Interesting vol today on bittrex, it looks like this could go up at any moment and any time, better set some low buy orders in case someone wants to dump.
242  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: I am out of the mining game :( on: January 27, 2015, 01:01:45 PM
Not sure if i will ever make ROI with the cloud mining i purchased, but at least i dont have a power bill on steroids anymore.

Home mining was a fun experience, and i never regret positive journeys.

Cloud mining has the advantages of not having to deal with the equipement, software, bills ect. but it is not as fun as you don't have much to do, just pay for the ghs, collect your earnings and hope the cloud mining business doesn't close Grin.

Cloud mining is defendly a plus for those who still want to receive  daily payouts to get ROI now in days seems like a long journey, other then that just buy btc and trade a little im sure they would earn more btc then just getting a rig on a data center.

246  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Coinbase be Americas Major Exchange? on: January 27, 2015, 12:54:13 AM
coinbase is defendly on the eye of portafolio investors, just today i had a few ppl talk to me about coinbase and bitcoin, how coinbase brings a legit exchange trading to bitcoin, since most of the none btc user fear btc trading b/c of none regulated issues.

coinbase is on a great road for more adoption and trading of btc.

Bob took a big SHIT OVER THIS coin, swerve this at all costs trust me, I lost thousands to Bob's tactics.

The distribution list hasn't changed a bit.

https://beta.bittrex.com/Market/?MarketName=BTC-XBS

The only people that will lose money are the ones that are impatient and fall for the forum FUD.

Trade on traders,

-trade2winnn

thanks for pointing that out, distribution over at bittrex is looking good, and with the current low price the coin is bound to get a wider distribution.
248  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Everyone Tip on Facebook with ChangeTip! Help Make Bitcoin Go Viral. on: January 26, 2015, 02:22:13 PM
Might be an idea to have a schedule of donation suggestions on a daily basis. If enough people follow it, it would draw media attention and possibly raise some money for a few good causes. Like on veterans day, we could donate a few bits to a vets support fb page (hope there is an official one!).

Also, it would spread the word quicker because (presumably) people would be paying attention to 'veterans day pages' on vets day, and if they see people donating via changetip en masse they will want to join in.

Theres almost something on everyday, so there's no limit on targets. Just check Google home page too!

Theres a list of 'on this day in history' entries on this site:
http://www.history.com/this-day-in-history

tomorrow is Nat Geo's birthday (Jan 27, 1888 National Geographic Society founded) - so, to expand on my idea, tomorrow we could send a small tip each to National Geographic magazine:
https://www.facebook.com/natgeo
would be interesting to see if it gains momentum and if the media pick it up, would certainly give BTC users a positive spin for once...

the next day is the anniversary of challenger exploding, we could mass tip NASA:
https://www.facebook.com/NASA

Jan 29, 1936 U.S. Baseball Hall of Fame elects first members
https://www.facebook.com/baseballhall

Jan 30, 1948 Gandhi assassinated
https://www.facebook.com/pages/Gandhi-Peace-Foundation/585948858204481

Jan 31, 1950 Truman announces development of H-bomb
https://www.facebook.com/pages/Nuclear-Age-Peace-Foundation/108290839199798

Feb 01, 1884 Oxford Dictionary debuts
https://www.facebook.com/OxfordDictionaries

etc etc

thats a pretty good idea, ill follow it, ppl always read the comments on facebook im sure they will ask them selfs, what is this tip thing all about.
pretty much all the fb pages listed above are high traffic pages so is a great targeting strategy.
249  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: McDonald's accepting Bitcoins (not really) on: January 26, 2015, 02:00:44 PM
i will not discuss if i like mcdonalds or not ( well i dont like mcdonalds Tongue ) but if someday mcdonalds accept our BTC then for sure this will be a great news for all of us, will be another big step that must be done.

2014 was the worst year for McDonald's since their inception, 15% loss in sales.

So it looks good they're gonna accept Bitcoin soon like all of those endangered dinosaurs (Overstock, Dell, Microsoft), as some sharp tongues keep scoffing.

agree with you Wink

i have to agreed also, if you look at if this major fast food chains begin taking btc has a form of payment, mostly all of them have franchises all over the world making a good impact on adoption.

I don't really get why people are selling so low.
35 BTC marketcap if I am not mistaken, and their is huge potenial for this if dev can deliver what he says.

But hey if you really want to, I have some buy orders in the 2-3k range Smiley

thats about right marketcap is really low right now, what i have noticed is the negative feedback from other users just b/c bobsurplus posted on this coin, then again this coin wasn't an ico and it didnt had any premine.
251  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Everyone Tip on Facebook with ChangeTip! Help Make Bitcoin Go Viral. on: January 26, 2015, 06:31:45 AM

Say the idiot advertise Scamming business in his sig  Roll Eyes

You're just a rat calling others rats.

Hey, I like free bitcoin but I am in no way a Rat and that's pretty shitty of you to say. I go out of my way to help people with bitcoin and have been scammed before doing it. I have a signature for Paybase because i like the .1 a month and a free 1.2 bitcoin a year isn't something to pass up even if I have to be called names by people like you because in the end i can put it in my paper wallet and keep it for my future generations and it will probably be worth a lot more then.
the guy that had a paybase signature, lmao what a joke!

How can you at all compare currency with social network?
Why compare things that are the same? thats not interesting.

Everything needs an userbase and funding so Bitcoin and a social network can be compared in terms of success.
i would compare btc to a world economy not a social network

you can do this create new tread so we can discuss about that also.

sounds good, i was just thinking what if a country decide to go all in btc, their is a few countries that use usd has main currency, would it be good or bad for bitcoin?
