241  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who would actually believe celebs promoting crypto? on: February 26, 2019, 03:58:30 PM
Celebrities will promote anything for money and they rarely use the product themselves.

We have people like Lebron James promoting Kia, do you really he thinks he drives a Kia around?

Especially Mayweather, this guy loves money and material possessions so he won't turn down anything.
242  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lessons from poker on: February 26, 2019, 03:50:42 PM
I'm not much of a poker player myself.  It is definitely a mental game that requires a lot of skill.  Whether that is staying calm, reading your opponents, or just making the right moves more often than not.
243  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: There is always a chance on: February 24, 2019, 08:50:30 PM
This is one reason people continue to play the lottery.  Even though the odds are stacked against them astronomically they go in with an attitude of someone has to win so why can't it be them.
244  Economy / Economics / Re: Will people come back to gold on: February 24, 2019, 08:39:43 PM
People always made the hope with the gold is more than Bitcoin investment Vikas gold is more stable than Bitcoin from a long time ago so definitely if the blockchain technology will not been useful for the people they will return to Gold very easily this will definitely happen if the cryptocurrency field collapse.

Based on history we know gold will still be valuable 500 years from now,  its difficult to imagine bitcoin being the same that far in the future.  The smart move is to invest in both.
245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Why are profits so low? on: February 23, 2019, 05:15:16 PM
But the great thing about running your own business is that you can just keep reinvesting the profits so you don't have to pay any taxes.  Amazon has done this for years and often pays zero dollars in taxes because they keep reinvesting.
246  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: the odds of winning the casino on: February 23, 2019, 05:05:21 PM
Wherever, whenever, whatever gambling games you play the winning chance are. all the same. The purpose of having your own gambling sites is to earn money that is why some countries doesn't legalize gambling games. Winning in gambling is all about luck

Your comment makes no sense, games have very different odds and the best ones have a house edge lower than 1%.  It is very helpful to have a basic understanding of math and probability before going into gambling.
247  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to find a mentor for trading on: February 23, 2019, 04:42:15 PM
I doubt you'll find anyone that is just willing to hand out their secrets for free.  It takes a lot of time to acquire the knowledge and skills to be a successful trader and unless you have something to offer I doubt you will find anyone willing to mentor you.
248  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin gambling that stressed me out (i wanna quit) on: February 23, 2019, 04:29:46 PM
You need to go in with a mindset that you will be fine if you lose the amount you are betting.  If you are stressed out then you are clearly betting too much and should walk away.
249  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin investors now moving to gold on: February 23, 2019, 04:28:33 PM
It doesn't hurt to keep some of your investments in gold.  In case of a major attack on the electric system the only currency that will have value will be precious metals.
250  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: OPSkins - Why people are using it? on: February 21, 2019, 01:57:33 PM
Kind of ironic? You are on a forum that revolves around virtual coins that aren't physical.  These items just act as another good in the growing digital marketplace.  I'm not a fan of new video games myself because of all the add ons and dlc content you are forced to purchase.
251  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is completely legal in at least 111 countries, and illegal in only 10 on: February 21, 2019, 01:34:16 PM
Legal doesn't always mean the country is favorable towards crypto, a lot of these countries tend to have very heavy regulations on crypto.  Especially the regulations on privacy coins.  The main reason they made it legal is to bring in more business that they can tax.
252  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: why many traders(including me) not getting success on: February 21, 2019, 01:24:58 PM
Everyone can't just make profits, in order for someone to win in trading someone has to lose.  So just remember when you make money you are actively taking money from others.
253  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling - Eating your Brain and Money on: February 21, 2019, 01:18:24 PM
Do not get discouraged, a few days are lost, but others are won and won big! The important thing is to raise your head and move forward, life gives many opportunities to get up and if life gives those opportunities believe me the game will also give them! Wink

This has to be some of the worst advice I've seen anyone give to a gambling addict.
Did you really just say that he should just try again another time, because other people have won it big?

Follow that advice and you'll eventually lose everything you have.

Get some professional help and completely quit gambling without worrying about the losses you've already made.
You'll save more money by not gambling any more.

You are so right,  heavy addicts tend to believe that their next win is always around the corner.  The responsible thing to do is set aside a budget each week of money that you can lose without any problems.
254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will ethereum get to $500 this year? on: February 20, 2019, 04:21:44 PM
Everything can happen, i think ETH will pass $500 in this year. Start from today ETH price will continues to rise. Grin

My prediction is $1000, we still have a long time left for this year (over 10 months)

We've seen crazier rises so that wouldn't be anything special compared to before.
255  Economy / Speculation / Re: When Will Btcoin Get Back To $20k up ? on: February 20, 2019, 04:05:38 PM
All you have to do is be patient, it may take a few years but bitcoin will be over $20k eventually.  Adoption will increase while the inflation rate will drop.
256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Why are profits so low? on: February 20, 2019, 04:00:56 PM
Yesterday we had a 500 dollars increase in bitcoin price which is something rare because we didn't see it much these last 4-5 months.

Keep mining and keep the faith in bitcoin, I say in 2021 miners will be the most happiest persons on earth.

With every price increase comes an increase in difficulty, the profit margins will always be really small.  The only way to make real money in mining is to go speculate on the new coins with a low marketcap.
257  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 20, 2019, 03:50:37 PM
I'm perplexed why so many people continue to jump into mining.  You are nearly always better off just buying coins instead.
258  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk calls cryptocurrency 'brilliant' while predicting end of paper money.. on: February 20, 2019, 03:47:24 PM
Elon Musk is already one of the people who thinks about the good for our world and we all know what he does
Because he actually understands technology and not like wallstreet old people that just babbling asked for opinion and they have no idea what they talking about.
Reality Smiley

Elon is still a business man, I don't see him helping people out of poverty.  I am one of those people that believe we should conquer all the problems on earth before we even attempt to travel to mars.

He also gets way too much credit.  Engineers that are behind the scenes are doing most of the work while Elon is just the public figure.
259  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 20, 2019, 03:39:37 PM
I used to be a much bigger sports fan, I still watch games every now and then but I was wasting too much time watching sports.  Might life doesn't change in the slightest if my team wins.  Some of these fans take it too far.  you know its bad when you see fans of the opposing team getting murdered. Saw a video of this in South America from last year.
260  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: the house always win???? on: February 20, 2019, 03:36:43 PM
Winning is hard when there is a house edge, when you win, you can only make it temporary but in the long run, you'll still lose.
What I did is just enjoy gambling as I know I have no future when I gambled without an edge, games are just entertaining but not profitable.
Yest, in fact casinos run on their house edge, if they will remain fair, I do not think that they will continue to run their casinos for a single week, therefore for running a casino in a good way and to fulfill and pay all the dues they must keep their house edge but in such a way that the gambler may not eve feel it and they do not lose their confident while playing gambling there.

There has to be a house edge or there would be no casinos left in business, lol.

Maybe someone could create some type of decentralized platform where you could duel another person and have 50/50 odds with no house cut.
