Hope for a draw between Arsenal and Manchester United. Both clubs got 1 point. Arsenal five wins strike seems impressive but it took its toll as many of Arsenal's midfielders are injured/in recovery. Arsenal wont have their best lineup when meeting with Manchester United and this is the kind of advantage Manchester United had.
Also, the Manchester United lineup slowly comes together and Old Trafford home field, another advantage to Manchester United. 11 years ago, Manchester United beat Arsenal 8-2 in Old Trafford (28/8/2011 exactly). Never underestimate the red devil in Old Trafford.
242  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can One Actually Do Crypto Trading As A Living? on: September 03, 2022, 10:45:30 AM
That's completely a bad idea, depending completely on cryptocurrency trading for living is not really good, I believe as a trader you should have another source of income, most people think trading is easy but I will tell you trading is not easy, don't believe what you hear from people about how easy trading is, don't believe all those YouTube videos you see that only talk about profit and will never talk about lost. Some newbies started trading during the bull run, they were making money and some of them wont want to get a Job because they are making money without stressing themselves, but most of them haven't traded during bear market before, they don't know how to survive during bear market, they don't believe they can lose all the money they maid during the bull run whenever their is bear market.
The only thing I always advise people is that whenever they are trading, they should always get a job and that should be a back up.
I think a lot of traders alternate between a day trader and holder/long term investor. You're being a day trader, ready to take in profit from the market volatility day by day. While on the other hand, having a sizable amount of funds sitting on long-term investments. This makes you always have a daily income to fuel your living while still able to keep holding your investment, without having to resort to selling it for cheap when the market is bearish.
Of course, this won't be easy and anyone who can profit from being a day trader is rare. A job or skillset to make a living as a backup plan is always welcome.
243  Economy / Economics / Re: Germans are looking to firewood for energy as natural gas prices soar on: September 03, 2022, 10:23:46 AM
If only Germans start to take the nuclear energy pill sooner.
They did that, see this image on Wikipedia (hotlinking the image from Wiki doesn't work).
Then, after the Fukushima nuclear disaster, they decided to get rid of them quicker. And coal too, because of the climate. Natural gas consumption on the other hand went up, because of the lower emissions and higher flexibility (needed to deal with the increasing share of wind and solar). And that's in a nutshell how we ended up where we are.

But even if they'd do use nuclear power for heating, using electricity for resistor heating is quite wasteful. You'd need a lot more power plants.
Yes, electricity is ill-suit to power the boiler, low efficiency to be used for heating in the winter. If we have more nuclear power, we can reduce the amount of reliance on natural gas. In turn, allow the oil-power boiler to take place. Yes, it was a thing. There is a downsize from oil-power boiler vs gas-power boiler but still a considerable replacement especially the biodiesel mix.
On the world scale, if more nuclear power plants are being built, it'll reduce the number of fossil fuels like coal, oil, and LNG to generate electricity. More available for those resources, supply and demand kick in, and cheaper prices as well.

Japan's Fukushima disaster was the worst. Not just Germany but a lot of countries around that time halted their plan to build new nuclear power plants. To be fair, Japan stood on the Pacific Ring of Fire, they should've known better when built the Fukushima nuclear power plant on their coast.

Nuclear energy is one of the greenest forms of energy available. I don't know why the Green Party always oppose nuclear power plants. Obviously disposal of nuclear waste is a serious concern. But now technology has advanced and safe disposal methods are available. And this is the reason why energy prices in France has remained stable so far this year, while those in other European countries have gone up by anywhere from 500% to 1,000%. Germans are the most stupid ones. Rather than building new nuclear powerplants, they closed down the existing ones.

