / Re: When everybody tell you take take risk with money on: June 26, 2021, 04:00:53 PM
I think that in every situation that requires a decision to be made has a risk, and so benefit and opportunities. It is just a matter of how things are perceived and how the decision was thought on before coming being finalize. When it comes to risking money, pros and cons must weigh in before jumping into a conclusion, in that way neither money nor life will be risked when it is a bad investment.
