In what ways do you intend to make an impact on the world?

What in the world needs impacting?

We need to get out of our growth paradigm, towards more sustainable consumption, more local production, more organic foods, more spirituality.

We did not make press releases yet, and the definition is not codified. The basic concept is to acknowledge that we are just reaching the critical mass of bitcoin millionaires who can make an impact to the world in several ways. This impact causes the nonowners to buy, increasing the price and generating more bitcoin millionaires and a virtuous cycle.

The bitcoin millionaires who decide to make bitcoin the center of their business/life are (defined) the supernodes, and they will naturally form a global network. This networked access to the highest integrity, intelligence and talent, combined with limitless capital, will soon be perhaps the most important antitestimony to the current system.

In what ways do you intend to make an impact on the world?

Good news keep pouring in on a daily basis, still the market is paralyzed in waiting for China mode. I feel strongly that we are at a plateau that will never again be revisited, and I have now put everything I am able to into Bitcoins. Does anyone else share this feeling of impending boom?

Looks like a downtrend to me, also looking at forum posts/threads the consensus was we would revisit 600-700 by now.

Meanwhile, China is waking up and they are buying.

I'm following the japanese 2ch thread pretty regularly, and even though google translate creates pretty weird results from japanese, I feel this coin has a future now. Some positive points:

Could you link the current thread? I find it hard to navigate on that site

http://anago.2ch.net/test/read.cgi/software/1389800948/l50

Link changes every time the postcount reaches 1000 though. Monacoin.org updates the link after a while. Or you can google it.

The price might go down now, but it's not worth it. It will still take a while for the feds to sell, in the meantime the price will go back up, and then yo-yo. But really the people who will buy these coins aren't going to be dumping them on the market. They are buying to keep the supply controlled and the price high. :-)

It doesn't matter when they do it. Right now is when we have the knowledge that they will do it. Although there is some question about how much. It will definitely be 29,655BTC, but it could possibly be as much as 144,336BTC.

It's getting priced in right now.

It's being auctioned, this is not the reason for current movement.

New Knowledge is always a reason for current movement.

It clearly is not. You claiming this proves your ignorance.

I'm following the japanese 2ch thread pretty regularly, and even though google translate creates pretty weird results from japanese, I feel this coin has a future now. Some positive points:

- Number of miners is increasing steadily, japanese adoption is speeding up. (Most use CPU, so net hash is still low. 2chpool has gone from around 100 to almost 300 miners in a few days)

- Android wallet has just been released

- They are working on online wallet solutions

- Trade is happening on the monatrade site, even though volume is still low

To sum up, I am happy to be holding a fair amount of MONA  Smiley

get out, don't you have a cave called alternative cryptocurrency? (sub-forum)stay there unless you will talk about bitcoin

Sorry, posted in wrong thread.. Embarrassed

I think the error bars around the physical gold supply are much larger than commonly supposed.  People like certainty, and will seize upon a number with little regard for its provenance.

True, true.

I miss the days when this thread was filled with hero members and intelligent conversation. Now it all Jr members with their "sources" "rumors" and other useless statements.

    Wow

  Such Senior

       Wow

I'm not saying anything about myself. I simply stated I miss the days when this topic didn't contain a bunch of jr. Members running their mouths about "sources" and other meaningless bullshit. I ordered my BFL single Sept 2012 at $13 a bitcoin. I've never seen $13 again. Bought coins at $30 because I was waiting for $5, I've never seen $30 again. Now we are at $900, spread FUD, "news" and sources all you want people. You're only fooling yourself if you think we are not in this for the long haul.

So basically you are saying that every belief, news or statement that is remotely bearish is meaningless bullshit and FUD. I happen to believe we are going to the moon myself, but the fact that we have not seen $13 or $30 again isn't exactly proof that we will have never ending growth. Truth is that there are things that can fuck Bitcoin up, both short term and long term. The only thing that can fuck up your life though, is hate, so stop hating on the juniors!  Wink

Hi all, after following the recent spike and subsequent crash of Bitcoin on the news I decided to look into cryptocoins and was brought here. Joined yesterday and am really liking this thread.

I am no trader and cannot provide any technical analysis but IMO, BTC will correct further in the coming months, by how much and when I am clueless. I tend to look at Bitcoin as a digital precious metal. Back in August 2011, gold peaked at $1900 before falling to $1500. At the time, many investors thought that the bottom was reached and that the price would rise above $2000 in a matter of months. Over two years have passed and gold is still in a bear market with prices under $1200 and it will very likely correct further before we see a reverse in the current trend. I personally wouldn't be surprised if BTC goes down to the $500-600 range, possibly even $400 but it may take some time. Just my 2 cents.

The only reason gold has been a bear market the last couple of years is because it has been and still is HEAVILY manipulated to prop up the dollar.

You can not manipulate a market for so long. It is just an excuse for the failed predictions of the goldbugs.

Oh, "you" can, if you are the central bank.

I'm willing to buy mona for 10 doge each, I don't see it being worth more as this pretty much is a dead coin

Why do you want to buy a dead coin then?
