Freiburg continue to make me very surprised in this season. Normally, I didn't see them showing a this great performance until this season. But now, we are seeing them at the third place being right behind Dortmund. And considering their general effort so far, their ending the season at one of top four places wouldn't surprise me either. They are one of the deserving teams to join the Champions League directly. And the last team to join the tournament like this would be Leverkusen I guess. These are just assumptions taking the current situation into account of course.

Something is really odd about the Newcastle - Manchester United match now. Because as far as I can see, Rangnick has made a really interesting choice in terms of the tactic for this match. They have a 4-2-2-2 and we see the Greenwood - Ronaldo duo on the front. And Newcastle scored an early goal and they are keeping their lead now. As it is halftime, there is enough time for Rangnick to find a solution. And I hope that they don't really lose even one point in this match.

Newcastle - Manchester United match is near starting. I'm favouring Manchester United to win like almost everyone. Because I see no reason for myself to believe in Newcastle to get even one point in this match. It is like that they are racing Norwich to become the worst team of the Premier League. It is really weird to see Newcastle being a loser and one of the richest clubs at the same time.  I'm pretty sure that they are looking forward to seeing the start of the transfer window. |

It looks like Juventus can really get themselves out of a bad situation in the Serie A this season. After starting to get very satisfying results on the last weeks, they have climbed to the 5th place. And there is not a big point gap with especially the 3rd and 4th-placed teams in the standings now. Besides, Juventus have a home match against Napoli next time. This is a really big one for Juventus and we will see how they are willing to end in top 4.

It was a great day for the top teams in the standings except West Ham. Because they lost to Southampton 3-2 home. West Ham never managed to get ahead even once. They just desperately tried to equalize the score all the time. But after getting ahead the third time, Southampton succeeded in keeping their score advantage until the referee blowed the final whistle. West Ham already had a bad form lately and this caused them to be in even a more troubling condition.

We are witnessing that Inter have really made a great choice by bringing Edin Dzeko after selling Lukaku for a great deal of money to Chelsea. Lukaku had two great and very productive years at Inter before leaving. And after his departure, Inter have signed Dzeko for free from Roma. And this must be the most profitable deal ever for Inter considering his performance in this season so far.  He got 8 goals and 4 assists in 19 Serie A matches so far. And in 6 Champions League matches, he scored 3 goals and made 1 assist. |

Real Madrid and Sevilla. These two teams are the biggest candidates to be able to reach the La Liga championship at the end of the season. And Real Madrid have a much bigger opportunity ahead of them rather than Sevilla. As Sevilla wasted an opportunity to close the gap a little more with Real Madrid the last time, Real Madrid are still at a safe condition in the standings. But they would most probably have a hard time keeping their incredible form until the end. Sevilla's task is to benefit from probable point losses for Real Madrid.

We see an Inter - Milan rivalry again for being the champions of the Serie A. We witnessed this in the last season and Inter started pulling away a lot after a point. This time, Milan will focus on not letting the same thing happen again consecutively. As they are out of the European tournaments now too, their main focus is going to be the Serie A of course. While Inter have the Champions League to focus on also, I hope that Milan could benefit from it and we can see a different title winner this time.

Arsenal really shouldn't mess things up now and they should make their decisions very carefully. They are on a great run and having a perfect season now. If they rush things, then this would cost them big. I know that Aubamenyang is not preferred in the lineup anymore. And they should solve this problem immediately to prevent a probable in-team problem by sending him from the team quickly. And I hope that they can choose a really good striker for the team. In the other case, they might start having bigger problems on scoring and this would make the rest of their season terrible unfortunately.

Atletico Madrid are making me very surprised in the current season. Because they don't play like a solid team now. They are struggling a lot these days and this is not a good look for the last champions in the La Liga. Actually, they didn't make a bad start to the league. But on the last weeks, something big happened about this team and this affected their performance very negatively. I hope that they can find a way out. They are not much different than Barcelona now.

