Not sure whether Antoine Griezmann and Giroud are going to welcome this decision, but Mbappé completely deserves this. He was exceptional during Qatar 2022. And he represents the future for France. What is the point in making someone in their mid-30s the captain? In that case after a few years, again they need to search for the new captain. In case of Mbappé, he is already captaining a very high-quality side (Paris Saint-Germain F.C.). Captaining the French national team is not going to be too much of a challenge for him.
The leadership of team shouldn't be based on only skills or on the pitch performance. Leadership requires some outstanding qualities such as patience, courage, team playing and tolerance. I think Mbappe lacks most of these leadership skills. It is possible that he can learn on the job but for me he is not matured for the headship of the French team. Sometimes he behaves very childish and selfish. But in terms of influence, Mbappe has it. The striker is one of the best players in the world.He could use his influence to intimidate match officials and make them favor the French team. But I hope other older player will be humble enough to respect him. There is a possibility that there might be division in the French team if he is not effective. That's somehow expected because after all, Kylian Mbappé is still 24 years old and he's not yet on that phase where he will get matured, and will be ready to lead the team. He still needed more exposures from the games and with a proper guidance, step by step, he will be molded into a much better player that will have the characteristics of being a leader. These things can't be taught overnight, the team needs to believe in him first so that soon enough, Mbappe will be a full package kind of player. You got the point for leading a team it requires certain qualities of patience, maturity and composure and that comes with experience and age . No one can question Mbappe performance he is exceptionally good player and his contribution for France is noticeable. He'll definitely become good captain but with time it's too early for this. |

Good comeback by Srilanka but they still trail by 98 runs. I think they can easily chase the target as Dhananjay de Silva is still on the pitch. He has already score 98 runs so a century is on the way. Any further wickets lost by Srilanka today would not help them therefore they need to form a partnership. What an amazing final we had yesterday between the two best sides Lahore Qalandars and Multan Sultan. A win by one run shows how competitive was the match. It was a dream final anyone could have wished for.

Lahore Qalandars beat Multan Sultans in first match of PSL 8 by one run and they did the same in last game of PSL 8. The match was open for both teams till 120th ball. Abbas Afridi did his best along with Kushdil but they were not able to score 4 runs on last ball. If Kushdil had hit a boundary on last ball then I am sure he will be recalled in Natioanl squad. I love hearing stories like this! It is amazing to see the level of talent and dedication of these players. It must have been an intense match both teams gave it their all. Although Kushdal did not quite hit that last boundary I am sure he will continue to work hard and hone his skills. Who know maybe he will get another chance to make the national squad in the future. Either way it is clear that he is a talented player who gave it his all in this match. Khushdil tried his best and really scored good ad compared to his regular pace and along with him Abbas Afridi did good too but lahore Qalandars got lucky with zaman Khan he literally controlled and stopped runs in last overs otherwise 13 runs in last overs is not a big task . |

Pitches that we saw throughout this tour are mostly for bowlers and are nightmare for batsmen. Indian batting collapsed today on just 117 runs. Kohli and Patel are fortunate enough to score 31 and 29 runs respectively. It was Starc that did most of the damage to Indian batting today. Seems like an easy win for Australia today as there is nothing much to defend by Indian bowlers.
Australia played brilliantly today. Scored 72 runs in 7 overs without losing any wicket. Mitchell Marsh scored 36 of 23 balls. Travis Head scored 32 off 19 balls. Just 46 more runs needed to win. They will win the match very easily I think. Australia will probably try to win the match by 10 wickets. In the second ODI between India and Australia, Australia beat India by ten wickets. In this match, India batted first and scored only 117 runs and got all out.They scored this run and played 26 overs. It was a very embarrassing score for India as their batting line-up was much stronger than other teams. So just like this Australia chased target easily and quickly, wonderful batting by openers Travis Head and mitchell marsh both have scored half centuries with an amazing runrate . The players were at good fitness. By the time of 2026 World Cup Ronaldo will be 40+ and Messi will be close to 40 years of age. I am glad that the deserving team reached the final of this season's Pakistan Super League. There was a wobble towards the end, but then Shaheen Shah Afridi and David Wiese managed to steady the ship. Now the big match will be played tomorrow at 7:30 pm Indian time, between Lahore Qalandars and Multan Sultans. It is going to be Fakhar Zaman/Rashid Khan vs Mohammad Rizwan/Ihsanullah/Abbas Afridi. BTW, I know that a lot of fans will be heartbroken because Babar Azam will not be playing in the finals.