The Green Party is just a front for renewable energy and oil cartels to hide behind it and spread their agenda. All because of money and profit. Pure greed, I tell you. Thing is changing. In COP26 or 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference where they sang a different tune, moved nuclear energy to the 'green list', and stop discouraging countries from seeking it.
244  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: September 03, 2022, 09:39:20 AM
Sevilla is a big team although they losing several key players this season but they still have Isco, Papu Gomez or Erik Lamela as good players but i don't know what happens to them because until week 3 Sevilla hasn't found their shape and today they will playing against La Liga champion candidate i think there is no chances for them to win from Barcelona especially after get draw result from Sociedad on first match seems Barcelona really on fire and Lewandowski probably will scoring goals again and for bet purpose Barcelona win will be my choice with odds @1.75
Barcelona's squad list. Picture of Gavi as the poster boy so seems like Barcelona will let Gavi play in the main lineup tonight? Anyways, Barcelona surely take a win against Sevilla here if they throw out a strong lineup. But I suspect Barcelona might use this as a chance to test their tactics and push for younger players since I take the hint at the Gavi on the poster.
245  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Watford Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: September 03, 2022, 09:17:49 AM
The issue is about Freeman being left out when Stake.com was established.  Freeman claimed that he was "discouraged" during their discussion before Stake.com was created.  I think Freeman's greed consume his thought in believing that he has the right on joining to become part owner of Stake.com.  Though the company lawyer has a counter statement regarding this issue.
Cases like this are always very difficult to prove, if the information in the article shared is correct Freeman is suing the owners of stake because they did not let him be part of it, but just because they were partners in a business already this does not mean he is entitled to become part of yet another project with them, Freeman also argues that he helped to design several features of stake, but how is that possible? He was given the chance of being part of the project but since he need to relocate he refuse to do it.

We will need to see if Freeman can produce good evidence to support his case, but so far his statements do not seem to bring too much strength to his case if you ask me.
Funny, right above you is an account with the stake signature line: "Primedice.com & Stake.com". Tho Primedice.com was placed first, only Stake.com is well known and grow quite big. Heck, even right now on bitcointalk, when this lawsuit surfaced, we start paying attention to Primedice.com and come to know both are under the same management.

We'll never know all the information regarding the fallout between the two and now, the lawsuits. I advise we shouldn't take a side just because Stake.com is bigger and more well-known, and dismiss the other as greedy and labeling them as fake news. I know in business, there are a lot of dirty tricks. Companies under merging, brand acquisition,... but some just under the guise of competitor removal, left to die for a couple of years.

It's up to the judge to pass and give the final verdict on it. Really.
246  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: September 03, 2022, 08:51:20 AM
This time they will face Manchester United, where Erik Ten Hag's men are in good form from their previous three matches.
I'm not really sure Arsenal can play loose and get full points, because Manchester United are still on a good track and if their new signings can come in, Arsenal are under pressure.
Man United may be in good form. they got a new striker and their defensive play started to improve. but Arsenal is not bad. they swept 5 games clean with a win. I'm sure even playing at home to Man United, will not interfere with the momentum from Arsenal.
I believe it will be quite difficult for Arsenal. but at least Arsenal can get a draw, not a defeat.
I also think it'll be a draw between Arsenal and Manchester United. Although Arsenal had been good so far, in the match with Manchester United, Arsenal's midfielders are not in their best shape. No Yakubu, Zinchenko, and Odegaard due to injury. Even Ramsdale too.
And it was held in Manchester United's home field, Old Trafford, I don't think Arsenal can bear the pressure here. With all say, a draw is more likely.

Don't be surprised by the Navi, a team #1 HLTV lost to Endpoint, only ranked #37. With the betting odds of 1.05 for Navi and 11-12 for Endpoint before the match, I knew the match going to be ugly. A sort of 'trait' for Navi and Navi fans are used to it. Never bet on Navi on a match that is so overwhelming to Navi or the odds are many times over for the enemy team. Cause you know Navi will throw the game for 'profit'.
248  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: September 02, 2022, 10:56:55 AM
Atalanta back up top of the league on goal difference with Roma right behind them. Atalanta have had much easier opponents compared to Roma though(besides Milan). Serie A is already turning interesting with many teams looking like title contenders. Its about who can keep it consistent, that will determine the end result.

