Lol capitalization of market stays at $300 billion so who’s transferring money to fiat?thats a normal flow of market to goes up and sometimes down,and not to mention the correction happening every time the prices pumped. Yes, I am not a PH person and I don't know that game. I tried to think of myself as normal people who sometimes place the bet with my friends. Maybe both of you are master of that game so you can easily to blame other people for what they don't understand of that game because every people don't have the same understanding of one thing as both of you.

Hi guys. I have a friend who's parents are looking for alternatives and want to invest money into something other than their IRA account. They have a fixed IRA with about $100K, but they are unsatisfied with the miserable amount of interest they're getting. I mentioned to them that bitcoin is a possible alternative and one they can look into. Do you agree? Do you guys consider bitcoin a reliable and stable investment for long term holding(5-10yrs)? Is it safe to assume the only direction(barring a few dips here and there) bitcoin will eventually go from here is up? Do you foresee it going below $10K, or even $9K ever again? Is it even possible to see the lows we saw a few months ago(ie $3500) ever again?
Please give me your thoughts. IRA or Bitcoin for the long term?

I have a friend that has that kind of strategy, he's leaving the total capital in fiat and takes profit if he has. But I don't think that he has plans of rebuying.
Remember that little or big profit, it's still profit.

I understand what you mean is a difficult situation, If look at your scenario and pattern you might buy an LTC unit at a BTC price of 0.014 up and now the price of LTC has drop to BTC 0.010 but the BTC market situation up rises. Well that's a difficult your situation dude, my advice you must be a HODL and wait for the LTC climb but the risk is high and market situation does't know where the product flows later.
In this rallying market for Bitcoin,I think HODL is not applicable today unless he can afford to wait much time because so far there is no indication that altcoin will grow together with bitcoin. For me it is good to just go with Bitcoin for now and just re invest in litecoin again in future when market stables again |
