Wait you're the same bitusher posting in r/bitcoinmarkets?? lol

Clue me in on the joke.

Just because I occasionally read bitcoin markets and post there doesn't make me a day trader, I am and continue to be an investor.

Just saying hi cuz I saw the same post in the Daily, ETF thread and now here, no joke. I post there all the time, and I'm not a trader

Excellent ETF analysis from kegman83

https://www.reddit.com/r/BitcoinMarkets/comments/5xtgjc/megathread_etf_part2/dekzecs/

Quote from: kegman83
So is the deregulatory attitude in place at the SEC? Mary Jo White is gone since the last extension, leaving 2 members left.

"If the market begins to move toward blockchain technology, regulators need to be in a position to lead, harnessing its benefits and responding quickly to potential weaknesses." -Kara Stein, SEC

Its worth noting this quote is from 2015. Since then JP Morgan has released Quorum, an Etherium based ledger. Enterprise Ethereum Alliance is very much a thing now whether you like it or not. It includes banks like BNY Mellon, CME Group, ING, UBS, Santander and JPMorgon.

While I dont have many quotes from Piwowar, he's a GOP stalwart and very anti-regulation. He recently called for allowing ordinary investors to buy unregistered securities.. Basically, he wants everyone to buy OTC stocks, not just bigwigs. Thats insane btw, and what the SEC was made to prevent. I dont see him holding COIN up.

Trump nominated Jay Clayton to the SEC, but seeing as he hasnt been voted on by the Senate, its probably not going to happen before the 13th.

Its worth noting that a tie vote by the SEC means COIN is approved.

TL;DR Hold on to your butts.

Wait you're the same bitusher posting in r/bitcoinmarkets?? lol

You mean 2 more days until Wednesday when COIN ETF gets denied? Yeah can't wait...

Hey Bitchick is here!  Cheesy

How are you and your hubby doing?  Still holding for the long term?  What's your take on how Bitcoin is doing?

I am still hodling.  Husband is less of a hodler than me and has been selling systematically.  Our strategy is to follow the "SSS" plan.  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=345065.msg3697405#msg3697405

Compared to 2013 I feel much less emotional and more level headed though.  I understand how getting too emotional during rises is dangerous and it is better to just have a logical plan in place and stick with it.

I think we are on a brink of a bubble.  Of course depending on what happens with the ETF this coming week will determine how quickly we see the bubble take off.   I fully expect to see prices in the $5000 range but I have always been the optimist in regards to BTC, hence why I was willing to hold since 2013. Wink

Lol I remember how delusional you were in 2013. I think I was too after the nov 2013 rally, but boy you were on another level lmao.. talking about 2014 was gonna be the "year of bitcoin" and shit lol.  Too bad yall started selling BTC though, should've been buying during the bear market like me Wink

It looks clear now that the ETF will be approved and there will be a pre-announcement in 3 days, this Wednesday after the market closes in NY. There is enough information floating around now from government employees that know someone who knows someone who knows something.

The pre-announcement will have just enough information to leave some doubt but will also be enough to bring the price closer to an equilibrium in the event of a full ETF approval announcement. The last thing a government fish-head wants is to be credited with spiking bitcoin by 200%, so pre-announcements and copious leaks is all part of the plan to get it priced in beforehand.

Thanks Elwar for being the go-between again, your help is appreciated.

Wow this afternoon looks like we have lyrics competition...

This is how much you boring with the price stable i think right? don't worry....some hours to open the banks again... $1300 will be broken soon ?

any ideas?

Yeah, I think $1300 will happen tomorrow.  Given all the claims we've had this weekend that the ETF is already approved, regardless of how false thise claims may be, and the banks reopening to let money flow to the exchanges, I think people won't be able to resist taking extra steps to make sure they're on that rocket when it launches  Tongue

I'm intrigued by Elwar's jump to 3 in his countdown!

I asked before but up to now i had no answer so can you please tell me what are the news regarding the ETF? i saw elwar posted the number 3...
now you tell me the ETF is already approved... what happend?? i left for some hours yesterday and today and i missed all the fun?

This is the "news" about the ETF, although I wouldn't bet the house on it. If I worked for the SEC I wouldn't risk prosecution by blurting confidential news out ahead of time.

My good friend is Pete McMillan and he works as a clerk for the SEC. He sent me a screenshot yesterday of his laptop. On it was the press release for next Wednesday on the Bitcoin Winklevii ETF... So the decision has already been made folks.

I thought this bit of information would silence the debate that has been raging the past few hours. Remember to only invest more than you can afford and never take the advice of anyone that is prepared to give it. Also, remember that no shoes were made for a cobbler's feet before they are first made for his children.

What a load of BS.... anyone believing this is a moron

An early good morning Bitcoinland.

Up early for medical appointment but still missed the action. Let's see how we're doing today.

Another leg up - check.

New ATH - check.

Broke $1700CAD - check.

Auto-correction - check.

Heading back up - check.

All is well in Bitcoinland... currently $1268USD at Bitcoinaverage.

It's almost hard to believe that a couple of days ago we were worrying about things like ATHs and gold ounce parity. Now we take them for granted.

Onward and upward. Go Bitcoin go.

Broke $2000 - not check

COIN ETF approved - not check

Am I rich yet - not check

Sad

800?

More like $200.

