"We are still waiting for Dwolla to give us a "Green Light" and continue to work with them. Since we do not have any reply from them after sending them all the necessary documentation we want to play safe."
Mt Gox when do you expect to receive an answer from Dwolla regarding the "Green Light"?

What is the fee charged by Mt Gox for this type of withdrawal? I understand the banks may add some extra fees. What is the time for withdrawals of less than $10,000 to a US bank account?
|

|
Are these ACH transfers or bank wire transfers through the Fedwire system?

Are these ACH transfers or bank wire transfers through the Fedwire system? Usually the fees are very different. ACH transfers have to clear like a check does 2 to 3 business days. Bank wires through the fedwire system do not have to clear but banks usually charge about $40 per bank wire transfer vs low or no cost for ACH transfers.

Prices are still low at BitFloor compared to Mt Gox. All you traders in the US make a cash deposit at a Chase branch, or use ING Direct P2P or PopMoney and get some USD over to your BitFloor account and scoop up the bargain bitcoins while they last!

"Guys... we already replied to this question again and again and again. Please make sure to read carefully what we post. We are still waiting for Dwolla to give us a "Green Light" and continue to work with them. Since we do not have any reply from them after sending them all the necessary documentation we want to play safe. They can at anytime close or account and freeze any funds on it. To avoid this problem we are carefully monitoring the account and asked for people to be verified. "
Any idea on when you expect to receive a reply from Dwolla and when withdrawals to Dwolla might start to happen in a more timely manner? Or is this like waiting for your physical issue of Bitcoin magazine to arrive?

Is SatoshiDice having a big effect on the number of transactions?

BitFloor recently passed CryptoXChange to move from #7 to #6 on the 30-day BTC/USD volume list at bitcoincharts.com. Congratulations BitFloor. Keep on Rockin'!

Certainly volume is Mt Gox's strength. But for BTC/USD traders one basic requirement is to be able to transfer USD in and out of the exchange within a reasonable amount of time. For a lot of BTC/USD traders here on the forum that's where Mt Gox has been lacking recently. With bank wires being expensive and both bank wires and dwolla being slow, traders are starting to look elsewhere. For those in the US, I'd suggest looking at BitFloor, CampBX and Intersango in that order. If this were a horse race, my money would be on BitFloor who's doing a lot of things the right way.

So why mt gox and other exchanges triding with them and it is got 3 largest volume of USD/BTC and first largest volume of AUD/BTC? this is funny but i can't get a answer from them for 3 days. CryptoXChange is 1st on the 30-day volume list of BTC/AUD at Bitcoincharts.com. However they are in 7th place on the 30-day volume list of BTC/USD exchanges shown at Bitcoincharts.com. USD deposit and withdrawal options for those in the US could be better IMHO.

Why would I want to withdraw in dollars? When I want something I buy it with BTC. That's why I bought them with dollars in the first place.
Not all merchants accept BTC yet. And just as I sometimes have need to convert USD to EUR GBP JPY etc, it's good for a currency if you can easily convert it to other currencies. Therefore, I think it's important to have the ability to convert BTC in other currencies quickly and easily. You'd be amazed at how many merchants still accept fiat currencies as payment.

I see 1,940 BTC for sale at $6.50 on BitFloor.com. That's a pretty big order for that little exchange. BitFloor's volume has been growing and I hope it continues to grow. Great options for Americans for depositing and withdrawing USD.

Looking at USD exchanges on Bitcoincharts.com I see Mt Gox has the highest price. I can understand why the sellers want to sell at the exchange with the highest price. But then they find they have trouble withdrawing the USD in a timely fashion. However, I'm wondering why are the buyers buying at the highest price when there are several other exchanges with lower prices? Certainly one of those would have a way that they can deposit USD. Why do you think the buyers keep buying at Mt Gox?

"They can at anytime close or account and freeze any funds on it."
This definitely seems like withdrawing USD from Mt Gox via Dwolla is a crap shoot. Your USD could get frozen for an indefinite period of time. No thanks. I'm taking my BTC and USD to another exchange.

I'm not really complaining about the rebates, I just think it favors size of orderbook over volume. (e.g. it takes longer for two parties to come to an agreeable price because they both want to be the maker not the taker.) In general I tend to do limit orders regardless of where I purchase, so as a policy it favors my trading style.

I think offering rebates is one thing that BitFloor is doing better than the other exchanges. But there are other things they are doing better as well. Such as 1) offering better methods of depositing and withdrawing USD 2) processing deposits and withdrawals more quickly 3) faster responses to support questions and better customer service 4) better website 5) better API (I'm told, I haven't used it) All of these are reasons the volume on BitFloor has been growing. If BitFloor continues to do better in these areas, I think there volume will continue to grow on both an absolute basis and on relative basis when compared against other BTC/USD exchanges.

Maybe we should do like L. Ron Hubbard and start our on Church. Which sounds better, The Bitcoin Church or the The Church of Cryptography If done properly we can get tax-exempt status just like Scientology. OK. All set. I'm selling High Priest credentials for the low, low price of just 999.99 BTC. But wait! There's much, much more! If you send bitcoins within the next 10 minutes, I'll double your order for free! That's right, you'll get High Priest credentials for you and someone else with genuine certificates of authenticity. (just pay separate processing fee). Just call 1-800-CryptoMe or send your bitcoins to 148dSrU47p895y6mRjTuSkc3sEua17CdcY

None of BitFloor, CampBX or Intersango accept Liberty Reserve. BitFloor accepts deposits from those outside the US via international bank wire transfer. However, I can see where most of those outside the US would have no option for depositing USD to CampBX or Intersango.

Whoa! I see the 24-hour low at BitFloor was $5.41. Somebody bought some cheap coins. If I had more USD I'd put bids in on BitFloor.