They started the season really well, I'm sure we will watch a great competition like last year.
Teun Koopmeiners is playing great and will shine in this team. If Atalanta finishes this year with a good ranking, Koopmeiners will have a big impact on this success. I think bigger clubs will start to be interested in this player Smiley
Of all the top 7, only Inter have one loss while other clubs only draw. The race in the League is quite tight as clubs this season are very careful with their match, trying their best to get at least one score from the draw. Pretty surprising to see clubs play this seriously only at the start of the League's season. Too soon to say Atalanta will be at the top as the leading isn't that different between clubs in the top 4 or even the top 8.
249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH Merge - Vitalik memes and lots of expectation on: September 02, 2022, 10:46:11 AM
I'll stay away from ETH for a while during this time. Lot of expectations for ETH to be pump but I don't think so. The market's going sideways for quite a time and this opportunity comes just in time. No doubt many people invest in and will not understand truly how much ETH has been locked and staked, and the risk behind it.

Very hard to predict ETH's price both before and past The Merge for now. But judging based on the long term, ETH has a lot of rollout and planning for post Merge which the price for it eventually bound back anyway.

Aubameyang's move to Chelsea in a deadline day  might just be good for a short time because I don't think Aubameyang can deliver again at England. He was at Arsenal and he only did well in his first season at the club, later went on to become a flop in his second and third season at the Emirates.I know Chelsea are in a dear need of a striker and there are no good strikers available in the transfer market. They have snapped up Aubameyang now,and I just hope he does the right thing when he comes to Chelsea.Lets wait to see if his coming to Chelsea will be good for the club or it will be a waste of money.
Chelsea desperately needs an effective striker, but can we say Chelsea is complete now that Aubameyang has arrived? A lot of fans are eager to see him absolutely flop at Chelsea like he did at Arsenal. I'm worried about Aubameyang's form in Chelsea as he cannot boast his performance just magically. My best wishes to Auba for success and excellence.
Both are good choices for Chelsea. Aubameyang is a good right and a temporary piece for the forwarder/midfielder position that Chelsea has a lot of players got injured. Zakaria is better as he's younger and has more growth. Zakaria isn't just for the midfielder position as he can also support on the box-to-box. Chelsea should follow their old way, bring up a not very expensive player, and train him. If he becomes good, you're set, like Drogba that was a backbone of Chelsea.

I just read about the lawsuit. That’s a crazy big number. I hope all parties are able to settle the dispute somewhat amicably or at least avoid lengthy and costly litigation. Nobody likes being sued but I’m sure Stake will be able to handle it and lawsuits between ex-partners are fairly common.
Crypto Casino Stake.com Sued For $400 Million By Former Partner. Based on the article it looks like the former partner on primedice doesn't have any relation with stake. This is mentioned as the attempt to spread false information against Stake.
I wouldn't be so sure to dismiss the case of ex-partners or founders lawsuit. Usually, it will be ugly and the ex-partners or founders take a fair share of the stake that they think they are entitled to it. Yes, these cases are common as Facebook or a lot of tech start-ups and ventures that become successful. It's up to the count to decide and give a final verdict, just saying.
252  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: September 02, 2022, 09:42:17 AM
Manchester United has indeed improved this season because ib the last season Manchester United, has not performed this well and could not manage to go far as there are going right now, winning last night's game was a big one for the struggling club.
Manchester united improved but they are still playing below my expectation, their performance is not really good enough, let's use yesterday's match as an example, Manchester united played well in the first half of the match, but their performance was really poor before Ronaldo entered the match, the match changed again after Ronaldo entered the match in the second half, but they were unable to secure more goals, I believe if Manchester united should continue with this performance they won't go far this season, i dont think Manchester united will win their next match if they don't improve in their performance.

I agree with you. Although Manchester United have won their last three matches, it cannot be said that their performance has been good. But coach Ten Hag is very strategic. He knows very well that his midfield and forwards are not strong enough. But their defence is very strong. And so they try to play defensively after scoring and try not to concede goals. Actually enjoying such matches is very boring. However, playing such a strategy, Manchester United is getting good results.

Ronaldo was not on the field for much time against Leicester. But his performance was good enough. Ten Hag should make proper use of an experienced player like Ronaldo. Then United's attack will be stronger.
All the recent matches where Manchester United have won because the opposers ain't really great. With a bit of luck and maintaining the defensive line after a score, Manchester United won easily. Now if they meet stronger club, their chance to win or draw is slim with this kind of performance.