Bitcoin experiment over... it's time to move on folks. See you in the next life, maybe we'll be rich one day

Guys.. I'm drunk, and I just bought some more....I never bought this high before, not even close. I think I made a big mistake, but fuck it!

251  Economy / Speculation / Re: Big ETF pump on: February 22, 2017, 10:23:13 PM
but with such an great increase just before an 60 a 70% chance of a little dump (ETF) seems quite strange to me. It seems that the market dont expect a 'big' dump. Is this an usual patern to the earlier ETF aproval dates. And didnt the price pumped and decreased in the  earlier ETF scenario's ?

I'll say it again, despite all the chatter about an ETF pump, the ETF is small fry compared to bigger market forces at work. Bitcoin doesn't care about an ETF

I do...

Seems like we need help to break that damn $1200 barrier
252  Economy / Speculation / Re: Big ETF pump on: February 22, 2017, 09:54:55 PM
Extreme pump??

We have been at this price level 4 years ago!!

We have been trying to go break this level and failed twice, once in Dec and another time in Jan... what extreme pump are you talking about? This is fucking bitcoin, "extreme pump" is not the correct word
253  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 22, 2017, 09:47:25 PM
I am sorry to spoil the party but...
s we are approaching all time high, the transaction fees are spiking as well !

https://bitcoinfees.info/

We have now just broken through 50 cents per tx for the 3 blocks fee !

The network is bloated and reacts to the bloat by an increase of transaction prices to try to limit the increase in transactions.

That's NOT a good thing folks  Sad

Market doesn't give a shit.... Bitcoin's value right now doesn't come from it being used for shopping. Go fork off with the BU clowns or use fucking Monero to buy your coffee
254  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 21, 2017, 09:37:24 PM
Is it possible that we go to Mars? Or are we going to stay on the moon for now?

$1000 is moon?? We were already there in 2013!! Maybe moon for people who bought bitcoin for $30 but it is certainly not even close to moon right now. Get your expectations up... $1000 is old news. Talking about mars and pluto when we can't even break 2013 ATH lol

Look at you.  Party pooper.

We have a 5% price increase in 24 hours and a 10% increase in less than a week.  Seems like this whole upward and ongoing price migration situation is going pretty well, and the battle for the ATH has not even begun yet.. has it? - even though I can see that the volume of the past 24 hours has picked up a little bit, those levels do not seem like any kind of battle...

Accordingly.. it seems as if both sides have yet to really employ any kind of meaningful ammunition in regards to our current and ongoing upwards price migration situation.

Do you see things otherwise?  glass half full?  overly anxious?  expecting more? , which one is it?

I mean back in the day we used to wipe our ass with 5-10% rises... now it's considered "moon" and we haven't even broken 2013 ATH. That is not moon. I miss the days of 10X-50X rises which will probably never happen again.... especially if people are putting $1000 price on a pedestal

In any case, I expect if he tries to move funds, he will be asked to enter the higher-level access private key which he has apparently lost. So sounds like he will need to go through some identification process and be issued new keys?

But do you know if I can view this since I'm logged in?

I'm afraid to click on the Password reset settings incase the site logs me out and asks me to enter current password which I don't have

Can you issue a comment on a blog post without it asking for your password (aka private key)?

If yes, then it means your private key is stored somewhere (either on the Steem server or your computer).

But again, that is not the master private key. It is only the private key for posting content.

If you attempt to transfer some of your STEEM to Poloniex, it is going to ask you for your master private key. Which you don't have any where apparently.

In that case I may have to send it to another account and then send it to Poloneix, i have a decent amount of Steem

Good morning ladies and gentlemen of Bitcoinland.

It's nice to see that 1000EUR seems to be holding along with yesterday's gains.

The battle for $1100 continues though... currently $1097USD at Bitcoinaverage, after bursting through and then pulling back.

As I said yesterday, I figure we'll probably spend a few days of sideways consolidation before the next proper leg up past the Stamp ATH.

It was nice to see the CAD price pass $1450 even if dropped a little since.

Go Bitcoin go. Anyone still waiting for $800?  Wink
Never going back down to $800 there mate.
NeVeR! Grin

Yea sure... wait til ETF gets denied, BU forces a shitty ass HF, and PBOC shuts down all BTC exchanges... $800 can happen anytime, but hopefully it wont

Smooth,

I tried logging into steemit on a different computer and realized I don't remember my password. I don't even remember making one, and I think I joined before the login system was changed. Luckily I'm always logged in on my laptop. Any tips before I get locked for good

If you are logged in on your laptop and your browser has stored the password, you can retrieve it and then make a note of it somewhere. (On Firefox, go to Options, then Security, and then click on saved logins)

What I'm asking is, would I be able to view my password or change the password without being asked for the currency password since I'm logged in?

Or if there's some private key I can access and save, since i'm logged in, and use that for access if I get logged out

Except this time it's different.... because I actually have enough bitcoin to make me "well off" if we see another rise like that. So it's probably not gonna happen... I will never be free from the corporate world  Cry

Actually, you don't want a parabolic pump-and-dump like last time.

What you want is a steady rise to a 5X increase and subsequent floor.... that actually stays there permanently. I think that we'll see this within the next two years.

I wouldn't mind either... I can at least, even for a moment, feel rich while the parabolic rise is at the peak hehe
