Hey, at least they went to the effort of writing a nice post to rope us in.  It is a nice break from all of the noobs posting an address and basically just asking for money Smiley
242  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Multiply Your Coins Up to x7 on: June 12, 2015, 08:17:54 PM
yeah, a noobie received payment, but lets wait until a member or sr member gets paid lol.  I think this is an obvious scam and we should stay away.  33% lol.
243  Economy / Gambling / Re: yes i know it's provably fair but ... on: June 12, 2015, 08:13:36 PM
Actually i am playing dice right now, but sometimes i back to roullete in a best trusted site, and
i earn 0.1 using the same play i played at other sites.

now it caused me another question playing the dice game....

i am playing with chage 70

and if i bet with minor amount, the streak win appears very usually, also appears streak lose, but it
just reaches to 3, or 4 as a lot, it happens sometimes, and i learn what you taught me, this really
could happend

now when i am writing this post, i set it auto play with very minor amount too , 0.000002 if i
remember it correctly, however, i forget to set the multiply on loss to 0 , i left it to 2 (   Cry
i know this obvious explode the balance ... )

and my sister came to my room and talked to me, so i couldn't noticed it neither,
and magic happens, now i have got the epic streak lose that i didn't see anytime when i bet
with minor amount, i know i have to verify the p.f. and i also trust the site i am playing,
someone could help me to understand this probability relate to the higher bet ?
is because the house edge ?
( i have noticed that the streak lose appears more often if i bet higher )

Thank u in advance...

p.s. see u my 0.12 btc ... i will remember u.... should i suggest to them leave the "multiply when lose to 0" ?

OK so the way the math works out is like this:

For your first bet, you have a 50% chance to win.  OK now lest say you have this streak:WLLWWWWLWLLWLLWWWLLLLLLLLLLLLL(X)

X is your next bet.  What are the chances that you will win?  Drum roll please:

50%.

I am very careful with online gambling.  I think there is a chance that every site fudges the numbers when they think they can get away with it.  My method is this: I don't try to win money, I look at it as an entertainment expense.  I never lose more what I plan to, and when that is gone I am done.  I never set aside more money than I would miss.  Sometimes I come out ahead with this, usually not.  But make no mistake: the house always wins.  So please just have fun but never use more money than you can afford to lose.  If losing effects your life in any way then it is too much.

Your dice example here does look a bit shady, but it really is possible. The only way is to check the PF system before every bet.  IMO if oyu put it on autobet then you are asking for trouble.
244  Economy / Gambling / Re: Biggest streak that you won in the end on: June 12, 2015, 08:06:01 PM
I actually used this system on a game called Kingdom of Loathing to bet against other players.  Once it crapped out on me because I didn't have enough meat to back it up (meat is the in game currency).  But the next time I tried it I went through about 5 mils meat to win.  And the profit was so small that I decided that it was a waste of time lol.

Another request here for provably fair.  It looks like fun but without a better thought out site I will pass for now.  Best of luck!
246  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Invest and Win [Referral Contest] on: June 12, 2015, 05:24:04 PM
So what kind of contest is it?  If it is golf then I will sit this one out, I never been golfing before.  I am better at bowling, but I think miniature golf is where I really shine, so why do  game of that?
247  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: 300% Return 7 Days! the most simple Ponzy on the board! on: June 12, 2015, 05:21:55 PM
FYI it is spelled "Ponzi", you might want to get at least that much correct on your thread title.  It will make people more confident in your scam.
248  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: clould mining ?? on: June 12, 2015, 01:07:27 AM
I'm pretty interested in cloud mining but I am also skeptical about the profit it may give. The site seems to be shady as the structure is very simple. More on an 'effortless' site if you'd ask me. It just makes people go away.

cloudmining is dead to be honest. If you see offers, be aware that it's a ponzi and take it as a gamble.

Hashnest is neither dead nor a ponzi.  The ROI isn't very good right now, I am waiting until bitcoin price rises (if it does).

I got teh GSW, but I think it is too close to bet on!  Both teams are really good.
250  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Use cases. What do you actually use Bitcoin for? on: June 11, 2015, 06:06:47 PM
I voted for other.  I guess it is just a hobby at this point.  There is no specific reason that I must use bitcoin, but I am a massive nerd and it is just way too cool to not have some!

Interesting, it is not that often that a casino launches without a provably fair label.  This site looks good but I am going to wait for other people to try it first.  I suggest you guys make a provably fair system, many people will not go to the site without this.

This is very interesting.  I considered using them, but the markup on btc was so high in my area that I decided to just do a bank transfer.  If I want to be anonymous in the future I can just use a mixer and a new wallet or whatever.

I can't tell for sure but I get the idea that the OP is pulling our leg a bit Wink
256  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin isn’t the future of money — it’s either a Ponzi scheme on: June 10, 2015, 06:10:43 AM
Woah, holy crap lol.  What happened to the day when journalists actually had to know something about what they were writing about?  That article is sheer nonsense.  It seems like a smear piece because it is hard to believe that anyone could actually be that obtuse.  No one wants to spend bitcoins?  I would love to use them more often if I could find retailers to accept them.  And they are only good for drugs?  Absurd.  I couldn't read the whole thing because I was laughing too much.  I am shocked to see that the publication date was not 4-1-15.
257  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is Cloud Mining Really a Ponzi Scheme? on: June 10, 2015, 06:02:40 AM
I must disagree that cloud mining is not profitable.  Using hashnest I was getting a pretty good return, then when the price of hash went up I sold.  Their market has no transaction fee.  I didn't have to wait until ROI, because the hash does not expire on a specific date.  It expires when it no longer exceeds the maintenance fee.

If a cloud miner charges a maintenance fee that is generally a good thing.  Of course there are many shady looking sites out there but to say that cloud mining is not profitable by nature is incorrect.  You just have to understand what the investment is and how to best use it.

DO your own calculations and decide for yourself.
258  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banks building new sevices using blockchain tech on: June 10, 2015, 05:57:21 AM
I am not sure what to make of this.  It seems good because the technology of bitcoins is becoming more well known.  However the bank is using the tech against bitcoin isn't it?  Maybe it will get press and be a good thing after all.  If banks are using bitcoin tech it must be pretty solid right? (is what the average person might think)
259  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MasterCard: Denounces Bitcoin on the Same Day Exec Joins Bitcoin Company on: June 10, 2015, 12:59:55 AM
That is a really interesting coincidence.  I wonder what the plan is for them, are they trying to spread fud?  Maybe the guy just took the job and there is no relation between him and his former company?
260  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: mastercard attacking Bitcoin on: June 10, 2015, 12:54:47 AM
Mastercard got frustrated and they feel they have no future so that is the reason of FUD, BTCitcoin is the future crypto currency and has bright future ahead with so many advantages like it's low transaction fee and super fast processing time.it seems Mastercard admit of it future failure by this kind of statement.

Yes they are so frustrated that they have started making negative publicity of the bitcoin and behaving like non professionals..Ridiculous.. The people who are using bitcoin knows the advantages of bitcoin as it is the simplest way to transact and that is the reason it makes bitcoin so attractive.

Yep.  Bitcoins could potentially cut into credit card profits by quite a lot.  And I am not talking about taking a loan from credit cards, but just using them for convenience.  I read somewhere that they generally get 2% of the transaction costs.  That seems astronomical to me and they are going to fight to keep that money rolling in.