Next week, with Casemiro and Ronaldo replacing Rashford and Tomcacto then Antony might take the position of Elanga. This lineup is much, much better than Rashford's shitty performance from the last game. At least, Manchester United start to improve abit slowly compared to before which went nowhere.
253  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: August 31, 2022, 09:51:48 AM
Xavi and Laporta have rebuilt the current squad quite well, Xavi had to go through a lot of struggles when resurrecting barcelona from adversity so far, although at this time barcelona has not fully recovered but Laporta has managed to adjust his team well even though it is often financially constrained , barcelona at the moment in my opinion looks quite good after the arrival of new players but we must realize that the barcelona which was rebuilt by Xavi and Laporta still has fragile foundations and could collapse at any time if financial problems are not fixed immediately.
Laporta is very serious about making Barcelona a club that can compete with Real Madrid in La Liga and other giants in the Europa League. Laporta inherited the club from Josep Maria Bartomeu with a weak condition in terms of finances and squad depth. Laporta dared to take a decision by selling some of the club's assets and also broadcasting rights to rebuild the Barcelona squad, now Barcelona has risen after his squad was inhabited by several new faces who were brought in at high prices. Barcelona are ready to compete for several prestigious titles thanks to the work of Laporta and Xavi.

Since Barcelona has become so good, they were selling their asset like Jordi Alba to get money. On the club's coaching side, they play well and have a lot of wins. On the management side, they can sell the club's assets to get more money without impacting their performance.

Since someone asks, both the coaching staff and management side are tied together. Management can operate at a net loss, temporally. Acquire players with a lot of money but as long as they get a good result, it'll pay off eventually.
254  Economy / Economics / Re: Germans are looking to firewood for energy as natural gas prices soar on: August 31, 2022, 09:31:29 AM
If only Germans start to take the nuclear energy pill sooner. Look at France, it took them the 1973 oil crisis where oil has risen nearly 300% to shallow the nuclear energy pill. Today, France derives about 70% of its electricity from nuclear energy. The amount of CO2 emission from fossil fuels for energy is another reason to consider nuclear energy.

Yes, the disposal of nuclear wastes, as well as other byproducts (contaminated water from the cooling nuclear reactor,...) is risky but heavily regulated. Compared to the dramatic climate change from CO2 emissions and the indebted to the oil cartel/fossil fuel control, I rather take my chance at nuclear energy. If more countries start to switch to nuclear energy, more money into the industry to push for more innovations, technologies and such. Really, this is our wake-up call now.
255  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 31, 2022, 09:08:22 AM

Ronaldo no longer has a future as a football player, but it is possible that he still has a future as a football coach, as has happened to some football players who have an old age they usually retire and choose to become coaches, but with a bad side Ronaldo at the end of his adventure in football made many big clubs think more about attracting him.

