I know it's too risky to invest at this point but if you don't take the risk how could you call yourself an investor?
I believed this is the right time to buy all the top altcoins that have the potential and already proven their works. If they can't recover and give you profit for a couple of weeks then hodl until the right time will come because this bearish market will end and will not last forever.
Investing is too risky that is why always remember what the wise men says, Don't invest what you don't afford to lose.

I learned too much from this year. First thing is if you already make a profit don't afraid to sell it instead of holding because there are dumpers waiting to dump, then if you want to hodl just buy back after the dump.
Second, always make sure to review the project before investing because almost of the ICO now is scam or being abandoned after the successful sale.
Lastly, invest in top altcoins because they can recover in a sudden.

For me, I check the bounty managy first then, the ICO team members of the project. But that not ends there, you must also observed the activities of the project like checking there appearance in conferences or activities like doing live streaming or even by promoting their project through an interview. If none of this happen during the first mont then consider it as a scam or weak project. Also check their telegram if there are legit investors not just a paid chatters. Also check their smart contract.

Well it's really hard to detect scams ICO or projects this day because they are wrap nicely that in every details show perfectly. I as bounty hunter for a year, I encounter so many projects ended in scam even their teams are verified by the ICO review site like icobench.
I do believed that icobench do kyc through video call and gathering valid documents. Even there is legit check they can still ended in scam. The best way to prevent from being scam is to verified their team and make sure they are active in showing up in conferences and doing live streaming.

It is possible because i know some of my friends got more than 1 bitcoin for one year by doing bounties. Some of them already buy a house and lot and that is all because of bitcoin. Even the market is so down now there are still a chance to earn from it. You have to choose the right one. I do believed someone manipulating the market that is why the value of each cryptocurrencies are going so dip.
I think something is going to happen for the good of cryptocurrency, that is why they're manipulated. But don't worry that will end soon, just buy and hodl for the good. Every market situations come to this point and it depend to all holders how they're going to react in it and that what makes the situations more worst or better.

If this will continue I don't think that cryptocurrencies still have potential in the future. And that will never happen because this just a part of it because of those holders who played the market.

Well your suggestion about cold wallet is good but not all of us own person computer, so I suggest to app in an adriod or iOS.

I think most of those investors now learned from their past investment which is obviously lose their investment. We all seen this market situation, falled dip and deeper so, no wonder why they're very careful now.
In every ICO even the project is so good and have potential it's really important that the development is moving according to the road map.
We see plenty of of good ICO but most of them never reached their softcap it because lot of successful ICO who reached the hardcap but after listing in a good exchange market the price fall down almost 90% from the ICO price in a matter of minute. That is why they are gone.

Last year I don't have any idea what is bounty but my friends got rich their, I mean they have savings and bought house and lot. Maybe compare last year the Bounties are profitable because of the market situation which very impressive. This year only the first 5 months are profitable, after that most of the ICO is scam and investors lose their trust that is why the market now is getting dip. Still last year is the best. And because of this market, many of our co hunters stop doing bounty campaign.
