Another fork another scam when the hell will this end?
Yes, I think the same. There are such many forks of bitcoin for the last time. It's not normal situation. It's look like scam. Based on what premises do you say that? I’m watching the project closely from day 1 and I feel confident this project is real and will make stake holders happy. I can never be sure before it happens, but honestly what are the risks? We simply get free coins that can grow in value a lot...

You have good forks and you have bad ones. You can’t say in general. This one looks very genuine and solid to me.

Hey another bitcoin fork! Haven't had enough of those ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) I feel eventually we'll run out of reasonable variations that can be made to bitcoin and still maintain interest from people from all this 'forking'. I mean, why not just start a new blockchain? If the project offers some real upgrades of bitcoin, I personally don't mind. It feels good to be getting coins for free especially if there is potential of exponential growth ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

How can you call it dead? Just ridiculous...

Very noble project! Thumbs up

Is there date for the fork yet? Can be possible that it is in 2018?
Given the holidays time, I'd expect it to take place rather in 2018.

We of course don't know how much BCA will cost in the market, but to give an example:
The current price of Bitcoin Cash is $1900. If we multiply this by the total bounty of BCA which is 10,000 we get a total value of $19,000,000 for the bounty.
If we take the Bitcoin Gold rate of $300, then the total value would be $3,000,000 for the bounty.
Either way you slice it, these are huge numbers and this is currently the only bounty for a fork.
Please join BCA bounty http://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2567797 and our telegram : http://t.me/bitcoinatom
If BCA would manage to reach only half of bitcoin gold market cap, we're speaking of substantial amounts for those who join bounty or claim BCA based on their BTC holdings. I'm very excited to do both.

Do you have an estimated date for the guide?
I think they will publish it this week. i 'll be waiting for this date because I am very interested in the Atom guide Yes, me too because there few information about this fork I think it could be useful to know more about the fork even they can publish the dates of the fork do you think is it necessary a whitepaper? maybe people who never takes part on a fork need it Do forks usually have whitepaper? Depends. But Bitcoin Atom have provided enough information in this ANN and on their website, so I don't find white paper a must. I think they will be releasing more info as the fork date will be getting closer.

I'm wondering whether this holiday time is right for the fork, perhaps I would wait until mid Jan

I've foreseen the rise of xrp 2 months ago and yes good for you bagholders. If you hold if for few more years you won't regret. Xrp is really a great and strong project and will continue to skyrocket.
investors need to learn how to ignore that tickle when price goes up and hodl longer ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Any news on fork date?
I'm quite impatient too, this could be the new BCH

It's a challenging bounty campaign, which is good for the BCA price once it goes live. Either bounty hunters will put all their efforts to promote this project and make it really widespread or they don't and only little coins will be distributed as bounty which will again only help the price of BCA. Way to go!

pretty scrap project information and missing a lot of nianse. It seems quite interesting and promising but does not inspire trustDo you have a telegram?
We strive to provide as much information as possible - can I ask you to share what's missing in the original ANN? Will be happy to adjust it accordingly - thanks ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Would be really nice if you could add some images into this ANN thread, your website-wise, which looks really great btw. And perhaps more detailed description of BCA features to make it easy to understand also for users with non-tech background. Thank you for your suggestions bitcoinman93, we're already preparing visuals to be published here on BTT and we shall surely elaborate on atomic swaps and HTLCs either ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Good to know!

Safe bet is to go for one of the big ICOs (maybe at least 1 million$ worth of interest) with big names behind the project. That way it is much more likely that you will have a good project and no dodgy business happens.
Do you know any big ICOs going on in the US? You sound like a SEC/FED employee looking for someone based in the USA not playing by the rules. Nice try. haha spot on

I happened to encounter the project called BITCOIN ATOM few days back. It's not exactly an airdrop, but a bitcoin fork. I've been studying their website and they look promising to me. But it would be good to hear someone else's opinion on that project too, as I'm not 100% persuaded yet... their web is https://bitcoinatom.io. let me know what you think
