241  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Psychology of waiting on: December 18, 2017, 09:53:14 PM
Impatience leads to loss. If you trade too much (due to impatience), sooner or later it will bite you in the ass. (Based on my experience, sold at a loss)
HODL to the moon!
242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What do you guys think of ethlend, or crypto as collateral in general? on: December 18, 2017, 09:52:19 PM
I think it is a good idea to just have cryptos as collateral. Though, I am having problems thinking of the impact of the volatility on the amount of the loan that can be secured?
Is the loan going to be fiat money?
243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can i participate in the ICO without creating an Etherium address? on: December 18, 2017, 09:32:57 PM
Most of the ICOs uses Ethereum platform. Having an Ethereum address will make your life easier.
Not that hard to create at myetherwallet.com.
Just follow the steps correctly and send your ETH there. After that you can join most of the ICOs being offered.
244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what to do if bitcoin decreases? on: December 18, 2017, 03:35:52 PM
Wait for it to bottom out then buy more bitcoins.

Another way is to invest it on stable altcoins (LTC as ex.) then buyback when it hits bottom.
245  Economy / Economics / Re: Maybe governments can stop bitcoin after all on: December 18, 2017, 03:15:22 PM
It has been already tried before, people went underground and bitcoin still thrived.
The idea now has taken hold on people and the governments will have a hard time dislodging it.

Best thing governments can do is regulate it.

Freedom provided by bitcoin is its selling point. Though, in the end, we still have to work with the government so, regulation is the key and not banning.
246  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why BTC value is growing day by day ? on: December 18, 2017, 03:08:03 PM
1. It is the original crypto. Will always have the first mover advantage.
2. Limited supply.
3. Lots of going on news around its value, free publicity.
248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: $DRGN Dragonchain is live!!! on: December 17, 2017, 02:45:44 PM
Does it still has involvement with Disney?

What I read was they started as part of Disney and then moved out.
They are separate organizations now.
249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Huge Altcoin rally underway on: December 17, 2017, 02:40:43 PM
Correction should happen soon, probably when BTC hits the 20K mark.
This pace is unsustainable in the long run. (FUD)

Happy with my portfolio, but not that secured with them. All top 10 altcoins went 2-10x this month.
250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethlend the quickest 10x on: December 15, 2017, 06:14:30 PM
Ethlend should break the $100M cap today. To the moon for the early investors!
251  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin fever on: December 15, 2017, 06:08:07 PM
We can call it a fever as it has been viral news around the world nowadays. This, in turn, attracts people from across all life to dabble with cryptos now.
Everyone now wants to be part of the action on this gold mine.
252  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Cash is better than Bitcoin. on: December 14, 2017, 08:10:29 PM
Cash will not be as useful as it was in the future.

Several progressive countries are moving on and going cashless.
Cashless means going digital but not necessarily Bitcoin (blockchain).

Bitcoin (blockchain technology) is much more on putting more grease on payments made globally not locally.
The technology still needs to be perfected, but once it matures, surely it will replace cash and everyone will go cashless.

Personally, I find bitcoin liberating, since I do not have to open bank accts for it (which entails a lot of paperwork, hands over my money to some sleazy institution) and I can send it everywhere in the globe.
253  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptoworld? Is it overheated? on: December 14, 2017, 07:54:09 PM
In the last days we saw huge increase in several coins. And for many of them those jumps were unexpected. For me it seemed that huge money came into market. We are getting bigger, but at the same time I found that I loose control over what is going on. Before the market was easier to follow. Every jump had its cause (exchagne, partnerships, etc.). Nowadays it seems that hungry newbies with millions of dollars came to the market. Now it grows due to hunger, but what will happen when those new players jump out of crypto?

I feel you. Too much gains with no news on why. Seems everyone just jumping on everything they see.
254  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do Atheists hate Religion ? on: December 14, 2017, 07:28:51 PM
It is probably due to bad experiences with fanatics.
Religion does serve a purpose for peoples' lives. Fanatics though shove their dogmas to other people.

Hating though is a strong word. What the world really need is more understanding and tolerance to other people's belief.
255  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HARDWARE WALLET - ITS YOUR MONEY PLEASE SECURE on: December 14, 2017, 05:21:52 PM
Securing your assets is the first thing.

Just bought a hardware wallet - ledger nano s - how do I know if my ledger has not been tampered with?
256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Be patient for your profit on: December 14, 2017, 05:19:31 PM
Learned this lesson the hard way. Had some losses on my early investments.
Thing I have learned also is to make use of news here as there a lot of opportunities for investments.

One thing I learned also is always have some money on hand for correction events. Easy time to make some money.
257  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to do if Bitcoin Price Crashes on: December 14, 2017, 05:16:57 PM
If it goes down to that level, buy up some more.
Value should go up still as bitcoin has branding now.
258  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin transaction cost is too high on: December 14, 2017, 06:58:13 AM
What is happening?
will it change after adjustment since the transaction cost is being affected by the crazy price rise
we should use altcoins like Ether or Litecoin for transaction or buying other new coin

Problem is in our country we cannot buy ETH and LTC directly and have to exchange with BTC first.
OTC is way too much risk and hassle to do.
259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH, LTC, DASH, XRP -why all so high on: December 14, 2017, 06:53:40 AM
Lucky guys that have held their faith on these altcoins since 2014.
I have just started but missed on the LTC run. Was planning on getting some but had no spare cash. Regretting not taking it up when it was around 40-50 range.
260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Why is ETHERDELTA NOT WORKING on: December 14, 2017, 06:51:57 AM
I am also having issues with ED, seems with the ongoing congestion in the Ethereum network, it slows down the exchange.
I cannot move some of my tokens due to this issue.