I think you misjudged Ronaldo, he is an extraordinary player and he still has the physical and stamina that is still fit at his age. it's just that his desire to leave Old trafford made his performance unstable. in fact, until now the management of man united still maintains ronaldo until the end of his contract ends.
I'm sure, Erik has a plan and strategy for Ronaldo and the newcomers. Currently, Erik has brought in several new players who are predicted to help the Red Devils' performance get better.
So let's see, if erik can bring the red devil squad in a better direction or not.
Ronaldo will soon depart from Manchester United according to his wish. Erik's vision for the new generation of players of Manchester United won't include Ronaldo, I think. Cristiano Ronaldo had wished to play for Chelsea but got turned down because he's old and not fit for Chelsea. But the recent game where Chelsea lost 1:2 to Southampton might change that. Chelsea is in no position to be demanding as their striker position is shoddy as hell. As long as Ronaldo doesn't go for Liverpool then I'm okay with that. A nice part away between Ronaldo and Manchester United, everyone's happy.
256  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: August 31, 2022, 08:49:33 AM
Southampton got better chance than Chelsea. They deserve to win. Chelsea played well in the first 30mins but they started displaying a poor performance towards the end. I think Chelsea were outplayed in every area. There’s no point spending unnecessarily on average players and leaving out a striker.
Chelsea performance at the beginning of the March I was thinking it was a win for Chelsea but I was suprised why they couldn't maintain that, immediately Southampton score their first goal things changed and Chelsea didn't understand their self any longer, it's really annoying for chealse losing the match yesterday, Southam got better chances yesterday, it they were able to convert them to goals I think the scores will have been more than that. Southampton shouldn't be a team chealse should be struggling with. I just hope they improve their performance in their next match against West Ham united.
I don't understand how Chelsea management would be seeing problems in Chelsea defenses and no problem in the attack and midfield. Chelsea needs a natural 9 to finish the ball at the back of the net. Chelsea's midfield is faulty also, in the absence of Kante, Galagher got red carded which means he is not organised enough for the midfield.  In the absence of Kante and Galagher, Gorginho is being raped by everyteam in the midfield.
Chelsea's midfield and especially striker position is both lacking. Long gone are the days of Drogba and Costa being the backbone of Chelsea's strikers and their replacement is nowhere near that level. If only Chelsea take up the offer from Cristiano Ronaldo to transfer from Manchester United to Chelsea. The early season buy and transfer player is now closing, and Chelsea is unlikely to open a panic buy for those positions despite the desperate need for it instead of shore up the defender line.

Manchester United wants to sign Martin Dúbravka as the potential sub goalkeeper for David de Gea. The full agreement has been reached with Newcastle under a loan deal and buy option at £5m but not mandatory. Dúbravka has agreed and will travel to Manchester United soon.

Stats wise, this dude is 33 years old and 1.9m tall. Doesn't seem like he can grow anymore under that age and Manchester United just wants a temporary option for this season.

258  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mt Gox Upcoming release of funds to its creditors vs Btc Price on: August 29, 2022, 08:09:55 PM
These days news about Mt Gox releasing of funds to its creditors is spreading on Twitter and seems very alarming to the BTC price action in coming days, as BTC price has not yet gained any momentum towards 28k which most of the so-called technical analysts predicted. I think we are most likely to hit <15k BTC in the coming days due to the release of almost 140k BTC from Mt gox.

If you search for the #mtgox at Twitter you will see how tense is the situation: https://twitter.com/search?q=%23mtgox&src=typed_query

There is this report by BRL; https://twitter.com/lab_blockchain/status/1557330341139972104
There were 22,560 creditors share total claims of $17 billion with an average claim of ~39btc. Do you think they are going to hold it ?
This is scary not only because so much money is coming into the market but also because most of this money will be immediately realised into fiat because it's of people who have been waiting for it since long. These people would immediately convert all the btc into Fiat in order to use it for their purposes, infact most of the people won't even keep it in btc or central exchanges anymore. So if this supply comes to market at the price point you can easily expect 10-12k btc.
I also think that would be the case. I'm assuming that BTC will dump dive even the claims release is partial and not everyone will get their btc at the same time. The upcoming selling pressure will be big and I think traders are selling out for them to be saved for the expected dump. I personally think that we can hit 15k atleast and 8k at worst if the support can't handle the selling pressure.
How the heck can 137k BTC crash BTC price back to 10-12k price or 15k at least or 8k at worst? I hate to repeat myself since I already made a post about this but did you know how much BTC's 24h trading volume at? 1,600,000 BTC right now and you think 137k BTC which is only at 8.5% for 1 day could crash BTC price to -50% for the 10-12k price? Or at -25% for 15k at least or -60% for 8k at worst?

It's interesting as I've heard a lot of FUD surrounding the release of these funds in recent days. Not because re-distributing thousands of Bitcoins wouldn't be bearish for the market, but instead news that isn't backed by facts or confirmed by reputable sources - hence FUD, rather than facts. It seems for now price has responded to these inaccuracies accordingly with some panic selling occurring, no doubt as intended.

Elsewhere I heard only a very small portion of funds were being released to creditors, those that opted for the "early lump sum" as opposed to the full amount, as documented by news sources. The reality is, we probably won't know when these funds are distributed until they are in the wallets of the creditors. Now we are hearing of payments coming in instalments, with again the situation dramatically changing.

