again, when i bought a mercury i knew it was going to be upgradable, but not a one time fire sale that lasted 3 minutes and couldn't even pay properly. not cool.

^-- Agree with the spirit of that.

Orama, do you guys have any comment as to why the business model is to still take 100% payment for things which are in the distance for shipping? Why not a 25/75, 60/40, etc? I could understand a few days for handling time, but when you're talking weeks or a month, there's capital gains involved.

I don't follow sorry, please elaborate on what you mean.

Some up front, some before delivery.  A lot of people lost buying miners @ spot prices 3x lower.

246  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Need to sell my miner can't use Neither Paypal nor ebay. on: November 15, 2013, 01:38:50 PM
too many scams on Craigslist too, not a good alternative, how long before I can start selling on this forum?

I hope someone comes up with good suggestions.

sorry, you are most likely a scammer as well.

Hi, this is my first post. I tried selling my 100GH/s miner on ebay for the last couple of weeks without any luck, only scammers won the auction and never paid, and to make things worse Paypal limited my account. Good thing I didn't have any money in it. Now, can someone please recommend a good place where I can get a decent price for my miner? something like Bitmit that gets good traffic and there's a good chance of getting the best price for my ASIC miner, any help would be greatly appreciated. Undecided

you are brand new to the forums, so i suggest you sell it in person on craigslist or something

By the way, thinking today about Bitcoin getting thru the $400's.  Chinese who have been buying with gusto may have slacked off in the $400 range as the numeral 4 is bad mojo for them.  I would expect once it hits $500 it will take off at an even greater incline.

BTC in China is currently at ¥2656 Wink. They broke the 400 yuan barrier LONG ago Wink
400 yuan isnt even close to 400 USD, and 2656 yuan is 435 USD, so they broke 400 around the same time, not looooong ago....  Just sayin'

I said 400 yuan barrier, not 400 USD barrier Tongue. Pretty sure they don't use USD in the Chinese exchanges...

typical american thinking....lol

Guys!

Could you stop bitching about Avanger and the other impotent trolls and turn back to some technical discussion about KNC?

This thread becoming boring....

You can't help someone how doesn't want. Trolls just cryin' and doesn't want to solve the problems....

Begging PLEASE, PLEASE STOP IT!!!!!!

 Grin

yes! like how i can get my hands on one bloody upgrade module!

you know, when they said these things would be upgradeable, i assumed that meant longer than 3 minutes on November 12th......

any news on a third knc batch coming? i know they said they would take a break if other hardware manufacturers didnt introduce more hashing power, but thats clearly whats going to happen....soooo, maybe a december batch?

can you at least wait until HF has a working prototype before saying they are a 'Producer' in your sig?   Tongue

haha, its for the contest. could win a baby jet (if they actually ever get released)

Now I'm kinda bummed about getting the upgrade board. Instead of $1,000 for the board, I really paid $1,300. Of course the market would continue to spike the day after I spent my BTC! haha

Suggestion for KNC's GEN2... Native WiFi   Wink Wink Wink
a small pci slot on the controller board...and a 5 dollar 10/100 wifi card...

Or USB. The Linux SOC really limits me here at school. I'm already breaking like 5 rules with this on the network because as a standalone "computer", it breaks the support device policy.

you can always sell it to me! and make a little profit...

hmm, waking up to another price increase is nice.
hey you'll probably make more profit than us miners.. feel better now that you bought those bitcoins what.. less than 24 hours ago and you've already made a cool profit.

hang on to them, here in Australia bitcoins are getting some pace.. probably better to say it's going VIRAL.

lol, so true man. yeah gonna put them in storage for a year and see what happens

paper wallet i hear is the best, but how would i go about creating one? never done that before....

Here are a few methods I know of.

www.bitaddress.org - You can save the html page and run on an offline computer.

http://casascius.wordpress.com/2013/01/26/bitcoin-address-utility/ - I still use this on a newly formatted laptop as it's easy and tracks the addresses I've made.

https://bitcoinpaperwallet.com/ - This paper wallet came out a few months ago, but I never could get the scale/sizes right with my printer.

thank you!

260  Economy / Lending / Re: 5btc loan needed for bills and car repair on: November 13, 2013, 03:13:09 AM
It seems people have misunderstood what loans are for. It is not for re-investing.... that is what scammers do. Often they end up in more debt then they started with. And never end up paying anything back.

Since my car is what helps me make income, it makes sense to get a loan to repair it to continue to make more money.

It seems most of the people replying and flagging me are scammers.  Even if they have positive rep. Undecided

I still need this loan.

how about you go get a normal loan or a credit card instead of begging on a bitcoin forum.