I don't know how many seasons we will wait for the presence of a strong competitor in the Bundesliga, even though Dortmund is a competitor for Bayern Munich but they are not strong enough to stop Bayern Munich all this time, at the beginning of every season Dortmund continue to put pressure on Bayern Munich, but slowly they are instead suffered a setback and away from the championship competition, I think now dormund have money, a good squad and even have a goal-scoring Haalaand but somehow they always fail to stoping bayern munchen...!
I hope that we don't wait for many more years for Dortmund or some other team to end Bayern Munich's dominance once and for all. Especially Dortmund can make it happen if they really fight for it. But even it wouldn't be enough for them. Because I don't think that they can compete with Bayern Munich for the title and achieve it by their current lineup. They need to make some important changes in their lineup and strengthen it. In this way, I can really believe that they can achieve the Bundesliga title. Does the current composition of players feel lacking in achieving the ambition of winning the Bundesliga title? I don't think there's anything wrong with Dortmund's first-team squad. the rotation of players in the team when playing matches that have a short time lag may be still less balanced. the main players on the team with the players who are the reserves still lack the same experience. because sometimes we see Dortmund playing very well, but also sometimes mediocre. maybe, this team's problem is related to the quality of players who are indeed not balanced between the main and reserve squads. because seeing Dortmund's appearance at the start of the season was quite good actually. To be honest, I'm not contented with Dortmund's defense players. Their biggest problem currently is definitely their conceding many goals. Their lack in defense causes them to make simple point losses against weaker teams. For example, they were really bad at defending against Hertha Berlin the last time and this cost them three points. And the point difference with Bayern Munich has gone up to 9. Dortmund should focus on finding a solution for it. |

Arsenal seem to be ready for the probable offers for their striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. And we know already about some of the contenders that want to sign him. For example, Barcelona seem to be one of the most serious teams about signing him in this January. Because they would really make use of a solid striker now to play more effective in attacking. Aubameyang would still do a great job.
Auba has been a disaster at Arsenal, he’s probably past his best now & doesn’t have the motivation to fight any more. He just doesn’t have the desire to push himself. Arsenal should cut their losses & sign somebody younger with drive & determination to better themselves & improve. It’s best for both parties if he moves on. Aubameyang is definitely performing bad now. He was showing a great performance in his first times at Arsenal. And I appreciated his performance a lot when it comes to scoring. But now, there is a huge decrease in his effort and he is too bad at finishing. Maybe that's because he wants to leave Arsenal and that's why he is performing like this. We have a Harry Kane example in the end. But I still think that it's because he is not good anymore. |

I've heard some interesting thing about Kyrie Irving if it is true of course. Firstly, we know that he is still so stubborn about not being vaccinated. Because of his current attitude, he can't play in any of the games in this season of NBA. However, I've heard that he wanted to play in some of the games but didn't want to play in the rest of the games. And Nets didn't accept a request like this of course and decided to leave him out of the lineup. This is a so funny request by Irving. |

It was a great effort by Milan against Empoli yesterday. And I certainly think that they completely deserved to win by 4-2 in this away match. To tell the truth, I was expecting Milan to have big difficulties in defeating their opponent here. And it was the case for some time in the match too. But after some point, Milan started taking control of the match and increased the goal difference to even 3. Empoli's penalty goal wasn't enough for them to be hopeful about at least one point and here we are. Milan follow Inter by 4 points in the standings.

The EFL Cup match, Liverpool - Leicester was very amusing to me. It was no different than a Premier League match actually. There was a high level competition between these teams. After seeing Liverpool's starting eleven, I thought that Leicester would be able to eliminate them. And they were really near doing it also. They brought the score to 3-1 at some point and took a deep breath. But Liverpool really made a great comeback in the last minute. And by the penalties, they managed to eliminate Leicester. But it was really a great match to me.

Today, there are three EFL Cup matches and two of them are quite big matches. Liverpool are going to play against Leicester in Anfield. Liverpool are the favourite side here by far actually. But as it is a cup match, we never know if we can see some surprises happening. Maybe this cup is not as prestigious as the FA Cup but I still expect Liverpool to have their usual lineup and fight for a win. And Tottenham have a home match against West Ham. I expect this match to be very competitive. As Tottenham are stronger than before now with Conte, I think they will manage to eliminate West Ham.

Erling Haaland is no more than a dream for Newcastle among the big candidates to sign him I'm afraid. Because having too much money doesn't guarantee you that you can buy whatever player whenever you want. Teams like Real Madrid, Manchester City, PSG etc. will always be one step ahead of Newcastle as long as Newcastle don't reach their level of success. But I'm pretty sure that Newcastle will build a solid team anyway and start with a clean slate. |

All people have started eyeing the Sevilla v Barcelona match tonight. It is going to be another tough match for Sevilla after defeating Atletico Madrid in a really tough and competitive match by 2-1. Sevilla are being favoured by a close gap according to bookmakers. I suppose that this is a match that is very likely to end up with a draw by goals from each side. I think that Sevilla will score first. And they will keep a 1-0 score advantage for a long time. And Barcelona will manage to score the equalizer and it will end up with a 1-1 draw.
The exact same thing I predicted happened last night. Sevilla scored first and Barcelona scored the equalizer. And there was a 1-1 tie at the end of the match. But the thing I wasn't waiting for was that Barcelona played at a much higher level than Sevilla. And I believe that they really deserved to defeat their competitor here. They should have been able to make it especially after the red card Sevilla got quite early in the second half. |