Don't believe the hype...

it is very clear, 90% of them will just throw their bitcoins in a bear market because they have waited long enough for the bitcoin assets they have.

I think institutions like Fortress will need to buy more claims personally in order to average into further to their long-term investment, as they started acquiring them from creditors in March 2021 when price was at $60+ for a 20% discount. So they started buying at around $40K to $50K thinking they were buying a decent discount, while now price is half that. Are they really going to sell for a 50% loss is the question here.

I also think 90% of them already sold their claims on over a year ago, so I agree with you to some degree. But not convinced the likes of Fortress are going to sell their coins at half price after waiting a year to receive them, more likely they and buy more claims at lower prices after the significant error or acquiring them at the top of the bull market. We still have no idea how many claims have already been sold, but I imagine most.

Even if it were true, the amount isn't that much, enough for everyone to make it like a very big deal, saying it crashes BTC to half of its price and such. I just don't get why everyone keeps saying that. Follow the same narrative everywhere without even checking the BTC's 24h trading volume to get a sense. Sure, I also think it'll hurt the BTC price if they release it in one goes but not as much hurt as everyone thought.

Just feel weird all of a sudden. Like I was talking to a bunch of bots. Or people's spam posts to meet their signature campaign? Cause it's easier to say and repeat over the same thing. Your post makes me feel a bit more real.

I don't think Manchester United and Arsenal will face any problem winning their next match. Manchester United will play an away match against Leicester City. Leicester City has been in poor form this season. They have lost 3 out of 4 matches and drew one. And their position is now at the latest position in the points table. So Manchester United will win the next match very easily.
Arsenal's opponent Aston Villa is also very weak. Lost 3 out of 4 matches and won 1. As Arsenal is in very good form right now. So they won't lose points against a team like Aston Villa.
Manchester United have all the credits to win their next game which is against Leicester city. The Foxes have a very poor start of the season and facing united would not gurantee a draw for them, rather they lose because United will put high pressure on Leicester side. For Arsenal, they're on top of the table and won't step down, not when they know that Manchester city and Tottenham Hotspur are on winning streak, Mikel Arteta can't afford to lose that game against Aston Villa.
If the match between Arsenal and Manchester United where Arsenal have both Oleksandr Zinchenko and Thomas Partey then they're like to win.  Arsenal has very good passing and ball possession. Their midfield is decent. Their only lacking is in goal-scoring ability. In the most recent match where Arsenal met Fulham, the final score was only 2-1 for Arsenal cause they missed a lot of goals. Both Partey and Zinchenko sit out of this match because of injury.

Manchester United's new players can't even pronounce each other names, I doubt they can actually play with each other well or execute ten Hag tactics. They're fresh, I don't think Manchester United can stand a chance against Arsenal in the upcoming match if Arsenal got all the veterans and Partey-Zinchenko duo.

They again delayed. I think they will never repay anything.

https://en.ethereumworldnews.com/mtgox-bitcoin-repayment-plan-delayed/

Poppe also saying: They will not release.

https://twitter.com/CryptoMichNL/status/1563904662092365824

I was always a bit confused where people got a payout date to begin with. As a creditor, you’d think I’d have gotten some sort of communication to expect a payout. We haven’t even been able to choose if we want the early payout or not yet. I think this saga will drag on a long time, with an effect on the market for at least a month or two.
The effect will be minimal, in my opinion. 137k BTC isn't that much compared to BTC's daily trading volume per day, which is at 1,624,054 BTC at 24h right now (1,220,000 BTC for yesterday cause I did post about it in another thread lol). Even less than 10% of 24h trading volume! If this got dragged out for a month or two as you said then it's even better. Since they could release it in chunks instead of one goes. 137k BTC spread over a month makes little damage thanks to BTC's daily trading volume.

The main reason behind the recent BTC price dump is that the world's economy is in shamble. FED doing the fed thing again. The stock market crashed over the weekend and fearmongers over the Monday opening on the Asia stock market.