New Zealand has made 386/2 till now, after 100 overs. The partnership between Kane Williamson and Henry Nicholls is now worth 275 runs. India did not miss the target of 188 runs given by Australia. India went into bat with a target of 189 runs in 39.5 overs and achieved their target by 191 runs for the loss of 5 wickets. After a great start against India, Australia lost their way with the bat and were quickly all out. After a good start with the ball, Australia could not hold on. In the end, Australia lost to India by 5 wickets. India beat Australia in the first innings of the match to advance the series win. Hope the Indian cricket team will do well in the second match as well. I congratulate the Indian cricket team for winning today's match.
It was an easy win for the Indian cricket team. Even though they lost some quick wickets early on but KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja batted sensibly and make sure Indian team crosses the line. Since the target was only 189 runs, they just need a responsibility batting by two or more batsmen and the win was easy. As the opposition Australia did not score big, the Indian batsmen were not under much pressure. A couple of big early wickets from them added some pressure to the match but that didn't have much of an impact. Moreover, Indian batsmen know how to recover from destructive matches, even the bowlers are able to take over the responsibility of the batsmen if necessary. The series deciding match is going to be held tomorrow. India can show better performance from the previous. Sad day for Australia their batting literally smashed by Indian ballers , Indian batting have always been strong and mature they had this strength and that's why they have won yesterday. Nepal at the critical situation. Completely unexpected performance from the last order player. From the beginning there is good contribution from the players. The fastest century from the Pakistani born UAE national team player Asif Khan is phenomenal. In the last 6 overs UAE have scored 102 runs which has turned the match completely. The same UAE team in its previous encounter with Nepal scored just 71 runs while chasing the target of 248 runs. It is a something a must win match for Nepal to have its consecutive winning and reach the third position on the points table.
United Arab Emirates look good as they scored a big bunch of runs, most of Thier batter are in form and they score more than half centuries, while on the other side Nepal were also on fire because they scored 269 in 44th over while set better who scored half century were also on a crease which mean they can easily chase the required runs which was 41 runs on 36 balls , but now according to DLS the game were rewarded to Nepal and hence they won the game by 9 runs This is a disappointment and shock for UAE obviously if after giving a huge target of 310 ( as we all know about their previous batting performance) they still had to face defeat due to DLS method. They tried their best to waste time during match and wait for bad light but Nepal batsmen were really good and they earned this victory with their hardwork. I believe it is more like England underestimating Bangladesh. Because Bangladesh is the team which recently lost badly in the T20 World cup. Bangladesh have also lost against some teams in the T20 very badly.
So if we suddenly see Bangladesh whitewashing the England team, of course, it is going to be really surprising for a lot of people. At the same time, to be fair to England, Bangladesh have improved a lot in the T20 format. At least that is what I think watching this series against England.
It is true that Bangladesh won only two out of five games in the last T20 World Cup. Bangladesh won the match between Bangladesh and Netherlands by 9 runs, Bangladesh won the match between Bangladesh and Zimbabwe by three runs. Without these two matches, Bangladesh had no victory in the World Cup. But that Bangladesh will whitewash the champion England team in T20 World Cup is undoubtedly a wonderful thing. However, Bangladesh has improved a lot in the T20 format compared to before. However, Bangladesh's performance in Tests and ODIs has not improved much. Sometimes overconfident gives you heavy shocks or you can say you can't take anything lightly these days and specially in t20 format in which you have to be well prepared and efficient in your game . Unreal scenes at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur. Nepal was at 269/6 after 44 overs, chasing 311 for win. The match was stopped due to bad light and Nepal won by 9 runs (Duckworth–Lewis–Stern method). United Arab Emirates players were furious and they refused to shake hands with the Nepal players. They were arguing with the umpires and the match referee. But UAE should blame themselves. The second innings started at 1:45pm, and the match was stopped by 5:42 pm. UAE took almost 4 hours to bowl 44 overs (as per the ICC regulations 50 overs should be completed by 3.5 hours). They were intentionally slowing down the proceedings hoping to win by DLS, but then the partnership between Jha and Airee took Nepal above DLS par score.
A very interesting match comes to end and Nepal finally won by 9 runs (DLS method), if bad light was not the case still Nepal would have won the match as they were batting really good and their batsman performed sensibly . UAE tried their level best to win but the over in which gulsan jha scored 4 fours and 1 six took the match out of their hand. |

