Have you thought about doing a Discord, Twitter, and Telegram page yet to get awareness out about this coin? There is only 1.6G/H total on the network with a total of like 15 miners? On scrypt algo that should be way bigger hash rate with 100's if not 1000's of miners. Need to build a community to generate interest.

Hi. I don't know well about Dogecoin. BitcoinEssence, BTE uses Scrypt algorithm, same with Litecoin. BTE's transaction speed is very fast. Even 1 second. And block generation time is roughly 15 second. (can check at blockexplorer site) This means after you sent BTE, after 15 seconds receiver can use it immediately. And very robust network status. Even if mining whales comes in, its ok, he can mine most of blocks, but even if he left, difficulty will shortly recovered to matched current weak miners. For normal users, this means transaction status, time is very stable regardless of big miners intent. And enough supply, up to 2.1 billion. Here is mining pool's list based on in this thread. 1. If you are on Windows you could try right clicking on the folder and choose "Restore Previous Versions", maybe you could restore the old blockchain. If not, perhaps the dev could upload it so people can see their balance for the swap. I would do it myself but I did not mine any coins on the old chain. I deleted the old versions of blockhain! dev did not warn about the restart of the coin and just created a new topic ok include that situation, we can discuss, maybe you can remember, just we can talk. Be careful, if you previously installed 0.8.x version program, delete whole files at c:/user/(username)/Appdata/Roaming/BitcoinEssence and re-install or re-run program. And before install new version, as I mentioned earlier in this thread, if you have previous mined balance, screenshot it and send me. Wallet's first page, [ Overview ], there your wallet balance and recent transactions should shown. Send screenshot to my email, wsxdrfv@hanmail.net or personal message. You would include, 1. NoticeCompletely new wallet (version 0.16.3) released at github! (2018-11-07)
IF you have old client (prior than 0.16.3), please follow this instruction.
You can now download the updated version of the wallet from the Github page and install it. Everybody needs to upgrade the wallet! This is a hard fork. You may need to download the blockchain again. You can delete everything except the file wallet.dat from the folder c:\users\Your username\Appdata\Roaming\Bitcoinessence and then start the new version of the wallet. This will start the download of the blockchain again. It will reject all invalid block after the attack started. I have upgraded the coin daemon on the BTE servers now. I started the reindex process for the block explorer. The mining pool operators also need to upgrade the coin daemon! The mining pool operators need to start the coin daemon with the parameter -maxtipage=1000000000 until the first blocks have been mined. Without this parameter the coin daemon will think the block download has not been finished. Because the latest block is now 4 days old.

When communicating via a network, you don't know how your counterparty is 'reading' the values. Most significant bit at the most left or most right position? Big-endian (most significant byte has the lowest address [left-to-right reading]) is also referred to network byte order. Depending on the system you are using your pc might use big- or low- endian format. But when communicating via network, always big endian is used (IPv4/6, TCP/UDP). Thats the reason for the mysterious reverse order. I don't know Endian well, but perfect description. |
