- Is this built on ETH or Bitcoin`s BlockChain ?

244  Economy / Speculation / Re: what you think about bitcoin in like 5 years? on: October 05, 2017, 04:11:00 AM
At least $10,000 for sure. Also lot more people will know about it and accept it. People won`t be able to call it a fraud or a bubble because they`ll be laughted at by everyone else
245  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin make Banks disappear? on: October 05, 2017, 04:09:50 AM
It can but it won`t. I think it will only change the type of banking from the old fashioned print money mentality to a high-tech solvent institutions

248  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much risk in bitcoin investement ? on: October 05, 2017, 04:05:01 AM
Huge! This is a very volatile environment and you can lose most of your money tomorrow as well as double or triple up your money too

250  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin is not gambling on: October 05, 2017, 04:03:29 AM
You can lose all your money in gambling but Bitcoin and other investments are different. You may loose like %90 of your money but it`s almost impossible to lose all of your money.
251  Bitcoin / Armory / Is Armory that good? Why? on: October 05, 2017, 04:01:32 AM
I heard a lot about the Armory wallet being the best and I don`t understand what is the difference between that and the others like trezor
252  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Core 0.15.0.1 Released on: October 05, 2017, 03:51:50 AM
I don`t see much of a speed change
253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: All ways to cash out your Tether (USDT) ? on: April 25, 2017, 04:12:22 PM
I heard tether.to can sends your tether into your bank. But they take forever to verify your account and your information. So far it`s been 5 days I`m still waiting on them. So are there any other ways to exchange your USDT to USD and send the money to your bank?

I think maybe we should make a list here with all sites and options people can use to cash out their Tether and get the fiat into bank accounts

Have the same problem here.Sold a bitcoin on Poloniex and was trying to cash it out or buy a bitcoin/ether on a lower price on Kraken or some other exchanges, but it looks like nobody wants to sell it for usdt. If you want to convert it to usd on Kraken, then you will loose around 10% of value...Doesn't make any sense. Will try to wait until account verification, and just send it to the bank. Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

After I sent them about 5 emails and support tickets, they finally got back to me after about 3 weeks saying sorry we`re so busy bla bla bla... now on top of all the document I have submitted multiple times through the site, they also want to have a selfie of my holding a sign "to tether" while I also hold my ID in my hand as well.

They`re really pain in the ass and so far I really dont like their service, their volume, their fulfillment on the promises. Even though the system is promising
254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Safe Omni Layer is? on: April 19, 2017, 12:53:11 AM
I don`t really trust company references anymore. Peer reviews and user experiences are more trust worthy nowadays. That`s why I haven`t tried it yet. But since there is not much info about the safety of it anywhere maybe I`ll put a small amount in a wallet and start from there. Hope more people would write here about their experiences

Howdy - Craig from Omni here.  I forgot that that screen even existed.  We just wanted everyone to understand that everything in this space is experimental and at your own risk.  However, the software behind Omni Core is used by Bitfinex, Tether, Poloniex, Shapeshift, Kraken, Bittrex, BTC-E, Exodus Wallet, Jaxx, HolyTransaction, AmbiSafe, and probably many others I can’t think of right now.

If you have any questions, check out reddit.com/r/romni or hit me up on here.

The project was originally called Mastercoin and ran the first (and second) decentralized crowd sale.  We’ve been around a long while with rock-solid software.  I hope you enjoy using it.

Craig

Hi Craig,

It`s nice to see someone from the team taking the initiative to answer here. I really appreciate that. I understand that message is just to say do things at your own risk but one thing I don`t understand is that, if Omni is safe, secure and old enough to mature and become a "rock-solid" software, why do you still have a very serious, scary looking message there?

I want to remind everyone that the message says
- This software should be considered as "Alpha Level". not even beta.
- Your everything can be lost due to glitches and bugs
- Don`t use it for significant amounts of BTC

These are pretty bold and scary statements. What I undestand from your message is that software is safe, solid and mature enough to be used for big amounts but the message says the opposite.

So I`d appreciate if you can elaborate the conflict a bit more.

PS: Still haven`t used Omni yet because of that msg.
255  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: USD Value Based Coins on: April 15, 2017, 09:16:01 PM
You are trying to send your documents to Tether.to? I believe you could use it without sending anything If you are trading from Poloniex or another exchange unless of course you are trading huge volumes daily then you will need to provide details just like any other currency.

My amounts are big also I don`t want to get stuck on a limit so I usually try to get my accounts verified right away.

Does anyone know any coin that has (and always will be) the same value as USD?
I`m talking about a coin that will never lose its value and will always stay as the same with USD. So 1 USD will always be 1 Xcoin

A coin that "will always" and "never lose its value" hasn't been invented yet and certainly will not.
Tether coin is just a coin with a company behind it that claims it has 16 million dollars in the bank and no matter what they will buy back your coins. (short story)

Guarantee? 0.

that`s a pretty good explanation actually. I agree with you.

Tether is definitely unique in its own way. But that doesn`t make them any more trustworthy than other coins.

Anyways, I`m coming back to my initial question again.
Is there any other coin similar or same as Tether?
From your answers I`m guessing no. But just want to make sure again.

So just like USDT (Tether) but so far I~m very disappointed with them. It`s been more than a week and they haven`t even verified my account or responded my support tickets. So I`m looking for a coin that is similar (but better) than Tether

Seriously? No one?
258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Which BTC Exchange company is the most trustworthy with excellent cust service? on: April 14, 2017, 08:55:45 PM
It`s time for me to come back to BTC exchange after few years. But I see so many laws and companies have changed. I used to work with BTC-e and coinbase but I was not happy with them as coinbase is very expensive and BTC-e doesn`t work with US banks anymore.

So which company is the best for US traders?
I`d like to work with a company which has low exchange fees, very good customer service and their response time, quick verification process and low deposit/withdrawal fees.
and most importantly a trustworthy company where you`d put all of your money in and not be worried the company will be "hacked" or go bankrupt or something

I`d appreciate all the ideas
259  Economy / Exchanges / Re: I dont see USD withdrawal option in Kraken on: April 13, 2017, 03:30:38 AM
It says you haven't reach the minimum amount to withdraw, is that an error on your part or theirs?

I don`t have any USD or USDT there to withdrawal now. That`s why it says that but that`s not the point. It doesn`t show or give you the option to wire transfer your fiat USD. There is no page for it.

I am just curious why people need to convert their money to tether when they can easily and instantly convert btc to usd.

One answer to that would be Arbitrage.

How about c-cex?

I`m pretty picky when it comes to exchange companies now. I wish I could work with Kraken but seems like they dont even answer to support requests.