The second test match between New Zealand and Sri Lanka will start tomorrow, and this is going to be the final match of the 2021–2023 ICC World Test Championship. Both of these teams have failed to qualify for the WTC finals. The final will be played between India and Australia at the Oval on 7th June 2023. BTW, it is strange that none of the Indian batsmen feature among the top-5 run scorers in the WTC. The top run scorer is Joe Root, followed by Usman Khawaja and Babar Azam. Marnus Labuschagne and Jonny Bairstow are at 4th and 5th positions respectively.
There is no doubt this ICC World Test Championship is not good for the Indian batting side but good thing now they are second time into final of this event which is going to play second time in England as last time they lost against New Zealand now they are going to face Australia at The Oval but here another interesting thing happening while they are going to face Australia they have bowler at third spot with Ashwin is having 61 wickets which is also good for them as he is still consistent performer in this team with his bowling and many times help them with his batting as well. Which was really incredible and where Multan Sultans scored 160, Lahore Qalandar's lost all wickets for just 76 runs. Multan Sultans had some doubts at the beginning of the game that they would not play very well but in the late stages they played very well and managed to score high runs in the late stages. But Lahore Qalandar's start and finish were not good either

I have seen Multan Sultans earlier games they play with confidence in every match and their team management is very good and they have good bowlers and batsmen in their team. Today there is a match of pakistan league islamabad united vs peshawar zalmi between them both teams are almost equal and in terms of points these two teams are only 2 points apart so it is very difficult to predict between them. But Islamabad United seems a bit more likely to win. What do you think and what are your predictions? Big fall of Lahore Qalandars. They lost all wickets for just 71 runs against 160 runs. Top order middle order every stage just came down the field with their wickets. Such decline in cricket is not new. And this is why it is said that cricket is a game of uncertainty. If UAE wins today they will finish 5th in this tournament since they will get 3 more points which will take them above USA. Nepal understand importance of today's match. Nepal need wikcets as UAE has scored 78 runs and lost only one wikcet. Nepal must try to restrict UAE under 250 otherwise it will be difficult to win the game.
Nepal got up in the points table after there 5 consecutive wins in last part of the tournament. If they have performed well in the start things will be little bit more in favour of Nepal.
If we look on this season and we will see that mostly teams played and made runs below 270. And according to this the United Arab Emirates team is going good and made 122 runs on 3 wickets loss. And in 23 overs. And the Current run rate is 5.13, and if the players maintain this run rate well so the UAE team will cross 250 runs. Which will be little bit difficult for the Nepal team to chase. But I don't think that 250 runs target is a big burden for Nepal team. Because they are now quite experienced. If you look at the previous match, Nepal managed to score 248 runs against UAE but against that, UAE were all out for 71 runs. UAE team lacks consistency and will lose all wickets at any moment. Currently they have managed to score 133 runs in 30 overs losing 4 wickets. However, in today's match, UAE will be able to set a target of 250 runs. UAE started really good they maintained a good run rate and again Muhammad waseem played a mature innings for its team , now after 34 overs UAE is on 155 runs with 4 wickets loss. With this pace they can score 250 runs easily if they don't stumble. |

The performance from Ben Stokes from the tail end have made England win several matches. His absence had really affected the performance of England team. As said the series win couldn't be changed, but England might've avoided the whitewash of the T20 series. The teams to win the toss decided to bowl in every match, but things worked for Bangladesh and England failed. Each format of cricket have got difference. ODI is completely different and it was good that Bangladesh had emerged and improved a lot.
Ben Stokes has made it clear that it is "unsustainable" for him to continue with all three formats of the game. He wanted to concentrate on the T20Is and test format, but the ECB excluded him from the T20I selection last year. At this point, he is participating only in the test format. Still, with an excellent domestic system (probably the best in the world), I would have thought that England had a pool of enough younger players to replace seniors like Stokes. That doesn't seems to be the case and they still struggle with player selection, especially when playing abroad. Bangladesh has always been a competitive team as far as T20 format is concerned they have shown good performances in that rather than other formats ODI and test . This series is an example of that but still shocked and surprising to see England end in a whitewash. |
